Jan 11, 2023It's not as good as the first one. It is more of the same, a very long expansion four years too late.

Nov 13, 2022Most people are rating this game based on the name alone, this game is no better than the previous game, except with more cinematic’s and even on a PS5 it doesn’t even look any better than the previous game, too much walking, talking, and cinematic’s, they are charging $74.99 for these games, they really have to do better, maybe Forspoken will be the GOTY, it’s definitely not this one.

Nov 17, 2022I played 3 hours and got bored, so $20/hour.
Dialog is banal, combat repetitive.
Touchy-feely no workie.
It's a B-movie on rails with underwhelming combat in the middle. -
Nov 11, 2022The most overrated game in the world.
This game no more than 7 out of 10, the same elements from the previous game,
Slow and boring gameplay, mediocre story, bad AI enemies, repetitive enemies.
I don't understand how people praise this boring game.
Not worth the $70 price, better to wait for a price discount or not buy this joke at all. -
Jun 25, 2023In 2023 we're not used to this linearity. Feels like walking through a tunnel with too much storytelling. Also, the puzzles are based on luck in finding the solution, not intelligence. Very, deeply boring
-
Nov 15, 2022i dont think there is a more overrated game...despite being very casual and simplistic, combat is ok. but the story and dialogues would just make a bad TV show or movie...I guess this game is just not for me

Nov 30, 2022A tedious game with monotonous gameplay and dumb companion tips as if I'm 6 years old. The graphics are certainly good. But this is not what I expected to see after going through part 1

Nov 10, 2022Are you kidding me! 94
Same gameplay
Same graphic
Same melee
Same level design
I swear to real god if you've played GOW 2018, you don't need to buy Ragnarok. -
Nov 21, 2022The 2018 GOW was a masterpiece. This game is not, not even close. Character development is so bad it is laughable. Story is simplistic and predictable - and with plot holes, no less. Level design is soo boring.
There were reports developers panicked half a year ago, being convinced the game was trash - well, it's not trash, but it is very average at best. -
Nov 12, 2022This game is nothing compared with the one release in 2018. But if yo wana watch a good movie this game is for you. Santa Monica we want a game not movie
-
Jun 21, 2023Copy paste from the first god of war on ps4, this is just boring , i haven't finish the game and won't finish it.... even if the story is fine, but were are the new thing ? the weapons ? the combos ? This is a shame that this game as such a big score .... realy disappointing

Nov 17, 2022Does what it does correctly, but the hand holding is inexcusable. Devs need to stop catering to the lowest common denominator and realize that most people can actually grasp very basic logic in puzzle solving. Prompting the player literally seconds after a small challenge presents itself is baffingly bad.

-
Nov 12, 2022Well what to say this 70 dollar expansion ok i guess but don`t feel like a step up from the first of the new god of wars story is mhe at best really no huge improvement on graphics
-

Nov 26, 2022I didn't like the 2018 God of War game. They stripped away so many gameplay mechanics from the og. GOW games and didn't replace them with anything new. I also didn't like the story because it seemed poorly written with a forced character arch for Atreus and with a boring Kratos. This game is just a total rehash of that with similar flaws and full of reused assets.
-
Nov 10, 2022It's not a bad game but you can tell its mostly a ps4 game. It just feels like nothing special has been added to the actual game. It's just a long DLC. Not to mention the cutscenes. I want to play the actual game not sit and watch a movie.

Nov 10, 2022I really liked the previous work and thought that it would bring about breakthrough progress, but I was disappointed. In the same situation as the previous work, I was very upset that the decryption and map running became more and more. It seemed that I was playing with the Assassin's Creed. It was strange that many of the materials were reused in the plot arrangement.

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Jan 25, 2024I can't help but tip my hat to the entire Santa Monica team. The deeper you delve into the game, the more you'll be drawn into the stunning story of a father and son against the backdrop of perhaps history's most horrific war. Throw in some casually endearing humour, great and fluid gameplay, and wrap it all up with an amazing audiovisual experience. [Issue#323]

Dec 8, 2022Thanks to an amazing cast that’s doing an outstanding job, a compelling story told through the eyes of multiple characters, and top-notch combat, this epic and heartfelt journey strikes all the right chord. It’s impossible not to recommend God of War Ragnarok, but just in case you had any doubts, I strongly advise anyone mildly interested in gaming to play Santa Monica Studio’s latest masterpiece.

Dec 1, 2022It’s a satisfying conclusion to the modern God of War saga, but it’s hard to walk away and not feel like this could have been something greater.
