    This is my favorite god of war yet. Its the total package and Im thankful I have had the opportunity to play it. The combat improved, environments breathtaking, customization of gameplay is great & story is fantastic. I had a lot of minor glitches where I had to restart my check point, restart game & some buttons didn't work but thats it but hopefully a patch fixes these, very veryThis is my favorite god of war yet.     This is a century defining game, it didn't only made us feel the power, frustration, pain, suffering and rage when we were young, but ut evolved everything to an unprecedent new level. The story, the caring for details. This is a masterpiece and deserve only the best.

    It's my easiest 10/10 this game is amazing, the combat, the story, everything is super.

    I'm playing it on give me god of war difficulty and i like the challenge. Short and sweet, don't sleep on this game everyone.

    I have played video games for the last 20 years and it's games like God of war ragnarok what keeps me playing, there's really not surprise that a playstation exclusive is good, but God of war takes your expectations and makes them even better. There is really not a negative thing to say, ragnarok is a masterpiece and if you own a ps4/ps5, you have to get this game.

    Man i dunno what to say about this game. The developers nailed every single aspect of this game and improved everything that was already almost perfect in the previous game. Amazing gameplay, wonderful story and ending and wonderful music. Even the side quests feel as big as the main quests. It’s simply a masterpiece. Anyway, I really liked GoW 2018 and I'm haply to see the sequel literally improve every aspect. The original GoW trilogy has some very underdeveloped characters. So seeing Freita have development instead of being a sex object was cool. Thi God of War also has fantastic gameplayIt ain't perfect. No game is.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. God of War: Ragnarok has been one of my most anticipated games all year, and it did not disappoint. The game feels flawless in execution, from gameplay, to graphics, to storytelling. The boss fights are intense and challenging. The regular enemies take skill to take out without being overwhelmed. All the meanwhile you feel badass every time you finish an enemy with a classic Kratos execution. The most surprising part of this game is how it transitioned from the last game feeling like Kratos’ story and Atreus was just a part in it, to this game, where Atreus really takes the lead and becomes his own character and not just “BOY”. As events unfolded I found myself wondering throughout the entirety of the game, will they follow fate. Will things turn out exactly how they did in the prophecies. The only demerit I have for this game is that Kratos could not wield Mjölnir, though it is understandable as I believe even Kratos himself would not think he was worthy. It’s sad to see the game get review bombed just for being a Sony exclusive when it is such a masterpiece of story telling and immersion. I would consider this game a must play for anyone and everyone.… Expand

    I signed up to metacritic just to leave a review, the first time I’ve ever done so because I haven’t loved a game like this in over a decade. God of War (2018) was a great game, but this was on another level. I’m speechless about how much I enjoyed this game, one of the best I’ve ever played. Absolutely amazing.

    This game is a yet another masterpiece. Compared to 2018's GoW, GoW Ragnarök has deeper story. Gameplay mechanics is decent. I didn't confront with any critical bugs during my gameplay.

    God of War Ragnarok is my new favorite game of all time. Everything is incredible, from the amazing story, to the addictive gameplay. I thought it near impossible to improve on everything from its predecessor, but they have done it and did it beautifully. Not a lot of enemy variety was my main complaint of God of War 2018, but they took that to heart and added much more enemy variety. IGod of War Ragnarok is my new favorite game of all time.     Perfect in every way. The boss battles require the most focus ever. Getting to play as Kratos brings you back so much nostalgia. Getting to play as Atreus is amazing too. I loved every second of this game.

    This game is an absolute masterpiece I have beat it already and have enjoyed every second of it. This game is a must play. Only downsides I have for the game is trying to find all of the collectibles which is very time consuming. The ending was very unexpected. Bravo to the developer team for this amazing game, thanks!

    What I can say after playing all the games in the franchise is that this game, left nothing to be desired, delivered everything and a little more. Perfect narrative, excellent plot. The development of Atreus went from good to great.

It’s story is facilitated by fun and engaging combat (with lots of enemy variety!), an excellent soundtrack, and visually stunning art direction. In addition, the voice acting and performances are the bestGod of War: Ragnarök lived up to the hype. It has an incredible story which develops characters in meaningful ways and has many interesting themes such as family or revenge vs. justice. It’s story is facilitated by fun and engaging combat (with lots of enemy variety!), an excellent soundtrack, and visually stunning art direction. In addition, the voice acting and performances are the best of any game I’ve ever played. The only issues I have with the game are the few rare bugs like enemies falling through the floor, or Kratos glitching through obstacles. Also, the companions giveaway hints for puzzles way too quickly for my taste. This being said, I got the platinum trophy today and I’m so glad to have played it. I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn’t picked it up already.… Expand

    I spent about 43 hours on the game before I finished the story, as the side quests/tasks flowed very nicely with the rest of the game. It is rewarding to complete the quests and get the gear as well as see how the world changes as it is affected by the quest.

    It is easier to name the cons rather than the remaining pros:
    Some minor parts of the story could feel a bit dragged out.
    Some of the side bosses could feel somewhat uninspired.
    Minor bugs.

    Clearly all the really low reviews are to bomb this game. It's a shame, but that's fanboys & the crazy world we live in. This game is a step above the first game and the fact that it is nominated for GOTY and it just recently dropped should tell u all u need to know. Nothing will beat Elden Ring but this game is close.

    I always found the first one overrated and this is no exception this is not the God of war I loved when I was a kid however I would still say this is a good game is it a masterpiece ? No it's not all these 10 makes me wonder how much people can be blind on the flaws of this game

    100% better than I thought it would be, and already way better than it's predecessor. This game is absolutely nothing less than a perfect 10! Sony Santa Monica don't miss with hits like this. Game of a generation!!!

    I've only managed to play this for a few hours, but the experience has been great. Although some things feel like a carbon copy from the last one, the little tweaks here and there completely refine a system that was almost perfect. Santa Monica Studio knows his craft.

The narrative is extremely well done and the performances are truly great from pretty much every person in the game. It's a great sequel and answers all the questions that were posed by the previous game.     How does this game have an average 7.9?!

    Not only is it better than the first but it **** all over any Marvel or DC film in terms of storytelling, character development and cinematics. BUY THIS GAME IF YOU HAVEN’ T ALREADY !!!!

    Rarely do we see a sequel not only live upto its predecessor but exceed all levels, exploring 9 realms there is so much to see, so much lore, so much activities, all sorts of new enemies including dragons, berserker etc, enhanced gameplay, post ending content, its like i could play 100+ hours

    This is a type of game where if you're huge PC/XBOX/SWITCH fanboy/girl you need to put that away for a few weeks.... Go out and buy a PS5 along with this game and get ready to see SONY SANTA MONICA STUDIOS put all those other developers to shame.

    The bar has now been set very high for a AAA single player title done right, and now its up to ROCKSTAR or maybe NAUGHTY DOG to come try and top this game but I don't see it happening anytime soon.    … Expand

Ragnarok fixed all of that. The journey spans a much wider range of places, there are a ton of cool enemies and bosses and the story is unpredictable. I was pleasantly surprised by this game.     GOW: Ragnarok is a perfect game. The story is rich and quite emotional. The combat is refined from the last entry and involve 3 other characters. Great voice overs, great music. You have some more smooth moments that let you pause. You get puzzles and maybe 90% you can figure by observation. You get some powers gradually, so you have to revisit some areas to complete side quests with newGOW: Ragnarok is a perfect game. The story is rich and quite emotional.     Next time when you make a game you start from the beginning.

    The characters needs to move slow before reaching the highest level of Speed moves in attacks.

    Very well polished and challenging as always. I'm living the story telling and the way in which it is being told. Playing different characters is nice as they all play a bit different. I'm still working my way through it on hard and it's putting up a fight for sure. the graphics are amazing for the most part.

    Historia: Sin duda lo que más ansiaban los jugadores era saber el desenlace de la odisea de Kratos en los nueve reinos, aunque se siente un poco apresurada la historia debido a que aquí veremos lo que debió haber sido    El Ragnarök ha llegado y está nueva aventura de Kratos e hijo prometió mucho y para satisfacción de muchos cumplió con su cometido, una gran obra de Santa Mónica Studio.
    Historia: Sin duda lo que más ansiaban los jugadores era saber el desenlace de la odisea de Kratos en los nueve reinos, aunque se siente un poco apresurada la historia debido a que aquí veremos lo que debió haber sido desarrollado en dos juegos, aún así la historia se desenvolverá naturalmente, desde el principio al fin la historia te mantendrá al filo del asiento, pasando por momentos de acción, humor y lágrimas. El final es epico y un gran cierra para la saga nórdica.
    Sonido: Las actuaciones son magistrales y su doblaje al español latino un excelente trabajo. La única voz que tal vez no me convenció fue la de Odin ya que no se parece mucho a su voz original, pero no quita que hizo un buen trabajo.
    En cuanto a la banda sonora es un diez en todo su esplendor, cada pieza en este juego encaja perfectamente en todo momento. Su soundtrack es simplemente algo que podrás gozar jugando o no.
    Gráficos: 10/10 sin duda ver God of War Ragnarök en 4K o 60fps es un deleite visual, cada rincón de los nueve reinos está sumamente detallado, se extraña inmediatamente el modo foto de lanzamiento, aún sin este modo es muy fácil notar el trabajo hecho por el equipo de Santa Mónica Studio.
    Gameplay: La parte más importante de todo juego y claro este apartado no decepciona, si bien es familiar ya que es prácticamente el mismo gameplay de su versión anterior, con algunas mejoras y nuevos modos. La dificultad en el juego aumento un poco más con respecto a su versión anterior, el atacar y hacer combos se siente muy bien, así como matar a tus enemigos, cuyas muertes varían según el arma que portes. Una de las quejas que puedo poner en este apartado es el control Dualsense, el cuál no ha Sido explotado casi nada, si bien la vibración háptica se ve que trataron de implementar la poco o nada se siente el cambio de terrenos o golpes o armas, lo más que puedes llegar a sentir es cuando viajas en trineo y pasas de hielo a nieve a tierra. Los Gatillos Adaptativos son otros grandes olvidados, usados solo para algunas pocas partes del juego y vaya que pudieron ser aprovechados mejor, si Sony no aprovecha su control que me puedo esperar de juegos de terceros.    … Expand

    I can't help but tip my hat to the entire Santa Monica team. The deeper you delve into the game, the more you'll be drawn into the stunning story of a father and son against the backdrop of perhaps history's most horrific war. Throw in some casually endearing humour, great and fluid gameplay, and wrap it all up with an amazing audiovisual experience. [Issue#323]

    Thanks to an amazing cast that’s doing an outstanding job, a compelling story told through the eyes of multiple characters, and top-notch combat, this epic and heartfelt journey strikes all the right chord. It’s impossible not to recommend God of War Ragnarok, but just in case you had any doubts, I strongly advise anyone mildly interested in gaming to play Santa Monica Studio’s latest masterpiece.
