For the love of god, 300 negative reviews and most of them are either 0's or 1's with short comment like "i'm a loser and hate new games without even trying them". I wish metacritic would FORCE people to show if they own a game and how long they have played it, before they can write actual review. JUST LIKE STEAM DOES. WD Legion is nothing special, but it's nowhere as bad as this userscore.

This game is really interesting and ironically it has nothing to do with actual game.

This feels like coordinated attack to bring this game down. First it's score was (for many days) 76 (on PC version) and then for whatever reason they lowered it to 74 (on PC version) just to hurt it's reputation. So according to metacritic logic "Total War Saga: Troy" is better game than watch dogs

It's also obvious that if youtuber "penguinz0" never made his hate video on this game, it would have pretty decent user score, but after his video went up his fanboys came to this site to bring this game down. He doesn't care that many people were waiting for this game or that people know the difference between GTA series and Watch_Dogs series. All "penguinz0" cares about is whining about Ubisoft as much as he can. It's sad that he is that way and it's sad that people like him have that much power to destroy great games, but that's the reality we live.

Deserves so much better user score and i don't understand why ps4 metascore is 70, while xbox one metascore FOR SAME GAME is 76, it's almost like they don't wanna promote ps4 version, because it takes sales away from their stupid spider-man. Watch_Dogs: Legion is perfectly fine game.

It's really classy that anyone can become your character. Yes, grandma and grandpa too! But mostly I traveled through London with my good friend Ji-hoon Jang! Maybe because he is also in IT, who knows?

By the way, virtual London looks very nice, so it will look even better on next-gen console. Futuristic London is a perfect setting and is still very recognizable. But that futuristic setting ensures that you can fly with a drone throughout London, for example!

Yet there is one downside to the game: no dogs! Missed opportunity, though!

Most of us have come to love and know Ubisoft as the people who do a decent open worlder. But we all knew before it was released Legion wouldn't be a classic and it certainly isn’t. I do love the play as anyone idea and every character is unique and different and with a different voice tone. The story well I haven’t really touched the surface so I’ll update later. The graphics are brilliant no frame rate drop for me and I have the slim PS4 with a full HD tv. But it’s quite simple. Getting around is pretty easy but one thing needed and a lot of is tech points and some of them aren’t accessible cos of game progress or I haven’t opened that part up, some are high up and so you need a parcel drone, not easy to come by but once you’ve hacked one, getting around the capital of London becomes a breeze, no where becomes inaccessible. The driving mechanics is very easy, each is a little different, definitely not GTA 5 but close. It’s almost GTA 5 the tech version. And London, oh London, looks stunning. Obviously being from the Midlands I don’t know every nut and cranny of London but Ubisoft have created a very dark London, most of which seems real and to scale. You can even go on the London eye and take pictures. I’m gonna say it, this game is surprisingly brilliant and fun. Not played it for many hours but I’m sure there’s more to come and I look forward to many more fun hours. Oh and by the way, don’t run anyone over and kill them cos after all, you can play as anyone including that old man you just run over. Not a classic but also not bad. And I’ve had one crash so far but I’m sure Ubisoft will continue to update and improve the gameplay and iron out those pesky bugs. Thanks Ubisoft. Expand

NEVER BUY an UBISOFT game on day 1. That is a RULE! bought for $40 just a week ago (Month from its release). UBISOFT quality has ALWAYS been shady, regarding its launches. It is a bummer it takes them almost a month if they care, to make the correct fixes. None of the bugs I encountered were terrible apart from 4 crashes the game had while I played the full campaign.

I waited for this game literally forever. The ambition of being able to recruit anyone is something I am impressed with this game, yes the skills of characters might be repetitive (BARELY) but each individual in the game seems and feels unique. I have tried to find 2 of the same people and until now havent been able to. I am amazed that all cutscenes involving your character and the way you customize him literally are exact and flawlessly even when zooming on to faces or body and their voice.

Even though you can be anyone and change characters frequently you dont feel that you are disconnected to them you feel the same as if you only had 1 protagonist that you can play with.

Visuals are more than impressive, the amount of details in the world are mind blowing, the colors, the visual effects. Having visited London on many occasions, it really captures the vibrance London has. Now the only thing I can say about the world is that they should have put the volume of the cars louder when driving and the atmospheric sound of the city louder as well. I sometimes feel that they sort of muted it down. I have to say the only bug I found with visuals was with color saturation (PS4 Standard version, I feel it is more of my consoles fault) they halfway fixed it with an update this week. (A month since the game released).

The story is fantastic, really entertaining. Wish there were more car variety in the game. I felt there were only like 15 types of cars so it felt repetitive. The amount of things you can do to carry and execute each mission doesnt make it quite repetitive as you might think. But yes most of the fame is hacking, but that is what watchdogs is.

I recommend this game to anyone who wants to have fun and enjoy being a stealthy assassin or just a maniac. This is a game about fun and the story does get a hold of you no matter what character you are playing with, Script felt good and entertaining. Wish NPCs could talk more and engage better, sometimes they felt too robotic, when encountered in the streets.

ALWAYS remember, never buy a game from ubisoft a full retail price or on the day it releases, Unfortunately even with delays, Ubisoft doesnt quite deliver a game without bugs.

It makes it so much fun to mess with people. That one time I tried to rescue a potential recruit's lover from the Kelly gang, the bad guys almost smoked that broad before I could get her out of there :). I am playing with Permadeath on, so losing operators , but that makes the game so edgy .... all those complaining about the game being dull ... come on , play with permanent death on from the start . It changes the game so much. Spider bot is great too, that in your face "Alien facehugger style" takedown... LOVE IT! Graphics wise I did not see this as spectacular, seems maybe a bit better that WatchDogs 2, but definitely not 2020 . But then I did not really notice the graphics after a bit. That said , i think there are things the Ubisoft could have fixed. I crashed a couple of times going back to the Main menu part. It did not seem to adversely affect my progress in the game. I think this kind of thing needs to be picked up in testing. I also think they should have launched with multiplayer ON :/ ... I mean in Dec I will be playing CyberPunk. All in all , great game , -3 points for bugs , +2 points for doing all this work during quarantine. Expand

Voice acting - from 3 to 8 (literally depends what character you have)
    Better than WD1? - No.
Standout aspects? - Recruit any npc you see on streets of London into your army.
Performance - Depends on your hardware, runs well enough with any RTX card, but needs some fps improvement.

Watch Dogs Legion's London is perfect place for hacking game. I would like to see some another European city in next watch dogs game instead of another US city. I have nothing against American cities, Chicago was cool, but i just love European architecture.

It's no GTA V, but it's solid open world London to chill around in, hack stuff, fly drones, drive cars, recruit npc's, explore London underground hidden areas. It's cool. Nothing special, but i would rather buy this than marvel's avengers, re3remake or dark pictures.

This game misses main character, i'm sorry to say that, but it does. I can't wait to see if anything improves when they release season pass with Aiden, but it must. I would absolutely love to free roam with Aiden in that city. I guess what i want is actual character focused story. Right now it almost feels like it's work in progress and they should have released Aiden day 1 as post-story content. Like if you finish main story, then you can play with Aiden basically, well they didn't do that and i can live with that, i just hope season pass delivers, i really do. And why am i so optimistic? Because at the same time, there's so much there. This city really looks beautiful, for example you can go on cargo drone and fly on top of almost any building (that isn't too high) and chill around there. Scenery is BEAUTIFUL. You can free roam around on these rooftops, explore them etc. But then i have some criticism against open world design choices, for example i was free roaming and i found this old train in middle of nowhere, Would have been so cool to go inside it and explore it, but you can't because it has no doors. It's not the end of the world, but little things like that could have been so much deeper. You can drive inside trams in WD1 and you can't even go inside old train? Just saying. But overall it's not trash, it's just not. It' might not be anyone's cup of tea and that's completely fine, giving it just zero is pathetic at best. I'll just be honest, driving sucks with mouse and keyboard, it actually felt better in WD1 and they need to fix this, i'm serious. Overall it has tons of potential, underground areas is nice idea as well. There's so much there and there's stuff that i can forgive, like i don't NEED to go inside old trains, it would be just cool, that's all i'm saying. Overall again, it's not trash, it's just not. It just need improvement and for the love of god it needs that season pass more than ever.

I support this because i really like this idea of open world hacking game. It just needs to be done right. There's two way it can go, they either improve this one with 1. MULTIPLAYER, 2. AIDEN PEARCE DLC STORY, 3. IMPROVE OVERALL GAME MECHANICS LIKE DRIVING. Either these or they just need to go all out with watch_dogs 4. They got London right, that's good. What they didn't is that this game feel way packed together, EVERY OPEN WORLD GAME NEEDS AREAS TO TAKE TIME DOWN, BREATHE. It has some on if and i'm glad it does, but i would like these kinds of games have some kind of forest area, nature area, just like watch_dogs 1 did. ANYTHING OUTSIDE THE CITY, ANYTHING, PLEASE. I absolutely don't care if real London don't have nature areas, PRETEND IT DOES, IT'S A VIDEO GAME. You can do whatever you want with it. Still i'm not giving up on it just yet, i really wanna see what they do with season pass and if Aiden's story is good enough. If they this right, this might actually be pretty decent hacking/open world game that takes place in London and that's actually (at least to me) very important aspect. I like London. I love it's architecture (yeah i'm history nerd, sue me). NPC recruitment is very unique idea BUT IT NEEDS MORE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, IT NEEDS MORE. Like i said, i'm still hopeful, would love to fly on cargo drones with Aiden Pearce and play his missions. Could be actually cool. Even tho i kinda trashed it, don't get me wrong, i still like this game. It's miles better than completely empty open world of mafia remake, i don't care if it focuses on story, if you have huge open world, do something with it. Watch_Dogs is at least doing something. And it's overall by any means more fun than Marvel's Avengers, these are not even comparable. I'm not saying these things AT ALL to trash other games, i'm just pointing out facts. My recommendation would be either wait for sale, wait for season pass or just take whatever this game has to offer right now. It's overall very promising and at times very fun. Expand

Watch Dogs: Legion is far from perfect. It tries to tell a story about resisting oppression via the power of the people, but the concept of making any character in the world a viable choice means that the experience ends up being too broad and vague. I was able to spice things up by bringing my own roleplay to characters and used items that weren’t necessary, but this was my way of compensating for the ways in which Watch Dogs: Legion falls short of what I want from a triple-A adventure.

What you’re left with is a game that delivers a greatlooking futuristic London, and not much of anything else. It suffered a hefty delay, and the series transitioned from Ubisoft Montreal to Ubisoft Toronto. Something has been lost here, and we can’t help but feel that the commitment to making any character playable is the core issue. That’s been made possible, but just because Ubisoft could, that didn’t mean the developer should have. [Issue#182, p.147]

Watch Dogs: Legion is undoubtedly the best of the series, the one that is closest to bringing the experience promised by that trailer of the first game. Hacks are useful and the lack of a fixed character ends up making DedSec the true protagonist and, since we recruit, control and manage the operators, in the end we end up feeling part of the resistance.
