    A true masterpiece!
SJW free , a good story and the developers don’t false advertise and lye to their fans unlike The Last Of Us Part II

Just finished this incredible game. I went the completionist route with all the side and legendary quests. I may have over-inundated myself with missions. Because I got maybe a little anxious for the game to end so I can start something new.

To put it frank - this game is GORGEOUS, riding your horse throughout the countryside is a treat all in itself, it's just gorgeous I can't

To put it frank - this game is GORGEOUS, riding your horse throughout the countryside is a treat all in itself, it's just gorgeous I can't reiterate that enough. I've never seen anything like it. In terms of open world, the formula stays the same as many others in the genre (think Days Gone vs RDR2).

The story is relatively straight forward. Drive the Mongols out. The side quests are more exciting and mysterious then the main story line. Jin Sakai is a pretty cool main character, but I found myself wanting more substance from him.

    CONS:
    - not enough unique equipment or armor options
    - main quest was very black and white. Kill bad guy, save land. I mean... okay all games are technically like that, but they fluff it up. GOT does not fluff it up.

Esse jogo é excelente, me prendeu do início ao fim, um ótimo combate, uma história um pouco clichê mas muito boa, boss fights muito bem feitas e os gráficos são lindos, recomendo muito

Just played it recently and all I can say is that this game is a masterpiece with great visuals, story, acting, and just being overall too damn easy to be distracted with many side activities. The only thing that bothered me was that there were too many fox dens to do even after I had unlocked all charms slots and made the grind to 100% completion kinda tedious. It's a good game. It is not every year that we have the opportunity to be in the shoes of a samurai. However, it is a game that could have been better done. When the characters go to talk, they look just like wax dolls without reaction. They don't even have gesticulations. I think I should have stayed a little longer in the oven to improve certain points of the game.

While the vistas look gorgeous, sad fact is that the game world lacks small detail. So, once you have seen those pretty vistas, there is nothing much else to see.

And exploring the map once was super fun, but I would not do it again. Does not really have the replay value of AC games in that.

I can not fathom some of these critic reviews of this game, Its rating should atleast be 90. Majority of the time I'd trust the user review score over the critic ratings, except for a few rare occasions (The Last of Us 2) they better reflect how good the game is. Moving on to the actual game. I'll start with combat. It starts off pretty great as you learn and get used to the basic controls and to me is so cool. You genuinely feel finesse and satisfaction as you fight battle enemies breaking there gued and then as you finish them you will have an almost set animation where he trips the enemy up after stabbing them, oh slices there chest as you stay in the pose just to make it more baddass . You fight many enemies at a time at points and there is lots of variety. As you progress through the story or explore the world you will comes across different types of enemies who can make you want to take a different approach in killing them. You could shoot at range with a bow, fight head first or stealth kill them. When fighting multiple people you can very seamlessly switch between opponets to parey ther attacks as they attack you at once, parrying leaves the enemy open for a combo and if you get attacked mid combo you can parry the other opponent where you can either continue your combo agaisnt them or finish the original opponent Expand

Combat is fast-paced and challenging, at least in the beginning, and who doesn't love the samurai, their absolute courage and dedication?
Unfortunately I've spent a bit too much going around in search of fox dens, pillars of honor and sashimono banners, and now every mission feels the same. Combat is still fun, especially since I give up most artificial advantages. No assassinations, no blowgun, no armor. Much more fun played the samurai way. On the other hand, I've grown more and more bored with Jin, the protagonist, and the dialogues in the game. He's not a samurai, or at least he doesn't behave like one. He's a western idealized white knight that doesn't belong in medieval Japan, treating every servant, merchant, peasant or thief like a friend and an equal. I guess this decision was meant to let the player identify with him, but it's anachronistic. Also, there's unfortunately no secondary mission that goes beyond banality. Mongols kill a family, you find injured wife. Wife beseeches you to save abducted husband, just before dying. You save husband, he mourns wife. You meet frightened peasants: "We are from XYZ Village, the Mongols have killed everyone". You kill Mongols, free village, people return. You find disheartened wench: "Oh Lord Sakai, father was abducted by kappa!". You search for the killer "demons", obviously find bandits instead. You kill bandits, tell daughter to go to safe house, "Thank you Lord Sakai", bye bye. Really mundane stuff; while it's true that most games give you this kind of situation, dialogues here are almost cringeworthy in their linearity.
Moreover, there's an excessive female presence, as expected. The first character you encounter is Yuna, a female thief who walks around with a katana (wouldn't that be punishable by death?) and protects her weak brother. You soon meet Lady Adachi, a perfect female samurai who fears nothing and never falters, and is your companion in a side quest branch where you help her avenge her family. ALL RIGHT, I guess that female warriors are present in Japanese legends, so I can live with that, at least the game does not pretend they were fighting wars together with men. On the other hand, the male counterpart to Lady Adachi, a disgruntled master archer, is obviously an oaf and most definitely at fault for his (female) pupil's betrayal. Then you are following the tracks of a murderer and Jin goes: "THEY have gone this way". I honestly find it hard to believe that a 13th Century samurai would use the politically correct, non-gendered plural for ONE murderer. Finally, when a mission saw Lady Adachi and Jin track and kill a treacherous wife beater, it was really too much for me.

TL;DR - Supremely beautiful game that is fun to play but disrespectful to its setting. Boring dialogues, unlikely protagonist. Injects political correctness and western values into the samurai society, but is still less obnoxiously feminist than most titles nowadays.

The Game looks fantastic even on a standard PS4. It runs smoothly and the leaves, fog and the low standing sun often create a wonderful mood. Also noteworthy is the absence of the HUD, which helps to further immerse yourself. With the guiding-wind mechanic you don't even have to open the Map to find you’re next Objective.

The story is compelling and keeps you going for the most part. The side characters have nice little story arcs as well, which are optional.
Besides the main quest there are bandit camps to clear and loot. But with the fighting system, which took me some time to get used to, it’s fun and doesn’t get too repetitive.
Ghost of Tsushima doesn’t do anything groundbreaking but it’s so well made, with some cool new Ideas, that it stands out between all the other Open-World-Games.

Ghost of Tsushima is a flawed, but fun, game. While the gameplay itself was solid, and the story was decent, I definitely expected a lot more from Sony’s final PlayStation 4 exclusive. It had enough to keep me hooked, but lacked the polish we’ve all grown to love from a Sony first party game.

Ultimately, it feels like the game could have benefited from a smaller scope or a more linear structure. Focus on the duels could have created a more engrossing product, especially if it honed in on the narrative for a more concise and cinematic experience. But as it stands, Ghost of Tsushima is another AAA open world title and doesn’t seek to define itself as anything other than that.
