    My game won't even launch.... I've deleted it and downloaded multiple times and it crashes every time I try start it... im very unhappy.

    The beginning of the game states that this was a huge undertaking for an 8 person team... And it really shows. The team was so strung up on going big that they completely failed to make the basics any good. For instance, it's an open world game where you can't even jump. I noticed this being a problem since there's a farm with a super small fence around it; you have to walk completelyThe beginning of the game states that this was a huge undertaking for an 8 person team... I noticed this being a problem since there's a farm with a super small fence around it; you have to walk completely around when a simple jump would fix this exploration issue. Your moves in battle don't even tell you what they do. The items also don't tell you how much HP or percentage HP they heal. There is no way to change the text speed.

    The team should focus on making the basics right before they try to do anything else. Unfortunately, the gameplay is also lackluster. This is seen in the tutorial where you are literally pressing the basic attack button 10+ times to beat a monster. If animations could be skipped, this might make it more bearable but battles are extremely slow and sluggish. There's an interesting story and premise here, but it's buried underneath the jank, PS3 graphics, lack of quality life, and numerous bugs. Heck, I even went through one cutscene where both characters mouths were shut but the subtitles showed a deep conversation going on and there were no voices whatsover.     It is a good RPG but has also some flaws. Because it is not from a AAA developer I will apply less strict standards. Generally I liked the setting, characters, the battle system and art style. On the negative side there are some bugs and a valid statement is that the developer tried to to add too many stuff to the game instead of improving fewer things. I say however that I see no truly bad stuff in the game. The story is set in Heryon. There the people have build a society focused on magic that is based on crystals. Approx 30 years ago the Archilites arrived with their spaceships on the planet. They had highly advanced technology but no magic. First both sides existed peacefully and resources were traded but when the Archilites asked for the magic crystals the people of Heryon refused out of fear to be colonized and suppressed. Soon after this a war started between magic and technology. While at first it looked that the Archilites will win easily the tide slowly turned because the people of Heryon never gave up and adapted everything for victory. However the Archilites used a terrifying final weapon called the corrosion. A biological weapon that turns the victims slowly into machine / organic hybrids. At the present the solider Daryon gets a letter from his sister the priestess Selene that their mother caught the corrosion. After the prologue Daryon deserts to help his sister find a cure. So they travel trough the war-torn lands. The story is good and got me hooked. Not the best but also far from the worst in RPGs. It has some nice twist and surprises. I truly enjoyed the characters. Be it Daryon, Selene, Ysoris, Theia, Fallon, Alpharius, Kora or others. The sidequests are a bit mixed as some are really good like the Umbra side quest line for example while other are more boring like the hunting of standard monsters. There are some bugs like slow downs and graphical glitches like only heads for NPC are visible until you come close enough. I had approx 7 crashes during my approx 60 hour playtrough (Done a lot of side quests and a bit of grinding). None got me lost more than a few minutes so I am not that angry. Graphically the game is a bit outdated but the artwork is nice. The soundtrack is good and the voice actors were well chose. The translation for the text was sometimes a bit off but tolerable. Overall I enjoyed the game a give an 8/10 with small developer bonus. Wont disagree with the others 6/10 ratings here on Metacritic as compared to bigger games with a lot more budget it is weaker but this would be unfair for me.… Expand

    - Good landscape design, dungeons and mines are disgusting though. - Decent VA and mostly amazing music, some of it in ch4 is horrible. - Story is laughably bad, except for a few scenes in ch2 ending. - This is not a small studio issue, its a lack of intelligence in the devs issue. For two years almost all games have been a 3/4 at best, so this game has    - Irritating

    For two years almost all games have been a 3/4 at best, so this game has that going for it that it isnt that low i guess. This is no ffx. Thats for sure.

    Biggest problem is this game lets you unlock and recruit people then takes it all away just because you advance a chapter. You cant ever make progress in your party. You do tons of work to craft grind quest then equip them and they go poof because of the story….never to come back. Its literally the worst idea for an rpg ever.

    The graphics are good for a budget game
    Bugs dont ruin it. So thats good…. Since its 2022 especially….

    The problem….. is the devs low intelligence decisions to just lock things like your mount, teleporting, or flat out take them from you, forever, like party members and tons of gear.

    I cant even trust that I can PLAY the game, grind, get gear. Etc. Because in 10 minutes that person may be gone forever anyway.

    The choices these devs have made for “tactical battles” is outright bad. Example. Enter battle, before you even move once, tentacles appear from no where and slam your entire turn away. This repeats until you're dead, all before you even get 1 turn to react. It'ss not even a mini boss. Just a normal fight.

    The only amazing fun things in this game are the environments, at night only, daytime lighting makes the game look old.

    And the kitty mount. Which surprise, the devs decided to also take it from you every corner you turn, followed up by locking you from teleporting…..the teleport blocking is major. IDK what they are thinking, seriously. If the teleporting was locked short term, ok sure, but its not short, we are talking 10's of hours, it opens up again for maybe 30 minutes, then boom, you do one part of the story and they all lock all over again for 10's of hours. No devs, No. Go back to school.

    Game could've been good, devs decisions are horrible. I rate it a six because its playable and when its night, looks gorgeous on an oled tv. Beyond that, forget this game honestly. Persona 5 is still the Turn Based RPG king for this decade.

    Also, the fact that this game struggles to hit 60 FPS, let alone 120 on the PS5 is a joke.    … Expand

    I have been following this game since early access. I bought it for both pc and ps5. It was developed by a small indy studio. If passion alone made a game this would be the best on the market. Unfortunately it has a lot of problems with slow downs, texture and geometry pop in, bad models, repetitive Gameplay, random difficulty spikes, convoluted systems and a whole host of quality of lifeI have been following this game since early access. I bought it for both pc and ps5. It was developed by a small indy studio. If passion alone made a game this would be the best on the market. Unfortunately it has a lot of problems with slow downs, texture and geometry pop in, bad models, repetitive Gameplay, random difficulty spikes, convoluted systems and a whole host of quality of life issues. If you are a hard-core jrpg enthusiasts you will find a certain charm. I can see it becoming a hidden gem in just a year or two. But if this is a first try for this company I am interested to see what they can do in the future.… Expand

    Played on PS5: Average at best. Graphics were fine when exploring and in combat but up close during cutscenes and dialogue character models / faces / hands looks baaaad... This game was not ready to be released but the developer released it anyway. I am sure there may be a decent story buried away somewhere within the game itself but I could not hook myself due to the issues I found with it.
