    I just finished the game, and this is a soulless piece of junk. The story sucks, (you can just mash 1 button the hole time and win every fight) the game tells you every time how to beat the enemy in every fight with helpboxses and messages, it requires you to buy lootboxes for the last 25% of the game.

    Microtransactions in an $60 single player game is like buying a nice car and then after driving it for 1 year, a message pops up on the dashboard saying you can only drive a maximum of 40 mph unless you purchase more "credits".

    Unacceptable filthy greed.

    The game might not be great, but giving it from a 0 to a 4 is simply stupid.
    It has a lot of issues, but i think has more improvements than problems.
    It's fun, it's not the best, but it doesn't need to be.
    It's good.

    This could have been a 9/10 game. Completely marred by a designed in grind to try to force the consumer to purchase stupid items. Absolutely unacceptable failure of a game for this reason.

    One word: micro transactions which involve not only looks. Disgusting practise. Don't buy this rubbish. If you do you're part of the problem and you're supporting bad unethical practices in video gaming.

    Game designed only to pull more money your pockets and accounts. Game CANT BE FINISHED without buying **** loot boxes. This game could be very very good, but is just a cancer on the game industry.

    Amazing world . amazing characters .with amazing RPG elements .the story was sensitive and great
    the cutscenes were great .weapons and fighting system were better than the last parts of series riding hunting and crafting too .the game work smoothly without mistakes so far its the best AC game we have ever had .ITS A LEGEND

    This is a DISGRACE to the AC series!
    It lacks everything that the previous games had!
    No open world, no lore (item drops), no stats (STR/DEX..), no complex skill tree.. Nothing...

    This is simply the most horrible game I've ever played!
    Complete waste of money and time. Don't bother.

    best assassins creed i've played in ages to be honest i enjoyed this much more than i did shadow of war this feels like a step in the right direction for series which i have to say where very average games in my opinion the eygpt setting is very interesting on the whole a good game i think plenty of hours of fun to be had

    It's funny how the positive reviews are flooding up when people are realizing that Ubisoft paid for good reviews, isn't it? Surely it's not like they know this game is gonna be buggier and more transactiony than the last one!!

    As a person loving the RPG genre, this is definitely a right direction they are heading towards. In the previous games they had a big open world but not enough quests to fill it with, because it was mostly 1 linear story quest, therefore a lot of random collectibles were added and it was ****

    With the new formula they breathe new life into the assassin's creed game and pushes it into being a much better game. The world is large and breathtaking. And the most annoying repetitive stuff is removed or improved so you wont feel the game is as repetitive as before.

    It is sad that we have reached a point where games publishers think that charging full price for a game isn't enough; instead they want more money by giving the player incentive to pay for loot boxes. It is especially sad because the game itself is already a buggy, glitchy mess. Jeez Ubisoft, you make Bethesda look good.

    Gonna be honest here, I'm a gamer first and foremost and I enjoy playing games every time I can. What I hate here is how they've gone absolutely nuts with microtransactions and other silly, stupid shticks. The optimization and lag are also terrible, especially on a mid-end gaming PC like my Windows 7.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Do not buy this game, even if you don't buy the loot boxes it's still supporting games that have this disgusting practice in them. They are a cancer on gaming, and they have ruined this game which otherwise could be an enjoyable experience if the first game is anything to go on. We need to stop supporting games that do this and take a stand against it, or nothing will improve, and we will fall further into the pit of loot box BS.… Expand

    DO NOT BUY. Nothing but a long boring grind unless you pay real money for loot boxes to get ahead. pass. Loot boxes have no place in a $60 game. Loots boxes are nothing but greedy and predatory. They are gambling, and they take advantage of people that they know will get addicted to this.

It's as if these guys (or girls) were given this game they call Assassin's Creed along with flowers and crack. Or perhaps they've played the game blindfolded. Ubisoft's marketing clearly skates along the lines of fraud and just plain badIt feels as if the developers don't even like to play games, period.. I am completely shocked at the "critics" giving them a score of 80 for this crap.. It's as if these guys (or girls) were given this game they call Assassin's Creed along with flowers and crack.     Best AC since AC II. All new features work very well, it looks great and side quests are pretty unique. I have some minor issues with this game, but it's still incredible.

    Loved the setting of ancient Egypt. Beautiful and massive world with a lot to explore. Liked the story and a big fan of Bayek. This game puts AC back to were it should be.

    The micro-transactions in a single player game killed the game for me. To those interested do not get the game UNLESS you enjoy endless roman killing / stupid boring grinding.

    ACO simply feels incomplete and lackluster in every way possible. Poor movement animations throughout for both main characters and AI, awfully slow prologue, story is meh, world feels more robotic and lifeless than immersive, bad lip-syncing, clunky combat, and boring missions. The graphics can be a hit or miss but overall positive. Though this games falls short in nearly every way, I canACO simply feels incomplete and lackluster in every way possible. Poor movement animations throughout for both main characters and AI, awfully slow prologue, story is meh, world feels more robotic and lifeless than immersive, bad lip-syncing, clunky combat, and boring missions. The graphics can be a hit or miss but overall positive. Though this games falls short in nearly every way, I can some finding enjoyment in mindlessly killing enemies and collecting loot. I would strongly recommend avoiding this gaming until it's at half price.… Expand

    I have played for 20 hours or so, i have only found 3 buga and 2 of them made me restart the game, besides that it has been really fun, i have done like 30% of the missions and have not payed for a single microransaction nor feel the need to do it, i can recomend the game as it has a lot of content, i also dont recomend the season pass, as most ubisoft dlc is very poorly done in comparizonI have played for 20 hours or so, i have only found 3 buga and 2 of them made me restart the game, besides that it has been really fun, i have done like 30% of the missions and have not payed for a single microransaction nor feel the need to do it, i can recomend the game as it has a lot of content, i also dont recomend the season pass, as most ubisoft dlc is very poorly done in comparizon to the campaign (experience from ghost recon)… Expand

    I've been playing it for 30hrs now and I still feel like I was playing The Witcher 4 (which from me is a huge compliment). This game is beautiful, varied, exciting, deep, and you learn a bunch of things about Ancient Egypt, Greece and Roman Empire (which is quite cool actually).

    For me this is clearly a must-have with a lot of things to do, to learn and to experience. What makes it    I've been playing it for 30hrs now and I still feel like I was playing The Witcher 4 (which from me is a huge compliment).     What makes it epic:

    - the hero is a real badass (and it's very pleasant to have him breaking enemy's bones)

    - the open world is unique and mesmerizing

    - quests are varied with always a good storytelling behind

    - you learn things about ancient cultures while playing (and this fun/educational aspect is unique these days)

    For me this is definitely the best AC and probably one of the best game this year (just behind BotW).    … Expand

    Finally, Assassin's Creed that we deserve. Awesome game in an awesome setting. A TON of things to do. Side quests are (mostly) well-written, varied, and fun. The main story is intriguing...
    Played on Xbox One - plan to buy Xbox One X for that game.
    If you've enjoyed other Assassin's Creed games, and like the idea of exploring ancient Egypt, pick this game up.

    The game is absolute trash just like the previous AC titles. Just casual **** that will never change it's crappy Ubisoft pattern. The game gets boring fast and the story simply is awful! The only thing appealing about the game is the graphics which is only a means to attract the ignorant masses, so yeah, good job on having the ability to make a bad game with good graphics. Sigh.     Assassin's Creed: Origins is the best game in the series, but it's a mediocre action RPG at its core. In this sense, it both succeeds and fails at being a much-needed franchise shakeup.

    Origins is the newest installment in rather worn out series and a much appreciated and needed refresh. New combat and graphically fantastic environment with tons of content will gave you some nice moments. The game is not a blast but it is a proof that AC is back on the right track again, for now.
