Lmao IGN review is hypocrisy at it's finest. They complain that while story is good, it still feels like Valhalla and they give it 6/10. But when Elden Ring feels like Dark Souls 3, then that's completely fine? lmao. Good game, just avoid negative reviews i guess, especially IGN apparently.

In times where gaming is pretty much dying and bunch of gamers (hopefully it's minority) think that every game should have only Souls combat (because apparenly game is boring, if it doesn't take you 20 hours to fight one boss), i'm glad that there's still Ubisoft. Honestly without Ubisoft i might give up gaming and only come back when Rockstar releases something (and that's like once every 8 years). Capcom is always hit or miss and there really isn't much else. Maybe Dead Space remake delivers (hopefully), Days Gone was amazing, but didn't get a sequel, because it was an actual game and not enough movie. Sony movie games in general don't interest me, it's like playing interactive cutscenes. Ubisoft is only one of those companies who actually makes lots of games every year. Of course not all of them hit the mark, but ones that do, are great. This is one of the good ones. Expand

Only company that actually releases multiple games each year and each time certain type of "gamers" try to sht on them, while actually everyone buys their games anyway. I bet Ubisoft haters are those same losers who think that Elden Ring is most innovative game of all time, 2013 graphics and 2016 combat, "innovative at it's finest". Ubisoft at least tries.

One of the best settings we have ever seen in a Assassin's Creed game. The new gameplay abilities are a blast to use and are really fun. It runs great on the PS5 and is a absolute stunner in terms of graphics.
Bad- Combat still is janky just like the base game. The main characters in the expansion really are not that interesting to follow. Thoughts- It’s unfortunate that

    Thoughts-
It’s unfortunate that this expansion is held back a bit by main characters who are dry and the combat still suffers from the same nagging camera found in the base game. I would have really liked to have seen those elements brought up a few notches considering how much experience this team has with those things at this point. That said, Dawn of Ragnarök is a passably worthy expansion to Valhalla if nothing else. It feels like more of Valhalla but with a few twists, and that’s basically what any good expansion should be. It also helps that it’s willing to play around with some new ideas, despite not really leaning into that mentality as much as it probably should’ve.

Good game, doesn't reinvent the wheel, but as game reviewers have already stated, innovation is completely overrated and even unnecessary as Elden Ring got 95 on Metacritic by using the same animations and graphics from Dark Souls 3. So it's only fair, that Ubisoft doesn't really need to make completely new mechanics either, as Valhalla already was solid game. Tasteless Youtubers are once again attacking Ubisoft for simply existing, in other news, water is wet. I bet they would be so happy, if Ubisoft just disappeared, so they could play their Souls trash and Sony Movie Games until the end of times. Thank you Ubisoft for releasing another fun, entertaining video game, that doesn't have bosses that take 7 hours to beat. Maybe they should have made game that takes place in Sweden or Finland instead, if Modern Norwegians have so difficult time to appreciate work that was put into making this game.

At least these 800s Viking Norwegians in this game are very likable, sad that i can't say same about modern Norwegians, but i don't want to assume, i'm sure (hopefully) lots of Norwegians actually like this game and understand how they actually tried to make stuff authentic and while it's not perfect, it's good enough.

If it was up to me, i think they should go back to something that would be combination of Black Flag story/combat and Unity parkour. But i take Valhalla and Dawn of Ragnarok any day over AC 1. You shouldn't care at all what some youtubers think, you should decide what you like. Valhalla was great and this is also solid, best out of all expansions imo. So my advice for AC fans would be - Ignore negative youtubers and enjoy great games, easy. Expand

It's so funny to watch these Elden Ring fanboy Youtubers act like "oh look at steam numbers, look at steam numbers, Elden Ring is mainstream now, now everyone wants to play only Souls games". Jesus Christ. Obviously lots of people were baited into buying this game, because "apparently now everyone can play it", who cares that 80% can't even beat first boss, am i right? Just cause it sold over million copies means absolutely nothing. 80% will never beat the first boss, 90% will never complete the whole game or even half of it. This is not what mainstream means. GTA 5 is mainstream, because people keep playing. 80% who bought Elden Ring will figure out that it's not for them and quit. And then of course in same video they need to bash Ubisoft games as much as possible, they just can't help themselves lmao. Arguments like "all Ubisoft games are same" are especially hilarious now when Elden Ring is literally copy pasting other souls games, in open world setting.

By the way let's get this idiotic thing out of the way, no, all Ubisoft games are not the same, as much as you want it to be true, it's simply not true. Assassin's Creed, Watch Dogs and Ghost Recon Wildlands are not same games as much as Ubisoft hater would like them to be. Simply not true. They might share some similar elements, but overall they are all completely their own thing.

But in other hand, Elden Ring is literally re-using animations from 2016 video game. I have nothing against Youtubers giving their opinion about video games and whatever else. It's great. Just kind of sucks that lots of them have absolute trash taste in gaming, but it is what it is i guess. By the way that trash taste would be also complete fine, if they wouldn't be so butthurt over Ubisoft, that they need to sht on that company every moment possible. How about talk about games that are actually bad, like Just Cause 4? Fallout 76? AC Valhalla was solid, just deal with it okay. You don't need to trash this game, find something else.

This is a great installment in the already large Valhalla. People say they don't need fantasy, this is not AC, this should be included in the gamepass... I say this is an incredible expansion with enough content and new features to be sold separately. Kuddos for Dawn of Ragnarok!

Really enjoying dawn of ragnarok I think this series could have benefited from further support and future dlcs I think this game just got really good and then they stopped supporting it. This is probably the best dlc out of France and Ireland. Great combat awesome powers great scenery awesome story.

Dawn of Ragnarok is the perfect expansion for what the latest trilogy in the Assassin's Creed franchise set out to tell. With a fun new world to explore, new skills and, most importantly, a very well written story that should please longtime fans of the series.

Dawn of Ragnarok is a much better paced and written experience than vanilla AC Valhalla is, but suffers from the same gameplay and design problems, even with its better condensed and well thought out world and characters.
