    Why did I play this?. No emotions, nothing left behind by Kena bridge of spirits. I understand that this is the first project of a studio that has not made games before. But damn it, why is it so soulless? I do not know, I regret the purchase and the hours spent in it.

    Pure beauty
    Kena Bridge of spirits is a 7 and a half hour long 3d platformer where you play as kena, youre tasked with helping purify souls and the land around you.. there are 3 main spirits that need your help, theyre tormented by something in their past.. so youll go to each area of the map, traversing through environmental puzzles, gathering items to be able to summon the spirit of that area and help purify them in a boss battle.. let me start off by saying a lot of critics are calling this the best ps2 game of the year.. if you actually play more than AAA titles youll know that Kena Bridge of Spirits is nothing like a PS2 game other than LOL you jump in a 3D world if anything this is closer to a modern Tomb Raider game meets the pathless. Youll explore these little open areas, findig these cute charcters called Rots, you collect these rots which helps you level up and unlock new skills and you use these rots to purify the land and get to one of the 3 items you need to summon th spirit.. to do this youll go into these areas that are corrupted, there will be enemies there for you take take down, after a while you can sick your rots onto a corrupted heart and you then explode it and the land clears up and you can move on.. rinse and repeat.. howver not a repetitive rinse and repeat.. what kena does so great on is its pacing.. combat is few and far between, and im so glad it is because of how dull and boring combat is here… youre kinda just mashing buttons.. the joy comes from exploring, finding these rots, finding hats for them, and solving the puzzles… these puzzles aren’t necessarily hard.. theyre all environmental and just come down to you spotting the solution, and as you progress the game youll gain new items such as a bow that can zip you through the air, and a bomb that can fling debris up into the air.. constantly changing the puzzle solving up… but again simple puzzles.. this is a game you sit back and enjoy.. no thinking no stress.. just doing.. and I loved that.. and onto the beauty of this game.. The charcters, the level design, the set pieces.. this game is gorgeous.. my only real negative aside from the awful combat, iss the pretty lackluster story.. don’t get me wrong I absolutely loved the first half of this game, I even cried becsue the emotions and storying telling was so good.. but after that, the storytelling falls flat and is kinda just there…
    That being said Kena is a really special game and is a must play.

    Esse game é incrível, o combate é divertido e desafiador, a exploração é bem feita e os cenários nem se fala, não consigo dar nota menor que 10 ainda mais por ser o primeiro jogo da empresa, deu um banho em muita empresa grande.

    Cute little game, with great heart. Beutiful world with sadly not much to explore but still quiet enjoyable to walk trough. Combat is fun and challenging but after a while it gets repetetive. My rating would be lower, but since it came from little studio and for smaller prize i give it 8/10.

I have no interest in exploring the world as it’s incredibly shallow and empty. You get currency and all you can do with that is buy hats? The combat on the other hand feels like garbage and you fee like you’re hitting air not enemies. The only thing going for thisThis is possibly one of the worst games I ever played.     La verdad este título me ha sorprendido mucho en el aspecto de ser un indie y tener algunos elementos que no tendría que envidiarle nada otros títulos que pueden tener más trabajadores o un presupuesto más elevado. En el apartado artístico me ha parecido algo increíble y uno de los mejores que he visto en este tipo de animacion tal cual así como partículas de algunos enemigos ya sea en elLa verdad este título me ha sorprendido mucho en el aspecto de ser un indie y tener algunos elementos que no tendría que envidiarle nada otros títulos que pueden tener más trabajadores o un presupuesto más elevado. En el apartado artístico me ha parecido algo increíble y uno de los mejores que he visto en este tipo de animacion tal cual así como partículas de algunos enemigos ya sea en el ambiente o en los enemigos me ha parecido un buen acierto. En el apartado de la historia me ha parecido muy buena la verdad como cada pedazo de las historias que nos plantean con ciertos puntos o situaciones diferentes entre ellos pero que al final nos damos cuenta que todas se entrelazan o tienen algo en común. En el apartado de lo musical me ha encantado, para mí es uno de los puntos más fuertes del título, combinando tonadas que suenan algo muy tradicional de Asia, pero que a la vez hay ciertas tonadas que en verdad me han traído recuerdos de como sonaban algunos soundtracks de antes y aveces me traían recuerdos de algunos juegos antiguos. En el apartado del combate me parecido algo normal, algo que en verdad no innova pero que le queda bien al juego, tomando elementos de combate de otros títulos y agregando unas características que te pueden recordado a un título Souls. La verdad es un juego muy bueno que me ha sorprendido mucho, para mi este es el indie del año y que posiblemente lo veremos compitiendo tal vez por mejor juego del año, pero que a la vez que sea buen juego no quiere decir que sea la octava maravilla, definitivamente una de las sorpresas de los videojuegos de este año.… Expand

    Gameplay muy bien logrado, graficos hermosos, dirección de arte y fotografía, estupendo! La música acompaña cada momento. Encima te enamoras de cada personaje y sus voces y expresiones. El mejor indie que he jugado en todo 2021. En PS5 lo jugue y con ese añadido del #DualSense un placer

    This game was a solid gem and pretty much everything about it was top tier which was surprising coming from a very small indie dev with their first shot at making a game. The gameplay, graphics and music is really good and if you didn't know it was an indie game, you would belive it was AAA right out of the gate. I highly recommend this game, especially on the ps5.

    this is my first blind purchased of the game. i don't know what to expect, OMG this game is so good! the storyline the combo and the design will make you hooked up. i've finished this game TWICE!!!! and i never played storyline game twice. This is damn good!

    Kena is visually an absolutely gorgeous game. The gameplay itself can be repetitive at times but it is still very enjoyable in general. The story is nothing spectacular but interesting at its core. Overall the price/performance-ratio is very good even for the regular price. Playing on regular difficulty or aiming for completionist will probably take between 10 to 30hrs depending on whetherKena is visually an absolutely gorgeous game.     After all I enjoyed my journey through Kena. I noticed some intense difficulty spikes at the major boss encounters that felt a bit awkward. Not that I like the comparison but I felt remembered of some souls-like titles. Which is strange because the regular mob encounteres are rather easy. I like the skill and character progression a lot. If you like collectibles this game will get you going for a while with different tiers of collectibles.

    The game is not flawless and straight story progression might be a bit short for some if you ruhs it. The intense backtracking for collectibles and the missing "teleport from everywhere" feature leads to my final 9/10 stars. There are very few fps dips in graphically intense areas or movies, especially the final boss encounters but in 95% of times the game runs flawless. I encountered no bugs, no bluescreen, no freezes on my 17hrs completionist playthrough (used guides and one exploit for master difficulty). The game borrows known mechanics from many different games and weaves it into a wholesome new experience.    … Expand

    In order to illustrate where my problem with Kena lies. This is a game that offers beautiful facsimiles of Zelda, Uncharted, The Pathless and Pikmin that glide by through its 10 to 15 hour running time. But playing Kena gets very boring, very fast.

The cutscenes are beautiful, but because of this they are very discordant with the rest of the game. Reminds of old games based on films or cartoons, in which they simply inserted excerpts from the original (this is just a personal quibble,Nice, but extremely boring game.     Cons: Fidelity mode is a joke. When attempting to turn the camera it takes the game 1 to 1.5 seconds to recognize that you moved the right joystick. That also goes for most other actions. Fidelity mode has major frame pacing issues in cutscenes. The game can feel unresponsive in this mode. The final 2 boss fights can be overly difficult the worst being the final one which seems to have used for padding time in the game. If you go straight through and not much extra you can beat this in about 8 hours. I wanted to love this game. But in the last 2 to 3 hours of the game. It just went from being a great fun experience to the feeling of a grind. On top of random getting hit in the back of enemies, stagger not working, grabs hitting you when your out of range, Dodge not working, and the list can go on. Its really hard to not recommend the game still. But you'll have to understand that some things are still funky with it.

    Would I say play it? yes

Сам мир небольшой, выполнен в виде хаба от которого идут линейные ответвления. Локации интересно изучать, ведь в них спрятано много секретов. Прокачка персонажа скудная и не слишком разнообразная.     Story is Meh at best. Visuals aren’t next Gen, had high expectations and was let down big time. Sony has a terrible rest of the year lineup so I was hoping Thai would keep me tied up til the next big game. But this game doesn’t have much replay value.

    Amazing game, it's in my top 10 of all time with things like from soft games. If you like from soft, get this. The combat is impeccable. Every encounter is it's own puzzle you try to figure out while 7 dudes that can 2 shot you attack. Its intense. Expert mode on first playthrough recommended. Music is awesome and the animation is great. And the wife likes it because it breaks theAmazing game, it's in my top 10 of all time with things like from soft games. If you like from soft, get this.     I was waiting that game for a long time. It lived up to my expectations. Awesome Pixar, Ghibli style art direction and gameplay that reminds me of PS2 era, in a positive way, I'm enjoying the game. Awesome work Ember Lab!

    This game is truly something special! From the graphics which are stunning. To the soundtrack which is so whimsical, endearing, and inviting. To the varied and fun combat, to the many ways of traversing these lush environments. Ignore the idiotic low critic and audience scores. Giving this game less than 8 should be a crime! Play this game, you won't be disappointed.

    Starts of abit repetitive but thats quickly washed away. Art is gorgeous and now after the patch cinematic is 60fps not anymore 30fps*. The game offers enjoyment , relaxation , cuteness , all in all totally worth its money.

    The game is absolutely fantastic. Although I will say unless you care about hats for your creatures, theres really no incentive to actually explore. I wish instead of pointless currency the devs would have put collectibles in the chest from the villagers. It could help expand on the lore. Regardless fantastic debut from Ember Lab. Cant wait to see what else they come up with.

    I am so happy that there is a game like this available on PS5 right now. It absolutely gorgeous to look at, and it is a solid platformer. Despite some criticism that it is reusing some troupes from more popular games, sometimes that is what we want. It is really challenging, engaging, and a joy to play. The fact that this is from an indie studio is amazing! I really hope we get to see aI am so happy that there is a game like this available on PS5 right now.     The story is sad yet entertaining, set in what could be a fantasy south east Asia. No woke elements pushed through. Characters are original and well developed. Mechanics are interesting.

    By my side I cant stand small silly children stuff like Barney the dinosaur or Dora the explorer.
    After playing a while and putting my best to enjoy it it only hit me a nerve.
    Besides in the technical department this game is abyssal inferior to other games. Your character only stand still like a doll just closing her eyes every now and then. The menu of abilities is a joke. So small that even the poor forgiven Biomutant was deeper in that area. In fact Biomutant the very mediocre indy released this year is way better than this. I heard that the game is profeminism like Frozen. Certainly I didnt torture myself bothering that much to notice but I cant rember a game that I hate it so much after a while. Dont belive reviews.     Amazing graphics is one thing, but Bridge of Spirits is so much more thanks to engaging level design and surprisingly deep combat. It's a game that overdelivers on almost all fronts, making for a truly superb and memorable adventure.

    The game is simply a joy to play, from its breathtaking landscapes, to the missions and side quests that just get your brain’s happy juices flowing.

    I was anticipating this game from the moment it was announced, and it was well worth the price take. Highly recommend to anyone who likes metroidvanias, or just large exploration based games in general.

    A phenomenal first game by Amber Labs. Amazing visuals and fantastic directorial vision define a truly immersive experience. Gameplay is absolutely solid with satisfying combat and fun world exploration. Small negatives: The platforming can feel a little stuff and the difficulty modes aren’t very well balanced.

    My god what a great game. And Ember Lab’s first game as well!!! Sony get that fat check and acquire and grow them ASAP. Can’t wait for their next Project. I’m absolutely having a BLAST in Kena so far. Really sensational.

    A company with 15 creative and competent collaborators delivered a playable animated movie, where you can connect with the characters and feel an ocean of emotions.
    The game is by no means a cake walk, it is challenging enough, specially during boss fights.
    Being the first game they create, sets big expectations for the future!
    A solid 8/10 for me.

    Kena is like 3D Ori or Zelda in next-gen visuals. I was afraid the game would be too small, but I've been playing for 15 hours, and I still haven't collected everything. At this price? I have nothing to complain about. Amazing!

    Game is one of the best games on PS5. One of my favorites of the year. Graphics are some of the best, gameplay is awesome and reminds me of Zelda. Soundtrack is amazing too.

    Games presentation is by far it's greatest feature as the environment and cutscenes are phenomenal. The optimisation is great as long as you have bought a gaming computer within the last 2 years. I had no issues with the combat and the puzzles really complimented the mechanics nicely. I guess the only reason this is not a perfect score is because it's a semi-short game.     Ember Lab didn’t try to reinvent the wheel. Instead the developers opted for tried and true mechanics that entertained us time and again in many action adventure games, and mixed them in an almost perfect way. The beginning might be a little slow, but when Kena: Bridge of Spirits gains momentum, it becomes truly great. It’s hard for me to point out any significant flaws apart from overall lack of originality. What a debut! [12/2021, p.74]

    Kena: Bridge of Spirits should take most gamers around 10 to 12 hours to complete, depending on the amount of exploring and the level of difficulty. While the blockbusters games of 2021 continue to deliver the same ho-hum experience of 2021, Kena is a much needed ray of sunshine to the current choices of titles available and more importantly, looks fantastic on the PlayStation 5.
