The most disappointing series I've played up until now.
First game's nothing special to it and it's overall boring, the only interesting part was when Nathan said he didn't want to die for for a treasure.

Uncharted 3 however, is the best out of the three. Story's much more entertaining, the relationship between Nathan and Sully is much more explored and you get to care for them a little bit, which they use to make a certain scene more impacting. Gameplay feels more fun, although it looks really similar to the one on the last two games.
    I'd give Uncharted 1 a 6.1/10, Uncharted 2 a 6.4/10 and Uncharted 3 a 7/10
Expected more of the series, but I guess it's just not for me.

And of course the improvement of Naghty dog throughout the trilogy in the first game of the series we see practically a tomb raider generic with a promising cast but very basic still the story is cool and seeing the trio Nathan elena and sully for the first time is really fun anyway is a competent game a good start for a new series but nowadays it's worth more for its plot and for being part of the franchise.

In its continuation we see what for me is the best game of the uncharted 2 franchise is the perfect mix between fun cinematic moments is an intriguing story the leap in quality over the first is visible, here we find a more complex plot and a game technically more polished.

Finally, the third game of the series and the largest of the dtrilogy in scope uncharted 3 remains very beautiful in this remastered version we see more about the past of drake and we go around the world in another treasure hunt, although it drags a little longer than What is necessary is to lack a little of the charisma of its predecessor remains a great experience.

Finally the negatives, although the remastering left the games more polished, I found many bugs in the last game of the series and the boats stage was very difficult to play because it was going through the objects of the scene, also i missed the online mode of the games that were very fun , aside from these little problems for the price of a game you can get to know some of the best ps3 games and without a doubt some of the must fun.

Good story and cinematic, however, the gameplay is poor across all 3 games. Other than the story, at its core gameplay, it is an average third-person cover shooter at best. Spikes in difficulties between chapters, difficulties spikes in climbing, and shooting.

Uncharted (mostly uncharted 1 and 2) suffer from lazy writing/cutscene where the villain somehow got lucky and caught nathan therefore is heading to the same location as Nathan's next destination. (However, I don't care much about this, if the gameplay is good, so this is just a minor complain)

In uncharted 1, game play is very repetitively towards the end of the story, with core gameplay being exactly the same (shoot, run to cover to heal, shoot again), and the enemy is everywhere (Nathan just sneak into somewhere during the story cutscenes, the somehow the enemy knows he is there just to extend the gameplay). The story has poor pacing, too much shooting when I just want to progress the story.

Uncharted 2 has much better story progression pacing, combine with some of the cool levels (such as the train), I would say this is the best uncharted game.

Uncharted 3 has very annoying difficulties spikes, and large repetitive gameplay with little to no story progression for the sake of extending the game time (such as the ship level). Game mechanics such as the enemy with a shield is very annoying with the only real solution being grenades. And you get 2 pumped by a shot gun even on easy difficult settings. enemy often walk up behind me with no audio, and this game has no settings to change look sensitivity. So you just take a long time to turn around just to get 2 pumped by an AI with a shotgun on easy setting (you can get 2 pumped on all 3 uncharted game).

I have play many shooter game, thousands of hours in multiple FPS game, yet this is one of the most annoying experience I ever had in terms of gameplay.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Uncharted series was one of my favorites on the PS3, so going back to it I was surprised that it still holds up pretty well. There aren't a lot of changes made to the games, from 60 fps and 1080p, and better textures. It's nice though, don't get me wrong. Uncharted Drakes Fortune is the roughest for obvious reasons but it still plays well enough, and the story is fun and always keeps my attention with great interactions, from Drake, Sully, and Elena. Who remain to be likeable fun characters. Sully in particular is most flavorful. Upon using the story of Francis Drake, the 15th century pirate, the lost gold of El Dorado, and its curse. The villain's are forgettable but the three main characters carry the game through a fun Indiana Jones style story. Uncharted 2 is a better game to play, it adds new characters like Chloe and Flynn, who are great fun, as well as a more menacing villain in Lazarević. Based on Marco Polo's lost 13 ships I find this story far more interesting, with more locations and general improvements to the shooting and level variety. Uncharted 2 I still think is the best of these 3. Uncharted 3 is seen as not as good as 2, but I've always thought it was just as good, and better in some ways. It gives Drake and Sully a more fleshed out back story by letting you learn how they met and why they are so close. More based on Drake, how he grew up, and how he got his famous ring. The female antagonist in this game isn't on screen that much, however I feel that makes her more effective, and when she is there she it's impactful. Even though these games are around 10 years old they are still really great and interesting games with a lot of real history basis for the stories and fantastic characters. While a little campy at times. But are always fun and likeable! In addition, there are no microtransactions in any of these 3 games. Expand

The graphics are awesome for a PS4 collection, the overall game story is fascinating, the characters are memorable, and the gameplay (Shooter, stealth, etc.) is undoubtedly its best feature. I recommend it to everyone who loves games in general, especially third-person shooters, and with an intriguing story—totally worth the price. This is a must-play for all PS4/5 gamers.

When it comes to my opinion on individual games:
U1: 7/10; Good game and great game for its time. Interesting plot, great characters, good gameplays but it has many gameplay mechanics flaws as well as a few glitches. A must for the series, good for everyone. U2: 9.5/10; One of the best games of all time. Outstanding combination of fascinating story, memorable characters, romantic scenes, great graphics for its generation, and a outstanding gameplay. It literally nails what the first game couldn’t do with a very similar plot but amazing improvements.
U3: 8/10; Great game. Amazing graphics with noticeable gameplay improvements. Interesting story with the familiar characteristics of the franchise. I bet it’s a must play for all Uncharted-interested gamers. I gave it 9/10 because it doesn’t include the fourth game and maybe they could have added more bonuses (Like character models for view) or mini-games.

The Nathan Drake Collection is one of the most faithful definition of "remaster": the games are basically the same as the original PlayStation 3 versions, but with "1080p/60 frames per second" and little more. The only exception is the first Uncharted where it's clear how there has been a rehash with improved textures, especially faces and character models, and better graphics effects. ForThe Nathan Drake Collection is one of the most faithful definition of "remaster": the games are basically the same as the original PlayStation 3 versions, but with "1080p/60 frames per second" and little more. The only exception is the first Uncharted where it's clear how there has been a rehash with improved textures, especially faces and character models, and better graphics effects. For what matters, given the high graphic quality of the original games, you might need a magnifying glass to notice substantial differences, which on Uncharted 2 and Uncharted 3 are difficult to notice with the naked eye and without a direct comparison. Gameplay is exactly-the-same as the originals although the commands responsiveness and action flow benefits a lot from the 60 frames per second and come to mind that this is how they should have been played right from the start of their release back in the days.

However, if there is something that shouldn't have been added, that's the "BRUTAL" difficulty mode. Uncharted was already a demanding challenge at "CRUSHING" mode but for some reason Bluepoint thought of going further.

If in "CRUSHING" mode Nate has 50% less health/damage power and enemies deal double their damage, in "BRUTAL" mode, beside these, enemies also deal the double-of-the-double the damage. But they did not stop there: also ammunition drops were reduced to just pathetic quantities. Well-targeted headshots would be a mandatory technique, too bad that the enemies' mobility makes them basically impossible to hit to the head to kill them quickly and save ammunition.

In short, as most of players said, "BRUTAL" mode is just wrong: there was no need for it and it's badly done. I can't speak for others but personally I have no problems with third-person shooters: I finished much more basically difficult TPSs than Uncharted games, such as Spec Ops: The Line on "FUBAR" difficulty mode and also the Japanese incarnation of TPSs, Binary Domain, on "NO MERCY" difficulty mode. But those games, besides being a more extreme yet genuine challenge, were designed for those modes. Uncharted games were not designed for this "BRUTAL" mode, so it's a mistake to have it introduced. At least finishing the games in this mode it's not needed for the Platinum trophy, as the trophies for this mode are part of the "Extended Collection Trophies" separated group.

I wouldn't recommend The Nathan Drake Collection to people who, like me, already played all 3 games on PlayStation 3 – I got it because of Sony ‘Play At Home’ initiative in April 2020 during COVID-19 pandemic, which gave the collection for free.

However, in 2015, Naughty Dog estimated (somehow) that 80% of PlayStation 4 owners didn't play the Uncharted trilogy. So for those who are new to Uncharted, The Nathan Drake Collection is definitely recommended: you will play Nathan Drake's daring odyssey and story – and playing A Thief's End after playing the trilogy is better – but you will also play an important part of PlayStation 3's (hi)story and of a gaming era that, believe it or not, started 15 years ago and back then neither who played, nor who created, these games could tell for sure of the lasting impact they eventually had as of today.

I grabbed this collection at the beginning of quarantine for free, which seemed like a good deal. I remember being a kid, not having the PS3 and envying those who had, as I read in magazines that Uncharted was the Indiana Jones game everyone wanted, and Nathan Drake is the male Lara Croft. So I didn't have experiences with the games but I still had that nostalgia feeling when I started playing. Well... This game did not age well. Maybe back in 2007 the first instalment looked and felt fantastic, but today in 2020 it is awful. It's a pointless, brainless shooting game with annoying controls and lame puzzles.

    General positives:
    - great characters
    - funny dialogs
    - okayish story (it isn't necessary bad but it isn't good either)
    - can be quite challenging even on normal
    - quite good PS VITA remote play

    General negatives:
    - poor controls
    - brainless shootings
    - Nate vs 1000 people
    - mostly copy-paste. same stuff over and over again
    - i didn't like the supernatural aspect at all, i didn't feel it belongs to the seriess. treasure hunting is cool and stuff, but the weird creatures and curses are not.

    UNCHARTED: Drake's Fortune - 3/10

I played this mostly on my PS Vita in bed which was a good experience. You can set the controls to L1 and R1, so it's okay. The game is so dark there were moments I couldn't see anything, I had to turn off HDR on both the TV and PS4 and it still sucked. Controls are awful. Many times I fell off cliffs and buildings because it refused to do what I wanted to do. It was really annoying, I barely enjoyed the game all in all.

    UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves 5/10

I know this is a fan favorite but for me it seemed like a copy-paste. A bit improved controls but not great, but it was still dark in HDR. I hated the train scenes and the fact i had to climb it twice. I wanted to give this 4 out of 10 but I gave an extra point for Chloe.

    UNCHARTED 3: Drake's Deception 6/10

I liked this episode the most, and by 'like' I actually mean I kinda liked it. I liked the flashback, I liked that we could swim, ride a horse, and controls and graphics were much better overall. And the coolest thing is when Nate is fistfighting and grabs a dead fish and slaps the mofos in the face. Nate has X legs and runs like an idiot, though.

    Average 4.6/10 from me.
