    Why anyone would let a mobile game developer - take charge here, is beyond me. The game is so beautiful, but works like Russian Tanks.

    Thank the Lord, I got out before the money, was charged.
    Might try and go back to Multi Theft Auto.

    This game only gets a 4 because under all the bugs and awful new graphics the original games are still good. The "definitive edition" is bad and you shouldn't play it, play the original games instead and you'll have a better time.

    After playing these games since November and now we are in patch 1.5, I still say this game is not even worth your time to play it or buy it yet, just don't touch this game yet.

    Still has crappy NPCs
    Fog Effect in San Andreas still terrible
    and game crashes when it wants to

    Besides all the visual and performance problems everybody always talks about, the games themselves are absolute garbage, most missions are just straight up not fun and I cannot fathom how these games were considered classics.

    Even in performance mode it still often drops below 30 fps. Many songs in the original version were deleted. Due to the increased number of characters and vehicles, GTAIII and VC feels harder than the original version, they only added checkpoints at the beginning of the mission. Seriously? I don't think it's worth 60 dollars, it's only worth up to $30.

    I really love all the original GTA games.

    But with the GTA definitive trilogy, it's an absurd situation when the graphics in the original are better than in the remaster. absolutely unacceptable detailing of characters, cars, objects. Compared to previous games, this is a blatant failure. I have made a refund of this trilogy.

    I hope GTA 6 will be as good as GTA V or GTA IV.

    I've got the 3 platiniums. And there is one thing I can say for sure. Optimisation is bad, really bad. The games are freezing every 30 seconds. We are talking about Rockstar, it's a big disappointed for me coming from them. I loved it, but I don't recommended the games until they fix the framerate.

Modern warfare remastered is a remaster. This is not even close to a remaster it’s actually a downgrade at all fronts with the addition being new glitches. Not to mention that a billion dollarI have seen games on Dreams that look better than this so called “definitive” edition.     i have a theory why they didnt post this game on steam, the theory is that then gamers will see how big of a dissapoinment this game is. u know steam do have a thumb up or down review system/ability and then players will give this game so many thumbs down that people before buying the game will see that this game is bad. then if someone see that a game is bad ofcourse less people will buy it when they see a bad that is mostly negative or overwhelingly bad reviews on steam.

    and also that they said unexpected bugs and fails with the game, xD that is like i can clearly see that i painted the wall pink when the person who payed me to pain wanted grey. yea i didnt see that. it was verry unexpected that i did use pink instead of grey. ofcourse i painted the room. i have worked and seen it everyihing in and out. but yea this was verry unexpected. xD

    OMG do I regret buying this! No where near the value of $60 bucks! This should've been a $20 release. Rockstargames are the last mofos I'd ever think would disappoint me on a game release. Grove Street Games really put a huge dent in your reputation! Should NOT be called "Definitive" edition because its not! The true definitive edition is the original PS2 version!!

    Vice City: - no "Mission complete" music - menu sounds from GTA SA, and poorly implemented, like no sound on hover San Andreas: - only sprint ride on bicycle (I suppose it comes from mobile versions). Original game had a regular ride - Buff/Fat CJ run animations same as skinny. Original game    It's sad, that this remasters did not carry many of the original's features. For example:

    The fact that the game had no gameplay footage until the day before release says it all. These games could have been so much more but they simply were not. The graphics look slightly better than the originals, but that's about it. No effort to remaster or remake the game with the gta 5 engine (which would have been awesome!)     The original style and aesthetics are completely lost. Game design and visual design are destroyed. You can compare frame-by-frame, and the original will be better, except for some technical points like textures resolution, drawing range, 60 FPS, etc.

    Rockstar Games has lost my confidence with Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Defective Edition. The overly cartoonish designs, most made by A.I., is an eyesore. The Unreal Engine conversion choice appears to be lazy. Frame drops, brand new bugs. This is not a game remaster worth playing let alone buying. Rockstar and T2 need to set some time to reevaluate what it is they're trying to achieve.

    Iconic songs cut, weird graphical glitches, sections of the map you can literally fall through, cut effects like fog and haze, uncanny valley looking characters, inconsistent lighting, lazy menus, strange highlight effect when shooting people, controls that somehow are worse than the original. Just play the originals

    I bought this expecting crap, but updated to work on newer hardware, like using a controller without asking NASA for support. I was disappointed.

    I switch between m+k and controller, which the game actually handles quite fluently, but didn't expect they manage to destroy even that in some cases. For example, controlling the jetpack in San Andreas, is just broken. AI in general is broken, but not sure if this is remnant from the past code, so wont dig too much into that, but I do love it when enemies freezes when you shoot them, or the fact that they use wallhacks at times. Also, who doesnt love enemies that are invincible just because they are behind invisible walls, unless you hit a certain distance from them for their AI to target you?

    Then the physics is a bit changed. For example, in San Andreas, every road that is marked on the map, if you are in a car, well its asphalt. Stay in the marked lane, no traction problem.... Want to fly a jetpack, and play on PC? Better not use m+k, cause the controls don't work (seriously, they dont work, you need a controller for the jetpack, you cant land with m+k). Want misaligned textures? Get a tattoo in San Andreas and watch any cut scene where its visible.

    On the positive, Vice City is fairly playable, except one mission you just cant beat (except on PC, where you can turn to the modders that they so deeply hate over at Rockstar). San Andreas is a hot mess. Haven't touched GTA 3, as that game doesn't interest me too much to revisit in this turdfest (got it at release, but I remember the mechanics and I think without a proper remake, they would be too dated to even be worth revisiting). I got the game, expecting a hot mess, and even owning all the classic titles on Steam. All I wanted to do was to play the games I remember and be able to properly use the controller when I want to and Mouse + Keyboard when I want to, and funnily enough it kind of delivered on that and even then I still ended up being disappointed somehow. This isn't a remake, it is far from a "definitive" version, and even if you are aware of all the issues, just don't get this. I mean, Rockstar can try to polish this turd, but it will still smell.    … Expand

    Disappointing. I can't believe I spent a full price for this low quality port of legendary games. I am committed to no longer buy Rockstar games at launch until I see positive reviews from both trusted reviewers and you the gamers/customers.

    My game (San Andreas) hard crashes my console every time I begin a mission that is early on in the story. I can therefore not progress any further in the story because every time I begin this mission I get an error message and a hard crash.     I've tried to play this on release and discovered that it was and still is a buggy mess even after some patches. For instance, I wasn't even able to save the game. Isn't that feature number one you need to be able to complete the game?

    Some more bugs I've discovered (still actual after the patches):
    - The menu sometimes just does not work - items are just not selectable, nothing happens when you click on a menu item.
    - The protagonist sometimes just starts to fall infinitely while being on a surface and you lose controls and have to reload your game.
    - The protagonist runs faster if you switch weapons and it is faster than sprinting.

    And all of these I've discovered in less than an hour of gameplay. These games were not playtested. I could've forgiven even these bugs if it was surpassing the original games.
    Original games don't make everything look like it is made out of plastic.
    Original games don't make you think that there wasn't even a person who makes sure the in-game models are made in the same style.
    Original games don't have problems with overlapping effects.
    The atmosphere of GTA 3 is completely lost - everything is supposed to be dark and gloomy and now every surface shines and reflects light even if it is not supposed to - like grass or character faces.

    So, just to recap. The gameplay is broken and the new graphics suck.
    Original games were exciting to play and the definitive (?) edition makes me feel disappointed since it does only one job good. It successfully parasites on the original title.

    So my score is equal to the number of people I can recommend this game to. Zero.    … Expand

Also one of the things why this remaster is bad, is the price, the price is dedicated for a full AAA game, but it's actually a remaster that could've been even done by a mods maker.     Unplayable. The contrast between the resources R* has, and the quality of the this experience, is nauseating. I was a diehard fan until about an hour into playing this game. I feel so sorry for anyone who got their first taste of the trilogy from this edition. Sickening.

    i hate this game. there are a lot of bugs, more than in cyberpunk. i think war drum studios or grove st games didn't try on their remaster. some of these bugs just crash your game!!! this project - spit to gta trilogy fans

    The game is full of bugs, bad optimized and a lot of original content was removed. I'm really disappointed with this remaster. in my opinion, Rockstar did wrong hiring a mobile games studio to work on such a gem. I think if they had put their studio to do the remaster, it would've been better.

    Vender estos juegos poco acabados es motivo de demanda; Colocarle brillo a los elementos del vídeo no lo hace definitivo, Aún así gracias al Game Pass jugué GTA San Andreas pero el mismo dia de descarga lo desinstalé, Y es que no hayan tocado las mecánicas jugando con esas mismas primitivas sumandole el tema de que empezó a llover y literal no se veía nada me decepcionó mucho.

    I purchased this game from the day it was released and it was a bloody mess then and not much has happened to improve it even with the recent patches.

    The rain in San Andreas at least is not fixed as they have claimed to fix it at least the plane gravity rain issue and it not showing in front of object like lakes or rocks.

    People still look like hideous monsters on the streets of every game and the AI is more stupid than I think the original games are.

    I grew up living and breathing the GTA series from GTA 1 on the gameboy to GTA V on the PS4 and this is the last game I will be giving money to as they are refusing refunds.

    CDPR, Square Enix, RockStar and EA Dice used to be great companies but they have all fallen at the wayside and are not the companies that now care about how they release games and what quality they are when they do so.

    Shame on you Rockstar……..

    (For all the idiots defending this game it’s okay to be hurt and it’s okay to be critical especially if you spend £59 pounds on a game The very least you can expect is for it to not be a bug ridden shell of its former self)    … Expand
