    It's bad, even worse than I was anticipating, almost hard to even continue playing. The first one is one of my top 10 games ever but nothing about the spirit of the first game is in this one, it's just depressing in the worst way. I'm not exaggerating when I say it's probably the most unenjoyable gaming experiences I've had

    For those love the characters in the first part, this is just some piece of **** that ruined all the good memories in the series. The last of us is my first PS4 game, the emotional connection between Joel and Ellie is the best gaming experience which cannot replaced by any games. Thanks naughty dog, you ruined my childhood.

We all knew deep down that Joel was going to die in TLOU2. It was pointless for Neil Druckmann to even include the way he was killed. Then the ending. What was the point of the entire game if you don’t get revenge. Ellie has killed hundreds of people before, so why would a flashback stop her from killing her main enemy. I hated Abby until halfway into the game. Then I just didn’t feel any type of way towards her. But for the entire duration of the game they force me to want to feel bad for Abby? It didn’t work. I gotta say, I loved purposefully dying just to see her get mutilated by a pack of infected. Everything else, I loved. It would’ve been my favorite game ever made if Joel had a different death and Ellie got her revenge.… Expand

    - ND abuso de sus empleados al hacerlos trabajar horas extra y sin pagarles (no se si tiempo después si les pagaron) aún así lo retrasaron cuando el juego ya estaba completo y eso causo que se filtrara (supuestamente por un empleado molesto)

    - Druckmann se insertó como personaje en el juego para escupir el cadáver de Joel y tener sexo con uno de los protagonistas, además en un item donde dice tener 100 de cerebro (imagen)

    - En el juego es imposible disparar a objetos que tengan relación con la religión judía (si no me creen díganme y les paso un vídeo)

    - La historia es una basura, te hacen controlar a un personaje nuevo que mató a uno muy querido. El final es incongruente y anticlimatico.

    - Cualquier crítica hacia el juego es tachado de homofobia o machismo

    Nice combat, nice game-play, very nice graphic, next-gen game.
    But all of that, can't be compared to the story.
    The story is fully disrespecting the player and the first game. Forcing the player to play the most hated character is not something people wanted to in a game. if the story was mediocre, i would love to rate this to 7 or 8 because of all the combat, game-play, and graphics.     I really wanted to like this game.. The graphics are astonishing and really push the ps4 to the limits but i feel like while trying to force you to like the new characters they completely messed up the character development of the ones we bought the game for. Naughty dog had their focus and their priorities quite wrong with this one...

Not because of poor gameplay, or poor graphics, or poor animation, or poor soundtrack, or bad lighting, because these factors are not only substantial but in some cases (graphics, lighting and animation) extraordinary. The reason this game sucks is because of poor storytelling. Ultimately, what is fundamental in determining if this type of solo game is worth rating as great is not the gameplay or the visuals or the soundtrack but it’s the story. Without a great story the player has no motivation to engage in the game. So regardless if the gameplay is fun it is kind of pointless if the player has no motivation to play it.

    The story sucks because of the following big reasons, although there are many smaller, more specific reasons that I won’t get into. The first being: absolutely terrible pacing. This game takes no time to reintroduce previous characters and does not take the time to develop new characters in a way that allows the player to understand and empathise with their decisions. The main plot points which occur are thrown together and feel contrived because of the moral agenda that the developers are trying to push which is that revenge leads to a cycle of inescapable and immoral violence. Ellie’s new love interest is thrown in at the start and we’re expected to care about her just because Ellie has the hots for her. We’re expected as a player to want to fight alongside her and care about their relationship despite totally boring character development and dialogue.

    Which is the second point, although well acted and realistic, the dialogue is so painfully boring throughout most of the game and it is painful to have to listen to their cute little conversations when your only motivation (if you can find any) is hatred after they kill off the main playable character from the first game less than 3 hours in. When you are fuelled by hate and not the hopeful goal which the first game had, it can be difficult to listen to dina’s trash jokes and the two girls flirting while zombies and people try to shoot, stab and consume them.

    The third big reason has to be the disrespect done to Joel. I mean they literally spit on his bloodied corpse. I don’t have a problem with killing characters or “sad parts” in stories. My issue is that they kill this character so early in the game, using the most wicked methods possible and it is done by a new character that we don’t give a crap about. And you’re forced to play as that character later in the game. It doesn’t even make sense how they kill him. The whole of the first game Joel doesn’t trust anyone. He spots an ambush like an absolute pro, it was even used in one of the trailers for the original. He is not a man that gets led into one of these situations and yet he ended up there because the develops just had to kill off the men because this is a game about WAHMEN.

    And that’s the fundamental flaw with this game. Not that the female characters take the lead. Not that there is a gay relationship. The problem is that the developers were clearly so obsessed with representing those groups in this game that it completely clouded what could have otherwise been a great story. Their politics, their agenda, their prejudice got in the way of their ability as storytellers. It forced them to kill Joel because he’s an old white man. It forced them to make the journey about these two girls and their dull, underdeveloped relationship and it forced them to have the antagonist (who isn’t really even an antagonist) as a completely unbelievable female character that is either trans or an impossible occurrence. I mean, no woman has that level of muscle and if she is trans or genetically dispositioned, couldn’t you at least explain that to us? Why is she built like a bodybuilder? Is she on roids? If so, how did she get them during an apocalypse? Is she genetically deformed? How did that affect her growing up? I mean, please explain your insane choices at least. Anyway, I’m into ranting now. This game is a 4/10. 5/10 at a push if you love this type of one man army gameplay. Save your money. Replay the first.    … Expand

    The story of this game was definitely interesting to say the least, but it came no where close so the story of the first game. Uninteresting and flat characters made the story feel less engaging than the first game. Also, the game was very simular to the first game in every aspect, almost like it should have a DLC.     So here is what I think: Pros: - gameplay - graphics - atmosphere - sound - music All those parts are undeniable very good. Its top notch.     Cons:
    - story
    - character design
    - character development
    - plot holes

    So, even with all the pros this game is really really bad. It makes NO sense that Ellie act how she acts in certain parts of the game but that isnt even the biggest thing about why its bad.
    The reason is: character development.
    If you kill one of the most beloved characters early in the game (Joel) and want to bring in new main playable characters like Abby, you HAVE to bring WAY more backstory in order to make the player feel with her.
    I mean she KILLED Joel!
    How do you make the player like her? Bring more and more backstory before she does that. Let the players play 2-10h as Abby when she was a child or whatever. The backstory of her is basically told in 10minutes and then her dad is being killed. Thats it? And now I have to feel with her and understand why she killed Joel?
    Hell no!
    That is weak story telling. Really really weak.

    Then there are all the other new characters. Nobody is likeable. Like really. They all feel empty. They are only shells without any meaning.

    This game is just bad. Do yourself a favor and dont buy it. The reviews the journalists wrote are either bought by Sony or ND or are heavily politicly influenced. Sad thing is: because of that same journalists will most likely make this game GOTY. What a joke.

    Safe your money and buy something else.

    And last but not least: this is technically a very good game but the story/characters is/are SO bad it just doesnt matter how well the rest is done.

    You want a good revenge story? Watch "Oldboy" then you know how to make a good revenge story that shocks everybody to their core.

    Naughty Dog has once again proven that they're masters of PS hardware. Unfortunately, story driven game cannot be carried just by its look. ND's leadership has failed their employees and wasted years of their lives with this project.

    Makes me feel bad about the part of ND team that did a great job when it comes to presentation... but sadly, their tremendous work was in vein, this is unplayable, pointless chore filled with lgbt cringe. I own 700+ of playstation games, all ND games included, since first Crash on PSX, but this... makes me want to quit gaming. Refund.

    I put this game 2 points out of 10. A point for the game graphic and one more for the gameplay. Drackmann destroyed the TLOU franchise. I waited 7 years to play THIS game? No. Absolutely NO. I’ll just pretend that I’ve never seen this game.

    I was ok with Joel's death when it happened initially. I like a good revenge story and I can see what Naughty Dog was going for in that gruesome golfclub scene, but the plotline wasn't really delivered on. The ending left me with a bad taste in my mouth and I feel like it was just for the sake of doing something different.

    It's lost the magic of the first game for me. I'm just left asking why this one even exists. Like who is this for? because it doesn't feel like it's for the same people who enjoyed the first one.

    Many will protect this game beacus of the production values, the graphics, face animations. They are good as much as you cant expect from a triple A title, but how far will it take you in a game where all the characters are empty and blend to the point where you feel like none of this matters to you anymore. This event is the perfect presentaion of an author in crisis, all the negative reviews will represent that.

    I am impressed by the graphics of this game ( I have played it) I love the environments, I never felt so immersed in a game, while disconnected. I will give you a list of the "goods" and the "bads"

    Good :

    Amazing graphic's
    Little details
    acceptable character development (debatable)

    Bads :

    Killing An Important character "too soon"
    Dumb story decisions
    almost bad AI
    Terrible ending

    We need to go into detail now:
    first, The AI in not that great, and the story decisions are not neither.
    Let me explain, you have Joel brutally murdered by Abby, At the first 2-3 hours of the game.
    The other 20 hours is to get revenge, fine, but the ending is frustrating. you did all of that just for Ellie to realize "Oh, Killing people will get me nowhere"... While Joel would do anything for her, I was disappointed, I avoided all the leaks, played the game to be met by a bd narrative.

    Overall, WE don't care about the graphics, we care about our beloved characters and their journey.
    If the last of us sequel was just a book with great writing, I would buy it.
    But They have put a lot of effort into this environment and the world around us.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
