    I will start off by saying, "Do not skip this gem from Sucker Punch!" As a late-gen title, Ghost of Tsushima shines the brightest. Every facet of it delivers and makes for a game that combines gameplay and narrative so seamlessly. Yes, I never knew slashing through enemies (or dueling them) and unravelling a revenge story in Ghost could be this engaging!     First off, i played this game on a base PS4 on a LG9 TV and i can not begin to tell you how stunning it looked. It is 100 percent the most beautiful looking game on a console. I could sit here all night and tell you about how wonderful the game is and how cool Lord Sakai is but i will instead list my dislikes as my likes are too many.     Amazing and breathtaking game. If poetry was a game, this is it. A great story that is engaging and emotional. It has a couple of gut-punching moments that really makes its mark.

    Design wise, this game is one of the most beautiful and artsy game ever.

    Do not skip out on this one, you will thank me.

    Very diverse gameplay. Once you start to learn how to parry, switching fight stances on the fly during the middle of combat, the skills you unlock, the charm buffs, the various accessories you get to help you fight. Your ghost abilities give you multiple stealth assassinate abilities the game is so awesome.
    There is no hud on then screen only when    Game of the year contender here is why.

Your ghost abilities give you multiple stealth assassinate abilities the game is so awesome.

    There is no hud on then screen only when you want to activate an action command there is the wind chimes that help you navigate where to go by blowing wind on the various plants in the world that bend towards the direction you need to go.

    You can plan attacks when entering the various mongol bases in a variety of ways. Take out watchers by bow, sneak in from the roofs and start picking enemies off one by one as if you were Batman. Use darts one of which can 6 there are many ways to approach each situation.

    The world is beautiful where you can just follow smoke in the sky to a camp, follow the wind to new destinations, follow the foxes to shrines, follow the birds, gateways and other environmental clues that makes it feel so much more immersive.

    The developers also are giving additional content in the form of new game plus, online multiplayer mode, additional customization options and much more all as part of the game for no additional charge. Developers take note this is how you make and deliver a game.    … Expand

    Sure some of the side quests are fetch quests or make you feel like you're repeating a bit. But they're optional. The story is great and the mechanics are a ton of fun. Fantastic game.

    This game gave it's target audience exactly what they want. A great story of a badass hero wearing badass armor outfits with a fun engaging combat mechanic to fight invading bad guys. This game is the best way to visit ancient Japan as a samurai. I wish there will be more games like this that focus for it's target audience.

    So basically I think it's a great game and I attribute that sentiment to the world of GoT. I just really liked the world. It was a beautiful world to be in and walk around. Rarely do I stop to admire the scenery in triple A games even though games like Uncharted 4 repeatedly tell you to **** do it. However in this game I found myself purposefully walking instead of running just so I couldSo basically I think it's a great game and I attribute that sentiment to the world of GoT. I just really liked the world. It was a beautiful world to be in and walk around. However in this game I found myself purposefully walking instead of running just so I could soak it all in. The story is well told. If you know anything about samurai you know they wouldn't be down for sneaking around and stabbing people in the back. Thankfully the story touches on this a lot, more than just a throw away justification. The side characters also have their own side missions that focus on their storyline. Those weren't too interesting to me so frankly didn't finish any of them. My time in the world clocked in around 30 hours I would guess.

    The gameplay is fun and exciting because successfully parrying is very important as it gives you the ability to heal and do special moves. However the gameplay doesn't really change as your progress. There are duels, which essentially are boss fights, but they are pretty much the same throughout. The enemies are slightly different but overall the same. You have different stances to deal with different enemy types but that also doesn't feel like a noticeable change to the gameplay. I don't have a problem with this but it should be mentioned. Speaking of the boss fights, they are intense! And failure doesn't feel punishing. You start the duel right from the beginning a mere 5 or so seconds after gameover. Actually I kind of wished there was a press X to continue option just so I could collect myself before the rematch. But who can complain about ultra fast load times right?    … Expand

    Simply incredible!!! Beautiful graphics, amazing combat, many secrets to uncover, and great voice acting! No agenda and most importantly the game is FUN!!!

    Occasional graphical “bleeds” ie...grass outside a tent or structure popping through solid walls...but nothing major and easily lived with.
    Definitely buy this game if you enjoy beautiful open worlds, non linear play, challenging boss fights and a rich, detailed story. Easily my personal “Game of the Year” so far.    … Expand

    This game is not a 10 at all. Its an extremely average game. When I first started out playing I did see its potential that unfortunately got boring fast. I'm just glad I purchased it on disc because I ended up trading it in.

    Feel free to give it a go but much better games are available than this!

    Excellent combat (a bit hack & slash, but entirely new) and a wonderful scenery. Unfortunately, most of the (unnecessarily many) side quests are somehow in repeat. Scenario is OK! At the end of the day, most of the credits go to the beautiful scenes, sound and environment (reminding me of Kurosawa in RAN)!!!

    This is one of my favorite games of all time. Easily in the top 3. I'm not saying it's the best game of all time and it might not be everyone's type of game but I absolutely love it. I love japanese folk lure and myths/legends. And it's gotta be one of if not the most beautiful game I've ever seen. The artwork, the weather and even down to the leaves just make it so immersive. I think theThis is one of my favorite games of all time. Easily in the top 3. I'm not saying it's the best game of all time and it might not be everyone's type of game but I absolutely love it. Немного не понравилось открывать вручную карту, как-то привычнее вышки, но это наверное дело вкуса и разрабы внесли нечто новое в жанр. Считаю что с этой игрой разработчики вышли на новый уровень.Отличная игра. Стилистика, боёвка супер. Хорошее времяпрепровождение обеспечено.     I thoroughly enjoyed GoT. I got the Platinum trophy and enjoyed just about every second of Jin's journey.

    The story was good enough--nothing crazy and nothing really caught me off guard. I cared about Jin but cared more for his companion's--I feel like Noria, Taka, Lady M, and such all had more character development than Jin but that is OK.     The game does get repetitive if you are trying to clear every settlement and town. While killing Mongols is awesome due to the combat being challenging and fun ( I loved trying to get perfect parrys) going into a town and clearing them of Mongols got old after a bit.

    The Tales were all solid. Again, the writing did not blow my mind but the Tale were, for the most part, unique enough to be interesting. They weren't always "go here, find this person, kill them," but tended to have some kind of twist or variation. I liked that.

    The game may be the best looking on the PS4. The setting is amazing and SuckerPunch nailed the views. I'd say this game is a must-play for all.    … Expand

    I'm going to start this by saying I haven't finished this game, I only got a lot bit into act two. The only reason I stopped here is because I felt like I experienced all the game had to offer. All the enemies were the same, all the "bosses" were the same, no new weapons, and all the areas look the same. I would keep playing if it gave me something new, but right now I'm just bored.     I've only played 5 hours, but so far this game is fantastic! The combat feels incredible and the story is gripping. The world is also incredibly beautiful and immersive.

    Pros: Absolutely beautiful graphics, gorgeous environments and fun gameplay
    Cons: Recycled cutscenes, overall the story feels repetitive ex: go to Point A, kill the Mongols, go to Point B, kill the Mongols, and so on.

    I really liked GoT but it didn't draw me in as deep as some other games out there. Definitely one of the top ten games on the PS4 but the story felt a little hollow at times.

    What a great game, such a joy to play. This how to do open world games, the game is presented well has a great combat and upgrade system. The story is fantastic and creates a world full of people you care about. you can get lost in the world for hours can't wait for the coop update.

    After getting platinum on this game, I can whole heartedly say this has been one of the most enjoyable, thrilling, calming and exciting gaming experience I have ever had. Every single aspect of this game is amazing and is expertly crafted with great care to the history, language and culture of ancient Japan. A MUST PLAY if you own a PS4. The only downside of the game was the difficulty,After getting platinum on this game, I can whole heartedly say this has been one of the most enjoyable, thrilling, calming and exciting gaming experience I have ever had. Every single aspect of this game is amazing and is expertly crafted with great care to the history, language and culture of ancient Japan. A MUST PLAY if you own a PS4.     I am almost 19 hours into the game. And I love it! Ghost of Tsushima is a beautiful PS4 exclusive game, containing vivid imagery and a profound story. My only objection is the game's fps. The game's frame-rate can hit as low as 20 fps at times, which does not ruin the gaming experience, but it is annoying to say the least. Overall, this minor issue is neglectable compared to the entireI am almost 19 hours into the game. And I love it!     Its not only a good game but beautiful. The mechanics are smooth. Have encountered just 1 bug , wich is rare for a open world game.especialy on launch. And the fast loading of a kill or fast travel realy improves the quality . And the wind mechanics is awsome. it turned out to be a better game than i expected. now thats the suprise i had with the game.

The combat is fun and engaging, and I find myself preferring open combat to sneaking and assassination. The flow is good, and the constant scissor-paper-stone of stances and types of enemies keep things interesting.

    However, a few things keep it from attaining true greatness on the level of something like Breath of the Wild.

    The first and biggest problem is running. Jin and his horse very often seems to get caught on some invisible terrain and bring your sprint to a sudden half. This happens so often that sometimes you feel like you are stuck. This really distracts you and prevents you from immersing yourself into the game.

    The 2nd major problem is the platforming aspects of the game. It is just terrible. Jin doesn't "sticky" to the correct places during the platforming segment, and often you just randomly jump off a cliff when you expect to make the jump. The developers could have learnt from many really good 3D platformers in the past. But they didn't.

    The last minor niggle is the fact that the whole game feels iterative. It's not bad, but it doesn't really do anything revolutionary.

    If the devs fix the running problem and platforming issues, I'd give this a 8. As it is, it shows a lack of polish that makes it undeserving of a higher score. I can't believe people overlook some of these fundamental aspects of making a game and gives this game such a high score    … Expand

    I really love the game. They made carefully each detail in the game. You can choice your Samurai combat style and it increases the players feelings. Ghost of tsushima deserves GOTY. Thanks for this game!

    When I began watching gameplay it seemed like a Sekiro 2.0, which I didn´t like at all. But after it was released and there was gameplay and reviews everywhere I was shown that this game can´t be compared to Sekiro alone.     But after it was released and there was gameplay and reviews everywhere I was shown that this game can´t be compared to Sekiro alone.
    If I have to compare it, I would say it is a mix of Sekiro, Nioh and Batman Arkham.
    Sekiro and Nioh for the fight gameplay and the stances and Batman Arkham for the Combat Flow and the lower difficulty then Souls like games.
    But fear not, the Stances in Ghost of Tsushima aren´t tedious, they are optional and way easier to use then in Nioh. So after I got used to them I switched between Stances on the run and had the most fun in this fluent combat for a while.
    Honorable mention is, you can sneak up on enemies in Assassins Creed style and try to kill all your enemies without anyone noticing, but the normal combat is way to much fun.

    The graphics are beatiful as well, yes it os not as beautiful as The Last of Us 2 BUT that is because Sekiro is a Open World Game (more about that in a bit).
    The story as well is a masterpiece on it´s own. At the beginning it seems boring and tedious, but after the first act it really gets SO much better and couldn´t stop playing the story. Emotional Moments, Plot Twists and Surprises, there is something for everybody.

    But as mentioned a few sentences before, this game is unfortunately an Open World game.
    There are some side missions that contribute to the Main story, but I would guess 70% of the side missions are go to Place A, kill everybody, done or flollow person B, kill everybody, done.
    The collectibles and upgrades are also fun to look for in the beginning, but the more you progress the more tedious it gets.

    So if Ghost of Tsushima would have had a more linear gameplay it would have been a Game of the Year contender for sure. But with all the Ubisoft-like side mission and collectible design it just isn´t the best game of the year.    … Expand

    Here you play as jin, a samuri that sets ojt to stop the mongols, but your entire journey is an internal struggle of honor the samari way, or in the shadows the ezio way… ghost of tsushi,a does not mask that it sets out to marry the wither 3 and the desmond saga of assassins creed, and this is what it does… the open world here is absolutely stunning, its beautiful, second only to the witcher 3.. however while great to look at, it doesn’t ever really feel alive, its not enticing or full of intrigue, its just something really pretty to look at while youre riding from mission to mission, however there is some incentive to explore as this is a map cleaner, not an overwhelming map cleaner like recent ac games have become, but just the right balance of do I wanna ignore the store and find some collecabtles or do some side missions to level up my character or gear? Which brings me to the skill tree and progression in this game.. its alright… I feel a skill tree should make the game youre playing more enjoyable, and ghosts of tsushimas does to an extent, but again not anything drastic here, I eenjoyed initially hunting won materials, caliming mongol territories as my own so that I would upgrade my sword and armour, but after I got to a point wher I felt comfortable existing in this would, there was not much I cared to save up for which in turn lead me to ignoring the side activities and going right through this 18 hour long story after I got bored of its world… really showing why exactly ubisoft has stayed away from this setting.. theres not much you can do in a forest setting outside of the fantasy genre… when it comes to stealth and combat, this is an aspect where ghost of tsushima feels a bit dated and janky, neither of the two options are any fun, I find shield clashing in combat to be highly unsatisfying, and this is how ghost of tsushima feels from start to finish, I like that batman arkham feel when youre just beating up a bunch of grunts, I hate hwoever when the riot shield guys come in to break up my flow… this is literally every eveny in ghost of tsushima, the spam hold the block button like your little sister playing a fighting game with you, I get that this game has different stances to deal with each weapon type, but still.. its annoying and made me dread combat… I would use the stand off option every chance I got so id have the opportunity to take out as many enemies out before battle starts as possible just to not deal with them… this is not a good sign in a game so combat focused and heavy… and onto the mission structure and story.. its boring, no memorable missions, tons of missions that have that good ole, don’t get detected or you automatically fail stipulation of assassins creed fame, and its again just annoying.. you don’t really feel you have the tools necessary at your disposal to make stealth missions like this enjoyable like they can be in an assassins creed game.. and constant return to the story area countdowns really making me feel like im in the animus.. that being said, ghost of tsushima is a great game… hard to believe with all of the ranting I just did, but I loved it… it took a good 10 hours until I was bored of its open world, and again this world Is gorgeous, it’s a great experience alone just to be able to live in this world, to chase down its legendary moves, obviously certain missions are necessary to unlocking different abilities, but ghost of tsushima would almost be a better game without a campaign, just a world to go explore and breathe in.
    And you have no idea how happy I am that we no longer have to hear assassins creed fans cry about feaudal japan .
    I give Ghost of Tsushima

    Very inferior version of what Ubisoft has been doing with open worlds, and a very poor interpretation of Japanese culture and history. Gameplay wise it is very shallow compared with games like the soulsborne series.

    Utterly fantastic experience. This game has it all, I have been missing having such a great game to play for a long time and as an added bonus my love for samurai culture is deeply satisfied. Sure, there are several things where the game could be improved upon, however, it does not matter when you have such a complete package like this.

    Excellent game, on every aspect, environment, beautiful landscapes, combat, character depth, ultra short loading screens, random encounters, main history long enough and a lot of side quest, I don't think it can get any better than this. I just couldn't stop playing the game

This work was created by a Western company based on the motive of another country, but it is surprisingly well understood and well described. Due to the characteristics of the subject matter of this work, it inevitably contains beautification of samurai, but I personally don't think it's a big problem because it also clearly describes the part of alternative history, or rather degrades it. As for the action, it's perfectly designed. I think it is a very good judgment that Parry created a special attack by enemies that cannot be prevented in several stages so that it is not a universal measure. It's a big disappointment that there's no additional content or newgame+, but it's a great masterpiece that ended the twilight of PS4.… Expand

It has so much variety in it. Swordfight is fun and brutal. Graphic is good, not the best but not too shabby. I hope the boulder and npc face looks better and more diverse but overall it is fine. Amo este juego lo complete al cien, ver como jin, se das cuenta que ser un samurai no funciona, y tenga que romper la ley del bushido (o del shogun) en rescatar a su tío y regrese por su padre (su armadura) cuando jin escucha la noticia de su tío de que el shogunato apruebe oficialmente la adopción a jin. cuando jin se infiltra en el castillo shimura para envenenar al enemigo, y que el señor shimura le digo que deshaga de su doctrina del fantasma. para que se vuelve el heredero del señor shimura que se vuelva su hijo pues. ver como jin todavia quiere a su tío al darle la letra de la ubicación del khan y mas cuando al final decides matarlo. Claro que el final bueno es donde no tienes que matarlo para que jin se accepte como el fantasma y con esto acabo mi resumen… Expand

    Ghost of Tsushima is a flawed, but fun, game. While the gameplay itself was solid, and the story was decent, I definitely expected a lot more from Sony’s final PlayStation 4 exclusive. It had enough to keep me hooked, but lacked the polish we’ve all grown to love from a Sony first party game.

    Ultimately, it feels like the game could have benefited from a smaller scope or a more linear structure. Focus on the duels could have created a more engrossing product, especially if it honed in on the narrative for a more concise and cinematic experience. But as it stands, Ghost of Tsushima is another AAA open world title and doesn’t seek to define itself as anything other than that.
