    1.08 came out with only new bugs and all the cr farm halved. Said that we don't want people to make microtransactions, won't price the car base on real money, and released an 18 million F1??? What is it? Even with paid cr this car is too much. I'm just too disappointed on this, I'd love to play GTS with a free car every day rather than this **** GT7 just made me sick, piece of ****

    utterly, this is disgusting to what's became of Polyphony Digital. it went from the Beloved and all-time favourite Sim-Racer for the many generations to come - to making their latest release and THIS UPDATE breaking the game so badly that you push the microstransactions SO FAR to where it's nigh-impossible to get the cars people want ?!

    this is just appalling.

    Why the hell you need online to play "single player" game. And the server can disconnect for more than 24 hours?? like how? The reward from the compeition is extremely low, and the opposite the car is f**king expensive. Is like a online game that required players to use real money to play.

    Greed greed greed. I will never be able to afford some of my favorite cars in this game. I can’t afford $50+ on credits and definitely can’t afford to play 5+ hours a day to make a few credits here and there! If I could I would return it but I’m stuck with it. Do not buy! Do not buy!!!!

    An excessively high priced game with forced micro transactions as they've made it near impossible to progress without buying micro transactions. Car prices are up 700% compared to GT Sport with a previously $5 Car now costing $40. The lobbies are broken. You can't track vote, you can't kick the crash trolls. Vehicle settings don't work. To buy the most expensive car in the game will mean rinse and treating the same race 333 times. Polyphony have deceived it's customer base and are thus in breach of consumer law where "it is illegal to intentionally or unintentionally mislead or deceive a customer.     Kazunori is very keen to have cars collected but makes his game non-collectible! What inconsistency of thought! Personally I bought GT7 for collectibles, bought the physical special edition, install the game offline and find that I can hardly do anything with it! What an absurd disappointment, as a big fan I expected gt sport to be a small parenthesis, but on gt7 I never expected such aKazunori is very keen to have cars collected but makes his game non-collectible!     I'd like to start out by saying I grew up on GT games and loved every single one. Actual endurance races. Starting out with a crappy corola or civic and working your way up. I was sold that this game was going back to its roots. The campaign is abysmal and anything resembling an actual endurance race is gone. Endurance races no consist of 10 laps at Daytona. They make it nearly impossibleI'd like to start out by saying I grew up on GT games and loved every single one. Actual endurance races. The campaign is abysmal and anything resembling an actual endurance race is gone. Endurance races no consist of 10 laps at Daytona. They make it nearly impossible to get cars without micro transactions. The roulette system is set up in such a way that 99% of the time you get the smallest reward so you have no other choice but to purchase credits if you want to obtain certain cars. This is something you would normally see in a F2P game, not one that cost $70. They recently further nerfed payouts for races just to push things further toward micro transactions.
    I would have been happy with a length campaign like the old days (which is what they sold me on), but that certainly isn't what is in this game. Not to mention you cant play campaign when servers go down.
    To further ruin the experience my game was bugged for 4-5 days where if I opened licenses to complete them the game would just shut down. I reached out to PD and Sony and neither would do anything. Dont waste your money buying this game they certainly don't care about you after they have your money. I'll never buy another PD game again, which is a shame because I thought they were one of the good devs left. apparently microtransactions bring even the top companies down.    … Expand

    I feel like polyphony digital need to communicate this better on the game title. The should have just include "Online" on the title and it will clarify much better that the game will only be playable on online only connection.

    Why would I pay full price physical copy just to play music rally, limited cars and track?

    Racing a Rally makes you Jump like 6m height, Car will land on nose, turnaround, spin like an idiot, let you loose 1-5 places.

    I opened 23 4-Star Roulettes and earned 19 times 5.000cr.

    0/10 for me. Wouldn't recommend this Game.

    I've been playing the GT series since the first one came out on PSX in 1997 and it's the main reason I stuck with PlayStation consoles all these years. I cannot recommend this game (GT7) due to this heavy push towards MACROtransactions, the always online requirement, the sheer lack of content (it feels as though I spent $90 on a demo), and glaring bugs like pitstops that take over aI've been playing the GT series since the first one came out on PSX in 1997 and it's the main reason I stuck with PlayStation consoles all these years. I cannot recommend this game (GT7) due to this heavy push towards MACROtransactions, the always online requirement, the sheer lack of content (it feels as though I spent $90 on a demo), and glaring bugs like pitstops that take over a minute, invisible unmarked barriers, poor tire modeling, etc. I will not be returning to the GT series or PlayStation consoles at all in the future, as there are far better racing titles on PC (ACC for example), and nowadays most AAA titles can be had on PC regardless.     Internet connection required, how do I play it in 20 years when the servers are off? Why during maintenance my symphony records were not saved? €99 for the 25th anniversary version, it's expensive to play with micro transactions. It is unacceptable to have to spend so many hours to buy all the vehicles and force players to pay.

    The microtransactions in it are utterlly foul. Despite the gameplay being fun Polyphony have done everything to show their distain for the players who have bought this game. It could take you weeks to earn enough in-game credits to buy some cars. And they've locked some behind a roulette system where you have to win an "invite" just to earn the right to buy them.     Really bad money grab at players, not what I expected from Kaz, I really did not think they would cut payouts and charge prices that exceed $150 USD to buy 1 single car in the game. I sold my copy, never buying GT titles again. Forza , I am coming back!

    I'm done defending this game, after all that's happened the last few days with the in game prize money being cut to nearly half and the massive server outage for over 24 hours, seeing that Mclaren F1 pop up in the legends dealer for 18.5mil was the straw that broke the camels back. A good game ruined by greed. To the suits at Sony/Polyphony I hope you rot.

    As a hardcore Gran Turismo fan, I am thoroughly disgusted by the use of DRM in single player mode (of which is incredibly short!). In addition to that, the way that they dramatically lowered how much money you earn for each race in order to push you towards their overpriced micro transactions is something I did not expect from Sony and Polyphony. Their greed has ruined this incredibleAs a hardcore Gran Turismo fan, I am thoroughly disgusted by the use of DRM in single player mode (of which is incredibly short!).     Not worth the money by far the worst gran turismo so far can’t even play solo if server is down and race payouts have been lowered and price for cars has gone up as a way for developers to be able to make more money from micro transactions. Also story mode is super short.

    After you complete the menu you get to grind and grind on low paying races or play championship races that pay little for the time involved in buying a car, turning a car, then racing for 10+ mins. They want you to pay for microtransactions. Game is just worthless. If their server goes offline you can't single player mode. If you have no internet you can't play the game.

Not to mention the game can be incredibly boring at some times: for example the music rally is something really ridiculous that they force down any player throat before they can do anything with the game; Some of the challenges are the most boring I ever was faced with such as stupid races with the slowest possible cars like fiat500 on uphills, the fuel saving one where we are supposed to spend minutes driving as slow as possible to make the most number of kms, etc. The GT Sport online multiplayer legacy that attracted so many players due to its competitiveness, fairness and ease of use with its non existing tuning and mostly BOP regulated races has been totally lost in GT7, now races are all tuneable and exploitable both with tuning and meta cars (that are obviously bought usually with micro transactions). I truly regret pre ordering Gran Turismo, if possible I would just request a refund and would not touch it ever again until some serious changes had been done and price went down dramatically (Sorry PD but you lost my good faith where you deserved launch price for pre order game).
    Last but not least, it was really sleazy from PD and Sony to hide the micro transaction from all initial reviewers and only enable them for the public release, this was clear review manipulation that should not be allowed in this industry    … Expand

    Cannot drive on favorite cars without paying real money. Although this software is a full price item, we need to pay money to enjoy the game. I cannot agree the stance for a game. I extremely regret purchasing digital edition. I want to sell it, but cannot. I decide the future, never buy Polyphony product against their policy.

    Loved this game when it came out. Great graphics and the car simulation dynamics are awesome! However after the recent update making everything extremely expensive is a huge slap in the face to someone who's pre-ordered the game. Do not buy it now.

    Another gatcha pay-to-win game with a big gotcha, they got me to pay AAA retail game pricing up front as well. Sony should be ashamed, then they should offer returns and refunds.

    Was enjoying launch. Nerf to credits make me not want to play much anymore. The amount of time they want you to play to buy 1 car is rediculous. Racing is fine, but they are just being greedy for microtransactions now with not being able to sell cars and rewards being so low.

    Sony just pushed a new update which made this game worse. They are pushing gamers to buy microtransaction. you cant get the refund because its not cyberpunk its Sony game and they will not do it to themselves. DONT BUY IT NOT WORTH IT AFTER THE UPDATE.

    The best part was they nerfed the payout of the races, the easiest of all, The Clubman Cup (Goodwood), the winning payout was 35,000 cr, now it is 12,000 cr. While Mr Yamauchi said "I want to make GT7 a game in which you can enjoy a variety of cars lots of different ways, and if possible would like to try to avoid a situation where a player must mechanically keep replaying certain events over and over again."

    Take Honda, Mazda, Audi and Ferrari cars as example. They have 45 cars, total value is 28,352,040, comes to an average of 630,045 each car. Let's say there are 420 cars? Then a total value of 264,617,040. A 4-minute Goodwood used to give 35,000 cr, simple math, thats 7561 Goodwood race wins = 30,244 minutes = 504 hours. With the new payout (12,000 cr), thats 22,052 Goodwood race wins = 88,208 minutes = 1,470 hours. (I triple checked my math)

    But don't forget the average value of 630,045 is not accurate at all, there are tons of cars north of 1,000,000 cr and did you see a McLaren F1 '94 was 18,500,000?
    (I did not account for the car upgrades which is pretty pricy in some sense)

    At launch, this game was a 9/10. After the latest update, it's a 0/10.

    No full-priced single player video game should *ever* have micro/macro transactions or any sort of always-online requirement that prevents the player from accessing any single-player elements.

    Avoid!! I really can not recommend the game after patch 1.07. The creditsystem in patch 1.06 and previous was correctly balanced. But Polyphony got way too greedy with their latest push for microtransactions ! Also, the servers went down for 32 hours! That means you can’t play the game basicly.
    So my confidence in the Polyphony is gone as well. It takes days/weeks just to acquire just 1    Avoid!! I really can not recommend the game after patch 1.07. The creditsystem in patch 1.06 and previous was correctly balanced. But Polyphony got way too greedy with their latest push for microtransactions ! Also, the servers went down for 32 hours! That means you can’t play the game basicly.
    So my confidence in the Polyphony is gone as well. It takes days/weeks just to acquire just 1 legendary car. ( I have a household to run as well, so for me maybe even a month ). FYI, there are about 400 cars in game, so you can imagine.. and I will not EVER pay any kind of microtransactions.
    Don’t get me wrong I like to work/grind a bit for a sweet reward, but this is absolutely ridiculous! And even if you would pay those monster prices of microtransactions where is the fun in that? There is no meaning at all as to why you should play the game.
    The games on PS5 are already more expensive, So I returned the game and got my refund. It’s not worth my hard earned cash after patch 1.07. It’s really sad to see. The game was really great before, except for the tyrebug with the dirt tracks. the dirt races physics are not that great in general, but on tarmac, it was amazing, but like I said, It WAS. Avoid until a much more favorable creditsystem is installed!!
    Don’t believe those official reviewers whom get paid to play the game. Of course they will rate the game a 10/10. But a game is much more then amazing graphics alone. Believe the people!    … Expand

    From the cat-and-mouse rolling starts on every single race to rigged roulette tickets to the cars that cost more than the price of the game that you've already paid full price for (and require insane amounts of time to grind for, which they've just made even harder), this game is a soulless cash grab. The always online requirement is just the cherry on top.

    Before update 1.08 it was hard enough to even buy a car. But now it feels impossible to even buy the legends or a Honda. The menu books are cool till you finish them and after the game feels empty like it’s half finished or just rushed out without the rest of the courses and books. And most if not 80% of the cats in game are useless in single player races.

    Rating it a 0 after the 1.08 update since the game has now been ruined by unnecessary grinding and immature decisions by Polyphony Digital. Forcing your playerbase towards microtransactions is a very good way to anger your playerbase

    Ruined by micro transactions and a terrible economy. The fact that this is a fully priced game yet most of the content is unavailable unless you buy virtual currency is borderline predatory. They nerfed payouts to make it even harder and direct people to buying in game currency. Totally removes the fun from a potentially brilliant game.

    Presentation and career overall are the only positive aspects. The physics and FFB are laughable and also no way to configure/alter settings. Visual FOV - again - can not be adapted.
    And then there is the micro transaction issue that tears this title apart.

    Sans poncer le jeu je terminé tout les modes. Maintenant c’est une succession de courses juste pour débloquer des voitures hors de prix Je suis très déçu. A l’époque sur PS2 le contenu était plus important avec le A-Spec Je regrette d’avoir dépensé 60 euros pour ce jeu et surtout d’avoir été obliger de souscrire au psn pour jouer

    I love Gran Turismo games but the micro transactions are just killing the whole game. The “random” spins to win “loot” are heavily heavily weighted, if not “rigged” I have no intention to play any longer until this is addressed and if I could I would return and ask for my money back for this money grabbing scheme

    Micro transactions worse than in a free to play game. Ridiculous high prices for legendary cars, always requires server connection even for single play, a maintenance downtime of almost 24 hrs, race rewards get reduced after a software update and now you have to grind twice as long.

    Je suis un joueur de la première heure sur gran turismo, jadis on achetait le jeu et on pouvait avoir accès à tout le contenu sans histoire de connexion et encore moins d'achat ultérieur.. c'était si simple.. Bon sang nous avons payé le jeu et la console bien assez cher pour pouvoir profiter de tout le    80 euros dépensés et je n'ai même pas la liberté d'y jouer à ma guise.. incroyable.

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
