    There is a neat thing about God of War 3 Remastered. First it's the graphics: Santa Monica decided to amp out the graphics. All of the DLCs are included as well as photo mode (where you can share a photo based on what photo colour you want). There is a lightbar - which your playing it with the colour red. So it will shine red when you create a new game (or load one, challenge mode, etc.). The third is basically the graphics. Other than that, it would be more disappointing to see a return of the Remastered (unless you happen to play from the beginning of the story to the end - which is God of War 3). EDIT: What I did not realize was for a fact that your controller changes colour based on the weapon itself that your wielding. I did not realize that from the time you do have to obtain new weapons.… Expand

    This game is truly a masterpiece. Epic boss battles, fantastic set-pieces, great pacing and excellent level design and combat make it a must-have for anyone who has a PS4 and likes action games. This is easily the best game I've played on PS4.

    I bought a PS4 and i was tallking with my brother what should i buy for it. And i said, damn if GOW3 was on PS4 i would buy it instantly. After dinner that day, i went on my PC and found out that GOW3 is getting a PS4 remaster. Coincidence? I don't think so :D

    This is not just a lazy up res as some salty "gamers" who will never see anything more than a compressed YouTube vid will claim. God of War 3 Remastered is a must buy for those who haven't played, but also for those who have. The PS4 version does this game so much justice with the fluidity of 60fps combat and with the low latency ultra responsive DUALSHOCK 4 controller you will have a newfound mastery over Kratos The Godslayer. The new gauntlet weapon is a welcomed addition and a grappling good time, and with the improved visuals the boss fights come to life like never before, Poseidon is a sight to behold in native 1080p.

    This really is a fantastic experience on the PS4 and the game is more thrilling than ever. Even if you are a God of War veteran you owe it to yourself to experience the very best version of the most epic game of all-time, and if you own a PS4 but have never experienced the series, invest in a set of hinges because this game will blow the doors off.     Being a PS3 game at the end of the day, the remastered graphics may not be up to current PS4 standards, but they're still very good. Definitely acceptable. Graphics aren't the reason I like this game though. The gameplay is amazing, and fun. Boss fights are epic and even the general fighting is solid.
    The puzzles could've been harder but the scenery/locations are pretty cool.
    It's a must play

    I don't give a rats ass about 1080p or 60fps, but the gameplay is... obviously, I fought God of War is just a slack of anger games, but instead it is not! Kratos was the reason why your mom wouldn't buy you a PS2, & other reason, Sex content! So now, you can play Kratos in your PS4 and ignored your mom ranting s*it, because you now, a grown up, to play this AWESOME GAME!

    Sony already explained that the purpose of remastering games is to give the people who didn't have PS3 the chance to experience some of the best games made for that console.
    In my case, I had PS3 but I couldn't play GOW3 so this is my chance and I'm not gonna pass it.

    The cutscences aren't 60fps, but I don't have any complaints considering that I didn't get to play GOW3 on PS3, a day before the announcement of GOW3 Remastered on PS4, I was thinking that they would do it, and it happened.

    La calidad grafica es indiscutible, si no se sabria q fue un juego de ps3 tranquilamente pasa por un juego de ps4. Los que se quejan de las remasterizaciones simplemente que no lo compren y se acabo, pero yo jugue a todos los God of War en sus respectivas consolas y aun asi lo compre por soy un fan de la saga. Muy recomendado.

    What can i say about God of War... ITS FREAKING AWESOME! GoW3 Remastered is a good remasterization of the great and epic God of War 3. If you have a PS4 and like games like Devil May Cry and Dantes Inferno, you will love this monster.

    The God of War series is one of the greatest video game collection I've ever played. There's nothing new added, but God of War III is an awesome game that's worth a multiple re-plays. The combat, storyline, and level of detail make this game a must-have.

    Best game i played ever in PS4 so far, it was worth the buy. I congratulate the GOD OF WAR 3 game makers for making such a wonderful game, their effort is worth 10/10 score. The game is got best graphics, gameplay. Good game design and cinematic. Felt like i was inside the game, truly remastered to perfection.

    My favorit GoW episode. I think this remaster version is good for new ps players, and who have PS4 console. But i bought too and i love it more than the PS3 version.

    One of the greatest games ever with lipstick on. In my view these games should be played on the hardest mode of difficulty to get the most out of them. Whilst you can leave the difficulty low and mash your way through the glorious story and scenery the game experience is so much better when you need to block and parry etc etc.

    Amazing game, if you love any of the older GOW games you'll love this one.

    I only read one bad review on here that actually critiqued the game and sounded like they had played it. All the other bad reviews sounded like they came from salty people who never played it but just needed to leave a bad score for some reason or another.

Blood too, like when you kill Hermes, Helios, almost every gods we make that. The difference from PS3 version to PS4 is some graphic quality, not too much, effects and the 60 fps.     Great bloody slashers, which third part was even bloodier. Graphics brought up to modern standards, nothing spoiled. In war there is one God - this is Kratos! Recommend!

    God of War is my favorite games series. God of War is my favorite part so far, but I think it's a consistent story from 1 to 3, you have to look at it completely and it's just awsome. The graphics and gameplay were so great on the PS3 and it looks so much better on the PS4. I hope I fall in love with the new God of War.

    Lo pasé un par de veces en el PS3, hace poco me lo prestaron y quise aprovechar para darle el visto bueno en PS4
    Realmente no se parece a un juego hecho para PS3, tal vez por eso le queda muy bien al PS4, acción al por mayor, variedad de enemigos, variedad de armas y ataques, una historia para cerrar el ciclo griego

The boss fights and stages are on a epic scale (the beginning titan is unreal), and it just gets better. Story is just fine as well.     I´m a great fan of the GOd of War franchise, and the third game gets a 10 from me. The only flaw is that you can´t skip the cutscenes.

I've decided to try 3 remastered I got for free in ps plus years ago, and was surprised so much. Gameplay is a bit aged, however, the game itself is fun and I think it's even better than 2018 :) They are different games, eras(ps3 vs ps4) and budgets, however this old gameI liked the 2018 God of war.     That was such a great experience. 13+ hours of gameplay, amazing story, really good combat mechanics, interesting characters, this game is a masterpiece. I'm really sad tho that i couldn't experience the original saga. When i was younger i was watching someone else play them all on PS3 but i don't really remember much out of this. Great story, interesting even if you dont played previous games(youtube can help with that), insanely great boss battles, and no 100500 'your princess is in another castle' garbageThis is insanely good game, masterpiece in every way, not repetitive, interesting puzzles, great weapon set, awesome enemies with individual traits and ways to kill enemies that you must find by experementing.     I dont understand why it have 8, when even in 2020 its superior in every way(except graphics) than the latest release. The only issue I have with game- sometimes rolls dont work for no reason but every other way- excellent game!    … Expand

    Having played the original GOW3 on ps3 10 years ago , i was just amazed by how the frame rate of this one is on my PS4. Anyways , this game in my opinion is a masterpiece with a satisfying conclusion to the Greek saga for Kratos before he moved to Midgard.

God of War 3 remastered is an amazing game and in my opinion one of the best action games I have played in my life and the upgrade improves it even more. The story of god of war 3 starts where the previous game ended and I will not give you spoilers so as not to ruin your plot of the game because the game is quite short 10 hours or so of play. The gameplay in God of War 3 is amazing and satisfying even today in 2021. To sum up the God of War 3 is an amazing game and in my opinion one of the best action games I have played in my life and anyone who has a PlayStation 4 must have this game in the collection !!!… Expand

    The ending where kratos shows his caring side, and travel through the river of sadness and find hope was impressive. The suicide really had an impact, and symbolically it was the end of the vengenceful Kratos.    … Expand

    This is one of the best games i ever played. I bought it with my PS4 years ago and i loved the game. It's interesting, it's colorful, it doesn't allow me to get bored. I played it two times and I'd do it again.

    Everything about this game is done perfectly. The boss battles are the grand. The gameplay is addicting with the game giving you so many weapons and trinkets to use in combat to string together godlike combos that make you feel like a god of war.

The story about how he has been abused by the gods all his life to the point he becomes a hollow shell of a man is beautifully written.     A fantastic remaster to an already fantastic game from 5 years ago, and the graphics showed. They are ONPAR to the original PS3 release from 2010.

    I first played God of War 3 upon its first release just over 5 years ago, and at the time I was slightly disappointed truth be told - the first game was a heck of an introduction, the second game is still probably one of my favourite games of all time, so you can see that God of War 3 had a lot to live up to - and it couldn't quite do that.

    Looking back now as I'm enjoying it again, I    I first played God of War 3 upon its first release just over 5 years ago, and at the time I was slightly disappointed truth be told - the first game was a heck of an introduction, the second game is still probably one of my favourite games of all time, so you can see that God of War 3 had a lot to live up to - and it couldn't quite do that.

    Looking back now as I'm enjoying it again, I perhaps was being a little too harsh - God or War 2 took the series to some amazing extremes, and God of War 3 had the unenviable task of not only closing everything off, but taking the one thing left everyone wanted - the only remaining thing!! - the big scrap, and somehow looking to stretch it out into a full game.

    Thankfully the change of pace was always a welcome one, and the fact that it stays firmly in a couple of set locations as opposed to the first two may seem forced, but it makes perfect sense. Also, packed with the sheer amount of enemies that the game throws at you, hundreds of neat moments, and boss battles that extend and contort under the sheer weight of their expectation, only make for a decent closer to a damned fine trilogy.

    In all, God of War 3 is a decent game.

    Now onto the remaster, I did wonder at first why Sony only sought to remaster this title in the series? I mean, why not ascension as well (and do the release as a double-package?)? The package is really barebones for the money too, so loading the game up does serve to put those reservations away. The game now runs almost all the time at 60 FPS, 1080P, and as a result what looked looked lovely before is outright stunning now. There's a photo mode to make screengrabs, but in all honesty its superfluous. Something like Driveclub is made for photos, not this game really.

    I'd question spending over £30 on this remaster, but if you want something stunning and extremely playable then this is worth the money. There isn't that much out like it at the moment and even if you're lost on the plot (and you haven't played the first two!!) you'll have a blast.

    One of the best Playstation exclusives of all time in glorious 1080p and running at a smooth 60 frames per second with all bonus content included... This is the perfect package for any PS4 owner. I really recommend getting your hands on this game if you haven't played it, in fact if you haven't played it this is a must buy. Es wird Zeit für ein neues Abenteuer des unermüdlichen Kratos!

    I was played this game at PS3 console, and i really enjoy it, i was so excited when they release Remaster. It's really looks awesome to see this game at 60fps and 1080p, and it's really different between PS3 and PS4. If you like killing some gods, don't hesitate and buy it! :)

    After playing the game on the P.S Vita I wanted to finish the story, and what a remasted game this is! Great graphics one of the best in the PlayStation 4 and the game is easier for me but very enjoyable finale.

    Jako że nie posiadałem PS3, a ukończyłem GOW 1 i 2, musiałem zakupić tego remastera. Gra zacna, trzyma poziom, wieńczy historię. Kto nie grał, niech zagra, bo warto. Odejmuje jeden punkt za - moim zdaniem - źle wyważony poziom trudności i efekt zamulenie, kiedy dostanie się po głowie - nie można przejść do kontry.

    God of War 3 is game that I really wanted to play but unfortunately i do not have a PS3 when it was released. I bought a PS4 and I was happy that this game was released in the system.

    The graphics and story of God of war is truly remarkable.

    A must play for PS4 owners and a game I would truly recommend.

    This game concludes Kratos' story of revenge against the Gods of Olympus in fictional Ancient Greece. GoW III features the most WOW opening of any game I can remember, with Kratos charging against    God of War III was a masterpiece of a game for the PS3, and Sony Santa Monica outdid themselves after the acclaimed God of War and GoW 2 games. Now it's on PS4, in better shape than before.

    This game concludes Kratos' story of revenge against the Gods of Olympus in fictional Ancient Greece. GoW III features the most WOW opening of any game I can remember, with Kratos charging against Mount Olympus while riding Gaia and his allies the Titans, then fights and kills Poseidon straight away before being sent to the Underworld by Zeus so that the game proper can begin (hey, if that didn't happen the game would last 3 hours max). What better and more epic way to start a game! But the rest of it is no slouch. Each new boss battle is better than the last. Each new area is more beautiful than the previous one. Even violence has become more prevalent, there were moments I sympathised with Kratos' victims, but there is nothing too gory. The final fight against Zeus is mostly presented as a 2D fighting game, which is a nice change of pace. Ultimately Kratos wipes the Greek gods out of the face of the Earth. Surprise! XD Don't say I spoilt the story. Did you really expect anything different?

    Graphics are amazing, the epic scale of battles has become even more epic (the battle against the Titan Kronos is featured in no other game), gameplay is as always solid with a mix of hack n' slash, platforming and puzzles (unfortunately there is a puzzle late in the game that plays with perspective and I couldn't solve it without reading a walkthrough). The Remastered version runs at a locked 60 fps and displays at 1080p resolution, but the game's assets haven't been really touched upon relative to the PS3 original.

    All in all, God of War III Remastered is a terrific game. If you missed it on the previous generation because you owned another console or a PC do yourselves a favor and just buy it and play it, it's one of the best and most spectacular games you will ever experience.    … Expand

    . God of War III is one of the most blood pumping games I have tried in the last month . Things that keep sticking in my mind still to this day is the you are playing as the villain and it feels so good .Glorious ending for a series

    Para los que no lo hayan jugado nunca, o conozcan a Kratos solo por la última entrega o por los constantes anuncios de Ragnarok, decir que esto es un hack and slash de la vieja escuela con resolución de puzzles, con una historia excelente y un diseño absolutamente magistral. Cada uno de los juegos es un enorme puzzle dividido en varios puzzles más pequeños. El combate es fluido y espectacular, hace parecer al jugador que es un verdadero maestro con el mando, alternando combos y magias ante verdaderas hordas de enemigos cada vez mejor equipados y poderosos. Mención especial para los combates contra los jefes finales, con esos QTE que ya son marca de la casa. La tercera entrega se caracteriza por ser la más retorcida y espectacular, si cabe, de los 3 juegos originales en lo que concierne a su diseño.

    Creo que he jugado pocos juegos de este género tan redondos como este God of War. Los 3 primeros merecen la pena, pero el 3 es probablemente el mejor de ellos. Must play sin duda.    … Expand

    Juego increíble, a todo el mundo que les guste los juegos de acción este debe ser compra segura si o si, aparte de su buena historia, banda sonora y jugabilidad que tiene el juego.

    Incredible game, everyone who like action games this must be safe buy if or if, apart from its good story, soundtrack and gameplay that has the game.

    God of war III, lo empeze en PS3, pero lastimosamente no pude terminarlo, asi que me lo compre para PS4, un hack and slash asombroso, para mi el mejor juego de Santa Monica Studio, el fin de una trilogia gloriosa, una culminacion total, accion, violencia, historia, combates, quick time events, muy bien aplicados, y una jugabilidad de 10.

    A really nice remaster that elevates the greatness of this game. The combat is frenetic, like every other GOW , the graphics are lovely on PS4 , the combos are even better, the new powers are awesome. A perfect ending to Kratos's revenge. A must have for GOW fans

History with some good turns (others not very interesting), but with a decent closing for the Spartan Kratos that leaves you a bittersweet flavor but at the same time satisfying.     Almost indecently enjoyable. Great hack and slash action through out. Enjoyable, sometimes challenging puzzles,and some insane boss fights. Just great fun to play.

    A zero-hassle remaster of a great action hack 'n' slash. The combat system is still great, even if inferior to that of some Japanese games of the same genre, and the graphics have aged extraordinarily well. Still, as we said, a lot more could have been done in this remaster.

    The fact that the Photo Mode is one of the emphasized features tells everything about how necessary this remaster was and how much effort was put into it. Yes, the textures are sharper, the lighting is better, but the difference is not breathtaking, because the game was already stunningly beautiful before. It’s not how I imagined Kratos’ assault on PS4. So why such a high score? Five years later it’s still an exceptional game and I envy everyone who is to experience this grand adventure for the first time. [09/2015, p.43]
