    As a TLOU fan I can only be disappointed. And angry. For me it is a ZERO. A zero because it has thrown to the ground all my illusions accumulated since the announcement of the game. A zero because the experience of playing has been unpleasant in all narrative aspects. I have not enjoyed the game. Nor of history. A zero because the experience of playing has been unpleasant in all narrative aspects. I have not enjoyed the game. Nor of history. A game created to please the popular "collectives". But a game should not be politicized. For the harsh reality we already have life itself.

    +5 years waiting for the sequel and when they give it to you they destroy it at the very beginning of the game, forcing you to play with a hated character and offering you an unsatisfactory ending. They could have made a decent game with SpinOffs, but no, they have had to tear apart the most beloved characters in favor of politicized criticism. There is no more to see the criticism of the "specialized" press compared to the criticism of the users. At first I thought that these negative reviews were due to "Fans" who wanted to burst the note, since with so little time it was impossible to rate the game. But I was wrong. With 2 hours of game you can already rate it with a suspense if you are one of those who loved the characters in the first part. The game has a sublime story, yes, worthy of a movie "blah blah blah", but now you can forget about enjoying all your favorite characters from the first part. EVERYONE. In short, **** that big.

    I also feel SCAMED, since in the trailers they trick you into thinking that you are going to play with some characters and then you discover that in the game those same scenes have the characters changed. I have bought a game that has misleading advertising and that should be legally punished so that it is not repeated in the future.

    € 70 thrown away. For me TLOU2 does not exist. The story ends at the end of TLOU1.

    For all these reasons, my grade is ZERO.

    Como fan de TLOU solo puedo sentirme decepcionado. Y enfadado.

    Para mí es un CERO. Un cero porque ha tirado por tierra todas mi ilusiones acumuladas desde el anuncio del juego. Un cero porque la experiencia jugando ha sido desagradable en todos los aspectos narrativos. No he disfrutado del juego. Ni tampoco de la historia. Un juego creado para contentar a los "colectivos" reivindicativos populares. Pero un juego no debería politizarse. Para la cruda realidad ya tenemos la vida misma.

    +5 años esperando la secuela y cuando te la dan te la destrozan al inicio mismo del juego, obligándote a jugar con un personaje odiado y ofreciéndote un final insatisfactorio. Podrían haber hecho un juego digno con SpinOffs, pero no, han tenido que destrozar los personajes más queridos en favor de las críticas politizadas. No hay más que ver las críticas de la prensa "especializada" en comparación con las críticas de los usuarios. Al principio pensé que dichas críticas negativas se debían a "Fanáticos" que querían reventar la nota, ya que con tan poco tiempo era imposible valorar el juego. Pero me equivoqué. Con 2 horas de juego ya puedes calificarlo con un suspenso si eres de los que adoraban los personajes de la primera parte. El juego tiene una historia sublime, sí, digno de película "bla bla bla", pero ya te puedes ir olvidando de disfrutar de todos tus personajes preferidos de la primera parte. TODOS. En resumen, una mierda así de grande.

    Además me siento ESTAFADO, ya que en los trailers te engañan para que pienses que vas a jugar con unos personajes y luego descubres que en el juego esas mismas escenas tiene los personajes cambiados. Me he comprado un juego que tiene publicidad engañosa y eso debería ser penado legalmente para que no se repita en el futuro.

    70€ tirados a la basura. Para mi TLOU2 no existe. La historia termina en el final de TLOU1.

    -False advertising in trailers.
    -Unsatisfying ending that makes everything that happened in the story worthless.
    -Playing as a character that the game makes you hate for like 10 hours.
    -Killing loved characters from the first game illogically for shock value.
    -Most of the game is a walking simulator with cringy dialogue.
    -Uncomfortable Cut scenes that get shoved down your throat to remind you of the character's sexuality.
    -Fans waited 7 years to play as a character that was killed in the first 2 hours

    In conclusion:Worst game of the decade,only buy it if you want to waste money.    … Expand

En la primera hora de juego matan al protagonista de la entrega, por un personaje metido con calzador del que más tarde hablaremos. La parte de Ellie, desde mi punto de vista, tiene momentos tanto buenos como malos, siendo en su mayoría buenos. Hasta que llegamos al final del juego donde todo lo bueno se pierde en una decisión estúpida. Has recorrido medio país, no solo para no completar la venganza, si no que has terminado peor de como empezaste. Has matado ha todo dios excepto a la persona a la que juraste matar?? WTF??? Me estas diciendo que en el último puto momento y después de haber matado a 50.000 personas perdonas la vida a la única que querías matar?? Bueno ahora pasemos a la parte de Terminator, por que es lo que es Abby. El juego pasa de narrarte una historia post-apocalíptica, hasta cierto punto intentando reflejar la realidad, ha jugar, durante 1/3 del juego, con un personaje al que odias desde la primera hora como es Abby, la Superwoman. Un personaje, que no siendo inmune como Ellie a la infección, se lía a hostias con todo dios, humanos, infectados,... Es un personaje, que aun intentando vendernos que es bueno, sus propios amigos, véase Mel cuándo la dice que no vaya con ellos a Santa Bárbara, la describen como mala persona. Pues bien, este personaje puede no solo completar su venganza matando a Joel, si no que además es capaz de sobrevivir a todos y todo. El juego te vende que la venganza es mala pero solo para Ellie, por que bien que Abby puede cargarse a todo dios y seguir como si nada. Quiero hacer especial énfasis en el final del juego, Abby y el niño llevan días, semanas? atados a un poste en la playa, bien pues nada más bajarse puede realizar una pelea a muerte, con mil cortes, perforaciones, contusiones,.. incluso está durante 1 min debajo del agua, hola?? infecciones, deshidratación, falta de oxígeno,...??? Nada puede con nuestra Terminator.... Y aún me venderán, dentro de un tiempo, una expansión con estos 2... Como cargarse una entrega tan buena como el primero haciendo tan terrible historia..

    Respecto al review bombing, no puedo hablar por los demás pero por mi parte no tengo ningún problema en la inclusión de personajes LGTBI, creo que de hecho es bastante bueno para normalizar el tema y que gente poco tolerante aprenda a simpatizar más. Además en este juego no interfiere en la historia por lo que no entiendo las críticas.

    Por mi parte he puesto el juego a la venta.

    Por favor Sony no quites el formato físico, te salva de recuperar el dinero invertido en tan terribles juegos como este.

    Now the for controversy. Is the story as good as the first game? No, I don't think it is. The writers decided to go in a new direction (which I applaud), but the landing wasn't as perfect. But I still think it's a great story, easily one of the best I've seen on the PS4. Now that's my opinion from playing the game. And as you've seen, enough people think otherwise.

    But the point is that you have to play it to make a decision for yourself. I bought the game know many people hated it, but I still was willing to give it a chance. And I'm happy that I did so.

    Gameplay: 6/10 very similar to the first game, long and repetitive. For 2-3 hours of play, 2 minutes of story. Much of the second half of the game gets boring.

    Story: 4/10 Classic revenge story that you can find in any movie with a lot of plot holes. That the game forces you to play with the antagonist for 10 hours, seems to me the worst possible decision. When you play with an antagonist you have to have some connection with that character and empathize with her, and that is impossible since she has killed the best video game character in the first hours of the game.

Poor poor storytelling which is what made this "franchise" popular in the place. The gameplay is monotonous and repetitive after a while.     The plot is 2/10, graphics 8/10, gameplay 6/10. The plot as if was supposed to end in 8-10 hours, since then another game begins. The second part of this game is not particularly related to the word "continuation of the first."

    No matter how much the Cicada assured us, there was no guarantee that Ellie's death would help in creating the medicine, because they already had patients with similar immunity. So there was no point in leaving Ellie for an autopsy.

    Чтож, по сравнению с первой частью игра дно дна.В первой части мы играли за Джоуэля и наблюдали за его отношением с Элли,это и была изюминка игры.Достаточно вспомнить как Джоуэль к ней хладнокровно относился в начале и на какие жерты пошёл в конце.
    Как бы нас не уверяли Цикады,не было гарантии что смерть Элли поможет в создании лекарства ,ибо у них уже были пациэнты с подобным иммунитетом. Поэтому не было смысла оставлять Элли на вскрытие.
    Во второй же части нам показывают Джоуэля,каким-то идиотом,который не смог сказать во время истерики Элли,насколько она ему дорога и рассказать ей ,что Цикады её обманули,насчёт вакцины...Да,возможно с первого раза не удалось бы объяснить этого ,но нужно было стараться больше...
    Также минусом игры есть пропаганда ЛГБТ ,тупой сюжет про месть,если Элли убила столько людей,то она бы уже могла прикончить этого перекаченого мужика трансгендера...
    Так как дела сначала нужно было закончить и потом уже плакать и вспоминать Джоуэля...
    Видимо ,как только Дракмана покинул второй сценарист первой части игры,то он начал писать всякий бред в сценарий,жалко что столько лет разработки игры слито в трубу...    … Expand

    Gameplay was great, loved that they added the dodge and prone actions. However the story and forced agendas ruined it all for me. False advertisement in the trailer was a shame indeed, for all of us who waited seven years.

Imagine waiting 7 years to not play as ellie for more than half of the game, False advertising Joel being in the game more when he gets killed off not even 2 hours in AND his killer gets to walk free after killing hundreds to get to her. AND They want us to “sympathize” with Abby??? No. The way the story is and ends doesn’t sit right with me. No closure at all and leaves you with so many questions. This is exactly how to ruin a perfect game with a **** sequel. If they make part 3 it’s gonna be a disaster. HOWEVER, The game mechanics and the universe are perfect but they should’ve worked more on putting that storyline together that actually made sense than worrying about perfect graphics and game mechanics because people are playing for THE STORY after all.… Expand

    Characters and Story
    None of the new characters are interesting or likeable, plot is drawn out and boring. Character deaths feel forced, lazy and cheap. Joel a major character in the game gets killed of 2 hours into the game just for shock value and just used as a plot device for Ellie's revenge. The game tries to make you to try and feel sympathy for this new character Abby but it doesn't work after what she did to Joel. Ellie doesn't get her revenge making her journey seem pointless and ends up losing everything at the end which makes it hopeless, playing 20 hours of a game just for a unsatisfying conclusion.

    Gameplay and visuals

    Visually this game looks great atmosphere and locations look stunning, riding through Seattle, the part where they are on the island and the houses of the island is burning looks absolutely great gameplay remains the same just some new added features like the jump and dodge button, not much but it remains okay.

You could have made this game in the 2000's and gameplay wise It would be the same, so for that reason I don't like It. I've read the spoilers before the game was released and I thought "I get the point of the story and what's trying to do but is poorly executed". Here it's the game and people pretty much hate it. Chrakters are bland, Joel gets killed right of the bat, Ellie is pretty flat as a character, her "girlfriend" Dina is, too. There's almost no story behind her nor does she get shown a lot in the game. Every character also gets kicked out the game instantly, nothing emotional (not even Joels death). Not even the characters remember them after they're dead. You play as the unlikable Abby for half the game. NO ONE LIKES HER. It's also unbelievable that Joel gets with a group of people he doesn't know, and Abby killing him after he saved her life. This then all comes down to Ellie and Abby killing person after person until pretty much no one even remotely interesting is left (not even Ellie, as her character also got really bland in this game and didn't develop at all, just like every other character).

    Joel pretty much gets a big fat "f*ck you" in his face from Ellie while he's alive in the first 10% of the game. Then, suddenly Ellie gets mad and wants to kill Abby, which she eventually...

    DOESN'T DO. In the end when you get back to the house it all seems like a bad nighmare with actually nothing happening in the real world in tlou2.

    In the end the devs, trailers and the game itself cover up everything that made the first game great (aside from Gameplay, which was quite alright) with great visuals and sound design. And unfortunately players of the 1st game get blinded by that.
    It feels rushed. Everything. It's a trash game. Good graphics tho I guess...

But I personally play in many games, include the Last of US 2 because of the story which they did the Last of the US. And they just destroy all magic of the original tale. In order to not spoil, I could say the story divide into two parts, almost can say it could two different storyline for the game. Yet, Naught Dog have made poor decision to combine and how they did it. Which nearly bur all the good sides of the stories, and made players wondering what the purpose for playing, which I believe is doesn’t and shouldn’t matter with other values and message developers what to carry out. This feeling is far more significant when one playing on Hard/Survivor difficulty, when the story is one of the biggest motivation for challenging gameplay, unlike any FromSoft game that is gameplay is already far more than enough.

    One might argued that TLOU2 is relatively good in a absolute standard, but lets not forget many Big Companies and Studios always could create new game with good graphic etc, which they should able to do so. Good Graphics are just the means to present a great story, especially for story telling game like TLOU. The Lord the Rings Trilogy didn’t won multiple Oscar by high budgets or Fancy CGI, but the story and world that Tolkien created.    … Expand

    Let's start with positive points, graphic is really well done I haven't encountered any bug/crash which I would say is a good thing. No slowdown as well. Gameplay is okay feel the same as first part but I don't play this game for the gameplay but for the story like a majority of people.
    The story is the bad point, you remember the intro of tlou well TLOU 2 was kinda fun, looked like a teen tv show... Then, a bit of action and Joel dies? We have been teased with trailer with Joel and Ellie all we wanted is to know how the relationship would go and we get this?
    Despite this event, I kinda liked the part with Ellie, probably because I had a story goal and I was playing Ellie. But dear god, the second part with Abby? I'm sorry but all I wanted was a skip button it felt so empty so weird like could have been another game. The character is bad designed ( not only this one but all new ones), the story around is weird, flashbacks for this girl, who cares?
    The ending was garbage too I might be too dumb but I think I do not understand if there is a message for anger to show or something else?
    I've always been recommending the part 1 to friends for the story even though they do not really play this type of game since this game could be watched like a movie so if you remove the story the last of us is not even an average game. Even the music is not good enough compared to the first one.

    The Last Of Us Part II has a subpar story with even worse gameplay. The story consists of a tired narrative of "revenge bad" while allowing the antagonist to get her revenge with little meaningful consequences. The gameplay is almost the exact same as in the first game. Which would be fine if it wasn't the worst part of the first game.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. estoy muy decepcionado de nauthy dog, me cuesta pensar que este juego lo hicieron las mismas personas que en la primera entrega, empezamos por el apartado técnico los gráficos son excelentes me parecieron loe mejores gráficos de toda esta generación de PS4 muy bueno también el diseño de niveles es simplemente excepcional , la jugabilidad esta muy bien es divertida y es un poco mejor en ciertos aspectos como lo son el cafeteo de las cosas, el sigilo esta mucho mejor implementado en comparación a la primera parte, y el sistema de mejora de habilidades y armas también es superior a la primera parte, la IA de los enemigos es un poco decepcionante ya que llegue a pensar que los enemigos iban a ser muy impredecibles o mucho mas inteligentes, pero son muy manejables los infectados son mas de lo mismo de el primer juego llegas a sentirte indefenso y eso algo positivo que causa el juego pero hasta cierto punto sientes que la situación nunca se te va de las manos entonces te sientes tranquilo, el gran declive de este juego no es su inclusión la inclusión esta bien, eso pasa a ser un segundo plano a nosotros los fans de este juego no nos interesa que ellie sea lesbiana esta bien, lo que acá en realidad importa es la mala narrativa que tiene el juego , que ademas de tener ciertos cliches también esta lleno de incongruencias, por ejemplo la falsa muerte de tommy que ohhh sorpresa no esta muerto y el cambio tan drastico de este mismo que a principio de la historia no quería vengarse y al final del juego cambia de parecve incluso le dice a ellie donde se encuentra abby para que termine su venganza enserio es muy poco creíble este cambio de parecer la poca importancia que le da jesse a dina y que esta antes mencionada jamas le cuente de su embarazo sabiendo que el es el padre, por ende también es importante que le se de por enterado de esto. el final directamente no lo entiendo creo que hubiera sido mejor cambiarlo, por ejemplo dar a elegir el final por que el trayecto es largo y este es mundo postapocaliptico no es una fantasía a veces hay finales malos también, podría haber sido a elección del jugador si dejar vivir o matar a abby, que por cierto a pesar de ser un personaje con el que no se siente ninguna clase empatia aun asi cuando me obligan a jugar con ella después de haber matado al personaje mejor construido, con un trasfondo excelente una historia muy bien escrita como lo es joel que convenientemente cree en abby cuando en el primer juego desconfiaba hasta de su sombra deja un mal sabor de boca, claramente era importante que joel muriera para así darle una evolución a ellie pero es una muerte anticlimatica y pésimamente escrita ademas ellie no presenta ninguna evolución durante toda la campaña al, otro tema que toca el juego es el empoderamiento de la mujer lo cual es algo que es bueno pero en el juego esta pésimamente implementado, donde solamente le dan un poco de desarrollo a los personajes femeninos y reduciendo a los hombres simplemente morir cada vez que le guion lo quiere y ademas de una manera forzada y muy anticlimatica sin mostrar una pizca de remordimiento este juego en lo personal manda un mensaje de empoderamiento erróneo una mujer puede salir adelante sin la necesidad de buscar ese enemigo natural como es el hombre, estoy triste con esta entrega definitivamente no es lo que esperaba después de ver el gran guion en la primera entrega ese juego tenia una narrativa que simplemente te hacia sentir empatia con todos joel, ver a ellie crecer, tess , bill, tommy incluso marlene y en esta entrega no hago empatia ni siquiera con las dos protagonistas...... otra cosa los críticos dan asco como pueden hypear tanto a la comunidad me parece que es un pisotón a la cara como es posible que le den notas tan altas sabiendo la poca narrativa que tiene este juego solo hicieron que nos decepcionáramos… Expand

The action scenes are great but since halfway through you switch to a character that is absolutely boring, you find yourself wanting to rush through all the action and set pieces to get back to Ellie.

    The story falls flat on its face. There are so many decisions the characters make that are just plain stupid such as Joel trusting strangers, Tommy asking Ellie to risk her life for him and Ellie choosing to spare the life of the person who killed Joel.

    Furthermore, the game seems to have some sort of agenda to make men look weak. All the male characters are just useless in the game and often taken out by the opposite gender, for example;

    Joel is killed off by a female
    Tommy's wife calls upon Ellie to save her 'useless husband' as she puts it
    Jesse is killed by a female
    Tommy pleads with Ellie to hunt down a female (After preventing and trying to protect her from hunting her down in the first place)
    Isaac (A leader of a fierce group) is killed by a female

    Overall game play is very good but since the story is boring, unrealistic and just rubbish, its not possible to score high in my opinion.    … Expand

    This game is horrible and a complete disrespect in regards to The Last Of Us Part 1. This was a dumpster fire and I'm done supporting Naughty Dog and Neil.

    This is naughty dogs first flop of a videogame because of repititve gameplay, poor plot with glaring character decisions and failure to acknowledge that this is a sequel and not a stand alone game that is the first of its kind. The way some characters are handled makes me feel no empathy to them whatsoever has made this game almost unplayable.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
