    Has to be reviewed in the context of what it's supposed to be. A fun throwback to the old arcade games of the 80s and early 90s. And in this, the game succeeds. It's easy to pick up, fun with friends and takes you back to a simpler time. That said, for those desiring more depth, this is where the simplicity becomes a limiting factor.     A high-quality game with solid music and outstanding graphics that, unfortunately, rides the coattails of Turtles in Time a bit too much to stand effectively on its own. While such an opinion may seem controversial to some, I believe that this opinion does come with a recognition that this came clearly has a lot of love put into it.

    Shredder's Revenge seems to me like a great game to play through over a few nights with friends. However, anything it does must stand in the looming, aging shadow of its predecessor - an unfortunate situation to be in, because this is a solid retro-style beat 'em up regardless of what came before it. It adds some new features to help it be something more than Turtles in Time, but it doesn't feel like it did quite enough to really wow me.    … Expand
