    It's nice. The sequence shot is good, but are we in a movie? This direction that these games are taking is starting to worry me. When you spend more time creating cinematic scenes, directing the actors to stage the actions, it's less time tweaking the gameplay. I played it like I was watching a mythology movie. I am unable to list 3 gameplay mechanics after finishing it.

    This is the most overrated game I ever played. It is not bad, but not close to a 10. The story is normal at best, the game relies on a lot of repetitive combat and puzzles with little variety of enemies. It doesn't offer anything other games already do and constantly requires you to return to most places because you just don't have all the skills to explore areas the first time you getThis is the most overrated game I ever played.     Yes, it's all that a game needs to be one of the best of all time. A very good story, strongly developed characters, absolutely fantastic gameplay, natural progression in the game, interesting sidequests, and a good setting. It's honestly one of the best games I have ever played.

    One thing that had me "avoiding to play" the final missions is that the game starts to force fights in order to expand playtime, and you can't interact with anything while a fight is going on, so you can't really run and pretend Draugr don't exist. It's a minor thing and happens like in the last 2-3 hours of the game. There's still plenty for you all to enjoy.    … Expand

    It's just a must play and even more accessible now that it's on PC. More people can now experience this game and it's beautifully crafted story.

    It's a good game , Not a "God of War" game that you expect from it's past . It doesn't impress you in anyway. It's good if it's your first time playing a god of war game .
    It should cost 40$ max .

    The story is simply astonishing and the plot is well told. Nevertheless, the boss fightings are all similar to each other and some glitches on PS4 made me think that 10 is not the right score for this game. Well done Santa Monica! Let's wait for the sequel now.

    наблюдать на лысую башку на пол экрана с туевой хучей стрелок по краям экрана, поварачивать камеру из одного угла в другой, как будто ты в башне танка сидишь, что бы бить 2мя конпками бомжа, который на протяжении всей игры меняется только цветом, застрявший в стене, получать урон не понятно от кого, когда и почему, умирать и начинать заново по 10 раз, что бы просто пройти до лазанья понаблюдать на лысую башку на пол экрана с туевой хучей стрелок по краям экрана, поварачивать камеру из одного угла в другой, как будто ты в башне танка сидишь, что бы бить 2мя конпками бомжа, который на протяжении всей игры меняется только цветом, застрявший в стене, получать урон не понятно от кого, когда и почему, умирать и начинать заново по 10 раз, что бы просто пройти до лазанья по скале с нажатием 1й кнопки что бы подпрыгнуть и в тонкой, буквально удушающей кишкой - уровнем, в поисках сундуков с абсолютно бесполезными камнями для абсолютно бесполезной брони, которой насрано так, что бы ты сидел в меню пол часа и больше, и попутно слушая бессконечный пиздежь каждые 3 секунды ублюдошного раздражающего и бесполезного как по сюжету так и по геймплею пиздюка под супер мега ультра "чувственной" эпический пердеж старой переделанной темы сидя афк по 10 минут смотря оооооочень технологические но идиотские катсцены из которых большая часть игры состоит, но зато с офигенным графонием. Если Вы пенсионер или инвалид, то эта игра для вас - сидите, нажимайте одну кнопку, смотрите оооооооооочень "душу разрывабщий" сюжет, слушайте диалоги (молчание под музычку с кучей качественных анимаций) между какими-то персонажами никак не относящимися ни к Кратосу, ни к Вам самим (о чем в этой же игре сам Кратос и говорит не один раз) но продолжает в этом говне варится, что бы в конечном итоге... что? что бы ждать следующую часть с вменяемым геймплеем, разнообразием персонажей, мобов и локаций, хоть как-то интересных головоломок, хоть каким-то наличием платформинга, и в конце концов игры в которую ты играешь, а не спишь под кинцо нажимая пару кнопок пару раз в несколько часов. Нечего сказать: технически всё сделано великолепно, порт потрясающий, но кроме как сказать, что Кори Барлог просто насрал, своим видением кина а не игры, тут и там, накидал каких-то прокачек вещей, кучу внешки, просто что бы оно там было,
    сказать хорошего почти нечего. Отвратительно, в это не возвоможно играть с удовольстивем, это как посмотреть пустое, бездарное демо выжимания всего возможного из пс4 нее более    … Expand

    Let's just start with the fact that, whenever i started playing video games and God of War 2018 happened to be the leading way in video game making and basically most of the games would have been like God of War 2018, i would have choose different hobby. I'm dead serious, if that was the main appeal of gaming, i would have never even cared about video games, that's how much i dislike this game. Or maybe dislike is wrong word, maybe i just don't care about it at all and that would be okay, because there's thousands of games i don't care about, the problem is that God of War is treated by some people as something deep, amazing, innovative, masterpiece, one of the best games of all time, etc. I disagree strongy disagree with all these statements. It just isn't any of these thing, no matter how you look at this game.

    I have a strong feeling that people who hype this game up have never even played actual masterpieces like GTA 4 (2008), Resident Evil 4 (2005), Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2 (2010/2018). I can give examples even about "just good" games like for example Days Gone (2019), i enjoy that game about million times more and i think it's way, way more innovative than God of War 2018. Even Final Fantasy 7 Remake is better game than God of War 2018.

    So what's the deal? Why the hype? Is it just people following hype without even caring? With same logic Studios managed to create so big hype for Cyberbug2077, that even when it released as extremely buggy and broken mess, some people still refused to believe that it's bad and some to this day call Cyberpunk 2077 best game of all time, because they just can't handle reality after months (even years) of extreme hype.

    So what really is God of War 2018? It's a game with heavy focus on movie-like long cutscenes (not as bad as Uncharted 4, but still, a lot of cutscenes). Other aspect of this game is extremely simplistic, you just smash 100s of enemies with you EPIC axe. And of course there's boss fights with HUGE enemies, like in literally every modern game (not an issue by the way), just pointing out what this game is. So by that logics, where's Guardians of the Galaxy GOTY? It's basically the same game with guns as weapons. I'm asking that ironically, because none of these imo deserve to be called anything extraordinary, fun? Maybe. Nothing special tho. But here's the thing, these cutscene heavy, hack and slash games were never the reason why i started to play video games. Never. So to put it short, my main issue isn't the fact that these games exist, my issue is that God of War 2018 out of all these games is treated as something extraordinary, better than all the others, not even in same genre, people in general call it best game of all time. That is my issue. In my opinion there are so many better games, way deeper, way more gameplay and less cutscenes and to me it feels like, most of these God of War fans don't even know about these games. So yeah, i'm not angry, i'm just disappointed.    … Expand

    Ubisoft, EA, CD Project Red, Square Enix, Activision Blizzard and others... This is how you make a game! Visual, audio, gameplay, story, you name it, they did it spectacularly. No mtx, no stupid schemes to make money, just art. This game was worth every penny and I'd gladly pay for it over and over again. One of, if not THE best game I've ever played. Even the port to PC was done very well.

    I've never played a close combat game as good as God of War This game is a brilliant story of a father-son relationship. It's not a story of an angry man killing every god he happened to. Atreus is such a good character that I wanted to play as him sometimes.     Cory Barlog and his team achieved what many thought impossible – despite having changed almost everything Santa Monica managed to preserve that elusive spark that makes God of War game feel like a God of War game. They created one of the defining titles of the current generation and a technical marvel whose stunning beauty in motion words cannot describe. And there’s one more thing. Barlog’s touching reaction to his masterpiece’s scores shows that even in the world of huge budgets, micropayments, loot boxes and sales forecasts there still is a place for artists who pour their hearts into their work.
