    Sucker Punch completely came through with a really solid AAA open-world experience that, while clearly taking inspiration from games such as Assassin's Creed, The Witcher 3, Sekiro and others, manages to feel very original.

    Graphics - its aesthetic is amazing and probably one of my favorites from this generation (if not ever), the graphics are very good albeit not the best and somewhat downgraded from what was shown in the trailers;

    Story - Decent enough, very engaging and the side quests are really good (very reminiscent of Witcher 3);

    Gameplay - Combat feels satisfying and impactful (in contrast to the latest AC games or even Witcher 3 which in comparison feel a bit lacking), no hand-holding, lots of tools and ways to customize your play-style. If the enemy AI and overall stealth was as solid as the combat itself, it would have been basically perfect!

The sunsets & sunrises are some of the best I’ve seen in a video game! There are truly some beautiful moments to take in! The guiding wind feature is really cool too! The load times are very quick also, you’re not waiting long to get into the action! There is a reason why Ghost of Tsushima has the highest user review score on Metacritic! It is sad to think that GOT is probably the last game i will buy for my PS4 :( On the other hand, what an excellent game to end the PS4’s reign!!!!! In case you were wondering, i am loving this game!!!!! :) Expand

    After six years,Sucker Punch presents us with a completely different game once again. The following is divided into two parts for comments of 'Ghost of Tsushima'.

    Advantages:

    +The art style of the game is very Oriental, even in the case of high reuse rate of materials, the production team can still control it very well, without aesthetic fatigue.

    +The combat system, highly realistic action capture, clean sword, highly ornamental performance in the game.

    +Gameplay and the main narrative complement each other. In the early stage of the game, the fighting style is dominated by the positive samurai sword confrontation. In the later stage, according to the development of the story, there will be more "Ghost" style things to play, which greatly increases the playability of the game.

    +The exploration elements of the open world are closely related to the player's attribute enhancement, which enhances the player's desire to explore the world instead of just cleaning it up.

    Disadvantages:

    - the details of the game still need to be improved,Lot of bug still there.

    - the expression of the characters is too rigid, especially when the characters are talking.

    "Ghost of Tsushima" still needs to improved, but the best part of this game is to develop its strengths and avoid its weaknesses. This is one of the essential elements of an excellent game. It is still a excellent game, Not Perfect, but brilliant.

I have often seen critics say that “the combat was great but the narrative was nothing special”, and I can’t even begin to explain how much I disagree. The story takes place on the island of Tsushima, which was where the actual Mongol invasion began. You play as Jin Sakai, the nephew of Lord Shimura, the man who lead an unsuccessful defense against the invading Mongols, which resulted in the massacre of almost every Samurai on the island. As one of the few survivors, Jin and his allies fight to liberate their homeland, and prevent the Mongols from reaching the mainland. If you know anything about the Samurai, you’ll know that they had an unshakable code of honor that defined how they fought on the battlefield. The thing that makes Khotun Khan such a compelling villain (other than the obvious reasons), is that as an invader he has studied his enemies, and uses his knowledge to exploit the Samurai’s virtues. For example at the beginning of the game he is challenged to a duel by a renowned warrior, and proceeds to shower him in oil and light him on fire. Because of these exploits, Jin has absolutely no chance of overcoming his opponents unless he chooses to adapt, striking from the shadows and stabbing his foes in the back. This cleverly opens the narrative to a third conflict. Whilst Jin is celebrated by the people as their savior, his superiors, fellow warriors and uncle all look upon him with shame, having seen him openly betray their laws and values. With every act, there is at least one major event that involves an epic battle that features lots of story progress, and every time they are nothing short of incredible. One thing that really stood out to me was the calm before the storm moments. Like in the Witcher 3 before the battle of Khaer Morhen you’re given the option to talk to all your companions, and learn how they are feeling about the upcoming battle. This provides a mix of dread and anticipation that you won’t see very often. The characters are also a feature in this game that I think are often overlooked. Jin himself is said to be pretty standard and unmemorable by many players, but I found him to be an extremely compelling protagonist. His voice acting was great, and as a character he has a beautiful arc of overcoming grief from his dead family, and learning to do what is necessary in order to save his people. The only character that I had any problems with at all was Sensei Ishikawa, due bad first impressions (he just came across as annoyingly arrogant). As for the gameplay, I don’t know what to say other than it’s fantastic. The combat is one of my favorites in any game period, although by the end I had fully upgraded everything and mastered it to an extent, so If you reach that point I’d recommend turning up the difficulty (final duel lasted me like 2 minutes tops). The stealth does suffer from extremely dumb AI, and is forced upon you a bit too much in the main game, but eventually I learned to embrace it and for that I enjoyed it much more. In some ways it’s pretty much the assassins creed game I’ve wanted for years. The open world is also absolutely stunning and a joy to explore. Unfortunately the first part of the island we are given doesn’t have the most varied environments, but once you finish act 1 that’s no longer an issue. There are also plenty of Mongol forts littered around the map so you’ll have plenty to do even when you’ve finished the main story. I do however wish that there was some more urban city like areas, and although the exaggerated environments are gorgeous I was hoping for something more realistic, but I can’t complain considering how great the game looks. Speaking of looks, there is also an excellent photo mode that allows you to capture and customize amazing shots to you’re hearts desire, whether it be changing the color grading or adding particle effects. You also have the option to switch the Kurosawa mode which changes it to black and white, with more authentic 50-60s movie audio. It’s a nice tribute to one of my favorite movie directors and I’ve heard that many people are discovering his films for the first time. Of course it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. The pacing in the first act is pretty poor, and the lack of combat abilities it gives you at the start might turn off newcomers. There are also some pretty boring side events on the map, like following foxes to get charm slots ( Expand

I never used fast travel in this game for the reason that riding a horse in this world is so immersive, that i want to feel the cold breeze, the smell of flowers as you go quest by quest.

    The sword fight is so damn good. The mechanic to switch stances between enemy types is something new - atleast to me.

    The stealth, i must be honest, the AI is so DUMB even on highest difficulty that it drags away the xperience of becoming a ghost. I expect it atleast in the level of tlou2.

    The traversal is not that fluid, most of the time your movement will blocked by small things that you thought should already be passable - you know when you push the L STICK hard

    Main Story is decent, i wish they added more mythic tales though. Despite all the bugs and frustrations i got in this game, this game gives an awesome samurai experience. Another flawed masterpiece.

    I hope TLOU2 will win GOTY, but if, not Ghost really deserves the award as well.

I'll be honest I m already starting my second playthrough and I can anticipate many more.

    Ghost of Tsushima is a flawed, but fun, game. While the gameplay itself was solid, and the story was decent, I definitely expected a lot more from Sony’s final PlayStation 4 exclusive. It had enough to keep me hooked, but lacked the polish we’ve all grown to love from a Sony first party game.

    Ultimately, it feels like the game could have benefited from a smaller scope or a more linear structure. Focus on the duels could have created a more engrossing product, especially if it honed in on the narrative for a more concise and cinematic experience. But as it stands, Ghost of Tsushima is another AAA open world title and doesn’t seek to define itself as anything other than that.
