The push for micro transaction money has destroyed a beloved franchise. Don't buy this game. If you own this game do us all a favor and don't buy credits with real money. They do not deserve your money.

A horrible game. 70$ for them to force you to buy their in game currency for real money PD got greedy. for a mainline gran turismo game this is missing a lot of content and it’s got less in it then GT sport so gt7 isvery dull and plain, new update completely broke the game and ruined the in game economy.. highly wouldn’t recommend this game a complete waste of money and a pure disappointment

The Game is Broooken!!! Trying to enter the manufacturers cup for the third time and when qualifying should start, either there is an error or nothing happens!!! I just wasted 3 hours for this broken game!! Fix your game!! Omg...I will return to play Forza Motorsport with my friends. Big disappointment

Reine Geldmacherei. Ich kann das Spiel nicht empfehlen.

Sony must be paying reviewers. This is as bad as it gets, which is a shame since the actual gameplay is great. Even this is bad enough without mentioning the always online single player mode - which at the time of writing has been down for almost an entire day because of server and update problems.

Free to play games aren't this predatory in terms of aggressive monetisation, and in my country this game costs $125. If I spend this kind of money, I should get a full experience, not a mobile game on PS5.

Save your money, don't support such a terrible business model.

GT player since PS1 times here, I'm hugely disappointed in GT7. Already asked for a refund due to false advertising (they advertise you can sell cars...). Such focus on micro-transactions in game that expensive is a scam. Total lack of communication from PD during the extreme server outage - why does it prevent single player? This is just a predatory design focused solely on micro-transactions.

You get home from work, time to wind down and play your newest game GT7.

Load game up, presented with a GT logo spinning “Servers are on maintenance, no data will be saved and game access is limited”. Wow, okay, that sucks, but maintenance should be done in 2 hours right? Nope, going on strong at 16 hours now. It’s bad enough the game is super stingy with rewards to make you pay extra,

It’s bad enough the game is super stingy with rewards to make you pay extra, but also not allowing you to play whenever YOU, the consumer finally have a moment to play is far worse. Basically an expensive virtual brick. Shame on Sony for letting their studios do this backwards practice be standard practice.

Between online single player, the heavy heavy push for micro-transactions, the cafe being the (so far) only form of career mode (and untrue to the series), pathetic roulette system, bugs on release that should have been fixed and more, I can't help but feel bitter about this game. What happened? Why did this series go so far in a bad way? It's pathetic and shameful for how they are handling the push for micro-transactions and the predatory feature of ticket invites for limited car purchases. I was trying to defend all this until the servers went down and I couldn't play the game I played for, I can't make a livery, I can't test a tune, I can't do a time trial for fun enjoying the time/weather change progression just because. To top it all off it's even harder now for casual players to make money and buy/customize cars.
Shameful. I've never felt this bitter about something in gaming before.

One of the most anticipated games of 2022 ruined by greed. Players not buying in to MTX? well lets reduce the rewards for races in SINGLE PLAYER CAREER to try and force us to use MTX? Always online game for f#@$ knows what reason. Starting to feel like those overpriced mobile games.....Pathetic

It would be a great game if the devs weren't so greedy. Sticking in egregious microtransactions to a broken economy. And a game that needs to be online to play single player! Ridiculous! Completely ruined by micro transactions. Need invitations to buy cars for a limited period that cost millions of dollars and the highest payout is less than 100k. Never seen a game push MTX this hard. Also the game is unplayable offline and when they do maintenance. **** joke. Sad to see this happen to a previously amazing franchise

Game totally geared around forcing the player in to micro transactions to get anywhere in the game. Payouts from races are so low and prices for cars so high that GT7 would need to be your full time job to purchase any of the higher end vehicles

First ever review and it's to make sure that a game that has a forced online connection for single player designed purely to protect its microtransactions, that then goes on to force these MTs down players throats via it's 1.07patch while messing the game up so bad it's servers have now been down for 12 hours rendering the game near unplayable gets the score it deserves, a big fat 0

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Every great gaming empire eventually fails. GT7 has good things about it, but the game fails to rise to meet any reasonable standard and borders on fraud with how it was sold versus what it currently is.

Ive played and loved every GT since they came out.. this is an embarrassing show by PD

No new cars, heavily directed gameplay, obvious money grabs, failure to fix their polished turd with rapid action on grinders trying to farm credits, rolling starts for days, laughable roulettes, worst dirt races ever, clunky interface, busy hud, pathetic AI, odd water physics, poor explanation of settings for noobs, and awful online only **** with random errors dicking over players... there's more, but that's enough for a 0.

Give me my money back Sony, this is fraud.

Its a car collection game with no new cars...

    Jfc try harder...

Underneath all the layers of microtransactions lies an OK game, when it's actually playable, which it is not. Clearly this game was made purely to shovel MTX. A black mark on the otherwise great GT series. Do not buy.

Well, the initial release was weak to start with. Now they want to slam those of us who paid crazy money for the game with micro transactions after nerfing the very few ways to earn credits? Makes sense why they focus heavily on "collecting" cars. Very scummy move!

Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
