    As much as I love Gran Turismo series and this game, I am really pissed about the need to be connected to internet and those absurd decreases of money payouts. I wanted to play the game, but my internet connection isn't great and basically I cannot do anything in it. I will be returning the game because it's unplayable to me :(

    Game went from a solid 9 to a 0 all because of the offline mode. Why must I be connected to the internet to play the single player game. Spent $90 just so I could go 2 days suffering and realizing I wasted my money since unable to play game when maintenance is happening. Or in future when servers shut down. Yet I can still go play GT1-4 for PS1 and 2 and start where I left off, or startGame went from a solid 9 to a 0 all because of the offline mode.     Been a Gran Turismo gamer for 20 years, always enjoyed the game, always look forward to the next game in the series. GT7 was no different and the quality of the game has been let down by faults at launch, glitches, trophy compatibility issues between PS4 and PS5 versions and worst of all slashing rewards compared to previous GT's. The car values have not changed, but rewards are sometimesBeen a Gran Turismo gamer for 20 years, always enjoyed the game, always look forward to the next game in the series. GT7 was no different and the quality of the game has been let down by faults at launch, glitches, trophy compatibility issues between PS4 and PS5 versions and worst of all slashing rewards compared to previous GT's. The car values have not changed, but rewards are sometimes less than 25% of previous, why? Kaz claims, in his apology for downtime, that he wants everyone to enjoy the cars, how when it would take 10-15 hrs of serious grinding to get enough credits for one of the 20m unicorn cars, that is not enjoyable gameplay. I am more than willing to 'work' for the cars I want, but when you only have 1-2 hours per day for gaming time I ain't spending it on this. It will no doubt be another 5 years before the next GT, but unfortuntaley I won't be waiting in anticipation next time.… Expand

    This is a free to play game you have to pay €75 for, just to be able to play it. And what do you get when you've bought the game? A tiny career mode you'll blast through in a few days... And pretty much nothing else. Unless you buy in-game currency at €20 per 2 million credits, that is! This game doesn't exist to be played, it exists to spend money on. Only buy this if you desperately wantThis is a free to play game you have to pay €75 for, just to be able to play it. And what do you get when you've bought the game?     Welcome to the Gran Capitalismo 7!

    Main features:
    - new simulator of poverty
    - insane short career
    - lack of cars
    - lack of events
    - low rewards and bad economy
    - crazy microtransactions
    - online only
    - f2p structure

    The game uses a balance system so if you are not going to pay through microtransactions you will suffer. If you don't pay with real money, you will grind longer.

    Good game content but reliance on MTX has made this game borderline unplayable. Frustrating too that a game with 25 years of loyal fan base would turn against players like this. What a shame

    "5,000 Credits" at all level of award tickets are unforgivable, making cars so expensive and hard to earn credits, really WON'T help people to like cars, and player.
    This is not a EA or Activision game OK ??
    "Single Player" mode should be able to play OFF LINE, really, player are not thief or cheater.
    And reduce some race award are also unforgivable.

    After all the critic reviews had been released they patched the game to increase the reliance on microtransactions. Shame on Sony and Polyphony for such predatory behaviour. I hope they notice this backlash and restore the franchise to what it once was.

    The game is a simple drive simulation.

    GOOD- Graphic detail; huge garage; basically a GT!
    BAD- No qualification (you start in end of race),
    all the patches are to increase micro-transactions (lowering prize and augmet price of car).

    after the patch I would not buy the game anymore.

    Cons- Always-on-connection for single player campaign. Economy deliberately ruined to force you to buy MTX. Nothing much to do after the introductory café "campaign". Game feels half finished. No endurance races or anything that needs advanced licences to compete in. Ui is fiddly and cumbersome. Dirt physics are terrible. Can't sell cars as they want you to buy MTX. No decent payouts for longer races. Pit stops are separate cutscene system. Every race involves starting at the back of the pack and overtaking the ai. Terrible lack of customisation in camera positions (can only move it by a few centimetres in any direction, so no way to fill the screen with the dash from inside the cockpit).

    Seems like they released a half finished game with the idea to either release the rest later for free, or based on their current MTX model, more likely to release it as paid content. The game is a full retail game with the economy of a free-to-play MTX grindfest.

    Couldn't recommended in it's current state.
    Without most of these issues it would get a 7/10 from me, but the very fact that it has an Always-on-connection requirement for the single player portion of the game gets it an instant zero.    … Expand

    They should remove the DRM as well as microtransactions.

    While playing the game I saw that invitation massage twlling me that I could buy some cars and I was perplexed and today I learned about thos subject I cannot buy certain cars until I receive these invitations!

    I should be thanking Sony for helping me to boycott all of their exclusives.

    Roulette tickets are a joke. The chance to win something decent is terrible.

    The outage...OK fair enough, but the communication to the community was appalling.

    The fact that Collector Level means what? Nothing....you are supposed to earn credits (or buy them with a credit card) and buy cars and this raises your collector level...it takes so much to raise this and you get zip, nil, nada for it....so why both with it...was it just to fill a gap on the screen?

    The need to be ONLINE or you can't play is predatory.

    No true endurance races...where's the ones of 30-50 laps races...boring with current selections!

    The advertising states you can sell cars...you cant! - But there is an achievement that wants you to buy the same car 10 times....guess what, if you do this you are left with 9 cars you cant use...and can't sell...LOL, what a joke!!

    RIP Gran Turismo franchise...the party is well and truly over.

    Let me know when someone starts a "Class Action" against Sony and Polyphony Digital. 'Fraudulent Misrepresentation' and 'Breach of a Constructive Trust' come to mind.

The McLaren F1 in particular went from costing 1,000,000 credits in previous titles to 18,500,000 credits, which is nothing short of outrageous.

    In short, corporate greed and microtransactions have singlehandedly ruined a video game with frankly stunning graphics and gameplay, and have tarnished the legacy of Gran Turismo. Do NOT buy this game until Polyphony Digital decides to get their crap together.    … Expand

    Cash grab grind fest, if you want to race your favourite cars you'll need to take out a small bank loan first, had the potential to be the best racing game of all time before Polyphony Digital got greedy, no effort made to correct this after being called out on it, will never buy another PD game again.

    The game has too much PTW content, the developers should either remove the options to buy cars ou lessen the amount of ingame resourcers needed do buy one. The last patch also made even hard to aquire cars without spending real money.

    I have been so excited to play this game and honestly I have had a lot of fun with it. Although after the latest update where they nerfed the payouts and are pushing micro transactions even more I felt disheartened and disappointed. I genuinely haven’t enjoyed playing the game after that.

    And to make matters worse, PD added a mclaren F1 in the legendary shop… for 18.5 mil… requiring about 30-40hrs of grinding to get. Feels like a slap in the face.
    I will shelf the game and maybe come back to it when Somy and PD stop pushing their predatory and greedy practices with their micro transactions. I’m so sorry to see this game turn into such a disaster…    … Expand

O jogo não mudou muito em relação ao Gran Turismo sport, gráficos e texturas agora estão em alta resolução, mas nada que faça os olhos brilharem, a câmera externa do carro continua como uma de 20 anos atrás, de padrão ela vem travada mas com alguns ajustes fica um pouco melhor, a câmera do cokpit é pontoSe o jogo não te obrigasse a comprar carros com dinheiro real a nota seria um 6,5 ... O jogo não mudou muito em relação ao Gran Turismo sport, gráficos e texturas agora estão em alta resolução, mas nada que faça os olhos brilharem, a câmera externa do carro continua como uma de 20 anos atrás, de padrão ela vem travada mas com alguns ajustes fica um pouco melhor, a câmera do cokpit é ponto positivo em relação ao jogo anterior, agora ela conta com o balanço da cabeça do piloto a imersão ficou muito boa nesse quesito. Os menus e interface do jogo são simples no nível de jogos mobile, e este é jogo de corrida de 70 dólares o mais caro até então, a IA do jogo é estilo locomotiva, os carros andam em trilhos eles nunca são agressivos o que torna a maioria das corridas sem muito desafio. No jogo também não há danos estéticos no veículo apenas alguns arranhões e amassados leves, coisas em que seus concorrentes já existem desde a geração passada

Game has lots of issues. multiplayer is effectively broken. You have to close a room session to change tracks ffs? single player can be completed in two days tops. earning cars is now harder as two weeks after the release of the game they decided to massively reduce race payouts (one being 32k down to 12k). This while adding an 18.5 million credit car beating out the previous 12 million highest value in game. The game, despite being a AAA title is run like a pay to play game. after taking a large chunk of money to buy it, it now wants microtransactions at the fore front.2 million credits costs £16 with 100k costing 2. Effectively they have created a 2 tier system. But man, have they screwed us. reducing payouts and increasing cars prices over fixing the actual game problems. No, this is a bad GT game. People will forget over time. Many new owners wont know any of this happened. But those that do, and incidentally were unable to play for THIRTY hours while polyphony carried out the changes, we will never forget.… Expand

The lack of many brands of cars is disappointing what happened to all the older cars and “normal every day driver” cars?? Such a shame that so much potential went down the tubes. I’m don’t enjoy online multiplayer and after about 30hrs of single player there’s not really a reason to keep playing this game. Without any reasonable way to make money collecting and experiencing different cars is just to daunting of a task, which is a shame because that was always a highlight of the series. Unless something is done to right this sinking ship this should be the end of the series and this game hopefully forgotten from history because of the enormous double black eyes on this otherwise excellent series that inspired so many others, you used to not be able to talk racing games without gran turismo it will soon be talking about racing games and avoid what gram turismo became.… Expand

Over the years I’ve supported Kaz and PD, endured the waits as promised launch dates came and went but still remained a fan. Sport tested my allegiance but the promise of a proper GT again pulled me back in, but now finding that after shelling out £70 for a half finished game with most cars being basically hidden behind a considerable pay wall means it’s the last GT for me. Thanks Kaz, it was fun but now you’ve removed any joy the series once provided.… Expand

    Full priced game that charges you 185 bucks to have a top car, or you have to grind the same race roughly 165 times against easy AI on a oval track to get the best payout available (while they dont nerft it like they did before already)

    Everything about the way GT7 plays is fantastic. The cars all feel different, the weather can drastically impact the way a track plays. The cars are detailed and tuning them can turn a mundane car into a gem. I’m not playing this game 10 hours a day, I’m not grinding the same race 20 times in a row before they nerf the rewards again. I’m a casual player that wants to jump in for a bit when I have time. Which means I can’t afford any cars I want, I can’t upgrade anything, I can’t even paint my f*****g cars without being broke all the time. But this is exactly where they want us to be, so we buy their outrageously priced credits with real money. I’m not even going to get into not being able to play the game I just paid $70 for because everything is only online and they took it down. Sony should be ashamed at the state of this game, and appalled that the creator is doubling down on his BS instead of accepting fault and making adjustments.     Stop monitoring my in game activities and give me the game I paid a premium for that works offline. Give me the single player experience you advertised so I can get good first and then transition to online races.

    Public statements of positive intent are meaningless... Action in the form of game updates that make the game playable are the only thing that will get me to reconsider PD as a company I want to support.

Even after they fix the marketplace there's a massive problem with a i and slipstreaming if you don't understand what I'm talkin about try a custom one lap race at the Daytona tri-oval you will get dropped very fast because a i starts off with slipstream for custom races and the user does not this is broken… Expand

    I have played a fair few hours of GT7 now and it is VERY obvious there is a theme running through the game, engineered senorios to tempt you to spend real money, microtransactions, even reducing price money in a recent patch, shocking. We have a choice not to pay real money but the principle with a £70 game.

When a companies only way of getting people to buy their system is with exclusives and they do this with their exclusives it says a ton about the company. Xbox is no saint here either, but every game I have owned on both systems has been better on Xbox by miles. GT7 just lost Sony a customer. This game makes games like Elden Ring that much more special. There is a game that has sold 12 Mil + copies without pay to win, selling me extra skins or any of that other crap, and it’s a fun game that I enjoy playing. Proof you don’t need to assault your customers wallets to be successful. As an after thought the last time I was this disappointed in a game release was Anthem, and this one probably I am even more disappointed in.… Expand

    You can see the Microtransactions influencing game design of GT7. Lower payouts. Crappy roulette spins. Insane car prices. PP limits which require tuning if you want to even try to win. Tuning requires credits. You can no longer sell cars. Cars aren't rewarded at the end of a championship or cup. That paired with tiny payouts is a clear push to buy MTXs.

    GT games back then weren't trying to reach into your pockets again after you bought the game.

    It's not the grind. It's the principle. People don't like feeling manipulated and conned. They made these Microtransactions more aggressive AFTER the sales and good reviews came in.

    There were bugs and issues (force feedback on the wheel is still broken), and their priority was not fixing that, but nerfing credits.

    A shame as the core gameplay is good, but other areas have been compromised.

    10 years since the last numbered GT. Sony first party studio. And this is their code of conduct? This is what they come up with? I expect this of EA, not PD. People expected better. And i don't blame them.    … Expand

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
