Just finished Uncharted 2 and all I can think Is; "Why haven't I played these before?". On to the review!
It's a really nice series, and I cannot wait to start the third one. I score this a solid 9, the reason why It wont get a 10, well, for me playing this so late, I can see a couple of flaws in the mechanics, nothing that makes the game less likeable to be played over and over though.

This remaster of the first 3 Uncharted Games is Amazing. I have never played the original on PS3 but always wanted to. Now with this Collection pack i was amazed at how great these games were. If you haven't played any of the first 3 games yet on PS3, make sure to pick this game up. I give this game a 10/10

    Yes, late to the party.

Just wanted to say these games are just too much overrated. Never played them before The Collection and can understand why they were such hits some years ago, but they just don't hold up to today's standards. If you're an avid gamer, you've probably by now played far better games that do about the same things but, well, better. In general, they're extremely

In general, they're extremely repetitive - kept expecting a change of pace in Drake's Fortune that never came about, only to realise the whole trilogy would follow the thread.

Story is mere excuse for the underwhelmingly basic gameplay: cover - shoot - cover - climb - repeat (and some scripted sequences here and there). As plain background, the plot is anything you would watch in a generic treasure-hunt movie from the 00's. Saving graces would be the nicely acted cutscenes and some of the dialogue, but even that with characters which in my opinion are annoying and unlikable (yes, talking about a PlayStation icon).

Most people praise Among Thieves as the best of the bunch, but it's the one that almost made me give up on the whole thing. Inexcusably long (each twentieth-something chapter that started made me sigh "seriously??"). Actually enjoyed Drake's Deception more for added variety in set pieces and presentation, and also some more investment in the storytelling department.

This is the kind of criticism I think these games deserve, in spite of the universal acclaim traditional to the franchise. Recommended only to check some boxes on the backlog - that is, if you haven't played them before and actually plan to.

One of the reasons i finally broke down and bought a playstation was to see all the fuss about Uncharted. Yeah for once the fuss was true. Nathan Drake and his band o merry cohorts make this one of the greatest collections of games ever assembled. The remasters PS4 versions are glorious and worth the buy. Top notch story telling, action gaming and incredible visuals add up to a masterpiece.

Three excellent games together and remastered. For anyone who not has ever had a playstation 3 is perfect. I would venture to say that they are 3 of the best games of the last years. Mandatory to play before Uncharted 4. I can say that it is the beginning and the middle of the best series of action / adventure video games to date.

Out of all the remastered collections, the Uncharted collection would seem like a pointless purchase, if you've already played them all. Yet all of Nate's adventures are worth more than one revisit, which makes this a great title to own. The updated visuals give the titles a clean look to go with newer TVs, is only an added bonus to the already great package you're getting.

If you're new to Uncharted or you want to show off a great game to someone who'd rather watch than play the game, this is it. Uncharted is the Indiana Jones of video games and never comes off as being too similar with the latter. These three games are a MUST PLAY, without question.

Gameplay is not that good but nothing actually offensive. Every time I felt the game was being stupid with difficulty spikes, its always been my own fault for not noticing something. Remaster is pretty good and writing is top notch.

Graphics sucks for PS4 but is good enough, and it does run 60.

The perfect collection or exactly what you want from a remaster. The last time I saw a collection this great was the Orange Box back in 2007. All three are fantastic games and truth be told, as a former Xbox 360 owner, I had no idea how good these games are.

The first game looks dated. The gameplay holds up but despite the gloss of a remaster, the backgrounds and textures scream last gen. The second game looks great, like a those games released in 2013 and 2014 that were on both PS4 and PS3. The third game looks fantastic. You can see how Naughty Dog was pushing the power of the PS3, and the remaster holds up well against current releases. Good design lasts.

Game play, as I mentioned, holds up well. Like most games released after Halo, Drake has regenerative health is limited to two weapons. He can also stick to cover which works well because this is a third person game. Unlike most shooters, Drake can dodge roll, climb, and jump to grab ledges. If you played the Tomb Raider reboot on the Xbox 360, then you know how this plays, because the Tomb Raider reboot is a straight rip-off of Uncharted only with terrible dialogue. The shooting can be challenging and each game ramps up the difficulty. I was playing on easy to breeze through the story and there were a few checkpoints I had trouble passing. The fights can get mean in a good way.

The real gem of the Uncharted games are the story and dialogue. Drake complains about all the things other video game heroes ignore such as getting wet, enemies constantly setting up ambushes, and falling terrain. He's funny. His A.I. companions are funny too and sometimes they manage to kill enemies. The set pieces are also gorgeous and unforgettable. Uncharted 2 perhaps has the best sequences, the train and the car chase. I recommend playing the games in order, as Naughty Dog ramps up everything with each game, and Uncharted 1 has some great sequences you should enjoy in context.

Finally, while the value of a game does not affect the score I give it, the Uncharted Collection is an incredible value. I picked it for $8 during a PSN sale but it usually retails for around $20. This is a no-brainer purchase.

The stories are quite good, nothing spectacular but serviceable with well-written characters.
The first uncharted had the weaker story, it felt the most generic with REALLY boring villains but the main characters were so likable that it kept me playing but the story in this game isn't really good.
The second uncharted game had a much better story, it doesn't tell the story in order making it intriguing, the characters were more interesting and this game had a much better villain.
And finally, the third uncharted game had a good story but it wasn't better than the second one, the characters didn't really develop and the villains would have been interesting if it wasn't for an antclimatic final boss and conclusion, it was better than the first game but it did left me a bit dissapointed.

The three games have the exact same gameplay but it does improve a little bit, the shooting mechanic is incredible in the second and third game (the first one had problems) and the cinematic moments make you feel like you are playing a movie and a very exiting one at that.

I really recommend this collection, having three great games in one package is really satisfying and the games thermselfs are entertaining and fun, buy it now.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (10/10) – A remarkable non-stop thrill ride with many unforgettable moments. With more variety in location, snappier gameplay and better story, this is the best game of the three for sure.

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception (9/10) – Another highly polished and stunning adventure with Nathan Drake. While the gameplay is just as good this time around, it's the messy and unfocussed story that prevents it from coming close to Uncharted 2.

It consists of the first 3 Uncharted games, starring Nathan Drake and a cast of very likeable supporting characters such as Helena and Sully. While the first game is the weaker of the trilogy, the other 2 are really great, especially Uncharted 2 (though I prefer Uncharted 3 for its expanded melee system and more mature story). These games are self-contained stories, there is no lore you have to keep up with, there is no grand mystery building up to the final game, so you can freely choose any of them to play and you won't have missed a thing.

Gameplay focuses on cover-based shooting, platforming, fist fights, treasure hunting along with many chases and over-the-top set-pieces that will absolutely WOW you. Music production is great, but the voice actors steal the show. This series launched Nathan Drake's voice actor Nolan North into stardom. Graphics are very pleasing to the eye, being a mix of realism and a bit of cartoon style. These games run at locked 60 fps and display at 1080p on PS4, with all of the assets having been re-worked by remaster specialists Bluepoint Studio. Graphics have become synonymous with Uncharted but then again, the whole group of characters along with protagonist Nathan Drake are what makes the series stand out.

The only complaint I have from the Nathan Drake Collection is the removal of the online modes of Uncharted 2 and 3. These were great fun on PS3 and it's a disappointment they weren't included in the disc due to space constraints (or Sony want to shut Uncharted 2/3 servers down at some point). One Uncharted 2 map has been remastered and included for free in Uncharted 4's online mode as fan service. That's better than nothing, but still the missing online modes should be rescued one way or another.

I strongly recommend this collection to any gamer who likes story-based action adventure games with high production values and strong characters.

It is a worthy buy for anyone who has not played the Uncharted series ever and has gotten a PS4 that wants some good exclusives. It comes at a 60 FPS with updated visuals that make the adventures great to partake in and enjoy. The first game is the weakest of the three and the second and third will get huge bumps in quality as you go in order.

The biggest issues however lie in the multiplayer, which I argue is rather lame and a attempt to be like Gears of War for Playstation players. It just doesn't feel like it belongs in the games and is off putting for their place. Uncharted 1 goes through the same problems the original version had with numerous enemies and no variation that really strained its overall performance and some moments in the games can be tedious or boring (such as Nathan climbing a large thing for a few minutes). This does not mean the game collection overall is bad, but the critically acclaim the games receive are close, but not close enough for me to agree. It is definitely worth the buy though and should give you between 25-35 hours of story altogether.

I just finished Uncharted 1-3 and I'm surprised to have a love-hate relationship with them. The things they do well, they do SO well. The large action set-pieces, the details everywhere, the grand scale of the adventures you go on, and even the voice acting and excellent facial animations. Sometimes the acting is a little hokey, but i think that is intentional.

Then there were things that bothered me equally as much. The joke of a cover system and all the frustrating deaths they caused may have been the biggest. I believe they nailed the cover system with TLOU, and hope they never go back. The cheap setups for deaths was also incredibly frustrating. it's not good writing, or gaming for that matter, to walk out onto a bridge and be one-shot-killed by an RPG. There's numerous spots where you just have to know what's going to happen or do something very specifically, or you die. There were also small things too like fluctuating enemy health, grenade throwback not working, etc.

Overall, I believe I have a much more unbiased view than many people here. I'm not looking back on these games with rose colored glasses. There are issues with them, and they are NOT perfect games by any means. Ignore the 10/10 reviews .. but equally, ignore the 1/10 reviews as well! Both are very wrong. These games fall somewhere in the middle... however, the love that Naughty Dog puts into their games is VERY evident. These are REALLY good games that are GREAT at times. The opening of Uncharted 2 & 3 are, in my opinion, perfect. It's just too bad the quality seems to falter in certain areas that REALLY hurt the overall score.

    - Despite all the claims to the contrary, the characters and stories throughout all three games feel incredibly weak. Drake's Fortune literally doesn't have an interesting/nuanced character interaction until the last 2 minutes before the ending credits. A lot of the relationships are simply told to the player, having taken place between games, rather than organically evolving on screen for the player to experience.
    - Despite improving on each installment, the combat is a massive downfall of all three games, never succeeding at feeling like a strong or compelling third-person shooter, but taking up so much of the gameplay time that such a weak showing cannot go unacknowledged.

Now about Uncharted 2... the one thing that ruined this package from being complete was no online. Uncharted 2 has the best online hands down where it took 1-4 shots to kill someone and no one was for some reason a walking tank that took hits like a darn robot.
Unfortunately this can't get a 10 for missing content like Uncharted 2's online. The most balanced and fair game when it came to that.

I only managed to finish(and enjoy) the second game, UC1 and UC3 I gave up half-way, because they are so boring. The only redeeming qualities are the environments/settings and the protagonist.

If I can give a separate score for each game:

The biggest downside of Uncharted is that it's a strictly linear game. You can't enter in a given combat from whatever side of the map you want (like Far Cry), that is, you just can't create different strategies to engage a group of enemies. Surely this is not the scope of Uncharted, but after playing games like Fallout, Skyrim or even Far Cry, you just hope for more open world games, that can offer much more liberty to make your own decisions and strategies. Unfortunately, Uncharted 1, 2 and 3 are just a linear games. I did not play Uncharted 4, but I hope the developers have added some open world characteristics. Bottom line, a more open world perspective would very much improve Uncharted games.

Another thing I really didn't like is that you have no liberty to interact with the environment at your own will, you can only interact with the things that the game lets you. For example, you can climb, but only in the specific walls and places determined by the game. There are places where you COULD climb, judging by the ability of the character, however, considering that these places are not designed by the game creators to be climbed, so you just can't. If you want to be creative and try to climb or jump in other places other than those designed by the game creators, to create a different paths or strategies, you just can't. This is VERY frustrating, it's as if you were following a script.

Despite of that, the overall quality of the game is outstanding, AAA grade, and definitely worth some hours of gameplay. Finally, it's important to note that after completion there is little reason to replay the games.

    Review Date: 6/28/16
PS4’s Uncharted collection brings three games on board: Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, all of which were originally released on PS3. As someone who never played any of the three back in the PS3 era, this was not only a phenomenal value, but just a wonderful experience in general.

Naughty Dog really went full force in seeking to create a cinematic experience based in exotic backdrops with plenty of Indiana Jones style of grand adventure. These games are simply beautiful, and the camera mode allows you to document all the shining vistas, snowy peaks, and blazing sands. The games feel more like movies that cut away into puzzle solving, shootouts, or traversing these beautiful and often deadly landscapes. Throughout all three games, the majority of the gameplay involves third-person cover shooter mechanics.

The characters are enjoyable and well-written, if not a bit campy at times. Nathan Drake has a bit of a dry wit, and we see him evolve slowly over the three games as we learn more about his life and the strain that his adventures place on the relationships with the people he cares for.

UC1 is pretty basic and doesn’t quite hit the mark for being truly great, but it introduces the major characters and the building blocks for the franchise’s core mechanics. UC2 stands out as the best among the three, despite the fact that UC3’s mechanics and gunplay run silky smooth. Each game sees gameplay and mechanical improvements over the previous, but UC2’s story of the search for Shamballa and the snowy Tibetan backdrop feel the most epic in sight and scope. UC3 gives us a look at Drake’s past and feels more relevant to Nathans life as he searches for Sir Francis Drake’s legacy (Nathan claims to be a descendant of Sir Francis Drake, despite history claiming he had no heir) but suffers from some pacing problems. Some chapters in UC3 feel as if they were experimental or meant to simply add a fresh style of gameplay to the third installment, but these sequences last too long, and the sluggish gameplay creates a drop a in the high adventure motif.

One issue stands out to me in this series as a whole and it breaks the immersion if I think about it too much: the body count. Drake is a treasure hunter and takes part in plenty of illegal activity, always seeming to slip out of the hands of those on his tail, but throughout all three games, I estimate that the number of people that Nathan has killed to be over one thousand. That’s insane. There is no way that he could be able to get away with mass murder on that scale, even if most of them are pirates or ne’er-do-wells. THAT’S A HUGE TRAIL OF BODIES. I digress.

To sum it up real quick:
UC1 – Too basic with repetitive encounters, but still interesting
UC2 – Great story and improved gameplay
UC3 – Best of the three mechanically, but falls short in pacing

    Final conclusion:
A great way to spend about twenty hours across all three games, with plenty of reasons to come back to all three: trophies, harder difficulties, treasures, unlocking skins, etc.
If you didn’t play these on PS3, then this is a no brainer purchase, and it’s the perfect setup to grab the latest installment; Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

Scoring this collection is difficult. Uncharted 2 and 3 are easily 9.0's. But Uncharted: Drake's Fortune really does not age all that well. It's still a 7/10, but it does negatively impact the collection's overall score. And yes, I could've split this into three reviews on each games' page, but who has the time for that? So here's a quick review for each of the games.

So here's a quick review for each of the games.

    Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
The roughest of the three games, with a slow first half and a great second half. I really enjoyed the self contained adventure on the island, and the linear progression that really makes it feel like you're playing a movie. While the other games in the series became globe trotting, large scale adventures, there is something charming about seeing one island change so much over your play through. It really becomes a character itself. The beginning half is kinda slow, and their aren't very many memorable moments as the later games, but overall, pretty solid.

    Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
Many fans' favorite Uncharted game (I don't get why people hate on Drake's Deception, but whatever), Uncharted 2 was the game that launched Uncharted into the stratosphere. With so many memorable moments (and puzzles. I hate these damn puzzles. They suck in all three of the games), it's hard not to recommend. The game starts in the same, tired jungle setting that you spent the entire game with in the first game, but the game quickly changes settings and brings you to many different environments. Uncharted 2 also introduces a couple new characters (Chloe and Cutter), that it swiftly abandons and never talks about again. Overall, a fun, memorable experience that ups the ante and brings Nathan Drake up to the level of Playstation icon.

    Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
Similar to Among Thieves in many ways fans were disappointed with the follow up to what was arguably PS3's best exclusive. I wasn't one of them. I really liked Uncharted 3. Yes, it does recycle some sections from two, but it also delves deeper then ever before into Nathan Drake's psyche. We learn more about his childhood and how he became who he is today. If Uncharted 2 took set pieces and pacing to a new level, Uncharted 3 brought story sections to a new level. Also the shipyard section **** rocks.

You should buy this collection. You get between 30 and 40 hours of pretty great story, set pieces, and gameplay. I'm two hours into Uncharted 4, and I think you have an obligation to play the previous games in the series before even touching A Thief's End.

So it came as quite a surprise when I really enjoyed these games. The story is nothing special until 3, but the characters are so well realized. The experience benefits from being a game as it makes us relate to Nathan and become engrossed in the situation, so it really couldn't work as a movie without missing out on a large portion of it. The first game is enjoyable and is really just another action game. The second game is where the pacing and mechanics start to sharpen up to give a truly compelling experience. By three the game game play is quite good and the level design is great. It is also great to play a game where the levels are well designed and unique and skill as opposed to leveling is required to get through it. Uncharted really surprised me and opened my mind to what experiences games can offer beyond just Mario levels of game play joy. Uncharted is not without flaws though, some levels make the actions necessary unclear, sometimes the combat is wonky and unfocused, and some levels do not feel interactive enough. Even as a story based game the story feels quite thin until the third one and even at that the story is not revolutionary or a must see. Expand

Drake's Fortune is a little dated, Uncharted 2 still has an incredible story, and Uncharted 3 still has a very intense and unique story and still looked incredible on the PS4 even though it was released 2011. These games are incredible and the release of Uncharted 4 will be very emotional for me. Expand

In general it was a fun game, and since they are relatively short, you can do all the three games in a row.
PROS: Story is engaging, scenarios are delightful, and fights are fun, missions with vehicles too.
CONS: Platform areas felt too linear, almost impossible to fail.

Uncharted is one of the greatest gaming franchises ever created. The characters, story, gameplay, graphics, environments, etc, everything is crafted to perfection. These games are absolute must-plays for all PS4 gamers. This is the perfect time to play them with Uncharted 4 only a month away from release.

I want to give it a 10/10 but I can't. There are times when I am playing Uncharted 2 when I fell that Drake looked better on the PS3 version of the game and that makes me cringe every time I watch a cut scene. But still all 3 games are amazing enough to get the platinum trophy from them each...twice. Well worth the purchase, now lets hope that the PS5 has backwards compatibility.

This is truly the most overrated collection of games. If you're considering getting a PS4 just for this as some would suggest, do not do it. You can play Rise of the Tomb Raider on Xbox One right now and it is a MUCH better game than any of these. Save yourself the cash.

First of all, the voice acting in the three games is the best voice acting I have heard from a video game. Hands down. Nathan Drake is hilarious, Chloe is flirtatious and a great companion, and Sully is the old, wise but cool mentor to Drake. The stories throughout the trilogy are interesting and memorable, and I was captured to see what happened next.

However, I did feel like I was on a track with no exploration available. And in a game that is about exploring, this was disappointing. I didn't expect a huge open world, but just something other than a straight line that I had to walk down to shoot guys that they put in front of me. I had to play the game on the hardest difficulty because otherwise it felt like the game was playing itself.

I do recommend this remaster to people who have not played the trilogy like myself, as I did have a lot of fun with it. But if you expect it to change the way you look at video games as a whole, then lower your expectations a tad.

Sure, Gears of War where you only get one game for that money and is the most generic shooter ever built is better (I'm being sarcastic and yes, I own an X1 that came with that game- wish it had been physical so I could have traded it in) and Rare Replay with a dozen games you never wanted to get the one that you did with very little upgrades to the graphics or gameplay and annoying borders on the screen. Such a deal!! Again, sarcasm. Uncharted has never been about the multiplayer, it was tacked on at best and only gained a cult following in 3. Multiplayer in almost every game is highly overrated. Babies who whine about it not being in every single game ever released need to recognize that the rest of us have grown up and recognized what a repetitive slog most MO games are. But if you need to run around the same maps over and over shooting people in the face to good about yourself, that's your problem not ours. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I never got around to playing the original Uncharted games on PS3. Since I never owned one.

The Uncharted games are probably my favourite series of all time since I picked up the collection on Day 1.
The humor, the action, the voice acting. Atleast 90% of the games' cutscenes have humor and action in them. From hanging off a train in the Nepal mountains. To hanging of a plane above the Rub' al Khali desert. The story in all 3 games are amazing.

I really don't have anything else to say about the games. Except the shooting and level design is great and some of the best I've seen (Don't listen to the XBOX fanboys saying the shooting is trash). Oh, and the games beautifully run at 1080p 60fps.

If you own a PS4, I 100% recommend this collection.

Pretty, decent storyline, generic shooting mechanics... and thats about it.
Common console game with nothing that is actually new and exciting. Generic shooter games where your worst enemy is the terrain. Everything looks nice which leads to a problem where you can't see which parts of the world are for gameplay and which are not.
Decent but not really that good. PS. While writing this,

The menu for the game makes it very easy to switch between all 3 games without forcing you to close out of the app all together and relaunching it. You can at any time switch to a different game if you were wanting to play either of the other 2 games.

The game play in my opinion is what really holds this game back, at least in the first 2 games from being a masterpiece. Some of the cover mechanics do not seem to be intuitive. This coming from a game that was released after Gears of War on Xbox 360 just didn't feel right with the cover. In the first game you cannot move on cover while aiming, and some cover in all 3 games have a break (IE 2 boxes not exactly side by side) where you cannot move between both boxes. A lot of walls are larger then the model appears making for a lot of invisible walls. One of the biggest issues I had while playing on a harder difficulty is when you clear out about 2-3 waves of dudes, another wave will come from where you entered the room/area. This happens multiple times making combat seem very repetitive and stale. The gun pallet is diverse but you'll find yourself only really having between 2-4 options throughout the game in any given area. Once you move into a new area, and a new weapon is introduced, the old one will not be available in that area (once you come across the m4, the ak-47 is no longer dropped by enemies.

The story and characters are what really hold up this game. Besides one of the people who you are trying to beat to the treasure in the second game, there is not a single badly written character, and really the only reason I did not like this person is because I did not know enough about them as to why they are doing what they are doing. There are a few plot drivers that I thought that didnt make sense, but it is an action video game not a drama so nothing too major to mention.

Drake and his band of misfits are so greatly acted. They introduce Cutter in Uncharted 3, and I have yet to see him in the new Uncharted 4 trailers but i hope they bring him back. Everyone did a great job with portraying each character.

Overall the game has a few shortcomings as far as cover and game play, but the story and characters are fantastic and are a great reason to play the game(s)

Those games didn't age well. In all of those 3 games the gameplay fell outdated, and you will realize you just played better mechanism elsewhere.

Uncharted 1 is really hard to swallow these days. The game has some good stuff in its story, but the game is ruined by bad pacing: some easy-going platform gameplay, intercalary by never ending boring gun fights with pretty bad gameplay.

Uncharted 2 and 3 are improvements, but all of those games are linear and feature the same "find the path" core gameplay. The escalation gameplay is not as fluid as in Assassins Creed's game or like Shadows of Mordor. Its impossible to not get frustrated with stealth mechanism, If you played MGSV or any AC's game. Gunplay is improved but not enough to hide the age of those games. Hard fights is just bad. Uncharted 3 feature parhaps the most boring oppening act of any AAA game released in past 10 years.

Story is not particulary special. Nathan is the typical guy who is not looking for trouble, but the trouble always find him, and he keeps making Joker while his life is in danger. While many people believe Uncharted and Nathan were inspires by Indiana Jones movies and Harrison Ford, the whole thing end up sounding more like The Mummy and Brendan Fraser.
