    DRM needs to die. physical or digital single player game but u can't play for 24 hours because their servers go down. unacceptable. for a racing game that's so perfect at the game part, it gets a 0 score for drm. take that away and its a 9/10

    On the Playstation 5, I pre-ordered the game in 2021 and have been waiting for the release with great anticipation.

    On the release date, I was able to drive a bit and play the game.

    But what was my surprise that they returned the money for the pre-order and took the game away? I'm from Kazakhstan and I don't understand why Sony is so sloppy about the fans of the series.

    Judging by the videos and reviews, the game does not give anything new. I will never buy games in the series of Polyphony digital again.    … Expand

    Could have been so good but the game is pretty much useless without internet connection and the prize money system is totally broken. And even if you are willing to spend real money on your full prize game the prizes for that are ridiculous. 20 € for 2 Mio Credits and some of the most expensive cars are about 10 mio credits….     Imagine a top level racing simulator that doesn't even have a starting grid and every race is a rolling start. Mix that with the very predator micro transaction and the always online requirement I cannot recommend this game. At EoL any purchase or progress you have gained will be completely worthless. Then the cherry on top is you can be forced to stop playing in the middle of a race for over 34 hours just because of "maintenance" for a £70 product this is a complete joke and as someone who owns mutiple platforms and has access to Forza I cannot recommend GT7 to a regular fan only die hard fans who don't mind paying real world cash for cars they can earn in any other racing game.… Expand

    Terrible terrible game. The driving is fine, bur graphically is subpar if it's not the car. Always online. The game didn't work for 30ish hours. Nothing was given as a gift for being unplayable. The race rewards were reduced by like half. Microtransactions are ridiculous. This is a $70 game, but should have been free to play. Avoid.

    If you like micro transactions this game is for you. You know how in the PS5 dash when you select a PS5 game it will play music, like Horizon Forbidden West or Spider-Man, or Astro’s Playroom? Well GT7 throws up a micro transaction box right on your dash! Understand that things are worse now than when the game was reviewed at release. Patches have come out making the grind and the microIf you like micro transactions this game is for you. You know how in the PS5 dash when you select a PS5 game it will play music, like Horizon Forbidden West or Spider-Man, or Astro’s Playroom? Well GT7 throws up a micro transaction box right on your dash! Understand that things are worse now than when the game was reviewed at release. Patches have come out making the grind and the micro transactions worse and more aggressive. And they didn’t just lower the credit rewards for winning races after launch, they have raised prices on cars, even in the last game to match this! And tuning is so over priced that it is not worth it, you lose money when you tune and win the race. I would not have bought had I known what was going to happen. I also don’t like the UI, and how to navigate from the weak single player aspect, to online, to daily challenges. The music races that you can jump right into without going through a dumb confusing interface that deliberately tries to confuse and conceal the lack of content, and are fun, but don’t even give any credits as far as I can tell. This game feels stingy. Very stingy. I said that about Gears 5, and it seems that Sony is going to follow Microsoft and others down the micro transaction rabbit hole. No thanks. I’ve played this game about 4 times since launch. Luckily I’ve been distracted by Elden Ring and Horizon Forbidden West, I feel sorry for those who really were looking forward to this game. Sony is trying to make this game a live service game. In order to play this game, even the single player, you need to always be connected to the internet. In addition to the obvious, that you don’t own the game even if you buy the disk, because you can’t play the game at all unless connected to their server which can be turned off in the future, when there is a problem the game goes offline and you can play. That’s already happened at least once and the game could not be played for 30 hours, even in single player. This was $70 and it feels like a free to play live service game that is riddled with micro transactions and online only service. Like a mobile game. Pretty sad, do not buy. I’m going to uninstall this 106 GB example of corporate greed and be more careful with Sony in the future. I’m done with GT games.… Expand

    What a piece of junk riddled with microtransactions. Never before have I felt so duped by a game producer. Sony should be ashamed of themselves, the only reason to buy a Playstation are the exclusives and once they start screwing those up there is not a single reason why Xbox isn't better.

Я бы вполне понял если бы так сделала free-to-play игра, но Gran Turismo 7, это никакая не f2p, это игра и так за большую стоимость...Да, в этой игре и так был донат, но теперь он стал чуть ли не обязательным.     The game is amazing. But you know why I'm giving this a low score. Absolute scummy micro transactions and drm ruined this game. All avoidable issues. Don't think I'll be playing for much longer.

It's unfinished, barely improved on GT Sport and they've just added a patch making race rewards so low that it's impossible to get rare cars without either grinding 12+ hours a day or spending hundreds (and I mean hundreds) of pounds to get the rare cars.     I used to love the series. It did some questionable choices for the sake of money as far back as GT5 (selling single use paints as DLC, for instance), but it was never egregious, certainly nothing like today's games can get. GT7, however, already started out as mean with its rewards (chiefly the roulette spins that just happen to give you the lowest reward 90% of the time), and with the latest patch, they turned the game into a total grindfest that also tries to tug on your FOMO strings (e.g. the system of invitations: brief windows to buy expensive cars you most likely can't afford)... unless you'd like to buy some in-game currency *nudge* *nudge*    … Expand

    Beautiful visuals and physics but that's where it ends. Ridiculous pay outs to push microtransactions. Finished the campaign (if you can call it that) and barely have any currency or top tier vehicles. Nerfed payouts in latest update. £70 for this is a joke. Never preordering a Sony game again

    How can Sony sell a full priced game and then expect people to pay for upgrades using MTXs. Sony wants to double dip for a game that could have stood on its own and sold millions. This is the type of short term gain that EA and Activision played which routed their long-term trust with gamers. Sony why are you going on the same path, I though you were better than this.

    1. it's not a new game, it was supposed to be "nextgen Gran Turismo" while it's made on the GT sport engine. At best it looks a little bit refreshed. Like you'd bought a new GPU to your PC and finally can run the game on max.
    2. choppy animation: 30 fps replay doesn't cut it. That would not be a problem, but the game on multiple tracks has stuttered in certain areas.    0 out of 10 because:

    - RNG reward cards apart from the smallest amount (negligible) of in-game money, give almost nothing else. I've almost finished story mode (40 lvl cafe) and throughout the game, all I got was 2 crap cars, and 1 invitation to buy a 3m car.
    - car dealership invitations that have a time stamp - buy now, or lose it. As the cars are ridiculously expensive, it's for the sole reason to create FOMO - use the credit card m8.
    - after race car card draw - totally gives the weakest/most common one

    They are open about their politics - nerfing the prize money in patch 1.08 was going full retard. Probably people weren't buying enough credits from PS store. Now they'll wait and check what happens. If the cash stream improves, that will stay, if not, they change something.

    Final word: Blunt, cheaply made, an unfinished cash grab.
    This should be released as a paid expansion to GT sport.
    Buy used or wait for an 80% discount.

    PS. Sony, if you think you can get away with this politics, you're wrong. MS will eat you alive if you continue this path.    … Expand

    Patch it, and guess what, outrageous MTX, pay to win gets released which is as scummy as scummy gets.
    Sony, a money grabbing anti consumer company that cares 100% for profit only.

Recent update has a major bug, in game credits for winning races has been lowered obviously trying to push for the micro transactions! Paid £90 for the 25th Anniversary edition very disappointed! You may as well just go back and play one of the older GT games.

    I paid around £80 to be able to drive incredible beautiful cars which I could never hope to even touch in real life. Instead, I’m forced to grind under-rewarding races for hours just to buy a single nice-ish car. Or, of course, I could pay even more money on micro-transactions. Disgusting. A car collecting game where you can’t afford any of the cool cars. I will never buy a GT game again.

Even with GT3, Sport, this is honestly the first time I've felt that a GT game deserved a negative review. The graphics look great on PS5, but that's not enough when the game costs $70 and has so many issues. Most of these issues can and likely will be fixed, but at this point it's just a glorified beta. Not even mentioning the disrespect by the devs through lowering race rewards in a recent update, only further confirming that this game is just a cash grab with no care for the great community behind these games. Also the fact that the game "rewards you" with a ticket to buy the more luxurious cars that have a set time limit feels like a slap in the face. These cars can cost 80% of the max PP you can get for free. The auction house works the same way but with a constant rotation rather than unlocked as a reward. It shouldn't be on the player to farm the same track for hours a day over the course of a week just to buy a single car hoping they don't take too long or else they'll lose their chance at buying it for an unknown amount of time. The inability to even sell any of the overpriced upgrades or duplicate cars you inevitably collect seems like either a major oversight or a malicious choice to further puch players to buy overpriced micro transactions. I will update this review if any of these major issues are fixed, but for now this game needs more time developing and should be avoided until real changes are made. The recent updates, however, have felt like this game is purely just a massive cash grab and the developers just don't care about the players. I understand wanting to prevent grinding the same track, but with the extremely limited content and the low rewards it's the only way players can unlock even a single nice car. Lowering track rewards and releasing cars that cost nearly as much money as the player is allowed to earn just seems like they only care about earning more and more money, regardless of the image it will give them.… Expand

    The BLATANT push to microtransactions is almost criminal. Always online required so that you are always online to purchase credits. It really is bad. Specially with the reduced reward from races now.
    The game itself is fun and enjoyable but thats like packaging a cake in **** You're not going to want it because there will always be a bad smell.

    This game was a major disappointment. I don’t have all the time in the world to grind for credits. The payouts are far less and the cars are far more expensive this game than previous gran turismo games. Gran Turismo is now getting thrown in my never buy again list right along EA games

Esperaba mucho de este juego, siento que lo apresuraron mucho, en algunas carreras se ve muy bien pero en otras se ve pésimo, lo que termino de desecharlo fue sus MACROpagos, su actualización haciendo que se invierta mucho tiempo en obtener dinero para comprar mejores coches, creo que no era necesario, mataron el espíritu del juego, no se utiliza lo mejor de esta generación, hay carreras que son horribles, debieron haberlo lanzado después de haber pulido esos detalles.
    Sony hasta cuando con esas políticas tan abusivas de los micro pagos en este juego, nos mato la ilusión, sumado a eso la caída de los servidores y su conexión permanente que tanto se critico a la competencia, esto es para romper el juego o venderlo rápidamente.    … Expand

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]
