    Horrible experience with this game, didn't realize I had to be online to play the offline single player content and servers have been down for over a day it's a complete joke. £70 for game a game locked behind a connection...as well as micro transactions getting pushed. Will be selling my copy

    From the fact that they didn’t even talk about mtx until after game reviews were published and then launched, makes it a complete bait and switch move. To then lowering pay outs on many races making it a very very long grind to get some of the top cars.

    Time is the one thing you never get back. And the time that I spend playing the game should be spend playing and enjoying the game and not grinding. And I shouldn’t have to pay more than the initial $90 CDN.

    If Polyphony wanted to release a freemium game, then the base game should have been that… free!

    It’s just bad business. Shame.

    I am a huge fan of the franchise since GT1 however GT7 is a paramount disappointment to me. First of all the car selection is crap for European car enthusiasts. Second the credit grinding is a drag and you cant sell cars. To charge a ton of money for a game and then offer in app purchases is a scandal. Further the game has no damage model, so its basically an arcade racer. But the worst isI am a huge fan of the franchise since GT1 however GT7 is a paramount disappointment to me.     I like Playstation-Games but players seems to forget that Sony always mtx their games with **** like The Last of Us or Uncharted, always need a extra part like the PS Vita Memory Card and they even created the Online Pass in a line with Ubisoft back then. They are not so nice as it seems because once in while they releasenm a good sp game.     If a game isn't playable does it really exist? I WAS enjoying the hell out of the game but suddenly can't play it due to outright incompetence and greediness of the developer. Shame on you for making a beautiful, fun to play game that suddenly isn't playable!

    Paid $100 for a game I cannot currently play for over 24 hours with no word from the horrible developers.
    They decreased payouts for racing, aiming to push for more micro transactions. I will be requesting a full refund.

    this will be a disappointment.

    Of course they have the power to fix all this, but I would not count on it.

    Servers down for maintenance for numerous hours when I just want to play single player, an abhorrrent display of microtransactions and loot boxes and very lacking single player content in general. The game itself is great, fantastic driving and design, but these issues need to be fixed asap or the game is doomed for me.

    It’s really unacceptable of Polyphony to make changes to the amount of credits being given for races when they also sell in game money. It’s just as scummy that they made the game have to connect online and then the servers are done for most of a day.

    29 hours downtime for a Triple A game worth $125AUD not long out if release. Now it seems to be the game is pushing towards micro-transactions with the nerfing of credits. Upset have played this franchise since I was a child.

Not content with this, when people started sharing optimal races online that helped offset these actions, the developer released a patch to nerf the rewards in those races. Instead, what they want you to do is buy credits using more real-world currency because otherwise the grind in this game is very real and painful.

    Add to this that even if you want to just enjoy the single-player experience, you cannot do that without being online. "So what?" you might say, "Getting online is easy these days!". Well mostly it is, yes, but it's all rendered irrelevant if the PD servers you need to connect to are unavailable for 2 days. Like now. So the £70 game you bought cannot be played at all, not even in single player mode, because the developer has taken the server down for "maintenance".

    This game could have been amazing. As I say, it looks and drives amazing when you can actually play it and when you can afford a car you like. But sadly, doing either of these things is far from easy. I'll be doing something I've never done with a console game before because even bad purchases I suck up to support game development normally, but this is such scummy behaviour from the developer that this will be going back to Amazon for a refund.     Requiring an online connection for single player content is a poor choice at best, but when maintenance causes 24hr+ outages it's simply unacceptable. GT7 needs some serious reforms before it can be considered worth the money paid for it (even more so if you purchased the 25th Anniversary edition)

    Just absolutely terrible. I was so excited for this game on PS5. I finished all of the progression races in less than a week. And now the game has been down for over 24 hours. Total embarrassment. For context, GT Sport had a better single player mode. I never should have bought this.

For a AAA game that sells consoles for Sony its not great, but my biggest issue is the predatory behaviour in pushing MTX towards people. People didn't buy/pre order a full price AAA game to be forced to play the game like a second job just to be able to drive the cars they can't afford in real life. I understand grinding sometimes but at the current economy set up engaging players on FOMO with limited digital stock of cars on a timer and potentially being short on in game credits, they are pushing for people to shell out for additional cash. For a game that already cost £70? The bait and switch pulled on MTX has left a bitter taste in many fans mouths as MTX were only implemented on launch day, after all the reviews had already come out. Furthermore there is a half-baked single player campaign that is extremely short and ends very abruptly. The campaign rewards you with cars for chasing down a linear rail of cars driven by a brain dead AI. However the cars that are rewarded can't be sold for in game credits like previous titles so you are stuck with a cluttered garage. Further evidence of predatory practices pushing players towards MTX can be seen in the trophy list as there is a trophy for purchasing the same car 10 times. The roulette system to win big ticket items is heavy skewed towards the lowest winnings and its completely random if you win a 1* to 6* ticket from the daily workout. There are very few new additions to cars in the roster at present and very few races for single player enjoyment. For a single player designed GT game it is currently abysmal, the online focused GT Sport from PS4 has more single player content and is better polished. Seriously disappointed in this numbered entry and surprised that the 'Games as a Service' model has been allowed to operate in such a barebones, blatant cash grab fashion.… Expand

    Don't buy this game. Especially after the statement from Kaz (Polyphony boss) which basically defended their decisions to monetise the game as much as possible. Didn't even get any sort of in-game credit compensation or anything after the entire game was broken for over a day!

    I can't imagine a buyout game that still can't log in after 24 hours of maintenance. In addition, your first consideration is not to improve the user experience, optimize online play, Instead, first consider how to force players to recharge into the game. I am really, very disappointed.

    I will sell my ps5 and rely on my far superior pc and xbsx.

    I bought the special edition for BRL499, almost half a minimum monthly payout. I cannot play this game for the last two days cause DRM/server issue, but it is a single player game too! There is lack of content, lots of problems regarding payouts. I am very sad because i bought the PS5 thinking about this game.

To make things worse the developers have patched the game and reduced the rewards for race wins to make it even harder! It’s clear the goal is to make you buy credits from the PS store….. if you don’t want to spend over 30 hours earning credits 1x 20million credit car could cost around $300AUD of real money No thanks!… Expand

Han nerfeado las recompensas. Es decir va directo al fracaso. Gráficos y físicas mediocres en comparación con otros títulos... Un desastre!!!!!!!

    I was 13 when the the 1st game came out in 1997 on PS1 and I salute everyone who worked on these titles for making milestones in racing game and motorsport history. The Impact you left is very special to millions of people over several generations. That alone is pure art.

This "buy everything as a service" and    I was 13 when the the 1st game came out in 1997 on PS1 and I salute everyone who worked on these titles for making milestones in racing game and motorsport history.     1. I pay a full game price for offline singleplayer experience and still get forced to be online 24/7 for 90%+ of the game contents. I know tracking and data collecting means $$$ but come on! Thats shady and criminal!

    2. Earning money to buy the cars is made artificially harder due to up to -50% lower in-game price money. In-game purchases is what we are bullied into. Micro transactions my ass! This is god damn gran turismo not some scum ebay offering.

    3. We cant sell/trade/share cars as it used to be to get money or just as a present for friends and family. How more unsocial can it get?

    All these marketing tricks and false shady communication to reduce "cheating". Boy does your PR spin doctor maybe suffer from alzheimer? Me and millions of other players and fans of the series are done with this until this is changed.

    Juego que obliga a estar siempre online, aun que sea para jugar un solo jugador, mantenimientos tediosos que ocupan mas de 24h, micro transacciones para poder conseguir coches de alta gama ya que se han reducido las recompensas por ganar carreras, nada recomendable, la muerte de gran turismo.

    They nerfed the only races that actually paid out reasonably ($100k per 4-5 minutes when they have $12-$20 million cars.     This game was supposed to be a return to form for the franchise but is falling far short of that. The driving is great, everything else is down right bad though. Little to no SP campaign, no endurance races, no B-spec, no cup series, a fraction of the cars as older games. Couple that with always online requirement, pitiful MTs and server outages and it equals a disgusting cash grab.     I was not really caring about the always on requirement, but was slightly irritated. Especially for a "real" Gran Turismo which I will definitely play alone 99% of the time it's totally useless.

    Now the GT7 servers are down for such a long time, I'm totally pissed not being able to do ANY race at all...

    2 Day Downtime in a singleplayer game. Adding microtransactions after release. Decreasing race payment so you can spend 120€ of your real, hard earned money to buy a virual car. Mobile F2P economics in a 80€ game. The worst part is the game has potential to be great but greedy suits ruined it again

Haven’t been able to play the latest patch yet but it apparently reduces the paltry race rewards even further so you can spend even more time grinding to buy new cars to play the same races over and over again or spend more money on top of the £60 the game costs in the first place.

    - The “Races” aren’t really that at all, the vast majority are rolling start type events with as much as a 40 second gap between you and the lead vehicle. Standing starts with a relatively evenly matched grid are replaced with dull overtaking challenges for almost *every* event.

    - Disappointing number of bugs and glitches for a game that’s been in development for so long. PS4 version has a lot of frame drops which I can overlook as it’s pretty old hardware now.     My account bugged, lost all coffee bar record and tracks, not able to re-do all the missions to gain all tracks back after login, which means I can't do anything. Now can't login the game after 1.07 patch, I'm done with it, I want full refund!!!!

I can manage 2 hours a night of play at most so I'm looking at being able to play around with one car every 2 weeks. Some of my other favourite cars are locked for purchase full stop unless an invite is randomly acquired, absolutely disgusting. How dare they charge any money for this game when the economy is quite obviously entirely based around Pay To Play. Such excitement for a new iteration of this series and for the first time in my life a game has managed to make me feel completely heartbroken.

    All of this on top of the fact that Online is required to play single player. The first week this launched I was unable to play for any extended period as due to issues with our internet caused by Openreach it was dropping in and out.

    £70 for a once great game / franchise, that that you cant even play offline while patches are done. Patches that are screwing over the fans by now prioritising micro transactions by lowering prize credits, raising the price of cars and taking away the ability to sell cars. Its just pure greed.

    The game has been down for 30 hours. You also lower the credit rewards, add in microtransactions, and make the expensive cars unreachable Shame on you guys. I honestly want a refund. I would guess others feel the same.

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
