    Metacritic has always been a haven for trash because of a lack of moderation, but now they not only do nothing about review-bombing, they actively delete those who fight back. Pathetic. Another product bombed by a dozen snowflake incels. I have never seen such an easily triggered group of subhumans as these losers. It came down to one line. Also, it was slowly made very clear how Aloy identified (most likely bi but not actively looking for romance), if it’s a shock, you’re just a moron. You can even turn down the new girl and they won’t kiss, also there was a romantic line option with the Sun King at the very beginning of the game.

    So then, these triggered idiots are crying about a nonissue since Aloy is meant to be open and fluid, not a locked in lesbian.

    The best part is when they have no idea what the product even is since it’s just penniless trolls usually. The bit about the Japanese was my fav part (the devs are English), like every videogame is made in japan LMAO.

    As for the game itself, it’s probably an 8, losing points for not having a ton of content especially with the main story. Also, to those whining about it not being on PS4 - it’s been THREE YEARS. How much longer do we have to cater to an old gen? Did SNES games play on NES?    … Expand

    The DLC so awesome really I was enjoy in every second when was play it, price fair enough and Iam super exciting for next Journey for Aloy but I've feedback about end of story was frustration cause there aren't any note told us Aloy is a lesbian .. thank you gorilla Studio

    Horizon Forbidden West is still the best looking game until today in my opinion. And this DLC looks even better than the main game. I wish there were more new machines, but the new ones we did get, are really nice additions.

    If you beat the main game, you can't miss this DLC!

    This is my first review here. And I have to say this : METACRITIC USER SCORES IS NOT SOMETHING TO RELY ON, ANYMORE!!!

    First RE4 Remake and now this. Great games, with review bombs for stupid reasons. I wish Playstation and XBOX had a rating app, similar to Steam, where someone could review a game that HAD ACTUALLY PLAYED!

    HFW: Burning Shores is a worthy addition to a brilliant franchise. I always wondered if Aloy was lesbian, but it makes no difference to me whatever her sexuality. Great DLC, more please Guerilla Games!

    Burning Shores is a great addition to the main game and a logical and fulfilling continuation. The new characters are diverse and unique, the story is interesting, and the ending is very beautiful and heartwarming.
    This DLC achieves everything a DLC should achieve and also takes full advantage of the technological advances that the PS5 console provides.

    Fantastic expansion, for an amazing base game. The characters added (and recurring) feel like a step up from previous instalments. Definitely worth while. Keep in mind that you need to have finished the main story of Forbidden West before you can start this dlc.

This DLC will run you about 8 hours (around the same length as Frozen Wilds) and you will find there are a good number of new things from new weapons, to new resources, new outfits and new machines.     You're probably wondering why this DLC has generally unfavorable reviews. It's because there's an optional kiss scene between Aloy and another girl. Wow, crazy, right? I am 1000 percent sure that most people leaving negative reviews can't relate to Aloy anymore because she kissed a girl. (keep in mind this was an optional quest ) .

We were very unfortunate that covid struck the development of HFW hard, and that Guerrilla Games have such ambiguous plans (VR game, MMO, Horizon 3, spin-offs). The DLC is less clunky, and PS5-only, which is a blessing because it raises some aspects to even greater heights! The Waterwing is SO COOL!!!! You can call itAlmost finished the DLC. Whow!     An excellent continuation of what is already an amazing game. It's a shame the user scores are being brigaded by incels. Bottom line is, if you enjoyed Horizon: FW you'll enjoy this DLC.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. this dlc added so much to Aloy storyline cs for the first time, after she accepted that she's not alone, she has someone to fight by her side. I know that happened before in gemini etc but now it's different and turns out that she's her love interest making obvious that Aloy is queer, something that all of us knew but now everyone seems skocked idk why. I'm hoping to see Seyka in Horizon 3. Besides all of that the graphics are even better (something that I thought impossible after Horizon Forbidden West) so you can just walk around the map taking pictures with Aloy and enjoy the view… Expand

    Great addition to the main game. Only losers who want every single video game catered to their own experiences are rating it negatively. Snowflakes who can't handle the fact that other people besides them exist. It's great to see Aloy grow even more from the main game.

It's been my favourite game ever since I played zero dawn so when this got announced I was so excited and nothing disappointed. I'm so happy that Aloy finally had a romantic interest and queer representation is always a good thing! Burning shores will keep you busy as it has lots of side content, new and old. I especially loved the new skills and watering mount. Definitely recommend this. So worth the money!! … Expand

The developers took advantage of the ps5 hardware target, and not being held back by the ps4 as limiting factor they went to town on giving us a thrill ride we haven't seen in a horizon game as of yet (which i am not going to spoil).     While the story is is not all that great (just my subjective view, i am not a narration expert), it still plays out nicely. The real the focus of the expansion is giving us a more exploratory experience. And on that regard its a full package. Exploration has gone vom horizontal to vertical and has never felt that interesting and rewarding in the horizon world before. From the heavens to the dept of the ocean. Even Aloy got some verticality to her character. Which imho, is a nice change of pace, and something is personally would love to see more.     This DLC is amazing! Not necessarily story-wise (both story and characters a bit flat), but still great, and the gameplay, graphics, world and monsters are as amazing as ever. "Burning Shores" is a masterpiece as far as DLCs go.

    Es una maravilla de expansión y técnicamente perfecto. Mejora un poco más el juego base y no hay un mundo abierto como este. Da igual por donde juegues, el cielo, la tierra o el agua, todo esta vivo y gráficamente es perfecto. Titulo 100 % recomendado si eres poseedor de una PlayStation 5. Corre a por él sin dudarlo.

    Just rated forbidden west at a 9, but im giving burning shores a 10. What a great dlc! The experience was amplified and the graphics on ps5 were probably the best you'll see for a very very long time. The dynamic between Aloy and Seyka was good and I can't wait for future games!

    I played the base game on ps5 and it blew me away. The story was not quite as good as the original but still very good. Burning shores is even better than the base game in many ways. I love it. I am looking forward to the next installment.

I do wish it had been longer, with more side quests, more opportunities to really use the new skills. I would have paid more for that experience. The romance ending was very well-done, as it stays true to Aloy as a character no matter what the player chooses.     Je ne met pas 10, parce que j'ai trouv le DLC légérement court.
    Mais sinon tous le reste est nikel, ça fait du bien de voir une Aloy un peu plus emotive. Et graphiquement c'est juste magnifique.

    Ajout de l'attaque grappin fort utile également. GG aux équipes de Guerrila Games, et vivement la suite

Molto contenta della scelta della relazione con Seyka, a differenza degli Horizon precedenti si capisce come Aloy veramente ci tenga a lei. Più rappresentazione LGBT+ nei giochi per favore. Mi dispiace che per colpa dell'ignoranza questo dlc stia avendo tutte queste recensioni negative. Invito prima tutti a giocarci piuttoso che lasciare tutto questo odio in questi post. Penso che non bisogna essere così pesanti per un gioco.

    Awesome graphics, love the game since day one, love this dlc so far, spend a lot of time in exploration, so I didn't finished but it's awesome and I give this a ten also to balancing the review bombing from homophobics

When I see the thought put into the translucence, depth visibility, reflectivity, and motion of the water in this game, I become worried they may be right about our existence being a simulation. New story, environments, weapons, armor, robots, and skills are here and they open up some interesting play styles/strategies. I love the story presented here, as well as the over-arching story of the series. When I see the reaction of some of the gaming community to this story, I become ashamed to call myself a gamer. Aloy is such an awesome hero. Dry as hell delivery by Ashly Burch, like Clint Eastwood with heart. Aloy's general stoicism makes the subtle moments of humor and emotion hit hard. These Horizon games are absolute classics. Some day they will be more fully appreciated. This game, and The Last of Us Part II, will be held up as examples of video games as influential works of art, and advancements of the media. All of that and, most importantly, this game is FUN!… Expand

    The pro’s of the DLC are not without their cons. There are some graphic glitches like minor holes in the map from a distance and certain machines glitching from time to time, but nothing an inevitable patch can’t fix in the coming weeks. Some areas of the map don’t have much to offer and the rewards for some sidequests are just facepaints and items of no great value.

    I really don`t know what everyone is complaining about. The gameplay is still great and the world just looks beautifull. And then there is this one thing about Aloy and her lovestory. Does it feel rushed? In some ways yes, but why shouldn`t she be lesbian. Elisabeth was lesbian, so there was one hint in the main game for this. The second thing about here being "asexual" in the other games.I really don`t know what everyone is complaining about. The gameplay is still great and the world just looks beautifull.     If you liked the main game you will like this, some interesting areas to explore and new weapons to play around with. It's not overly long if you don't do side quests or collectables. As for the kiss.. get over it don't care, it's a fictional character and you don't even have to do it if you choose not to.

    **P.S. people who compliment everything about games but don't like a single little plot choice and automatically rate games a 0 for it seriously need to learn to be less subjective and more objective.. like wtf there are a whole lot more numbers on the rating scale than 0 and 10**

    Anyways.. The "outrage" here is over a **Completely Optional** moment in the game where the MC has a **Choice** regarding a particular relationship moving in a new direction. **Choice =/= Force**. There is no "Woke" agenda.. in this game's world the people simply didn't grow up in societies with any indoctrination against same-sex coupling like those from religions from our current world which no longer exist. **So it's understandable** that people can be who they are and not be concerned with gender in their relationships.. and all without any morons getting upset over it, wow.

    These people need to shut up, stop bandwagoning and actually play the damn game to form their own opinions. So what if the MC is possibly queer, there is no telling if there will be other relationship choices in future installments to these series that. Lol... if they're really so upset over this they better go review bomb popular games/series like: Mass Effect, Fallout, Dragon Age, Assassins Creed, and Cyberpunk to name a few.

    While, there were some technical bugs they did nothing to detract from an overall amazing story and another great chapter for Aloy. It's more horizon which is exactly what you want. Amazing battles, great characters and just flat out the best graphics in today's gaming.

    New machines, weapons, outfits and much more. Even on of the biggest fights I’ve seen in a video game ever. The graphics where pushed a ton. It is absolutely worth ever penny and the story is still great.

    If a kiss cause you to rate a game you didn't even played, because like any form love and affection beyond straight love is a an agenda, I genuinely feel sorry for you. Burning Shores is an amazing dlc, with breathtaking visuals and fight sequences. It's a must for any Horizon fan and happy people that don't get triggerd by a kiss. 10/10.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Burning Shores is absolutely gorgeous. I feel it’s pushed further than even what Forbidden West was. The writing is incredible.

    The addition of a constant ally with fun banter between her and Aloy is a wonderful touch. Their voice actors and the cinematic team did absolutely amazing work on showing subtle emotions of the tense atmosphere between them at certain points as well as Aloy’s internal emotional struggle.

    A non-hetero and non-white relationship option is very progressive and thank you Guerrilla for that. It takes guts to do that in the current world we live in.

    The final boss was absolutely epic and a wonderful way to end the DLC’s story with. It’s been a long time since I wanted to progress through a main story due to wanting to know what comes next. Usually I just get distracted with side quests.

So he and I played it on the PC. Then the second part came out and my friend missed it; but then he bought a PS5 and the first thing he downloaded was all the games (parts of the game) about the adventures ofWell, the first time I heard about this game...     Wer sich an Aloys Sexualität stört und deshalb schlecht bewertet ist sich seiner eigenen Orientierung vermutlich selbst nicht ganz sicher.

    Burning Shores takes what Forbidden West did and only expands it. With new weapons, BEAUTIFUL new enviorments worth exploring and a good enough story to keep it going. This gives Horizon players a bit more of a glimpse into the future of what the series will become and further enhances the overall plot for Horizon. This expansion is well worth $20 and worth playing if you're a fan of the series.

    If I get new content, I am happy! Just finished HFW in ultra hard before I went to LA – this game and franchise is amazing! I like the new character Sayka, and the storyline itself. But the first time in Horizon I cannot give 10, just because the DLC is too small :/ not much side quests and the main quest is too short….really annoying.     I usually don't like dlcs but this is one of the best DLC that I had ever played, visually is probably one of the best games this gen will get, the new mechanics are fun to play and the burning shores are a good place to explore. For $20 it really is worth it.

    Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores is visually the best game I have ever played, and in terms of gameplay, it is enjoyable for me, although it may not be for everyone. But the story is the biggest weakness of the game, and I don’t think the story will be great in Someone’s opinion and it may just be the difference between those who say it’s mid and those who say it’s bad. But in different ways, this game completely shows off the power of the 9th generation console.

    Burning Shores is definitely worth a visit. The story builds nicely, the side quests have nice depth, and Aloy and Seyka may end up forming something more than just a friendship. The question is whether a little more content could have been added. After all, it's all stuff we've seen before. [Issue#327]
