    Story : Just an in-depth background story of our man, Jin Sakai. Oh and a new mongol boss, which in my opinion is way harder to defeat than the original one.

    Gameplay : The same as the original, but with an additional very OP/broken armor for duel situation.

    Cinematic : Absolutely fantastic.

Main antagonist is an old lady on drugs. Incessant breaking of fourth wall is unwelcome. Game mechanics stay repetitive. Visuals are worse than the origiinal game.     Great expansion but a bit short. It has a great story with a good conclusion for Jin Sakai but is with some improvements more of the same. You can start the story early in the second act of the main game but I waited until I finished the main story. Story: You come around a coast village were the Mongols hold prisoners. When you fight them you encounter a shaman whose chants enhance the other Mongols fighting abilities. What is even more scary you encounter prisoners that are driven insane by visions and even a case where a woman bite off her tongue. There is a rumor that on the near Island of Iki the Mongol named “The Eagle” is performing strange rituals that cause insanity. So Jin decided to stop the Mongols and travels to Iki before this spreat to Tsushima. This is also a travel to the past as his father died on Iki trying to liberated it for the ruler while young Jin proved himself as warrior. A great set up and the story fully delivers up to the fitting conclusion. Like I said it is sadly a bit short. However there is a new interesting twist that kept my interest but cant spoil here. Gameplay wise it is more of the same with some improvements. Mongols are now empowered by shamans, can switch fighting styles and are smarter when alerted (search back to back without being close enough for group assassinations for example). There are new abilities, equipment and challenges. If you liked the main game than this is a good addition. The new characters work well but are also less flashed out than their main game counterparts. The graphics are again beautiful and the locations look amazing. The soundtrack is fitting and enhances the atmosphere. Like the main game it is a great presentation and experience. Overall I am satisfied by the expansion but lower the rating a bit because it is shorter. It took me not long to finish it. Maybe a bigger challenge if I started earlier.… Expand

    I played the base game before this version came out, and while it was fun at the beginning it didn't last long because the game feels somehow unfinished, like there is so much copy/paste content and so much repetitiveness that it really feels like they rushed in the last stage before release.

    Enemies AI is way too simple and ruins a combat system that otherwise could have been a lot more fun, the same applies to almost everything in the game, the open world is nice but somehow feels repetitive and unfinished, as if the devs in the studio wouldn't know what programs like substance painter or marmoset are made for, everything looks too plastic for a game that supposedly wants to rely on realism - as if no including any waifus - or any good looking character for that matter - would be the key for realism.

    Anyways, I decided to upgrade my game to the director's cut version to see if there were some improvements on that part, unfortunately it was rather the contrary. New enemies have even dumber AI than the ones already in the game, they just have more reach and more annoying moves now to fake difficulty but you cannot really call it hard, it's just cheap. Some of the new landscapes are nice though still look kind of plastic and repetitive and the new content isn't really that impressive. I won't complain because I think the update price to content relation is fairer now than it is when purchasing the base game at full price. At the end the game is kind of fun but it doesn't last long due to the lazy work in general.    … Expand

    Sucker Punch won my heart with the original infamous and since then all their games keep improving on the previous one. They took a long time to release another ps4 titles but the wait was worth it.     Amazing to see what Sucker Punch has achieved going from Infamous Series to Ghost of Tsushima. The game looks gorgeous. My biggest take is the absence of HUD, so you get to immerse yourself in the environment as the wind is used to guide you to your next location. My biggest gripe with most open-world games is having to spend half the time looking at the mini-map and this game solves it…Amazing to see what Sucker Punch has achieved going from Infamous Series to Ghost of Tsushima.     Esta expansión me ha parecido un buen acierto para el juego, por el contenido que tiene, en si la historia completa me ha parecido interesante, como esta expansión abunda más en el pasado de Jin, del porqué de algunas cosas. También me ha gustado, esos detalles en el mapa que incitan a explorarla y además también, que cesls puntos de interés del mapa, ayuden a conocer más del pasado deEsta expansión me ha parecido un buen acierto para el juego, por el contenido que tiene, en si la historia completa me ha parecido interesante, como esta expansión abunda más en el pasado de Jin, del porqué de algunas cosas. También me ha gustado, esos detalles en el mapa que incitan a explorarla y además también, que cesls puntos de interés del mapa, ayuden a conocer más del pasado de Jin, como era su relación con su padre, puedes ver perfectamente cómo la relación entre padre e hijo, no es perfecta pero hay un cariño ahí. Otro punto que me ha encantado y eso viene del juego base, el apartado artístico, me ha encantado que esta vez hayan tratado con una paleta de colores algo distinto, un poco más vivo en unas zonas. Y que decir el apartado sonoro igual, un gran trabajo que ayuda a la inmersión y ambientación de la historia. Lo que sí veo que falla un poco y que trae del juego base, es en la elaboración de las misiones secundarias que de vez en cuando se pueden sentir repetitivas o que después de un par de bases enemigas sientes que haces lo mismo y lo mismo, y es algo que espero que se solucione en una futura entrega.… Expand

    If you enjoyed the base game, then Ghost of Tsushima: Iki Island is a must-play. A natural extension of the sorrowful saga of Jin Sakai, Ghost of Tsushima: Iki Island impresses with its exploration of both a new world and old scars. An awe-inspiring journey through trauma and guilt that is ultimately resolved by facing fears, Ghost of Tsushima: Iki Island can be completed in a weekend but will resonate with players for a lifetime.
