    A great open world 3d-person close combat fighting game worth every penny.

    * Excellent and engaging fighting system. The mixup of fighting different classes of enemy and choosing the right stance is a lot of fun. Parrying works well and the timing in the game mostly feels really good. There are moments when it can seem a bit broken but for the most time, it is spot on.     They also managed to keep it manageable, there is not a crazy amount of combos that you need to memorize to have a chance.

    * A beautiful open world that is fun exploring - Not huge, but what is there is interesting and beautiful to look at. Art-style is really good, simple but well made. Not sprinkled with a bunch of filler stuff like so many other open world game, what is there is mostly fun and rewarding to do not just a bunch of stupid busy work.

    * Interesting story and characters.

    * Fair quality side-quests to do.

    * Main story requires just about the right amount of time to finish - not a story that drags on and overstays its welcome (im looking at you TLOU2, which I did like but the main story was way to long).

    * Boss fights are not that great. This to me is the one real weakness the game has, the boss fights feel very random and its hard to see a clear pattern to beat them. A lot of time I felt like I was unfairly punished when I "did step out of the way" or "did block" a hit.

    Overall, a great game with some minor flaws, but still in a league of its own    … Expand

    Beautiful and breathtaking. Open world feels like a Mixture of The Witcher and Far Cry. While quest directs are linear and you cannot change the outcome, it’s still beautifully done. The combat is unique, getting used to different stances felt a bit overwhelming at first, but it’s easy to get into after the 1st hour of play through.

Just the riding and climbing is my best experience in this game. Some side missions are great. But... For the thirtieth hour of the main story listening to the same dialogs with the same face expressions on all characters i was exhausted.     If you, like me, desperately seek a game that could stand beside Witcher 3, seek no more, it's here. Ghost of Tsushima is a lesson learned from W3, with slightly worse presentation (subjective!) and much better combat mechanics. Quests are diverse and engaging and the open world just waits for you to explore. Great game!

    The gameworld is beautiful, stunning, graphics and animations are good, combat is fun and they found a middle way, not too simple, not too complicated. I love the stories within the game, love the progression and upgrade system. It's the most fun i had with a game in a while. It's a solid 9 for me. It's a better Assassins Creed, if you want, for me at least.

    Ghost of Tsushima makes assassins creed origin and odyssey feel dated. And I really enjoyed those games. Sucker Punch created a stunning, living world. Graphics are insane, technology is smooth with some incredibly fast teleportation and gameplay mechanics is well though with the wind showing you the way. Yes it does not reinvent the open world genre but definitely push the envelope.Ghost of Tsushima makes assassins creed origin and odyssey feel dated. And I really enjoyed those games. Every time I take the controller I feel like I going back to a world, not a game.

    Ps: I feel bad for those reviews giving this game a low score. How is it possible not the charmed by the elegance of this game. Advice: I recommend playing with Japanese audio and crank the difficulty to hard as soon as you feel powerful enough.    … Expand

    The combat is the best thing on this game , i loved the 4 types of sword fighting. The main story is not that good but the gameplay itself makes this a great game.

    There is not much new innovation in the game, but most of the features are done correctly. Fluent combat system, responsive controls and beautiful visuals. This game has one of the most beautiful worlds I've experienced, I just want to explore more of, even without the side missions. White fields, red and green woods, snowy mountains, and yet there is still so much more. There is many games that features wild life, but I don't remember being allowed to interact with wilderness as Sakai in this game, where you have to follow golden bird or cuddle with the red foxes. It's a small detail but something that makes you feel like a part of the nature.

    Although I liked the protagonist, I can see why some would find him monotone, despite it being explained in the game. Besides that, all the supporting characters are memorable and have great story, whether it's about a tragedy or vengeance.

    Although the game is amazing, there is a few drawbacks. There are some glitches I've come across, but they don't ruin the experience. Another thing that is missing a proper target system, when you're fighting a horde of enemies, it can be frustrating to hit the correct enemy, for a more sufficient result. Another notable cons are enemy AI quite often is brain-dead. One thing that the game is missing is choices that could impact the game, the story line is hinting at that you can be an honorable samurai or stealthy ghost, whatever approach you choose, it never impacts the story. Sucker Punch has great experience in that system from the years of inFamous, so I was kinda expecting to see some for of the system in GoT.

    Overall, I enjoyed the game. With the additional co-op mode coming soon this game will be a 10/10 contender.    … Expand

    Excellent , phenomenal game, Very good gameplay, atmospheric, maybe little melancholic feeling. Great.I like it very much. Not egocentric, with humility goes the "last" samurai through his live.

    It's the best and most beautiful graphic on PS4 in the history. It's like Japanese Assassin's Creed and 2020 PS4 game we are pleased for. In the addition, if you have beaten Sekiro, it's really recommended to play on hard mode.

    Having a blast with this game! Fast loading times, yet great graphics. Also not an insanely big map so that it feels overwhelming. Instead, enough to explore, do and enjoy every little detail of it. AI not always the brightest, but hoping they will patch this.

    I like everything about it, even no target lock at first looked like a hassle but now I don't need it anymore, it's good the way it is. This game is everything I wanted for Samurai game: great combat, beautiful open world, and good storytelling.

Very smooth controls, fighting, climbing, running all is very fluid and easy to control. I loved the clean HUD and using the wind to guide me to my next target was innovative.     Ghost of Tsushima is a Breathtaking experience with it's amazing Visuals and Sound design, It's engaging gameplay and brilliant story telling. the only thing i can actually nitpick at is the Camera when in fights which is why it gets a 9/10. Bloody love this game.

    This is dare I say the most beautiful game ever made. While I personally think its a 9/10, I gave it a 10 due to all the stupid spammers that gave it zero for no reason. This is in all parts, a really good game. I think the characters are great and the story is very well done especially in how it interconnects with the open world. I think Ghost of Tsushima has some of the best side quests out there, and has done a great job filling up the map without making you feel exhausted like Assassins Creed games tend to do. Sucker Punch should be proud of their achievement, and with all the backlash over Last of Us Part 2, I wouldn't surprised if most reviewers hail Ghost of Tsushima as the greatest PS4 exclusive of 2020. Ghost of Tsushima is truly a fitting end to the phenomenal mainstream series of PS4 exclusives that we have been spolied with this gaming generation.… Expand

    Amazing to see what Sucker Punch has achieved going from Infamous Series to Ghost of Tsushima. The game looks gorgeous.the world is so beautiful filled with a lot of activities to enjoy , the wind system really makes the game special and refreshing

    The best samurai game in a long time and a great fun for all, who love action. Love for Japan and its history is a big plus, but its knowledge is not necessary to enjoy every minute of this beautiful game. [Issue#305]

    Ghost of Tsushima is a flawed, but fun, game. While the gameplay itself was solid, and the story was decent, I definitely expected a lot more from Sony’s final PlayStation 4 exclusive. It had enough to keep me hooked, but lacked the polish we’ve all grown to love from a Sony first party game.

    Ultimately, it feels like the game could have benefited from a smaller scope or a more linear structure. Focus on the duels could have created a more engrossing product, especially if it honed in on the narrative for a more concise and cinematic experience. But as it stands, Ghost of Tsushima is another AAA open world title and doesn’t seek to define itself as anything other than that.
