Playing through for the first time back when they came out, there was nothing else like this - smooth playing fun, with massive set-pieces and witty banter - but I can't say that on reflection, and when played back-to-back, the games remain quite so sterling.

The first is a novel idea but functionally poor in almost every respect. The second game improves on the core design aspects, but once the veil of nostalgia is removed, it becomes obvious that it's a hodge-podge of lazy puzzles, inconsistent rules, and massive difficulty spikes. Enemies take between one and a dozen shots to kill depending on when the game decides it wants to change things, and there are at least half a dozen zones you'll get stuck reloading because of an influx of obscene one-shot kill enemies. The third game is a carbon copy of the second, but in the desert, with all the same problems.

Taking out the first-time thrill and adding a little age to the mix strips the series of its lustre. These games deserve an elevated place in history, and these remasters are of exceptional quality, but they offer diminishing returns on replaying.

In general it was a fun game, and since they are relatively short, you can do all the three games in a row.
PROS: Story is engaging, scenarios are delightful, and fights are fun, missions with vehicles too.
CONS: Platform areas felt too linear, almost impossible to fail.

The amount of work Bluepoint has done is unbelievable, all three games look stunning even by today's standards, especially UC3 which rivals most games released this year, while maintaining 60fps most of the time which is very impressive. The entire series has some of the most gorgeous locations I've ever experienced in gaming, you go from one beautiful area to the next, and best of all you get to parkour all over it!

The bread and butter of the series is third person shooting, puzzles and epic set pieces and my God are the set pieces epic, a few in particular left me speechless as I honestly couldn't believe how good they were, you just don't get anything like this from any other game (bar Tomb Raider which to be fair has it's own share of amazing set pieces, but at a much less stable frame rate and not quite at the level of the best the Uncharted series has to offer). As someone with a fear of heights some of the areas left me sweating bullets, the way the camera pans out at times makes everything feel so grandiose.

There are issues though, the combat feels a bit wonky at times with bullets not registering properly, especially headshots when the enemy is behind cover and the melee combat feels very underwhelming compared to newer titles like Mad Max which totally nailed it. My biggest gripe was the difficulty though, I always tend to play my games on normal so I get just enough challenge to keep it interesting without so much so that it gets frustrating but all three games fall a little short on this, they start off too easy and end up too hard in parts, unless you're an Uncharted vet you will die, often. I would have liked to see the game start a little harder but end a little easier, I would have enjoyed the series more had a few areas been toned a little.

Overall all three games are very good and well worth the purchase, especially if you've never played them on PS4. This collection for me is a high 8, it could have easily pushed itself to a 9 which is what I gave The Last of Us which to me was near perfection and also made by Naughty Dog.

The game play in my opinion is what really holds this game back, at least in the first 2 games from being a masterpiece. Some of the cover mechanics do not seem to be intuitive. This coming from a game that was released after Gears of War on Xbox 360 just didn't feel right with the cover. In the first game you cannot move on cover while aiming, and some cover in all 3 games have a break (IE 2 boxes not exactly side by side) where you cannot move between both boxes. A lot of walls are larger then the model appears making for a lot of invisible walls. One of the biggest issues I had while playing on a harder difficulty is when you clear out about 2-3 waves of dudes, another wave will come from where you entered the room/area. This happens multiple times making combat seem very repetitive and stale. The gun pallet is diverse but you'll find yourself only really having between 2-4 options throughout the game in any given area. Once you move into a new area, and a new weapon is introduced, the old one will not be available in that area (once you come across the m4, the ak-47 is no longer dropped by enemies.

The story and characters are what really hold up this game. Besides one of the people who you are trying to beat to the treasure in the second game, there is not a single badly written character, and really the only reason I did not like this person is because I did not know enough about them as to why they are doing what they are doing. There are a few plot drivers that I thought that didnt make sense, but it is an action video game not a drama so nothing too major to mention.

Drake and his band of misfits are so greatly acted. They introduce Cutter in Uncharted 3, and I have yet to see him in the new Uncharted 4 trailers but i hope they bring him back. Everyone did a great job with portraying each character.

Overall the game has a few shortcomings as far as cover and game play, but the story and characters are fantastic and are a great reason to play the game(s)

The Nathan Drake Collection is one of the most faithful definition of "remaster": the games are basically the same as the original PlayStation 3 versions, but with "1080p/60 frames per second" and little more. The only exception is the first Uncharted where it's clear how there has been a rehash with improved textures, especially faces and character models, and better graphics effects. ForThe Nathan Drake Collection is one of the most faithful definition of "remaster": the games are basically the same as the original PlayStation 3 versions, but with "1080p/60 frames per second" and little more. The only exception is the first Uncharted where it's clear how there has been a rehash with improved textures, especially faces and character models, and better graphics effects. For what matters, given the high graphic quality of the original games, you might need a magnifying glass to notice substantial differences, which on Uncharted 2 and Uncharted 3 are difficult to notice with the naked eye and without a direct comparison. Gameplay is exactly-the-same as the originals although the commands responsiveness and action flow benefits a lot from the 60 frames per second and come to mind that this is how they should have been played right from the start of their release back in the days.

However, if there is something that shouldn't have been added, that's the "BRUTAL" difficulty mode. Uncharted was already a demanding challenge at "CRUSHING" mode but for some reason Bluepoint thought of going further.

If in "CRUSHING" mode Nate has 50% less health/damage power and enemies deal double their damage, in "BRUTAL" mode, beside these, enemies also deal the double-of-the-double the damage. But they did not stop there: also ammunition drops were reduced to just pathetic quantities. Well-targeted headshots would be a mandatory technique, too bad that the enemies' mobility makes them basically impossible to hit to the head to kill them quickly and save ammunition.

In short, as most of players said, "BRUTAL" mode is just wrong: there was no need for it and it's badly done. I can't speak for others but personally I have no problems with third-person shooters: I finished much more basically difficult TPSs than Uncharted games, such as Spec Ops: The Line on "FUBAR" difficulty mode and also the Japanese incarnation of TPSs, Binary Domain, on "NO MERCY" difficulty mode. But those games, besides being a more extreme yet genuine challenge, were designed for those modes. Uncharted games were not designed for this "BRUTAL" mode, so it's a mistake to have it introduced. At least finishing the games in this mode it's not needed for the Platinum trophy, as the trophies for this mode are part of the "Extended Collection Trophies" separated group.

I wouldn't recommend The Nathan Drake Collection to people who, like me, already played all 3 games on PlayStation 3 – I got it because of Sony ‘Play At Home’ initiative in April 2020 during COVID-19 pandemic, which gave the collection for free.

However, in 2015, Naughty Dog estimated (somehow) that 80% of PlayStation 4 owners didn't play the Uncharted trilogy. So for those who are new to Uncharted, The Nathan Drake Collection is definitely recommended: you will play Nathan Drake's daring odyssey and story – and playing A Thief's End after playing the trilogy is better – but you will also play an important part of PlayStation 3's (hi)story and of a gaming era that, believe it or not, started 15 years ago and back then neither who played, nor who created, these games could tell for sure of the lasting impact they eventually had as of today.

Uncharted is one of my FAVORITE first party franchises on the playstation. They offer crazy, over the top action, amazing setpiece battles, and intriguing, fun stories with characters that make it feel all the more alive. I'm glad to say nothing has changed here, all the games are still wild rides from start to finish. (I will be addressing all the games in general, they are all fairly similar.

The uncharted trilogy follows treasure hunter Nathan Drake, his best friend/ father figure Victor Sullivan, and his girlfriend Elena, as they chase down different treasures from the clutches of a variety of different villains who somehow have endless armies of identical goons. There's definitely an Indiana Jones like aspect here, and i believe these games will appeal to fans of that series. throughout the game, you shoot enemies, mow down vehicles, jump, climb, and solve puzzles.

The combat is what takes up 99% of the games' play time, broken up by puzzles, vehicle sections, being rewarded with cutscenes furthering the plot. And the games are maybe a bit short on plot. The first one focuses on Drake and Co. hunting the gold of El Dorado. The second one focuses on Drake and Co. hunting for the city of Shambala. The third one is about Drake and Co. hunting some ring or something. Yeah,, the overall plots are similar, but the locales, setpieces, and characters are all vastly different in every game. The first one takes place in mostly jungles and ruins. The second one takes place in mostly temples and modern cities. The third one actually has quite the variety with it's locales. I do like this quite a bit.

The gameplay is tried and true third person shooting. You get a two weapon limit in your inventory. You pick up ammo, grenades, and swap out other weapons by looting bodies and finding them leaning against walls. This is almost always fun. But I have to say, all the games sorta drag and up the difficulty EXTREMELY in the 3rd quarter of the game, rejuvenating in the final few battles. This problem is especially apparent in 2, which i THINK is the longest one.

There are also puzzles. The puzzles are very challenging and make you think. These parts are quite a departure from the shooting, and it's much appreciated. It offers a nice change of pace for a few minutes. I really do like the puzzles. Then there's the turret and vehicle sections. Turret sections usually involve you on a truck, shooting other vehicles with a turret or missiles. These parts up the ante and you still feel excitement.

Remaster-wise, Uncharted 2/3 look great. The plane crash part in 3 is especially outstanding. Uncharted 1 however, doesn't really hold up that well. The Uncharted collection is a great way for people who have not experienced these great games to get all 3 at a great low price, just in time for Uncharted 4 next year. I do recommend it, and it earns my seal of approval.

I just finished Uncharted 1-3 and I'm surprised to have a love-hate relationship with them. The things they do well, they do SO well. The large action set-pieces, the details everywhere, the grand scale of the adventures you go on, and even the voice acting and excellent facial animations. Sometimes the acting is a little hokey, but i think that is intentional.

Then there were things that bothered me equally as much. The joke of a cover system and all the frustrating deaths they caused may have been the biggest. I believe they nailed the cover system with TLOU, and hope they never go back. The cheap setups for deaths was also incredibly frustrating. it's not good writing, or gaming for that matter, to walk out onto a bridge and be one-shot-killed by an RPG. There's numerous spots where you just have to know what's going to happen or do something very specifically, or you die. There were also small things too like fluctuating enemy health, grenade throwback not working, etc.

Overall, I believe I have a much more unbiased view than many people here. I'm not looking back on these games with rose colored glasses. There are issues with them, and they are NOT perfect games by any means. Ignore the 10/10 reviews .. but equally, ignore the 1/10 reviews as well! Both are very wrong. These games fall somewhere in the middle... however, the love that Naughty Dog puts into their games is VERY evident. These are REALLY good games that are GREAT at times. The opening of Uncharted 2 & 3 are, in my opinion, perfect. It's just too bad the quality seems to falter in certain areas that REALLY hurt the overall score.
    Uncharted 1 - 7/10
    Uncharted 2 - 8/10
    Uncharted 3 - 8.5/10

Genre: Cinematic Action Adventure, 3rd person cover shooter

    Review Date: 6/28/16
PS4’s Uncharted collection brings three games on board: Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, all of which were originally released on PS3. As someone who never played any of the three back in the PS3 era, this was not only a phenomenal value, but just a wonderful experience in general.

Naughty Dog really went full force in seeking to create a cinematic experience based in exotic backdrops with plenty of Indiana Jones style of grand adventure. These games are simply beautiful, and the camera mode allows you to document all the shining vistas, snowy peaks, and blazing sands. The games feel more like movies that cut away into puzzle solving, shootouts, or traversing these beautiful and often deadly landscapes. Throughout all three games, the majority of the gameplay involves third-person cover shooter mechanics.

The characters are enjoyable and well-written, if not a bit campy at times. Nathan Drake has a bit of a dry wit, and we see him evolve slowly over the three games as we learn more about his life and the strain that his adventures place on the relationships with the people he cares for.

UC1 is pretty basic and doesn’t quite hit the mark for being truly great, but it introduces the major characters and the building blocks for the franchise’s core mechanics. UC2 stands out as the best among the three, despite the fact that UC3’s mechanics and gunplay run silky smooth. Each game sees gameplay and mechanical improvements over the previous, but UC2’s story of the search for Shamballa and the snowy Tibetan backdrop feel the most epic in sight and scope. UC3 gives us a look at Drake’s past and feels more relevant to Nathans life as he searches for Sir Francis Drake’s legacy (Nathan claims to be a descendant of Sir Francis Drake, despite history claiming he had no heir) but suffers from some pacing problems. Some chapters in UC3 feel as if they were experimental or meant to simply add a fresh style of gameplay to the third installment, but these sequences last too long, and the sluggish gameplay creates a drop a in the high adventure motif.

One issue stands out to me in this series as a whole and it breaks the immersion if I think about it too much: the body count. Drake is a treasure hunter and takes part in plenty of illegal activity, always seeming to slip out of the hands of those on his tail, but throughout all three games, I estimate that the number of people that Nathan has killed to be over one thousand. That’s insane. There is no way that he could be able to get away with mass murder on that scale, even if most of them are pirates or ne’er-do-wells. THAT’S A HUGE TRAIL OF BODIES. I digress.

To sum it up real quick:
UC1 – Too basic with repetitive encounters, but still interesting
UC2 – Great story and improved gameplay
UC3 – Best of the three mechanically, but falls short in pacing

    Final conclusion:
A great way to spend about twenty hours across all three games, with plenty of reasons to come back to all three: trophies, harder difficulties, treasures, unlocking skins, etc.
If you didn’t play these on PS3, then this is a no brainer purchase, and it’s the perfect setup to grab the latest installment; Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

I can't really make a review of this game since every game is different, although the same. But i'll try my best.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune: First game in the series, I really like it but I have lots of problems with it. Don't get me wrong it's a good game but feels... different than the others. If I could give this a separate review, I would give it a 6/10. It's not a bad game but also not a bad one.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves: By far my favorite, I don't even know how many times I replayed the whole campaign. The game is perfect, whether it's the story, gameplay or even multiplayer, but i'll get into that later. The story is REALLY good and feels like a action movie. Can't really make a good short of the story, so i'll quote Nickeltoe from IMDB. "After being tracked down by Harry Flynn, Nathan Drake goes on a quest for Marco Polo' lost fleet. However when things take an unexpected turn for the worst, Drake must rely on those closest to him in order to find the Cintomani Stone". The gameplay is the best part of this game, most things are scripted, but even if they are, they are just perfect. The action is the main part here, from jumping on a going train and killing hundreds of enemies, to falling building that you have to escape from, it's just great. Shooting mechanics are pretty simple nothing much to say. Now let's talk a little about multiplayer. For some reason, it's not in the Collection, which is a bad thing in my opinion. I spent tons of hours in the multiplayer because of how good it was. Sure it had lots of DLC and was sometimes annoying, but I loved it and wanted to play more. But unfortunatly they didn't add this to the game and it lowers my overall review by 1 point. Game on PS3: 9/10 | PS4 Collection: 8/10 for lack of multiplayer.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception: I love this one. It's great in any way. Story, Gameplay and everything else is just perfect. Won't really talk about it long since it's basiclly upgraded Uncharted 2, but i'ts a great game and I recommend it to everyone. 9/10.

Overall review of the collection itself is 8. I didn't like how they deleted multiplayer, and changed nothing but the textures. Although it was a nice feeling coming back to this series after 4 years.

Just bought a PS4 and really enjoying the Uncharted Series for the first time. The set pieces, characters and story are great, but the shooting/enemy AI leave something to be desired. Difficulty is not hard so don't be afraid to bump it up high to get those trophies! Overall, lots of fun.

Scoring this collection is difficult. Uncharted 2 and 3 are easily 9.0's. But Uncharted: Drake's Fortune really does not age all that well. It's still a 7/10, but it does negatively impact the collection's overall score. And yes, I could've split this into three reviews on each games' page, but who has the time for that? So here's a quick review for each of the games.

It's still a 7/10, but it does negatively impact the collection's overall score. And yes, I could've split this into three reviews on each games' page, but who has the time for that? So here's a quick review for each of the games.

    Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
The roughest of the three games, with a slow first half and a great second half. I really enjoyed the self contained adventure on the island, and the linear progression that really makes it feel like you're playing a movie. While the other games in the series became globe trotting, large scale adventures, there is something charming about seeing one island change so much over your play through. It really becomes a character itself. The beginning half is kinda slow, and their aren't very many memorable moments as the later games, but overall, pretty solid.

    Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
Many fans' favorite Uncharted game (I don't get why people hate on Drake's Deception, but whatever), Uncharted 2 was the game that launched Uncharted into the stratosphere. With so many memorable moments (and puzzles. I hate these damn puzzles. They suck in all three of the games), it's hard not to recommend. The game starts in the same, tired jungle setting that you spent the entire game with in the first game, but the game quickly changes settings and brings you to many different environments. Uncharted 2 also introduces a couple new characters (Chloe and Cutter), that it swiftly abandons and never talks about again. Overall, a fun, memorable experience that ups the ante and brings Nathan Drake up to the level of Playstation icon.

    Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
Similar to Among Thieves in many ways fans were disappointed with the follow up to what was arguably PS3's best exclusive. I wasn't one of them. I really liked Uncharted 3. Yes, it does recycle some sections from two, but it also delves deeper then ever before into Nathan Drake's psyche. We learn more about his childhood and how he became who he is today. If Uncharted 2 took set pieces and pacing to a new level, Uncharted 3 brought story sections to a new level. Also the shipyard section **** rocks.

You should buy this collection. You get between 30 and 40 hours of pretty great story, set pieces, and gameplay. I'm two hours into Uncharted 4, and I think you have an obligation to play the previous games in the series before even touching A Thief's End.

I never had any desire to play Uncharted, to me it always looked like a playable movie and I have always thought in games game play is key. So it came as quite a surprise when I really enjoyed these games. The story is nothing special until 3, but the characters are so well realized. The experience benefits from being a game as it makes us relate to Nathan and become engrossed in the situation, so it really couldn't work as a movie without missing out on a large portion of it. The first game is enjoyable and is really just another action game. The second game is where the pacing and mechanics start to sharpen up to give a truly compelling experience. By three the game game play is quite good and the level design is great. It is also great to play a game where the levels are well designed and unique and skill as opposed to leveling is required to get through it. Uncharted really surprised me and opened my mind to what experiences games can offer beyond just Mario levels of game play joy. Uncharted is not without flaws though, some levels make the actions necessary unclear, sometimes the combat is wonky and unfocused, and some levels do not feel interactive enough. Even as a story based game the story feels quite thin until the third one and even at that the story is not revolutionary or a must see. Expand

The biggest downside of Uncharted is that it's a strictly linear game. You can't enter in a given combat from whatever side of the map you want (like Far Cry), that is, you just can't create different strategies to engage a group of enemies. Surely this is not the scope of Uncharted, but after playing games like Fallout, Skyrim or even Far Cry, you just hope for more open world games, that can offer much more liberty to make your own decisions and strategies. Unfortunately, Uncharted 1, 2 and 3 are just a linear games. I did not play Uncharted 4, but I hope the developers have added some open world characteristics. Bottom line, a more open world perspective would very much improve Uncharted games.

Another thing I really didn't like is that you have no liberty to interact with the environment at your own will, you can only interact with the things that the game lets you. For example, you can climb, but only in the specific walls and places determined by the game. There are places where you COULD climb, judging by the ability of the character, however, considering that these places are not designed by the game creators to be climbed, so you just can't. If you want to be creative and try to climb or jump in other places other than those designed by the game creators, to create a different paths or strategies, you just can't. This is VERY frustrating, it's as if you were following a script.

Despite of that, the overall quality of the game is outstanding, AAA grade, and definitely worth some hours of gameplay. Finally, it's important to note that after completion there is little reason to replay the games.

It is a worthy buy for anyone who has not played the Uncharted series ever and has gotten a PS4 that wants some good exclusives. It comes at a 60 FPS with updated visuals that make the adventures great to partake in and enjoy. The first game is the weakest of the three and the second and third will get huge bumps in quality as you go in order.

The biggest issues however lie in the multiplayer, which I argue is rather lame and a attempt to be like Gears of War for Playstation players. It just doesn't feel like it belongs in the games and is off putting for their place. Uncharted 1 goes through the same problems the original version had with numerous enemies and no variation that really strained its overall performance and some moments in the games can be tedious or boring (such as Nathan climbing a large thing for a few minutes). This does not mean the game collection overall is bad, but the critically acclaim the games receive are close, but not close enough for me to agree. It is definitely worth the buy though and should give you between 25-35 hours of story altogether.

The first game still holds up 13 years after it's initial release. Some aspects feel dated and primitive, particularly after playing it's sequel, but this is still an enjoyable introduction to Nathan Drake and his companions. The jet ski levels are a bit annoying but they're not too much of a blemish on an otherwise solid title.

Among Thieves is a marked improvement on the first Uncharted in a number of ways. It's a better looking, more exciting, and more interesting game that further establishes the IP - the Uncharted series really grows into its own in this one. It feels like a more confident and original game, with a stronger story that takes you through some good setpieces and ends on a very sweet note.

Drake's Deception is another great game. Rather than being another big improvement though, it's more of the same this time around, but that's not a bad thing. It has some amazing setpieces like the pirate section and the plane crash, and overall I'd say this might be the most cinematic of the three games. I liked briefly seeing young Nate and Sully in Drake's Deception. However, it's overall story may be a little too similar to that of its predecessor.

The actual gameplay across the three titles is quite uniform, although some elements feel much more basic in the first Uncharted. Each game blends combat, platforming and light puzzle solving to great effect. The combat is fun for the most part, and each game offers a different arsenal of weapons to use which keeps things different. Some enemies are annoyingly bullet spongey but on the whole the gunplay is enjoyable. The climbing sees some improvements in the second and third game where it looks much more stylish and dynamic than in the first.

On the whole, these are three great games that are well worth playing. Nathan Drake is a very likeable and charismatic character, and I love his companions too. Going on adventures to seek out treasure and lost cities was a blast, as you get to fight through some impressive locales. These are three well made action/adventure games that have heart and thrills aplenty.

    Uncharted 1: 80
    Uncharted 2: 90
    Uncharted 3: 85

The climbing and puzzles in this game is fun. The combat is also pretty good. The story of the first two is pretty good. The third one isn't as good as the first two.

Bluepoint did a really good job on Remastering the Trilogy, sadly there is no multiplayer included which is my main problem with the bundle, because i was hyped to see UC2 and UC3 multiplayer in 60fps and i'm kinda disappointed with that while UC4 multiplayer is just left dead by Naughty Dog without any Major Updates since 2017 and minor ones since 2019

Played the Uncharted trilogy for the first time ever, in 2020. While the gameplay itself can be simplistic and repetitive, all 3 games are structured as an incredibly-paced thrill ride from start to finish. The characters are so likeable, and the experience was truly a blast. This stuff holds up!

It was a great pleasure to play the great first three games of the Uncharted series which made its debut for PS3 on PS4. Drake's Fortune is average, Among Thieves is a legend, Drake's Deception is an excellent game.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It would probably be a 9/10 but all of these games are outdated, especially uncharted 1 and 2. And since I never played the games back when they released. It can be hard to appreciate and think about the time the released in. But still worth playing through as they are all amazing.

The graphics are improved and they seem pretty good.
I enjoyed every three of them.
Every game has its own story and I liked them all.
I like the fact that every one has its own story with the same characters.
Talking about characters I obviously like Nate but I like Sully and Elena too I mean I like them so much Sully is always there for Nate and Elena always shows up two and they are a good couple I hope they continue together in the fourth game.
The only thing I'm not a big fan of is that there are a lot of enemies whom look uncountable other than that every thing is awesome.
Generally It is a superb game and I like it so much (I'm a little bit confused should call it a game or three games Hahaha)

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Uncharted series was one of my favorites on the PS3, so going back to it I was surprised that it still holds up pretty well. There aren't a lot of changes made to the games, from 60 fps and 1080p, and better textures. It's nice though, don't get me wrong. Uncharted Drakes Fortune is the roughest for obvious reasons but it still plays well enough, and the story is fun and always keeps my attention with great interactions, from Drake, Sully, and Elena. Who remain to be likeable fun characters. Sully in particular is most flavorful. Upon using the story of Francis Drake, the 15th century pirate, the lost gold of El Dorado, and its curse. The villain's are forgettable but the three main characters carry the game through a fun Indiana Jones style story. Uncharted 2 is a better game to play, it adds new characters like Chloe and Flynn, who are great fun, as well as a more menacing villain in Lazarević. Based on Marco Polo's lost 13 ships I find this story far more interesting, with more locations and general improvements to the shooting and level variety. Uncharted 2 I still think is the best of these 3. Uncharted 3 is seen as not as good as 2, but I've always thought it was just as good, and better in some ways. It gives Drake and Sully a more fleshed out back story by letting you learn how they met and why they are so close. More based on Drake, how he grew up, and how he got his famous ring. The female antagonist in this game isn't on screen that much, however I feel that makes her more effective, and when she is there she it's impactful. Even though these games are around 10 years old they are still really great and interesting games with a lot of real history basis for the stories and fantastic characters. While a little campy at times. But are always fun and likeable! In addition, there are no microtransactions in any of these 3 games. Expand

I prefer Playstation due to their focus on narrative games. For scoring, I’ll be using the Gameinformer review scale and of coursed influenced by my personal opinions.

(8)Very Good. Innovative, but perhaps not the right choice for everyone. This score indicates that there are many good things to be had, but arguably so.

I went through Uncharted 1-3 before the release of Uncharted 4 all at once and glad I did because it helped me appreciate the Character building between the characters. If I hadn’t played through the old games, I don’t think I would have enjoyed Uncharted 4 as much as I did. These are solid games but I don’t think they deserve as much praise as they got. If this was more story, exploration, and puzzle focused it would have been better. Just the endless waves of enemies made it dull and makes it kind of unbelievable. You’re just competing to find the treasure from another group of treasure hunters with money. Set-pieces and were innovated ideas at the time.

Uncharted 2: Shooting and movement get a huge improvement, but I have similar issues with the games story. The small hints of camp were not enough to save the story from being completely forgettable. If it weren't for the improvements in gameplay, I feel safe saying the series would have imploded.
Uncharted 3: Genuinely great shooting and movement, finally feel like saying one of these games is worth playing because of it. The story does not fare any better than the first two, but at this point I'm not really expecting anything interesting to emerge from the soup of cliches and contrivances that this story is built out of.

Well Naughty Dog saw fit for a little boy to achieve his dream buy giving us this game to experience first hand where it all started with their globe trotting adventurer who one ups Lara Croft. The trilogy is well done. The controls do need some improvement especially with the first game and somehow the third game feels shorter with most enemies being bullet sponges but still it did not stop me from enjoying each and every segment.
