    + Kurosawa mode looks awesome

Exceptionally fun game. Yes that’s right fun. Not political or trying to be a social commentary. The fact TLOU2 got in the 90s and this the 80s just goes to show the horrible direction games might go but show the love for this. It’s a game full of life and fun, exploration and wonder.

The only negative for me has been the camera angle in some fights and the stealth which isn’t as good

The only negative for me has been the camera angle in some fights and the stealth which isn’t as good as it perhaps could have been. But when the combat is so much fun who cares? The bow is great too, especially the longbow. So satisfying.

    Great game,story, and graphics
    Beautiful scenery
    Attached to characters
Any game that can successfully get me mad over a loss of a good character (not like pissed at game but mad at how a character kills em off) makes me want to avenge the person and make me cry is an automatic top 10 for me

Jogo maravilhoso.

I went into this game with absolutely zero knowledge about the story or plot, and I was completely blown away. The graphics, combat, and story were all amazing. The combat is fun, smooth, intuitive, and extremely satisfying. Has surpassed Spider-Man as my favorite PS4 game.

Absolutely incredible game. World looks amazing and is very immersive. Combat is very smooth and feels very engaging. Main story is a bit short but plenty of side content to do that while optional, still feels like it ties into the main narrative and doesn't feel like a chore to do. My advice is to take your time with the game because it is all a blast to play.

    my only two complaints

my only two complaints are the lack of a lock on feature in combat which can cause the camera to occasionally go behind objects in the world so you cant see where enemies are, and walking across the tightropes or slack lines can be clunky.

overall i haven't been this enticed and engaged by a single player title since Horizon Zero Dawn. incredible game.

Ghost of Tsushima is an incredible game that puts you in the shoes of a lone samurai who is hell-bent on revenge. Ghost of Tsushima is an incredible game that puts you in the shoes of a lone samurai who is hell-bent on revenge. You’ll explore the gorgeous and beautifully crafted island of Tsushima, duel lone Ronin and Mongol Generals, hone your combat skills, help those in need, and employ unconventional tactics against your enemies. So, let’s dig right in.

I can’t say this enough, but the visuals are absolutely incredible. Watching the silhouette of your figure against the backdrop of a setting sun during a duel or traversing the world is nothing less than cinematic…it’s that good. If you want the best combat experience and the motivation to better yourself at it, then I highly suggest playing on Lethal. Being aware of the enemies around you and where they are, timing your dodges and parries, switching between stances to deal with certain enemy types, taking advantage of the terrain and using every tool at your disposal is paramount to surviving each battle. Taking even a single hit spells trouble, but you’re also just as dangerous if your execution is spot on. The ability to confront and control each fight as you see fit is invigorating: stealth, range, or toe to toe; it’s your choice. By exploring you'll stumble upon locations (hot springs, bamboo strikes, etc.) that increases health or gives you some really cool cosmetic items. Last but not least, the story is just effin’ badass: you begin as a broken and beaten samurai who is forced to go against everything he stands for to overcome the overwhelming odds, and through his actions, becomes the stuff of legends and becomes revered and feared by everyone.

No game is without flaws, and I think my biggest one with it is the repetitiveness. The main and side stories are definitely great and enthralling, but between those stories, exploring the world can kind of feel empty. Your options are pretty limited: hunt down sites that increase your stats, engage in combat with bandits or Mongol patrols, or continue on with the story. The first time I came across a small village that had been untouched by the Mongols with people going about their business, I became excited because I might get the opportunity to talk to them and hear what they have to say. But, I quickly realized that, although you can talk to a select few of the villagers, they would only offer you vague hints of game mechanics. I was hoping that I could talk to everyone and gain some small insight on the story, lore, whatever; but instead, you come across these villages, look for resources, then move on. I was disappointed because there was so much potential to build this world the developers have created even further.

Here’s the bottom line, Ghost of Tsushima is just an awesome game. The game does so many things right, and I know you’ll have as much as a blast with it as I have. If you’re a fan of old school samurai movies and great storytelling, then look no further than this.

Ghost of Tsushima is a flawed, but fun, game. While the gameplay itself was solid, and the story was decent, I definitely expected a lot more from Sony’s final PlayStation 4 exclusive. It had enough to keep me hooked, but lacked the polish we’ve all grown to love from a Sony first party game.

Ultimately, it feels like the game could have benefited from a smaller scope or a more linear structure. Focus on the duels could have created a more engrossing product, especially if it honed in on the narrative for a more concise and cinematic experience. But as it stands, Ghost of Tsushima is another AAA open world title and doesn’t seek to define itself as anything other than that.
