Amazing game! Very close to perfection! I don't give maximum points because you can always improve! :)

I find everything at the highest levels, the gameplay is fun and deep, the Art direction is unique: it's a perfect blend between realism and stylization, the characters are believable, well characterized and divinely animated, the sound design and the soundtracks are innovative and charismatic.

Plus it's packed with content, both single player and competitive! The World Tour mode (single player) is a real revolution in the genre.

I can't find a REAL flaw or content they could have added.
I advise anyone, passionate about fighting games or not, to give it a chance, the developers have done everything to make it accessible and fun for any level, from professional to novice.

For sure i will devote tons of hours on this game!

Drive System is a worthwhile addition, bringing new strategies and combos without bogging down the pacing. Battle Hub is feature-packed and works well, backed by solid netcode, even at relatively higher pings. Modern Controls lower the barrier for first-time players, and Real-Time Commentary adds a bit more spice to matches. Character creation and cosmetic variety is also strong.

    Bad-
No "Change Character" option when rematching in Battle Hub. World Tour feels comparatively weaker than anything else, with lackluster story and side missions, not to mention the poor AI. Pop-in is also visible at certain points in Metro City.

    Thoughts-
Even with a not-great-but-overall-okay World Tour mode, Street Fighter 6 is a worthwhile investment for fans. It’s everything that its predecessor should have been at launch and more, from its deep roster and excellent fighting system to the incredible presentation and features available. Fans of the genre have been eating well for the past few years, but Capcom’s latest is both a return to form for the franchise and peak fighting game goodness.

If you need something to get the awkward taste of "Street Fighter V" out of your mouth, then "Street Fighter 6" is just the thing for you. In no way does SF6 feel like it was rushed for Evo nor does it have the presentation of vomit on a plate.

SF6 feels like it takes all the best parts of SF4 and SF5 and combines them in a new and inventive way. All the characters feel more "kitted" than they did in previous SF iterations. Dee Jay, for example, no longer feels like the “Dollar Store” version of Guile… He feels an actual unique character.

Whether you’re a casual, a pro, a rookie or a veteran, there is something in "Street Fighter 6" for you! I can't wait for more characters to be released and I hope Best Girl Sakura makes her way into the roster soon.

So before I get too far into writing this review, I should make it clear where I'm coming from. I'm a fighting game noob. I enjoy Super Smash Brothers pretty casually and I occasionally pick up fighting games when they are themed around other things I enjoy (Injustice, Marvel VS Capcom, Power Rangers Battle for the Grid, etc) but I haven't really played a Street Fighter game since SF2So before I get too far into writing this review, I should make it clear where I'm coming from. I'm a fighting game noob. I enjoy Super Smash Brothers pretty casually and I occasionally pick up fighting games when they are themed around other things I enjoy (Injustice, Marvel VS Capcom, Power Rangers Battle for the Grid, etc) but I haven't really played a Street Fighter game since SF2 and I've certainly never been good at them. I caught interest in Street Fighter 6 after seeing all the trailers showing off World Tour mode and goddamn am I glad that I did. This game is absolutely fantastic and everything I'd ever want out of a fighting game. I honestly hope every fighting game takes this example and includes something like World Tour Mode because I need more of this.

First off, the modern controls are exactly what I needed. They aren't perfect as it can be difficult to control exactly what move you are using, but for someone like me who doesn't usually play a whole lot of fighting games, they are good enough to learn the combos with. This was another good inclusion that I think more fighting games should learn from.

World Tour Mode is what got me to pick this up and that was a good decision on my part as it is VERY fun. I enjoy exploring the world as my custom fighter and learning the different fighting styles of the different characters and combining their special moves to make something my own. I wish you could customize the different fighting styles a bit more. Being locked into one character's moves outside of the special moves is a bit annoying. I'm sure it would be difficult to program, but if I could customize all of the moves exactly, it would make this game that much better and make my character a lot more personal.

I also spent a bit of time in practice mode and can appreciate all the different settings you can set up. While I'm sure this is even more useful for someone who takes this game super seriously and plays competitively, it was helpful enough for a beginner like myself. I was a bit annoyed by the forced tutorial though at the beginning of the game and even more annoyed that everything in it is just taught in World Tour Mode anyway.

From a graphics and performance standpoint, there's nothing particular special but nothing bad either. It runs at a smooth 60 fps, although not by default. I forget if there was a setting when I first started playing (as that was nearly 20 hours of gameplay ago) but I had to look up if the game was 60 FPS and then go turn it on.

My only real complaint is the starting roster. I know there's plans for DLC and all that, but it's still disappointing to see that the roster is a bit small. While I know I've missed out on a few Street Fighter games, but I know there's LOTS of more characters to choose from to include, and the 18 available characters just doesn't feel like enough, especially given how World Tour Mode works. 30 feels like it would have been the right number from the start. I do hope that as they introduce the new DLC characters, they also show up in World Tour Mode and add more story and gameplay to that as well. It's easily been my favorite part of this game. Bringing in some characters from Final Fight would also be neat as that's a series I also enjoy and was happy to see so many references to.

All in all, I hope every other fighting game learns from this and this because the default way of putting fighting games together. There's always plenty to do as far as multiplayer goes in most fighting games, but most fighting games can't seem to get the single player right. Street Fighter 6 on the other hand does and if the next Mortal Kombat game or Tekken game or anything along those lines also has a mode similar to World Tour Mode, they too would be a day one purchase for me. Capcom hit it out of the park with this and it's certainly the most fun I've had with a fighting game in years. Would recommend to just about anyone..

    - a mode with stage gimmick or alternative way to win the round is surprisingly good… but at the same time too bad they hadn’t put real effort in this menu. Now, it’s becoming a kinda party game feature.
    - extremely expanded training mode. I’ve to go through yet..

    Con’s
    - the most of stages/ world in the world tour mode is just too small. - the arcade mode which let you feel awfully out-dated after playing hours on world tour mode
    - instead of adding a lot of new characters, I still miss good-old-players like Akuma, Dan, sakura Ibuki etc etc..

..After having many FinalFight characters, will Haggar join it as playable character?

Despite that, the World Tour mode adds a fun element to the game and is definitely worth exploring.

The graphics in Street Fight 6 are pretty solid, capturing the essence of the Street Fighter series. While they may not be groundbreaking, fans of the franchise will appreciate the familiar visual style. One major highlight of the game is its extensive roster, featuring both current and upcoming characters through the season pass. This adds a significant amount of variety and excitement to the gameplay experience.

if you are looking at the reviews for this game honestly just play the demo. if you like the demo you will like the game.

besides that i will still review this game with some positives and negatives and overall i give it a 9/10 and it is really really good to the point where i am addicted to this game. like im already 45 hours in and i haven't finished the story so that should give you an idea of how much i love this game so without further ado lets get into the positives

    the pros of this game:
PC shared screen offline co op in 2023! (DAMN ACTIVISION IT IS POSSIBLE ON PC! *COUGH* CALL OF DUTY *COUGH*)

immense variety of likeable characters with unique play styles

free online casual and competitive (suck on that consoles!)

fantastic modding community pumping out mods daily on nexus

arcade modes for your favourite characters

good music that doesn't distract from the fighting

battle hub environment for if you want that to play online but you can also do it in fighting ground if you don't

gameplay mechanics that can sway the tide of a battle and so much more blah blah blah see for yourself

    negatives:

some characters are overpowed and i think zangeif is the most notable character with this issue. his damage is ridiculous and he plays like a boss battle so his damage needs a nerf but besides that hes fine and capcom did a great job of balancing characters in this game and i still really like zangeif. i just feel bad playing as him because dealing with him is a pain

notable characters missing like M bison and vega but they will probably arrive as paid dlc so i guess i will be giving you more of my money capcom lmao

you have to pay virtual currency for recolours which is **** and you also have to pay real money to get the classic outfits for characters or grind. but thanks to this being the pc version you can just mod the classic skins over the default ones.

the story mode enemies can have **** difficulty spikes forcing you to pull your own **** in the form of items that recover all your health because they couldn't be arsed to balance the story mode

nothing else really cause this game gets so much right

Expand

I think it's good that all the control types can play with each other in online as well.
Street Fighter always had an accessibility issue compared to other games. I couldn't just throw a controller at my mate and say have a game because they would have no idea how to do anything the new systems changes that.

WorldTour has been a blast. It's dumb fun. I found myself amused and confused by the antics on screen. I'm surprised at how much I enjoyed this mode. More of this in the future, please.
More avatar fight modes would be nice, and uses for that avatar would be cool.

I also see that there has been a lot of discussions regarding graphics and animations in the game, some like it, some don't. As for me the graphics in the game looks beautiful and feels modern. I'm still a little annoyed by the slightly "overblown" characters - but this is a street fighter, they have such a style.

The biggest flaw I see so far - is "modern" preset for controls. It is very convenient but has some missed of functionality in compared to classical one. This makes disbalance in fights between players who use different presets.

SF6 is really good presentation wise, to me it’s an important thing. Street Fighter 3 3rd strike & Tekken 3 had such a cool attitude you wanted to come back just because it felt cool. Well SF6 has a groove. A mixture the Yakuza games, Jet set radio & the old movie White men can’t jump. (Not the new one it sucks) so it’s fun to just be in the game.

Ryu is finally playable & Ken is cool again. This game is playable from the get go, not like SFV that had the most miserable launch in fighting game history. Good job Capcom.

One thing I don’t like but I guess if we want Capcom to keep making SF games with these budgets it’s a no brainer, but! Modern controls… You know when you play Tekken & someone that never played the game can with a bit of luck win matches but just mashing al the buttons? Well that’s modern controls for you. This was pre set. I went online & was wondering what the hell was going on. Had my ol Panthara SFV arcade stick & Ryu moved like **** It took some time to find how to change to classic as well. I didn’t work to change it in the main menu, I had to find a sub menu online to change it. That made me loose my first fight online & that kind of made me mad. To sell more copies & make it more mainstream I guess modern controls is a must. Do I think this will beat the best game in the series 3rd strike? No, not at the moment, 3rd strike is to me the pinnacle of Street Fighter that you need real skill to be good at. But this could be a close 2nd, I wish though Capcom could make SF3 Unso, Cloud Hands (they who know knows) Pick up SF6 it’s the most SF fun in years, glad to say the old official PS arcade sticks works with just plug n play. As for combos etc, we all know a fighting game evolves the more you play it, again the 3rd junkies find new stuff even today.

I mainly bought the game because I heard they were implementing more features for single player gamers such as myself, like revised control schemes, difficulty options, and even a cool World Tour Mode, where you build your own character and built them from the ground up to take on any challenge, it’s sort of like a Yakuza mode but with Street Fighter combat mechanics.

Having said that, what I ended up playing the most was the Arcade mode, which is fun and a bit weird, you can choose between 5 to 12 matches, there are multiple difficulty options which are fairly well balanced, although even the easier ones can present a challenge in the final matches. Only problem I had with this mode is that either by a bug or by design, there is an issue with variety, specially if you use the default 5 matches mode, it seems as if there are some characters that have very varied encounters in different stages with different characters, and then there are some like Jamie which have the same freaking alleyway stage for each of its 5 encounters; thankfully this gets a bit balanced if playing with the 12 matches option, but still, it can get annoying, hopefully they’ll add an actual randomizer of sorts in the future to change this, specially because after completing the character’s story during arcade mode, you get all sorts of options, like disabling bonus stages (the one’s were you destroy cars) or like disabling the introductory and ending cutscenes altogether. It’s good, I just think it can be expanded a bit with more options so it can be better.

The real disappointment for me however, was World Tour Mode… it’s clear that they put in the time and effort but sometimes, it just doesn’t work out, the story at times can be fun, but for the most part is quite insipid and boring, then there’s the gameplay which is -sadly-, like the story, hampered as well. This is because of the concept behind the mode of building your character which sounds good on paper and then… not so good when you’re actually playing, this is because your main character is severely limited in moves and abilities at the start, so imagine playing like any of the main characters but without any of the combos, moves, or even fighting systems that let you experiment with the combat system of this game; it gets dull to say the least, and frankly, I wasn’t going to grind it and play for hours and hours until it got fun. You cannot also change the difficulty of this mode, so if you want to play it either on an easier or more difficult setting, you’re sadly out of luck.

There’s also the issue with microtransactions and micropayments, people mention is just cosmetic, and how it doesn’t really have an effect in the experience but I disagree, the only way to obtain the classic costumes (or the second costumes) for most characters here, is either you buy them with in-game currency you pay real money for, or alternatively, you grind them by playing a ton of World Tour mode, accumulating in-game currency that you get just by playing through that mode only to then spend it on a bunch of random items that then you can give to each fighter to built their bond level with them… imagine doing that for god knows how many hours -and-, you have to do it for each of the 18 characters present in the game. I think even if you weren’t like me and enjoyed the freaking World Tour Mode, you’ll still probably find that a bit annoying, wouldn’t you?

The big thing here though that saves this game and elevates it to truly something special, is the drive system and the new mechanics Capcom has made sure to implement into this game fighting system, it’s a game that oozes style in its visuals, audio, the presentation is amazing; but the beauty here, is in the game’s mechanics, is a joy to play this game, which is the main reason as to why I disliked World Tour so much, because that mode takes away the drive system -for a while at least-, so you can’t parry, you can’t rush enemies, you can’t break through their defence, it just becomes bad.

But the combat is there in any other mode including Arcade, and thankfully, that mode is quite solid as far as I’m concerned, it promises to give what it gives and it’s fun to play, plus 18 character’s cheesy stories are quite fun to watch, they’re simple, and a lot of the times fairly ambiguous, but they’re good and I’m happy they added this mode here, it’s why I don’t regret my purchase.

Characters, a little too many original characters. They needed maybe 2 or 3 more original characters. Just too many Street fighter 2 characters returning. Their focus on trying to replace Ryu as main protagonist is also cringy at best and disrespectful at worst. Roster needed to be slightly larger at launch.

Modern controls well.....it's very subjective as an old school SF player it is almost sacrilege. On the other hand moving the series forward is healthy and the purist will always hate change. I don't mind the modern controls and like that it opens the game up for more to enjoy it. If you are an elitist who thinks execution is the purest expression of skill you will despise modern. If you feel smart decisions and unpredictability are the purest expression of skill you won't mind modern controls. Having said that target combos (modern controls auto combos) are the dumbest idea in all of street fighter history.

Balance is a work in progress with any fighting game, but some characters feel like they were not tuned correctly at all. Too many spam moves that are hard to punish (E. honda headbutt, Blanka roll, etc). Nothing is impossible to punish, but some characters make you work harder for it than you should have to.

Online net code is a dream and credit is due where credit is due.

Great game not perfect, but a step up from five. Even with me giving this game an 8, it might be the most overrated fighting game of all time. Definitely not a ten and too overhyped.

In the end we made various “nefarious” and bad acquisitions around the years and if we indulge ourselves with Starbucks every other two days, buying a character in game does not seem that bad, at the end is just if I am a big enough fan to get it.
    The new Gauge system
Makes the game feel more fast passed, rarely striking a Perfect round. Take a lot of time to master it, but one thing I feel that is done right in the SF6 is the onboarding system, for a fighting game gets the new and veteran players in the courses so that you know off the bat where to spend your time.
    Perfect parry or counter
Feels well balanced and adds to the immersion of the fight, offers a decent variety of possibilities without the intend of making you feel useless in any given fight.
World Tour – brave and quite fit for the new generation. Even as “an old timer” I found engaging and somewhat rewarding. Indeed, gets repetitive fast but the grind is not as bad as everyone claims to be, everyone grinds, but each prefers other type of grind, admit is not for you and move on or stay and dig for the LOLs.
After 10 hours in, did not feel the urge to explore the microtransactions, it is trend that will not leave the market to soon and is naïve to think that a business will not exploit this mechanic, lets face it we would to in the same position.
Still need to invest more time in the Online experience, from both fighting ground and Battle Hub, but gives you all the this from the base game, three modes off the bat, feels like a lot of content so can’t complain on the value against content.
DO something about the disconnect error every other 8 minutes I am disconnected to the an error, god forbid to be an intense Ranked match, you will end up with a lot of frustration.
Will get back to the review after, but until the Online issue is resolved it is a 7 in my books. Looking at the future updates, but all in all is worthy experience and the time invested feels wholesome.

World Tour feels tacked on. As if someone at Capcom thought "What if we took some elements of Yakuza and bolted them onto Street Fighter?" Except they forgot the charm and humor of Yakuza along the way. It's simply a silly mode that is excessively repetitive, frequently imbalanced, and wastes a lot of time with pointless dialog with (or texts from) Luke. But, be prepared to spend a lot of time here unless you want to spend real cash on cosmetic unlocks.

Battle Hub mode feels like the place Capcom wants players to spend most of their time. The problem is I never found Battle Hub all that enjoyable. Avatar battles were pretty lame and it's hard for me to care about retro emulated games that Capcom's been repackaging and reselling for years. Like World Tour, if you want to unlock stuff without spending real cash, you're going to be here a LOT.

Fighting Ground is your typical Street Fighter arcade experience with your usual franchise characters, their story mode, training modes, et cetera. It's... fine. Typical arcade Street Fighter fare. Can't really say much about it, either good or bad.I do wish we had gotten the full Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers roster plus the new characters -- but I suppose they gotta sell DLC somehow.

I give them credit for adding the new "Modern" gameplay mode, but what they fail to tell players during the tutorial is that the modern mode A) limits the total movesets of each character, B) does less damage than playing the standard/traditional way, and C) is allowable in online matches. These are pretty important things to tell people. I'm an old head who grew up with SF in the arcades so I defaulted to standard, but gave modern a try just to see how it played and the damage difference and total movelist difference is almost night-and-day. It's also infuriating to get into an online match only to run into someone who is using the braindead one-button-special moves and autocombos. In my opinion, modern mode should have been limited to single player or local play only.

Monetization is aggressive. The Capcom ID servers love to remind you that you're in the middle of a monthly season. DLC fighters and stages already planned out for the first year, multiple in game currencies, excessive grinds to unlock cosmetics pushing players to pay real money as a shortcut. It's scummy af.

Netcode is HORRID. Anyone who says otherwise is lying. Disconnects are rampant. Lag spikes are frequent. Add to this the noticeable input control lag and trying to play online is an exercise in frustration and simply not ready for true competitive play.

I really don't see how or why anyone could give this an 8, 9, or 10 with a straight face. It's simply not there. It's decent enough, but I can't recommend it to anyone except the most fervent of Street Fighter fans -- and even then my recommendation would come with caveats.

Yes the world Tour is a boring and childish single player section with a stupid story with boring repetitive fights.

The fighting mechanics are pretty naive, the drive impact has not sense at all because smart player will just use super fast combos confirming an anti drive impact.
Some characters have stupid unseeable fast drive cancels and or strong 50/50 mixups.
Throws in this game are too strong, some characters deal insane amount of damage easily and
other characters like Honda can just spam anti air covering the whole screen with + on block and safe head butts working even like anti air...
Watch the main tournaments online and guess which characters are most used?
Honda, DJ, Zangiev in order : spam specials . insane damage and stupid fast drive cancels and throws.
I don't even understand the new modern system, sincerely I have't tried it a lot, but on the paper some characters are too strong with it, overall defensive zone characters like luke or guile. Probably we will see dozens of balancing patches in the next years.
And now the the ranked online :
Currently i find a 3-4 bars opponent every 10 or 20 minutes on average and repeating communication error messages .
3 betas just to release this unbalanced mess.

I gave 6 just because i like the various coinops in th Hub but I don't know how reviewers gave this game 9.5, probably they were drunk or the got paid or probably both.

The controls are obscene in my honest opinion, I am not at all a good fighter game player anymore but removing the skillgap on purpose so people could hold a button down and do all their moves is the worst idea I have ever seen.

Online is online, if you can't emulate a stable connection, or have ranked protection for DDOS/adversary rage quits, etc. - if you cannot create a fair playing field, then you deserve a fail.

    - Pros:
    - Love the classic versus modern control options. Accessibility is always a good thing, and I know /tons/ of people personally who could never get into fighting games who are loving SF6.
    - The netcode is magic and works almost flawlessly most of the time.
    - Fights and mechanics feel really good and fluid.
    - I love the depth of tutorials, character guides, and combo trials. It really lets you learn all the in-depth mechanics of the game and try them out in real time.
    - Love most of the new characters. They feel varied and interesting in their personalities and playstyles.

    - Cons:
    - World Tour mode is boring as hell. It’s a never-ending deluge of stop and start. Go here, cutscene. Go there, Luke texts you fifteen times. Go here, cutscene. It’s really really boring to me, and I wish they had made it more interesting. I understand that it slowly teaches you the mechanics of the game, and it’s a great way to learn the mechanics as a beginner, but…I personally am not a beginner, and I just was not enjoying it at all.
    - You /cannot/ unlock alt costumes for characters unless you grind for a /long/ time in World Tour, and as previously mentioned, I could not stand this mode. The only other way to unlock the costumes are microtransactions…
    - Capcom couldn’t resist its usual greedy, corporate BS: the game locks all character costumes and color variants behind either grinding in game, or microtransactions. And you must grind A LOT to unlock any one single thing, which is the usual corpo strategy for pressuring you to skip the grind and just pay real money. It’s **** **** by design, and I hate it.
    - Mobile Game Economy: there are as far as I can tell FOUR different currencies in the game, all designed to make you grind and to introduce the confusopoly to the player. Again, it’s an awful corpo practice that makes the game confusing and the rewards even harder to attain. Awful awful awful corpo greed.
    - Drive Rush at time of writing eats your inputs, meaning you as the other player seeing someone Drive Rush run towards you cannot react. It’s a massive oversight by the designers and needs to be fixed ASAP.
    - There is a game-breaking exploit in the triple input assist button mode at time of writing. It basically makes ranked unplayable. Needs to be fixed ASAP.
    - Arcade Mode is a great addition as always. I love classic SF lore in the Arcade Mode, but the stories for each character feel absolutely barebones and don’t add much to the lore of the game or the universe. It could be so much more, but right now it’s very lackluster.

I want to rate this game higher, as I am loving playing with my friends again…but the manipulative single player and the corporate greed on display make it impossible.

World Tour seems fun and even though it is not the best storyline I've seen in my life it is somewhat enjoyable. What is ridiculous about it is that in some fights enemies cause 10x more damage than you, and you need to farm coins to buy potions, otherwise you can't progress in the story, which is really annoying. About online mode, even though I have optical fiber 200mb/s internet there were fights where I experienced input lag and it made me lose matches. I've been enjoying to play Cammy but I feel her attacks cause way less damage than the other characters, unless you abuse her speed and extract 100% of her abilities, which isn't possible for less experienced players. Manon in the other hand can drain a full life bar using 3 grab moves, which is totally unfair in my opinion. So in general game is still very unbalanced and I hope they fix it. The most annoying problem I've seen in online matches is that players are abusing the drive impact (HP + HK) mechanic to fix their mistakes in battle. One example is like, the player 1 inputs a down hard kick, the 2nd player predicts it and use drive impact. While player 1 is still in animation for their down kick they can perform another drive impact to fix their mistake and to counter player 2, which for me is totally wrong. Drive impact should not be allowed to execute during other movement animations, otherwise you can't punish someone if they do a wrong move. Another problem is that Capcom allowed people with "Modern" controls to play competitive/ranked mode. That is totally unfair in my opinion to have people executing easier commands, with way less effort than the others competing in ranked mode. I think Modern controls should have their own queue for ranked. These problems took away my desire to play the game, so I might come back once things are fixed. Expand

They even removed Dhalsim’s skull necklace allegedly to prevent offense thus they try to make it as inoffensive and politically correct as possible.

    - Drive System -

The core gameplay system is designed for normal/pro audience this time. The main in-game mechanic is now called “Drive System”. Drive Rush, Drive Parry, Drive Reversal and Drive Impact are the new gimmicks of the game. It’s not as simple as USF IV but better than SFV’s V-trigger system in every way. Drive System may not be revolutionary but still a good addition for the game. The parry system on the other hand, is too easy albeit it has some deeper feature depending on your timing. The Drive Rush is quite interesting though and well designed for the pro players.

    - Visuals -

Street Fighter 6 character models and animations are better than it’s predecessor but not as vivid as the previous installment. Pretty dull/dark in some areas. Character individual stages are back so now every character has their own stage and you can feel the nostalgia. Character super arts are not so satisfying to watch, new art direction –street art- palette is too flashy. There is no huge difference between this gen and the previous gen consoles in terms of quality/performance.

    - Roster –

Roster is a major flaw of the game and the newcomers are quite uninspired except JP. It’s just SFII’s base roster plus some weird debuts.

    - Modes -

The World Tour mode is a total waste of effort where you can spend your time by “punching fridge” or fulfill the other boring stuff. This mode has little to none content. Combo Trials is an essential mode where you can mastered on your character(s). Character creation is…well it’s hilariously awful.

    - Verdict -

If you’re a long time SF veteran you can still play the arcade or online modes but well, you can still stick with KOF XV, Guilty Gear Strive or Mortal Kombat 1 instead of this one.

Oh and the "Modern" controls make the game easier than SmashBros controlls, Modern provides autocombos, where as smashbros has no autocombos. You can use the classic controls though.

I just want to repeat that the high scores from places like IGN are absolutely not correct. It's like review sites just copy and pasted each other, afraid of sticking out and just giving an honest critical review. There is no way any person who has played other single player games thinks that world tour campaign deserves a high score, no way. However and unfortunately, it seems like this whole game, and especially art, graphics, gameplay, and especially the new characters seem to be marketing and focus group driven towards kids, teens, and female gamers with the lame and eyerollingly corny trap rap cr*py trends in today's music industry and aesthetics; none of it appealing to adults or any of the long time veterans and players of the game.

Even worse is the introduction of straight up button mashing and spamming called "modern controls" in order to make it more easier and appealing to the younger and casual gamer. If you're going to be playing online, be prepared for people being very cheap.

The World Tour mode is a good idea and concept, but terrible execution. It's a boring and repetitive slog of a grind fest where all you do is do fetch quests while you beat up literally anyone and everyone: cops, hot dog stand vendors, grannies, tourists, anyone for money and XP in order to buy a change of clothes and that's it. It's just aimless and pointless and offers no real challenge or real and serious rewards.

I wouldn't honestly wait until the complete version or more DLC. The look, feel, and execution of this game is a letdown, but your kids will love it. It's made for them more than anything.

The bad The same ridiculous character designs like in SF 4&5. Everyone looks juiced up to **** The women look hot, so if anime tiddies are up your alley then you're in luck. The cutscenes are total junk. I'd prefer them to not be there rather than have to keep skipping them. Music is totally forgettable but the music outside of the actual fights is outright terrible. It sounds dated and much of it sounds like bad gameshow jingles. Have Capcom never heard their competition. Come on guys, Killer Instinct destroys this on sound.

Gameplay. I went over the great mechanics but for me it is ruined by yet another slow game. SF2 had turbo options, SF3 was fast. Although the game is responsive, it still manages to feel slow and boring.

SF5 can barely hold my attention for 3, or 4 fights. SF6 does for maybe 5, or 6. The difference being that I like SF6 enough to play again another day and the fact I'll play it again is the reason for the 4 score. I play a lot of fighters and it just doesn't reach that level of enjoyability for me. Coming from KoF, Fatal Fury etc, this feels a bit sluggish.

The terrible. Now I haven't included this in my score but £25 for trickle fed DLC which should have just been part of the release is shocking. Awful business practice and truly put me off. Just give me the full damn game.

I feel like I am playing a £12-£15 game but it actually cost £45. I feel value for money is bad.

This is my newest fighter that I have owned nearly a week and I am sat here contemplating what I want to play today. Killer Instinct, KoF 15, any Blazblue, MK11, Injustice 2, Garou, 3rd Strike. SF6 isn't even on the cards and after less than a week, it should be my no1 choice.

Another downer isn't to do with the game itself but I feel Play Station controllers just feel horrible for fighters. If it had not been for me trading in other games for this and I was just buying it, then I would have preferred it on Steam with my old Xbox controller. In all it's not a bad game but I find so many of its competitors more fun to play. It is good having to guess your opponents next move, for defence, counters and throw resists and this is where the game does shine.

I think addition of a speed boost may improve my score. It's worth having in your collection but it wouldn't be in my top 10 fighters. Tbh I think I actually enjoyed Jump Force more than this and I generally only go for 2D fighters.

I think I would have preferred a modern equivalent of SF 2s, 3s and Alphas but this feels more like a modernised SF 4&5. Both of which are pretty dull and wank.

If the genre had fewer options then this might have got a 6/10 but competition outshines it.

As always, there are few characters available at the game's launch, which discourages players from engaging in co-op, as after 5 or 8 fights, you and your friend will have played with all the characters.

The idea of having an AI to assist new players is brilliant. My girlfriend enjoyed playing, and my uncle felt like he was 16 again when he played brilliantly in the arcades.

Yes, the combat is good, and the parry system is really cool.

I intend to play again in a few months or after a year or two. In its current state, it doesn't make sense to play due to the limited number of characters and skins. Even my uncle, who was looking forward to playing, got tired of it in less than 2 hours.

The monetization and in-game currencies are stupid and totally unnecessary. Never have I seen a fighting game requiring players to either grind more than ten hours or pay extra on top of a fully priced game to get default outfit colors. The "Wokeness" in this game are also very disgusting. Players are not allowed to choose genders in character creations. There is this sexual abomination constantly appears in the story mode just to make you throw out. The bgm is also trash level. I literally have to turn it off while playing this game.

I purchased this game based on the high critic scores, but I wish I would have paid more attention to user reviews. Here's some pros and cons:

Pros: 1. The graphics look very good on PS5 and have the same vibrant, fun and colourful look of previous SF games. 2. The open world is good for what it is, especially for a fighting game and Capcom needs to be commended for this. Cons:

    2. The open world is good for what it is, especially for a fighting game and Capcom needs to be commended for this.

    Cons:

    1. Learning curves are pretty much now pointless since it offers no advantages for mastering skills since newbies can button mash there way to a victory. Akin to a pub fighter beating up a kung fu master.

    2. The fluidity and smoothness of previous games is gone. The fighting is sluggish and often feels like you're playing underwater.

    3. The game has no edge and has none of the fun over-the-top scenes. Characters are extremely vanilla and bland.

    4. The host Eternity is cringe, corny and repugnant to look at. Obviously included to tick some checkbox as is the removal of male and female identities. For this reason I wouldn't recommend this game to people who still hold traditional (i.e. normal) values.

Save Deleting bug! Careful before buying the game! You may get a "Save Data Damaged" error and lose hours and hours of peogress! These ....rds at Capcom either are not aware, or dont care, or cant fix it.

Bought it for Cammy. Chun Li not bad too. The rest is trash.

The World Tour is boring, it's also tough to move around with a fighting stick because you have to adjust the camera manually. The arcade mode is very thin and this game only has 18 characters out of the box, and you have to pay money to get more. The core combat is there but this game is a very disappointing rip-off.

Street Fighter 6 might be great for some people. But i personally hate fighting genre in games. They are boring, repetitive, and monotone. There is no reason to play campaign mode in fighting games, except for the cut scene. And the most disturb me is why do some people love this garbage genre. They must have bad taste in video games

Street Fighter 6 honestly feels like the best game of the series in every facet possible. The long term will prove or disprove this though as these games tend to morph and change over their lifetime. But for this game to take that title, it’s done everything right from the outset to cement its legacy as the best of the best. This game is a recommendation for people interested in fighting games at any level, go check it out now.

The game scores points thanks to its more modern controls, a load of content led by a new adventure mode, and fans will have a hard time finding flaws. [Issue#328]

While World Tour is iffy, you can’t deny this fighter is a champion – though it’ll best suit those who can put hours into Battle Hub and Fighter’s Ground. [Issue#29, p.74]
