    Desde FF X no me divertía tanto con la historia de un FF.
    El combate es muy dinámico y entretenido.
    Espero poder rejugarlo en un nivel con dificultad máxima.
    Por fin me he vuelto a enamorar de la saga.
    Lo estoy disfrutando tanto como disfruté FFIX y FF Tactics de psx cuando niño.
    Aún no lo termino, pero el viaje hasta ahora ha sido maravilloso.

    Great enjoyable play. Loved the story, and combat felt great as well. Although it took a bit of a turn from previous ff games it still has that classic final fantasy feel in my opinion

    well the story is great and combat is somewhat good and the graphics is top notch just wish it can expand even more or use it's party members like in FF7Remake where they utilize your party oh yeah and to combat this review bomb LOL

    However what’s outstanding of this production are in my opinion the story and art direction, absolutely astonishing. I can’t stop playing this game and Clive is a very nice main character.     Game can surprise you over and over again. Perfect balance between narrative and combat. You not gonna be annoying by combat at all. When I getting tired from battles game provided me story, and when I getting tired from the story it giving me combat.     Really smooth game difficult, you can un-wear rings to make it hard or wear it back to make it more casual.
    Storyline is solid and completed with all explanation about motivation of antagonists and protagonists.
    Boss battles are phenomenal, immersivity so deep and smooth that you can feel every movement you doing in game!

    One of the best visuals in games.
    Solid and completed story.

    Groundbreaking game, stunning graphics. Very rich environments. The combat is one of the best I've ever seen! This is a very moving,tragic and mature story. Told with brilliant cast of VA's and accompanying beautiful soundtrack from Soken Fully recommend

    This game revitalized my passion for video games. From start to finish it is an absolute marvel. The bosses, some of the best I've ever seen. The combat, exceptional. It's fast paced, responsive, and allows for a wide variety of playstyles and much room for skill expression.
    The story, great too. Though it does have some predictable twists and moments, all in all it's extremely solid.

    The story, great too. Though it does have some predictable twists and moments, all in all it's extremely solid.

    The visuals are extremely impressive, I've never witnessed another game as impressive in this department as FF16. Though that doesn't come without its drawbacks. As of the making of this review, frame rate drops are something that you just have to get used to unfortunately even in performance mode. If you are reading this in the future, please note that they have most likely patched this, however as of the first week of this games launch, this is a persistent issue. It's never been too jarring though, and in the worst cases it dropped to about 40fps for a second or two.

    And lastly, the music. It's just simply sublime. This game is a departure from classic final fantasy on many levels, but make no mistake, the spirit of final fantasy is ever present in this installment, maybe even stronger than the likes of FFXV and FFVII .

    On your journey, you'll fight alongside your party, facing off against foes ranging from simple goblins to gargantuan beings of godlike proportion. You'll find crystals to be a recurring theme, and yes, you can ride your very own chocobo. Or you can accept bounty requests from a moogle to earn a few gil? The choice is yours, but everything that makes final fantasy itself, is present in this game.

    This game is an absolutely gorgeous game with an incredible story to tell and a stupendously engaging battle system that continues to add fun battle mechanics as you progress. I seriously hate how petty people are and the fact that this game is getting 0/10 rating because it's a PS5 exclusive.     The world building and combat have been incredible! The story is gripping and the characters are compelling.

    The boss fights are awesome inspiring, they're so much fun and leave so much room for creativity and technicality.

    Final Fantasy XVI is an amazing game. Gameplay, visual, story, characters are all great.

    Apart from what everyone already covers, one thing not mentioned enough is how stunning the visual is, especially its use of raytracing and HDR (thus a good HDR display or TV will make a very different experience). The art direction of the game takes a more realistic style, the level of details in    Final Fantasy XVI is an amazing game. Gameplay, visual, story, characters are all great.

The art direction of the game takes a more realistic style, the level of details in environment, architecture, vegetation and clothing are simply incredible (which reminds me a lot the level seen in 2020 UE5 reveal). Raytracing and HDR make it even more believable. Horizon: Forbidden West is often considered one of the best graphics on PS5, but FFXVI arguably surpasses it as this a realistic modeling of the world is a lot harder to make and feel believable.

Too much toxicity, a majority of it, comes from a small green portion of gaming. They have nothing better to do

    +Game of the year type music that is varied, bombastic and subtle in places.
    +Active Time Lore - you can choose to use it or not.
    +Accessibility of combat for those wanting only story. - Choose to use the accessories or not.
    +Sandbox gameplay that makes all of the abilities useful in any fight with infinite combo potential limited only by your imagination and skill level. You choose your playstyle and can change it at any point without consequence.
    +Amazing boss battles that we haven't seen since God of War III and Asura's Wrath. Very few games had me say "Wow" or "Holy **** as this game has consistently.
    +/- Streamlined RPG elements that are hit for some and a miss for others. This re-enforces the change to combat.
    +/- Very simple side quests early on but by the middle and end are FANTASTIC and add to the main story and side characters. The side quests also level up your potions and open up more crafting abilities.
    +/-Inconsistent pacing for some but it was for me, moments where the game breaths and tries to let you soak in the environment and world.
    -Inconsistent frame rate and poor implementation of motion blur on Performance mode.
    +Very consistent Graphics mode where it does not detract from the gameplay.
    +New game plus with very hard encounters and new mob placements throughout the story.
    +Arcade mode for those that want to compare their actions skills with others.

    There are so many other little things that make this game great that people just gloss over.

    It's really sad that people are mistaking the developers' vision for this game with "bad game" design. It's perfectly fine to not like their choices, but it doesn't make the game objectively bad, only not your taste. I don't play the Zelda games because it's not my thing or preference but you would never see me rate it a 0 out of 10 because it's 30 fps barely an open world, with shalow story, etc. It's still a 10 out of 10 game for most.

    Judge this game for what it is and you will love it. Do not go in with any expectations. It is its own thing and I LOVE IT. The ambient NPC dialogue, the references to prior FF games, using voice actors from 14 in a very funny way (Estinien as a dragoon, and Urianges as the voice of the "traiter" in the prologue. There is a lot to love and this game objectively cannot be a 0 out of 10, that is just absurd.    … Expand

    Top 5 Final Fantasy for me. Has everything you could want in a final fantasy. Action has a lot of depth if you are wanting it but is easy enough to get by if your not into action games. Deep story and interesting twists and turns.

    The story and the world building is amazing.
    Combat is really fun and satisfying. Not too easy and not too hard.
    The Ost is incredible and fits very well to the universe.
    The active time lore is a very welcomed feature.

    This game has single handedly re-invigorated my love for the Final Fantasy franchise. Graphics are top tier, story is stellar, and the music is godlike. The combat is definitely the bread and butter of the entire experience and it never gets old. Weaving in and out of combos to find the right moment to lay into an enemy with your might is so much fun. When you unlock hunts later, the game truly demands that you hone your skills for some pretty intense battles.

    There has been some criticism with side quests; however, anyone stating that they are simple "fetch quests", has only ever played the first 3 side quests. The side quests in this game are great in introducing you to a cruel, bleak, and dark world. However, I would prefer if some of these quests were a little longer, in order to bring depth to some of these minor characters. Besides that the game hits 10's in all other departments.     Great story, awesome graphics, and really fun gameplay. Not for those that only like action and not watching cutscenes - there is quite a LOT of cutscenes. Husband prefers less story and more action, so he didn't play - but still loved watching the story while I did.

    I played FF I,II,IV,X,X-2,XIII,XIII-2,XIV,XV.

    15 hours in, GREAT story, GREAT combat. A truly wonderful FF game, must buy for any FF fan.

    DO NOT listen to the negative reviews, it is objectively A VERY GOOD GAME.

    Literally the best game quality I have seen in an extremely long time. I had no issues with the game except for the lack of “rpg” elements but it is meant to be an action game. Take it from me, if anyone is being negative about the game, they are just doing it to be negative. Enjoy the game!

My only gripe is Sony thought it would be a good idea to gimp a game again by making it a timed exclusive to PS5. I had to borrow my sons PS5 to play the game as I’m a a massive FF and YoshiP fan. I kept hearing people saying you can beat the game with one button, that's not entirely wrong; IF YOU'RE EQUIPPING THE SUPPORT RING! unequip the goddang ring then say it again! Some complaining the cutscene's too long, SKIP it and read it later, if you're to lazy to watch or read then it'sthis is not GOTY this is GOTL, game of the life...not sure how other game's gonna top this one lol.     Definitely the best FF game in a LONG time. It's also the best game in the past decade. It's a return to form of the absolute excellence the series was known for. Final Fantasy's triumphant return is here. It's up there with 7 and 10 as the greatest in the entire series.

    No podia esperar nada menos de Yoshi-P y la Creative Business Unit 3. Despues del trabajo que hicieron para convertir a Final Fantasy 14 en el mejor MMORPG de la actualidad, se lucieron ahora trayendonos FFXVI.     I haven’t been this invested and excited about a Final Fantasy game since Final Fantasy 10. Plenty of story the characters are awesome. The gameplay is really technical but you have to add the style and take your time to learn the system. I feel like people who play it and complain aren’t really playing it right. Besides that if you’re a final fantasy fan you will love this game! I haven’tI haven’t been this invested and excited about a Final Fantasy game since Final Fantasy 10.     An amazing game. GOTY quality. Amazing bad ass music. Heart felt and amazing story. And the combat is very fluid and very fun. Although on performance mode FPS can dip down and seems sluggish it hasn't ruined my playthrough and I love how expansive the story is.

    After playing Final Fantasy 15, I was worried about the direction 16 would go. Having just finished Final Fantasy 1-6 pixel remaster, the joy was back. 16 delivers where it needs to; amazing story, wild graphics, and engaging characters.

    I'm not a fan of classic RPG 's or Turn Based combat games. FF XVI brings amazing graphics with action combat mechanics I like. Only this and FF7 Remake made me play a game of the series. Even since the FF XVI demo was released, the experience have been really outstanding. Hoping to see more FF games like this in the future.

    Honestly this is the first final fantasy in forever I have loved. My favorites in the series (having played them all) my top is ff8 my second place is ff10. I'm playing ff16 stuck to it I love everything about the game it's a masterpiece and honestly might finally dethrone ff8 as my favorite in the series (haven't finished the game yet).     Overall I would give this game a 9.5. The story, combat and cut scenes are fantastic and I’m just absolutely addicted. I haven’t felt the urge to dive into an RPG like this since I beat the Witcher 3 years ago. Seriously, I took a week off work to play this game and it’s been a blast.

Clive is such a bad dads MC.

    Cons - I am totally fine with this game only being “semi” open world but I feel like the devs missed an opportunity to make exploration more rewarding. Traveling around the map to find 2 Gil can feel pretty lame. The lack of an on screen mini map can be cumbersome when looking for quest markers.

    Anyone giving this game a 0 has some other motive or agenda because there’s no way to justify it. Square hit the mark on this big time and every fan of RPGs should pick this up.    … Expand

It doesn’t require much strategy as older FF games but it requires different skillset. The eikon battles are the highlight of this game for me. Side quests - I know some are a bit lame but they are not pointless. It helps you grasp the situation and the story. It adds understanding of how they are treated as branded.

    All in all this is the best game I have played this year so far and best FF in a decade.    … Expand

    The combat in Final Fantasy 16 gives me a strong sense of exhilaration when I play well, and I'm satisfied. I like the story and the world view. There are some things that bother me, but more than that, it was a wonderful experience.

    A perfect blend of story, music and gameplay. The core of the FF game is still there, but the way it's being shown is slightly different.

    The action heavy battle system is a welcome change, because it has been implemented very well.

    Story is shocking and full of twists and turns, you can't predict what is going to happen next.

    The music is just epic.

    The best game I've played this year.

    After waiting almost 20 years for Square to produce a game that took my attention away from the real world and into a world of fantasy (ff10 being the last one) I'm happy to say that this has delivered. Yes if I could have it my own way I'd still be playing turn based and have a free roam world but I just need to accept that times have changed.

    Incroyable jeu, qui se fait review-bomb par une bande de puristes qui ne comprennent rien à ce qui fait un Final Fantasy. Graphismes époustouflants, musiques à s'éclater les tympans, gameplay méchamment nerveux et réactif. L'aventure est au rendez-vous avec une histoire prenante et pleine de bonnes surprises.
