Empezad a valorar en las críticas las políticas YA o esta industria que nos encanta se pudrirá hasta la médula.

shadow of war? more like shadow of greed, I can just about forgive and understand micro transactions in multiplayer games. But in single player?! Why do we need loot boxes in a story mode? It pointless and just trying to find more ways to earn money! What's next the DLC in loot boxes?

People who say that microtransactions don't affect the game are lying to you. If you want to reach the ending you have to pay or do hours of tedious grind. If we keep allowing this the next is going to be worse. Wait until the game is on sale.

This is unbelievable, DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. Its nothing but a rip off you need to buy loot boxes with YOUR OWN MONEY in order to finish the campaign. The game is full of MICROTRANSACTIONS if you buy this game you are supporting this kind of behavior from the gaming companies. This is a disgusting practice.

    -Encouraging kids to gambling
-Micro-transactions in an already AAA priced game
-Recycling same content from the first game
Buying this game should be illegal.

This game truly has all of the atrocious user-hostile and money grabbing features, which the game industry so pride themselves on. They have pushed it one nudge further in Shadow of War, and if you don't vote with your wallet and say no, they will continue this downwards trend.

I've been a gamer for about 20 years and seen publishers pull a lot of crap. But gambling in videogames as "lootboxes""?! This is a new low! Monolith sold their souls. Please boycott this game.. buy it second hand.. download it.. just don't support this crap please. Don't let this become the new industry norm

Game would be more enjoyable except for a microtransaction system integral to viewing the "true" ending of the game. Either grind the same things for 30 hours, or pay extra money. As a full priced, single player game, microtransactions are simply unforgivable.

Loot boxed in a singleplayer game?? If the game was free I could agree with it.
These stupid tactics to get all our money should forever be banned. I can only give a zero for this game.

Ahem, earlier submission was a mistake. I was going to say... I just made this account to declare how much of a disappointment this game was. Bottom line is... the original gameplay would have been far better. As for the Nemesis system? I have seen absolutely no counts of there being any friendship between orc and Talion.

Pre-order canceled when i found out about the loot boxes, gonna wait for a used game in gamestop.
Grind are heavily increased because of this, the "true" ending is sort of locked behind a paywall, because you have to spend alot of time grinding for legendary armies

A sad thing about this game is that the lootbox controversy is completely taking attention away from how much this game is lacking in creativity as a sequel, the story is great for Tolkien fans but there is just SO MUCH GRIND to go thru, and there are so little improvements to core gameplay, graphics look the same, menus are still ugly as hell (I think they are the same of the past gameA sad thing about this game is that the lootbox controversy is completely taking attention away from how much this game is lacking in creativity as a sequel, the story is great for Tolkien fans but there is just SO MUCH GRIND to go thru, and there are so little improvements to core gameplay, graphics look the same, menus are still ugly as hell (I think they are the same of the past game even).

I played the first Middle-Earth game, and like many other people, were very impressed and surprised about how good the game was. I played through the story mode several times, and recommended the game to anybody that would listen. Naturally, I was hugely anticipating the sequel, Shadow of War. I eagerly read bits of information leaked over the past couple of years, and was looking forward to purchasing and enjoying the game.

Then came loot boxes. The very late announcement that the game would include loot boxes in the offline story mode has killed any love I had for this series. It is a trend which should be completely eradicated and offers no improvement to players enjoyment of the games. The feature is purely used to suck more money out of players, it adds literally zero benefit to the game.

People should not support this game, and should be very vocal about their displeasure of it. I will not ever be purchasing this game, not for full price, or second hand when it inevitably gets traded in and the price drops. It is a disgrace that it has been included in this game.

I am completely appalled by the critic reviews, none of which have rated this game negatively. Perhaps if they gave the game a negative review, they fear EA would not allow them early access to future games, a direct conflict of interest for their jobs and well being. I have also read on Youtube that Youtubers that were given the game early were forced, by means of contract, to only say positive things about the title. While I have no proof if this allegation is true, considering the overwhelming response from critics, I find it very believable.

As other users have commented, I suggest everybody boycott this game, make it a failure to send a firm message to EA that this will not be tolerated.

When 2 orcs have a fight in the pit the AI is so stupid that most of the time the units just stands there and dies. And you have to lvl up, and the only thing you can do is buying more lootboxes. So when you have paid 60 euro game, you have to add at least 20 more euro to finish the game. It is like they are taking a piss in your face when you are halfway in the game. And the game before that is not even enjoyable. It is the same assassin's creeds farming quest that says every time; go there and kill 5 guys, good job, now go here and kill 7 guys in the same way, good job, now you lvl up. And so it continues the hole game, until the microtransaction part. If you think it is weird that Critic Reviews are so much higher then the User score it is because they are to afraid to piss of EA with their bad game. Because it is. I was annoyed by various flaws (both technical and design-related) and tedious, dragged out final stages of the campaign, but overall I enjoyed the ride. It looks like the developers wanted to stuff the game with all the best elements Middle-earth has to offer. Shadow of War’s atmosphere is terrific and watching Talion rise in power is surprisingly addictive. [12/2017, p.62]

A handful of issues, some much more annoying than others, do not negate how solid of an action RPG Middle-earth: Shadow of War is. A tremendous achievement for the team at Monolith Productions, this is an exciting, if not sometimes slow, and too often unfair, title that manages to be as impressively fun as it is big.

Big, brutal, and - alas - bloated, Shadow of War is a disappointing follow-up, conjuring battles of grand scale and then deadening their impact through grinding repetition. [December 2017, p.79]
