Ghost of Tsushima is an annoying and boring game with a good combat. Also the unskippable cutscenes are a nightmare.

Only thing keeping this from 10 is that the navigation system isn’t the best. That being said, load times and fast travel are implemented so quick and smooth. Also amazing art work through the entire game.

TLDR: This game is incredibly aware of itself. It knows what it is, what story it's trying to tell, what vibe it's trying to establish, and it executes those things fantastically.

When I heard of Ghost of Tsushima, I wasn't really interested that much. Then I heard it was made by Suckerpunch and that pricked my ears up a bit. I loved the Infamous games, but this one seemed a bit

I loved the Infamous games, but this one seemed a bit different. Then I got this game as an unexpected present for my birthday and I'm incredibly happy that I did.

After finishing it, I'm left with many enjoyable memories. To be honest, when I first started playing it, I was a little underwhelmed. I wasn't hooked immediately and I felt a few graphical decisions and things such as map layout were clunky. They also played sound through the PS4 controller, which sounded pretty bad. But these were very short term downsides.

The more I played Ghost, the more I liked it. The world, gameplay and story really built on itself the deeper into the game I got.

    GAMEPLAY:
The shining star of the game. You really feel like a samurai on an epic quest. A well measured drip-feed of new mechanics keep the game fresh and right when a mechanic is starting to feel old or overused, the game moves on or the mechanic is renewed in some way.

    PERFORMANCE:
Never had any issues with lag, crashes or anything of that sort. I have no memory of load screens going too long or anything. Performance was great.

    STORY:
Both the main story and the side quests were well told through the characters which are kept elegant. You're not swamped with 10 million unique characters you can't remember and ever quest feels a bit personal to the character too.

    GRAPHICS:
Again, Suckerpunch knew what this game was and built it accordingly. The aesthetic of the game brings out great beauty while hiding some poor graphics. You don't get high-res zoom ups of peoples faces every single cutscene like some games try for, but this game doesn't need it. The world of Tsushima is beautiful and feels diverse and vibrant.

    CONCLUSION:
Sucker punch of honed their skills since the Infamous games. Ghost of Tushima, while not perfect, really reaches for perfection and gets very close. Every time I put down to controller for the day after playing Ghost, I just wanted to sit by a river and write Haiku.

Ghost of Tsushima manages to capture the setting of feudal Japan and the Samurai perfectly, making it one of the most gorgeous looking games to date, but what could go wrong?

Well unfortunately, the Open World is just a very beautiful wallpaper, there's no risk or depth here, it's the same old formula that gets tedious after a while.

To be frank, there's a big variety of tools when it comes to combat, and the feeling of the Katana is excellent, smooth animations and many abilities to unlock, it's a very enjoyable experience despite the repetitive and shallow quest design, which is by far the biggest problem of the game.

As for the story, it's pretty simple, predictable and very forgettable, the pacing is all over the place and most characters are uninteresting, but there are some pretty great emotional scenes that are very well done.

In the end I was left a little bit disappointed, because honestly, I couldn't get attached to this game, but I really had fun playing it, that being said, it's a solid experience overall.

    Final Rating: "Good" ~ 7/10.

This is one of the greatest games of all time. The characters are great and the journey Jin goes through to become the Ghost is incredible.

A basic yet captivating story with an emotional conclusion, a great oriental environment and soundtrack. And the game play is just perfect. It flows so smoothly!!!

A must play for any gamer.

25 hours in and this is my game of the year for sure. The story and characters are memorable, the exploration is by far the best of this generation (has an amazing wind feature that keeps the HUD minimal in a logical way), and the combat!!! While the elements are similar such as parry timing, the stances and tools make it easy to pick up and easy to get relatively good at. A negative is the camera. Sometimes it won't track well and especially when transitioning into buildings/tents. I do think the game could have used a lock-on feature as well to help with combat camera in these situations. This is really what Assassin's Creed should aspire to be like. Expand

The combat system at first glance is loaded with enough depth and complexity to make it enjoyable, but it falls apart when you are surrounded by enemies (which happens 90% of the time). Because of the highly zoomed in camera and the atrocious FOV, enemies constantly move off camera and hit you blindly, and trying to keep them all on screen is very fiddly and frustrating. Stealth is the absolute bare minimum, there is no depth to it, and you are being chastised for using it even though it's a core part of mission design. The writing is serviceable, it moves things along, but it's never spectacular. Exploration rewards you with some collectables and nice vistas, but the world is empty. There are no environmental stories being told. You can't tell your friend "I was exploring the world in GoT yesterday, and I found those super cool things". There are no cool things, only supplies and iron and bamboo sticks. Overall, I certainly expected more from such a game in 2020. When its good elements are on display, Ghost of Tsushima is phenomenal, but it also seems to be somewhat stuck in the past. Expand

A very mediocre game. The combat is extremely generic and maybe even worse than that. The combat and mechanics overall are just very bland. The story is fairly decent though. I’d give it a 6, maybe a 7 for the story. I’m just very disappointed overall with this game.

I dreaded every misson with the ugly yoda looking female side kick and the political pandering that would acompany them. This Japanede island is apparently full of woman warriors that far surpass the men.. OK!!!! yer the pandering and super wahmen stuff is strong with modern plastation.
This is an ubisoft clone ( modern pretty long winded ,grind heavy) its repetative, slow and boring, doing the same few things over and over. Actualy Game play is spread thin and most of your time is spent holding the left stick foward a clicking to pick up something ocasionally.. Like all PS ecclusives it is heavily story based and the story was a generic , dull history lesson. Hated the character, which is a these with modern PS games.

Я, как Главный редактор самого популярного ресурса, недоволен количеством чемоданов от Sony после The Last of Us: Part II

Ghost of Tsushima is by far the best game I have ever played in 2020 because of the satisfying combat and the incredible views that you will see in the game. I think Sucker Punch made an excellent game after the Infamous second son. The only Bad thing about this game is just sometimes game repeat itself but I didn't felt like that much but overall this game is enjoyable.

Ghost of Tsushima is a flawed, but fun, game. While the gameplay itself was solid, and the story was decent, I definitely expected a lot more from Sony’s final PlayStation 4 exclusive. It had enough to keep me hooked, but lacked the polish we’ve all grown to love from a Sony first party game.

Ultimately, it feels like the game could have benefited from a smaller scope or a more linear structure. Focus on the duels could have created a more engrossing product, especially if it honed in on the narrative for a more concise and cinematic experience. But as it stands, Ghost of Tsushima is another AAA open world title and doesn’t seek to define itself as anything other than that.
