    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is a fantastic game! The climbing and little puzzles are excellent and you really feel like you're climbing mountains and making progress though a real world compared to flat gaming. The physics and interactive activities such as painting, instrument playing and arrow crafting are a delight and the combat is fast and furious. I think they've done a bloody good job in producing one of the best looking VR games in history. This game is a 9/10 but I have to give it 10 due to all the idiots giving fake reviews.… Expand

    First experience on the PSVR2 and what a game to start with! Really showed off the capabilities of the headset. Great story which felt really authentic and fun gameplay! GOOD: Graphics Combat Depth Intense BAD: Too much climbing

    With Horizon VR a dream comes true. The chance to step into this incredible world in VR is almost too good to be true. But holy, it is true! Guerilla Games did make such an incredible job on Forbidden West already, they are my most loved game developers in the world. I'm so thankful they made possible something special like this.

    Wow! I didn't expect it to be this good! It looks beautiful. It is much more immersive than non-vr. Climbing is so much fun. Using the bow without aim assist is a challenge to behold. There is no game on vr to this level. This should be your first game. Go buy it now and enjoy!

    Me ha resultado una forma fantástica de introducirte en el mundo de las VR a la par que ves parte del universo de Horizon. Es un juego de escalada con componentes de creación y pequeños boses impactantes en VR desdeluego.

    It gets 10 for the experience alone. It's true that's its mostly climbing, but you'll find visuals and atmosphere immersive and breathtaking at times. It's sad to see many score this game a 0; their comments on top are just pathetic, more so because its clear so much excellent work has gone into making this game

    Ich hab erst zwei Stunden gespielt, bin aber so beeindruckt von dem was ich erlebt hab, dass ich gerne jetzt schon ein Fazit ziehen will. Ich bin verblüfft, wie gut dieses Spiel aussieht und wie krass viel Laune das bogen schießen macht. Dass klettern, die Aussicht, die Atmosphäre… einfach nur wow! Muss man echt mal erlebt haben!

    This is the most beautiful game in the early days of PSVR2, and none other even comes close. There are several different tools you can use for climbing which keeps it from getting too stale, and the plot is decent.

New technologies like eye tracking or haptic feedback also on the head, are very immersive, and embrace the player bringing in the future world created from firesprite with guerrilla. When you you are talking about vr games I think the market,I bought Vr2 call of the mountain bundle because I'm a huge Horizon fan for first thing, but I wanted to see the potential of the new Sony Vr. When you you are talking about vr games I think the market, generally, has a prejudice, so if you're considering even a 10/10 game, you'll find always someone has to say something to, lowering the real feed from the users (to whom like complaining for everything).This game represents the potential of this vr, and the springboard for future developments. The combats are very brilliant, like almost if you're really fighting, climbing is a very real way to face the mountain, allowing you to observe the panorama..Many interactions, many objects, many things purposely placed to. I liked very much story, and even the secondary objectives. Graphic is awesome like the environment built. I suggest this for whom would want to try the vr mechanics approaching this type of experience.

    Game is incredible and the one to beat at the moment for VR. Not since Half Life Alyx have I been this wowed in VR. Was going to give it a 9 but doing 10 to counter all of the people hating giving very low scores and clearly have not ever played the game.

    Yes, there is a lot of climbing, but I enjoyed that part of the game and thought it was worth it for the breathtaking views you get. The combat is exhilarating but I did think there was a lack of weapon variety, especially compared to all the climbing tools you get.

    This game lives up to the hype. The world concept and art are some of the best I've seen in a decade, and the performance optimization is nothing short of miraculous for a startup company founded to make this game. The gameplay is also a well rounded FPS action game that is reliably fun.

    This is my first VR game so I have no VR games to compare this to. However, I was immediately shocked and delighted by the quality of this experience. I felt like I was on an amusement park ride only with no line. Everything looked and felt AAA. This is the high bar that other games need to meet.

    The gameplay itself is fun and simple. You climb. You shoot arrows. You craft items by    This is my first VR game so I have no VR games to compare this to. However, I was immediately shocked and delighted by the quality of this experience. I felt like I was on an amusement park ride only with no line. Everything looked and felt AAA. This is the high bar that other games need to meet.

    The gameplay itself is fun and simple. You climb. You shoot arrows. You craft items by literally putting them together. The enemies are no cake walk. My one gripe is that in the middle of battle, I can get stuck in the crafting screen. Maybe have different back locations to pull different ammo from. Full disclosure: I am prone to motion sickness and I paced myself. I played the 8 hour story in 1 hour increments. The game has clever ways of dealing with motion sickness. Climbing feels like you are pushing the terrain away from you. Walking requires arm swinging and the movement helps. (I tried to pretend walk but kept getting off center.) On rails actions will narrow your vision so you feel like you are looking at a big screen and not messing with your brain. Dodging and turning are “snap” motions like teleporting. After a month of playing with VR, I feel a lot better about VR and this game.

    No doubt that VR has its drawbacks. My living room has the bare minimum 6x7 space for VR. I would love a VR room like Troy and Abed’s Dreamatorium. The PSVR2 works with glasses but I recommend you buy lens inserts for it. I wore my smaller spare glasses with a glasses strap to keep them from falling down. I had to crank the PSVR2 to my forehead to keep the lenses aligned. A beautiful game like Horizon gets ugly without proper lens positioning. The lenses need constant cleaning. I keep a lens cloth nearby. VR is also expensive. Of all my PlayStation friends, I am the only one playing PSVR2 games. Horizon makes the most of the tech. If you are going to spend money on VR, this game is a must buy.    … Expand

    As a feat of technical artistry, it’s impressive, sleek, and often breathtaking. But as you’re dangling off a cliff edge, taking a breather from endless, repetitive mountain climbing, you’ll find yourself wondering whether novelty is really enough to justify such a loosely-tied journey. While the experience is impressive in fits and starts, Horizon Call of the Mountain ultimately feels like a puzzle with several pieces missing.
