    Absolutely appalling, disgusting behavior by Polyphony and Sony. I never write reviews, but I felt compelled to warn people of the disgusting attempts to squeeze as much money as possible out of a loyal fanbase. It's bad enough that the game is entirely online only, so if the servers are down, there is NOTHING you can do.. but to lower the payouts on races only weeks after the game isAbsolutely appalling, disgusting behavior by Polyphony and Sony.     they totally took the fun out of this game, every race is a rolling start and you catch up to the guy in first in in 1 lap then the game boost the guy in front so your chasing for the last 4 laps by hundreds of a sec its just annoying and predictable to the point i kind of hate this game.     Internet & updates:
    - When server maintenance happens, most game features become unavailable.
    - Want to play 2-player split screen? you need to connect to their server.
    - Want to play offline? you can only choose from 13 cars in the arcade.
    - Lackluster updates add game crashings bugs, generic tracks and more cars.

    Economy:
    - The economy is deliberately fudged so they can sell microtransactions.
    - Race rewards are poor. There are too many expensive cars and tuning parts.
    - Patch updates have nerfed race rewards and even tripled car prices.
    - You cannot test drive cars at the dealership (or sell cars you own).

    Restrictions:
    - Performance points (PP) restrictions are absolutely frustrating.
    - Races have restrictions but patch updates keep changing car PP numbers.
    - You enter a race one day, and then next update; your car is not eligible.
    - Your time and money is wasted. Too often you will be down-tuning your cars.

    Licences & pre-race:
    - It is cumbersome to look for cars (no search, just big lists to scroll).
    - The higher level License tests are optional (no races require them).
    - Some license tests e.g Laguna Seca, you will need a lot of luck to pass.
    - There is no race qualifying option or B-spec mode in the campaign.

    Racing experience:
    - Game is heavily optimised for racing wheels (controller is less precise).
    - Too many rolling starts (leading cars are half a lap ahead on short tracks).
    - The driving speed feels good but the mph/kmh numbers seem exaggerated.
    - A.I. are generally on a fixed path and often end up driving into you.

    Penalties & damage:
    - Events with penalties suck. Hit a wall by accident? get penalized twice.
    - Events with car damage suck. Scratch a wall and the car drives all wonky.
    - After around 30 seconds the car magically recovers from any incident.
    - No car body damage, only scratches that just disappear after a race.

    Weather & Tracks:
    - Terrible rain effect on all cars, it is as slippery as black ice.
    - Hard tires lose all grip after like 5-8 laps, it is beyond unrealistic.
    - Rally races are awful, cars float and launch into the air comically.
    - Lack of track variety. There are no winter/snow or city tracks.

    Prizes & RNG:
    - To motivate racing daily, there is a roulette wheel prize. It is rigged.
    - All prizes are pre-selected - the spinning animation is just for show.
    - The best car parts are locked behind RNG (can't be bought at tuning shop).
    - You need to win a 'invite' to be able to buy some cars at the dealership.

    I got the platinum trophy but felt no joy. The core of this game is rotten.    … Expand

    To make it even worse, with the last update they also nerfed the amount of money you get from most races, so you'll have to grind for hours to buy anything.
    It's a pay-to-win game, where the box itself already costs a lot of money and    PD had a lot to prove when they decided to make an online-only singleplayer game and they failed. Servers are not working most of the time I want to play.

Why? Because Polyphony forgot to include racing game in GT7!
    It's a fetch quest to bring 3 cars, given to you by the guy in cafe who cannot speak, but gives you tasks in written form to fetch some cars. Once you do that he will tell about them and ask you to bring another 3 cars etc.. It's just irresistible to listen(read) about the things that cafe guy want to tell you about.
    You cannot sell cars you cannot customise what's displayed during race, there are only two options full and limited HUD. Limited meaning racetrack layout and leader board that obstruct entire rear view mirror. If you have an older car and modify it driving with cockpit view will only inform you about speed until you reach limit of a factory fitted gauge. What is your speed after that? Full HUD will tell you that and take half of the screen rendering cockpit view useless. This game is a biggest joke at the expense or racing enthusiast in recent years. Hey did you know by the way that you can buy 100.000 in game credits for just £1.99? No skill required!

    Extremely disappointed. Waited ages for this and it feels like half the game is missing. Where are make-specific races and championships? Where are the endurance races? Where are the big credit rewards for winning? Also it feels like there's something off with the way the cars handle and the sense of speed. Cars feel heavy and sluggish.

    Wow, this must be a bad joke. Always on is bad enough, the ingame prices were bad enough before Patch 1.07/1.08 but the statement of kaz is a punch in the face. I hate myself for preordering this game now and i am a fan of this series from Part 1. My heart hurts.

    The game looks gorgeous. But the whole experience is bad. It feels like it forces microtransaction on you. It is an annoying grind show. Always online should be illegal. That ruins the whole experience as a single player. And why are there only old cars? Where are the new 2021/22 cars like the new BMW M4 or Gran Coupé? The whole game feels like it's unfinished and rushed.

I don't have a PS+ account and Yet I still need to be online to play the game. All the usual cons are still there (bad AI, not car damage, terrible external views, bad ergonomy, over flooded HUD, poorly updated car list). GT7 is a complete failure, which II paid 80€ for a full game with microtransactions that are so obvious and so pushed, it makes Ubisoft as a generous philanthropist. I don't have a PS+ account and Yet I still need to be online to play the game. All the usual cons are still there (bad AI, not car damage, terrible external views, bad ergonomy, over flooded HUD, poorly updated car list). GT7 is a complete failure, which I regret buying. I've played and enjoyed every single Gran Turismo, but this one is a huge disapmointment. The handling and the use of the dualsense are good though.… Expand

Meagre rewards for winning races were recently lowered in a patched update that makes it more difficult to get in game currency to purchase the cars and numerous upgrades that are needed.     It's not a F2P game, Polyphony. You've charged us a bomb for this, and now dare loot us again with egregious MTX after reducing the credits payout. All this BS pulled off, specifically after the review periods got over, shows how predatory and exploitative Sony and the devs are.

    Never pre-ordering a PlayStation game again!

    I love the Gran Turismo series but these nerfs pushing for microtransactions after the reviews period and I bought the game full price are unacceptable.

    Paid a lot of cash for the Gran Turismo 7, but I can't play it in my spare time, this game will never belong to myself. Where did we ever go wrong, Sony ? Game is also boring and I go back to Gran Turismo 4 and 5 on older consoles to get the best of my experience, still. Hopefully my old wheel lasts.

    Let me just put it this way, one of my friends who was as big fan of gran turismo 4 just recently saw that gt7 came out and he is not a big fan of games any more but he said that he is thinking of getting a ps5 just for gt7 and as soon as he heard how the game has changed with the recent update he is 100% convinced now that he won't go back to gaming and won't get a ps5.

Начал играть как только она вышла в 00:00, и она мне очень понравилась, так как фанат прошлой части. Поиграл 3-4 часа, выбил даже 6/54 ачивок и пошёл спать счастливым. Проснулся и сразу пошёл играть, но там замок.

    Я очень разочаровался в японцах, вы хотели пробудить ненависть во мне, но у вас не получилось. Я даже мог бы понять, если б моя страна была не права, но это не так. Так поступать, не разобравшись в ситуации, это очень глупо. От кого, но от вас я точно не ожидал. От людей, которые подарили нам философские знания из аниме Наруто, что надо на ситуацию смотреть с каждой стороны.

    Либо если вы обдуманно решили поддержать фашизм, как вы это делали в 1945, то ничего удивительного. Но вы должны знать, что добро всегда побеждает зло.

    Если хотите войны, будет вам война, я буду первым добровольцем, буду тренироваться, даже готов чтоб на вас вместе со мной упали ядерные бомбы. А то вам похоже было мало. А если войны не будет, то я буду растить сыновей и внуков, чтоб протолкнуть их в политику и чтоб они за меня стёрли вас в порошок.     Unfortunately I would not recommend a $70,00 game that heavily uses microtransactions. That would cost 5 of the 10 possible points. The other 5 are due to the requirement of internet connection to play the Campaign. Outragerous. It surely has many great points, but they become irrelevant. Avoid for now.

    the best way to completely nuke your player base and good will:

    force the game to always be online to ensure your players have no choice but to download the latest MTX riddled software update and leave it with a kill switch to be permanently deleted when the devs can't be assed keeping the servers up anymore. short term profits over long term gains as always, good job guys

    The game was ok before they ruined it last night. They reduced the pay-outs for races which means it is now nearly impossible to make money. why did they do this? microtransactions. We now have to use our hard earned money to buy cars, unless you want to spend 50 hours doing the same race over and over again.

    Unacceptable. My first time playing Gran Turismo and all the issues and problems, make me never want to play it or future releases ever again. Look at Assetto Corsa, that is a game for the people. GT is now a Sony money theft. And god sake, fix the rally physics.

    I waited to buy a PS5 just to play Gran Turismo 7 only to be so disappointed in every possible way. One of the most disappointing games I have ever played. If I knew Gran Turismo 7 was going to be this bad, I would have never bought a PS5. What a waste.

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
