    One of the best games of the generation. Played through it on ps4 pro and it is as amazing on ps5. Acting is amazing, the story is great and the game looks amazing.

    SuckerPunch Productions took a great game and made it so much better with the Iki Island expansion, better Legends MP, better sound, use of SSD, use of 3D Audio. This game is one of the best-looking games ever!

    I wasn’t happy about how the director’s cut charged me for the upgrade, but I am willing to pay the extra to support a masterpiece like this. The stunning scenery and the elegant combat make this game a must-play for every next-gen player. 60 FPS does make everything smoother, and I truly enjoyed my new game + playthrough.

    This game is an absolute banger!!! 10/10. I never played the PS4version and my wife bought this for me for xmas (pre-order). It was great. Loved the IKI island expansion. The story, soundtrack amazing. If I had one comment it would be after completing Iki island my skills and character had improved so that I felt a bit over powered playing through the original story.

    Ghost of Tsushima is undoubtedly the most beautiful game at the moment, with a sophisticated combat system and a compelling story inspired by real events. The Director's Cut version has expanded the story even further and added many improvements to an already perfect game.     I didn't play it on PS4, started on PS5 right away. It was great, the game is gorgeous and the story is really good. It's my first time completing the game to 100% and I played a ton of them. Great job!

    Ghost Of Tsushima is a story-telling masterpiece with great combat and gameplay, with even better graphics and scenery and the score is just beautiful. If you're into open-world games with great gameplay and a great story this is the game for you.

    Great take on feudal Japan. Realistic and mature story with well developed characters, all of which are transformed by the events and atrocities of the mongol invasion. Main theme of the tale is how much can one sacrifice on morals in order to protect what's dear to him. The protagonist name Jin Sakai translates to person on the border.

    Pros: -Beautiful visuals -Immersive soundtrack -Sword combat feels better than any other game I've played -An enticing story and a memorable protagonist -Plenty of interesting gameplay mechanics Cons: -Most supporting characters and their stories are somewhat boring -Side missions can be linear and feel like they repeat    The first PS5 game I ever played and I really enjoyed it.

I prefer Playstation due to their focus on narrative games. For scoring, I’ll be using the Gameinformer review scale and of course influenced by my personal opinions.

    Originally owned on the PS4. 10 dollar to upgrade to PS5 and receive previous DLC. Worth the price!

    (10) Outstanding. A truly elite title that is nearly perfect in every way. This score is given out rarely and indicates a game that cannot be missed.

    I’m surprised Sucker Punch was able to write this good of a story since the infamous series seemed to have a mediocre story. The main character struggles with maintaining his traditions or to do what is necessary to save his country from being taking over. The only thing I wish the developer could have done different is to allow you to choose which of those two paths to take instead of forcing you into one path but I admit that would be difficult to write out both ways. The route they take you on will help you decide on your own morals. The combat was also well done in this game, providing a challenge for those that want one. Sucker Punch made this one innovation that every game should follow suit on which is how they guide you through the world. They don’t give you a giant arrow to show you the way. They let you follow the wind. Follow that bird or fox that you found in the game. I’m surprised it took this long for someone to think of this idea. It’s so simply.    … Expand

    Les graphiques sont époustouflant et l'on a envie d'y être. En mode difficile et létale, Jin Sakai devient une périphérie immersive et l'on sent la puissance de notre protagoniste. L'expérience en mode difficile et létale nous fait vivre la compréhensivité de l'évolution du protagoniste. Les postures, les armes du fantômes devient alors une nécessité alternatives afin de facilité les combats. Le scénario écrit est manifestement une salutation à l'histoire du Japon et ce qui nous fait tant rêver. En mode légende, la dimension des quatres héros fantômes devient une expériences en mode en ligne. L'évolution des quatres voies des fantômes nous amènent à comprendre les prédécesseurs ou la voie du Ninja. Toujours aussi nerveux, à vous d'en faire l'histoire. Bien adapté pour tout les styles de jeux ou de difficulté, soyez téméraire et expérimenter les possibilités de ce titre unique.     Really good open world, very interesting story with a emotional experience, the combat is just 10 out 10 so satisfying and never become boring. The audio is perfect, the ps5 features are excellent the only thing that I don't like its the repetitive mission. But I still think that his a masterpieces.

    Easily the most diverse, emotional and beautiful masterpiece I've ever played. The moral implications placed upon the main character weigh heavily, ultimately paying the highest social price. A must have PS5 acquisition.

    This game is my all time GOAT. Combat feels amazing especially on the duelsense. Story is great and the game doesn't over stay it's welcome. Music is great. The sides quest even with the lack of cutscenes adds to the overall story

    Ghost of Tsushima is near perfect in every way. I see people complain about graphics!?!? This is one of the very few games I've played that runs 60fps in fidelity mode! Seriously, this game looks as good or in most cases better than anything coming out in 2023, especially taking into account the gorgeus art direction/design. the story is compelling and propulsive- It had me wanting to save main missions so I could savour the overall story more. Which brings me to side missions, which is where I think the comparison to Witcher 3 is warranted. Sure, if you're trying to 100% it there are a lot of going around searching for artifacts and charms and stuff, but the actual 'tales' missions are all great and give the world and main story more depth.

    The combat is addictive and can be as varied as you make it. The further in the story I got the more I started experimenting with different combinations of ghost weapons, bow, and melee strikes, not to mention getting comfortable with switching stances meant I was taking on large groups and fighting each foe in a different way. I'm glad they didn't try to introduce magic or curses or something like that because it wouldn't have fit.

    Overall, if you're at all like me and like games that focus on story just as much as gameplay, you'll be hard pressed to find faults with GOT. In fact, I was literally trying to think of reasons to doc a point and give it a 9 until I realized how stupid and unfair that was. This is the kind of game that stands out from everything else you're playing, and will go down as an classic.    … Expand

    I thought it was boring first 10 hrs BUT it’s actually one of the best games I’ve ever played. I love Jin and the side characters, I LOVE Tsushima. The story might SEEM dull but once you level up and unlock new land to explore it becomes an absolute epic. I’ve spent at least 2 hrs so far in photo mode. It’s just the best samurai experience you could ever ask for.

    The gameplay and progression system is near on perfect, it doesn’t feel Grindy in any way, there is lots to unlock and achieve and the combat is fantastic, so varied it’s amazing from the one on one duels, stand offs, assassinations to out and out    Not often I’d give anything 10/10 but this is truly epic.

    Great game, really enjoyed the standoff mechanic, was also fun using stealth to tackle situations. It was a little annoying not being able to look at the map or use a menu after completing a mission whilst the end of mission animation was playing. Was also really confused why you couldn't hide bodies in a stealth game?! Otherwise an awesome game.

    What a game. The open world is so stunning, I sometimes found myself just roaming around in it not really doing to much. My only issue- and this is more of a nitpick in a otherwise phenomenal game- the sidequests feel a bit repetitive to me and I couldn't be bothered to finish all of them.

    Didnt play the original version. Unique setting, excellent graphics, interesting plot and good combat mechanics. Iki island part is also very good. But the gameplay itself is pretty monotonous. Also stealth is very simplified.

I felt that even on the hardest difficulty, combat was a bit too easy by the end of the main campaign. However, the boss fights were still very difficult and were downright impossible on that difficulty.Ghost of Tsushima is a gorgeous game with really nice combat, beautiful landscapes, and a really good story (parts of which had me tearing up). The game is just that fun. I’m hoping that the rumors of a sequel are true as this has been my favorite game on PS5 thus far.

    Most of the negative reviews are just people who bought the ps5 version after playing the ps4 version and were upset that there wasn’t much added. Anyone who has serious issues with the gameplay itself either doesn’t like RPGs or just has a very subjective opinion regarding the combat or graphics (graphics are extremely good in my opinion).    … Expand

    Well done update for a great game. Lots of new content is complemented by a ton of new gameplay elements. More content was missing from the basic game, otherwise there was nothing to complain about. And now everything is fine. Reason to buy Playstation 5 if you don't already have one.

    Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut has improved the graphic of the game greatly. The newly added Iki Island brings new stories and challenges, and further extended the story background. For players who have already cleared the game, playing the Director's Cut version is still an unforgettable experience.

    It’s more of a regular DLC paired with some improvements for the PS5 rather than a true director’s cut. However, the developers do deserve praise for how skillfully they inserted the expansion into the narrative of the base game. The story about Jin’s past and the sins of ancestors is great (as opposed to boring side quests), new enemies pose a challenge, and the game as a whole shines on PS5’s more powerful hardware. I wish the visual improvements were more noticeable though. [11/2021, p.31]
