I feel cheated! The game is almost no different from the previous part! But it was promised ... In general, it is clear that corrupt reviewers have already brought 87 and honest people only 2.0, how much the game deserves!

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Let's start with the elephant in the room. This game is tainted by the corporate greed that is plaguing many industries today. This game is tainted by the corporate greed that is plaguing many industries today. For all the reasons that GT7 is great; there are far more reasons why this game should be avoided by the gaming world. It all comes down to principle. Allowing SONY and Polyphony to get away with what they are attempting, is the gaming world's definition of "Stockholm Syndrome": identifying with your captors. Talk about exploiting your fans. Here's my list of reasons for a low rating of a $70, AAA title. 1. An unbelievably imbalanced micro transaction scheme. They were deceitful in the beginning. And after release, unleashed their greedy wrath on their massively loyal player base. Nothing says "f*** you" to your loyal fans more than how Sony and Polyphony have handled this. 2. Are you a completionist? Not in GT7 you are not! If you bought every car in GT7 via micro transaction credits, you would pay thousands! Over $2,000 to be exact. 3. Can't afford that real world money to buy your favorite car? Then you can grind away by spending days of your time just to buy ONE car! The credit payout system is so nurfed that it is nearly impossible for hard-core gamers to grind their way to completion status. I never use micro-transactions. I usually laugh at people who do. But, to each their own. However, Sony and Polyphany decided to recently nurf their already incredibly imbalanced credit payouts, which will now take almost twice as long to progress by grinding. But let's be real here. Very few people are going to spend the thousands of hours it would take to truly complete this game if they want to avoid spending, you guessed it, thousands of dollars! 4. $70 should buy you a AAA title, right? Then shouldn't you expect that the music be mostly original and licensed? With GT7 you get MANY royalty free classical music pieces to listen to, all so SONY and Polyphony can save money on not purchasing licenses to pay for better music. It's so obvious that these were all corporate decisions to maximize gains by being as cheep as possible with the ambiance of the game, while really sticking it to their fans with the micro transactions. 5. Sony and Polyphonies greed is so obvious that it doesn't take a genius to understand why they have made the game online only, when the vast magority of people's time will be spent playing the single player mode. It's all about those micro transactions! How pathetic. This game is a brick after the next generation comes. Regardless how fun this game is when you're actually playing it (and it is fun); by principle, no one should buy it. Doing so is just enabling an abusive relationship to continue on and allowing these tasteless tactics of greed and exploitation to continue. Expand

Way to ruin a wonderful legacy Sony.
    * Egregious micro-transactions, predatory in behaviour.
    * DRM on single player.
    * Reduce payouts on races forcing micro-transaction usage. Grind, grind, grind.

Worse monetisation than FIFA's "surprise mechanics"

Normally I don't believe a game should be scored a 0 ever so long as it functions. This game is not a free to play game, so why is it pretending like it is? It is a 0 in this case because you can't really play the game unless you have steep pockets. Save your money until the low score forces PlayStations hand

Game publishers and Sony bosses are racists and xenophobes. The whole world should know this. Do not support racism and xenophobia do not buy this game. In order to lick America (the invader of their country from the time of the Second World War to the present day), Japan is ready to fall into xenophobic and racist decisions against other groups of people.

Pushing micro-transactions to get all the cars. This alone is enough for any game to get 0 score from me.
Horrible AI, 'chase the rabbit' racing where you're suppose to start from 20 th position and in 3 laps be 1st.
No content(racing wise) Cafe is very cool but is basically an intro and nothing to do after that except grind and race that horrible and unrealistic AI over and over again.

And mandatory updates which can just halve the price money you receive from events. Mandatory because this is an online-only singleplayer game which you can't play without updating to the latest version. Or at all if there is a 32 (!) hour server maintenance locking everyone from playing most singleplayer content. As compensation, players received 1 million credits which equals 1/18 of a McLaren F1. Does this mean we have to experience 17 more server maintenances of this caliber to just afford this one car? Sony's answer would probably be: "You can just spend a couple of hundred dollars to instantly receive the McLaren! No waiting involved in that!" Yes, we're talking hundreds of actual dollars for a single car.
And if that isn't bad enough, the ingame physics are weird as well. All cars with rear-wheel drive are literal death machines unless you purchase the best tires which by the way are more expensive than some new cars in this game. You expect a 200 HP car to not spin out in 4th gear at 50 mph and half-throttle? You expect a modern Ferrari to be able to turn in about 0.5 degrees at 130 mph without starting to slide and just rotate? You also expect being able to correct situations in which any of this occurs with correct countersteering inputs? Then Polyphony disappoints you in all 3 points. GT7 leaves you more afraid of driving a 300 HP rear-wheel drive car with racing tires than a 900 HP AWD car on sports tires most of the time. So maybe you want to race something else to calm down from your stressful RWD experiences on the racetracks. Like Rally.
But then you realize that after every single jump (of which there are many on most rally tracks) your car will have an absolutely random and unphysical reaction to hitting the ground. Total loss of control guaranteed in most cases, I hope you like rotating 180° for no reason. The AI does not struggle with this of course.
Speaking of driving against the AI: In all (!) single player races you'll start the race rolling in last place with all cars spaced out with huge distances between them. Resulting in the 1. place being 30 to 40 seconds ahead of you when starting the race. That's right, if in a 5 lap race you are not consistently EIGHT SECONDS faster per lap than the 1st place drivers, you can't get a win. So the only viable option becomes driving cars which overpower all opponents, turning the race into a time trial with moving obstacles. No actual racing against others involved.
To repeat my first statement: Don't buy Gran Turismo 7. 95% of the content (cars and tracks) is recycled from GT Sport anyways. Whenever a new Need For Speed or Forza comes out I'm excited to have a look at the car list to see brand new sports cars, facelifted versions and recently released special editions of cars. Try to find any car in GT7 which is newer than 2017, that's a pretty hard task. Does a 2012 Tesla Model S sound exciting enough for you? At least it's more exciting than the visual novel like presentation of the main "campaign" (if you can call it that). Nothing is voiced, just static never-changing images of people with dialogue boxes. Blatant lazyness strikes again and again.

However, 15 days after the release, they decide to burried it. Rewards going down while the prices are increasing... Making the most rare cars really expensive is a point, but with that change it becomes insane... Who could want to play 30 hours on the same track (or pay more than 175$) to buy one of the most exsives cars ?
And guess what, you have to buy 3 of them to get a silver trophy... Polyphony Digital please back to reason instead of betrying your community...

Every car is available to earn via game play but when some cars cost 20 million credits, the temptation to open your wallet is available…. those cars will cost you over $/£120 which are not exactly ‘micro’ transactions. Some of those expensive exotic hybrid cars are dominating the online multiplayer by 5+ seconds a lap which is technically a pay to win system even when cheaper rival cars have an identical PP number. I’m not sure how much Sony paid for some of these 100 reviews from those professional reviewers but it’s a disgrace that they failed to mention the pay to win system especially as this game is very focused on the online multiplayer as it’s a driving simulator Also this game is unplayable off line even with a disk…. I’m only writing this review as I’ve spent 30 hours with a game that cost me £70 (90US$) that I couldn’t play due to server problems. I deliberately bought this game on disk for times like this. Since downloading update to fix the server outage, I’m now receiving less credit for winning races which is why this game has micro transactions to top up your account. Also the used cars in the shop have a limited number so if you don’t buy them before your next race, they are sold out when you earn the credits to afford them ….. another reason for micro transactions This game also features loot crates (cars, credits or upgrade parts) which from the ones I’ve opened so far have always given me the worst reward. I grew up with Gran Turismo on the original PlayStation but my experience with GT7 isn’t taking me back to the glory day of gaming!!! Expand

Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
