    The best god of war in the series, it was the epic conclusion of the triology, the most bloody the most intense with it’s bossfights, gods and giants clash once and for all, Kratos was the real deal this game tells every gamer why he is one of the best in video games as a protaginist maybe antagonist too + god of war being one of the best game series of all times

    My second favorite game of the franchise and fourth best game of all time, GOW 3 has a good story that may seem a bit off to a few, but the graphics and gameplay as well as characters, enemies/character designs and bosses are the best among any game out there. Must play.

    I went through this game after I finished gow 4 and it amazed me. Yes, the plot may not be as cool as in the sequel, but the combat is something. Although by the release date of the game I was 4 years old, but still it is beautiful, I really look forward to a remake!

    Damn!! This is my fav. God of war game along with ghost of sparta. Beast Boss fights,Gorgeous graphics, Epic combat with new mechanics, Many fun modes, Deep and hard puzzles, Engaging story... You name it! Really happy i played this game. This is why god of war is one of my fav. Series of all time

    The amount of times I played this game is unimaginable, I played it at least 3 times on PS3 and 4 times on PS4(Ironic), this is a game you come back to just to beat the living soul outta the Gods that wronged Kratos.

    In my opinion, this is still the best GOD OF WAR game to ever exist, with great graphics combat, and a satisfying conclusion to the greek realm. GOD OF WAR Ragnarok comes close to this game with its content, but it's just something about the Rage of Kratos how 1D his character is, yet how complex it became as the game unfolds.

    If you haven't played any of the GOD OF WAR games, GOW III to this day is in its own class.

    This game is only epic and amazing. He contains epic boss battle (my prefered is the hades battle), amazing graphics, a great gameplay and very blood and gore.

    My favorite part about this game, is that it's short yet there's so much to do. You hack and slash your way through everything, and it's so satisfying once you complete the game knowing that you have slaughtered all in your path. It's very rewarding based on your play style and you can truly feel the way Kratos is feeling while hes murdering another god.

    My favorite God of War game and PS3 exclusive, even more than the rebooted titles on later consoles. A high octane revenge fantasy, this game is a fantastic experience and an excellent conclusion to the Greek God of War saga.

Why not a 10? Well, the last weapon you get comes late in the game, so there's not a ton of time to play with it. Also, the overall structure of the game may strike gamers as a bit less fulfilling than previous entries. Before, Kratos embarked on true journeys--traveling from one exotic locale to the next in true 'questing' fashion. GoW III plays a little more like Symphony of the Night--where Kratos must discover the various nooks, crannies, pathways, and puzzles throughout Mt. Olympus in order to reach the summit. From a story standpoint, it allows characters to be revisited and allows the plot to weave around--a bit more sophisticated than just, meet new character, kill, new character, repeat. The downside is that you cannot have GoW II-style bonus playthroughs with all your weapons and items from the get-go--if you have played Symphony of the Night or similar games, you know why that is.… Expand

    The vast majority of modern games continually strive for an immersive, interactive-movie experience and with this in mind God of War III is essentially flawless. It is far and away the best action game of this console generation, matching and besting its predecessors for brutal, primeval beauty.

    This is certainly a graphical and artistic accomplishment you will be stunned by the battles and how they are crafted and specially floored by how good this game looks. As for combat and animations it's more of the same winning formula used in past GoW games. This game is good and a testament to that is so many modern games copying the style of this game and many of it's aspects.

    One of the best PS3 games I've played. The gameplay is varied so you don't spend the entire time button bashing and it stays channeling without going overboard. I played it through first time at a lower difficulty than I'd normally go for, but that was due to laziness more than anything. Rest assured, I enjoyed it so much that I will come back and play it through a good few times yet. AOne of the best PS3 games I've played. Graphics, sound, and controls are all top notch and with an impressive story the player will enjoy. The only thing keeping me from giving it a ten is the last five minutes of the game I felt did not fit.     Wow...Just wow.Having been a fan from the beginning I can say that this is the best and most ambitious GOW.Though the gameplay is identical to the previous titles,that matters little when blown away by the scope of this game.Face melting graphics,brutal hack and slash and pure sexyness make this one to remember.

    This is one of the best game I've ever played. Graphics and animations are beyond your imagination. Battles are amazing. Brutal, gore game. Story was nice. Not a difficult game in normal mode. Definitely, you must add it to your collection. I didn't play yet the previous games but I'll definitely get them too.

    Absolutely amazing visuals, music and blood fighting make this game one of the most intensive and thrilling adventure in all history. of course, it's the end story of Kratos, but i hope there will be next games in this brutal universe.

Being the continuation of God of War II there isn't much Santa Monica can add to the story other than killing gods after gods after gods. Most of the boss battles are great, especially the first one and the face off with another popular demigod and a TITAN! God of War III is an epic climax to Kratos' story and an exemplary of technological power. This is a MUST buy.… Expand

That said I did have some minor annoyance with frequent crashes with the game, I don't know if it's my consoles fault or if I have a faulty disk. In terms of the game there were some minor tweaks from the previous that I find with minor irritation. Nothing that ruin the game but the pacing and feel of the game feel somewhat different in a slightly negative way. You have to be play the previous God of War games numerous times to understand where I'm coming from. Nonetheless its a solid game and I regard it the best hack and slash game of this generation.… Expand

    God of War III is absolutely beautiful. The game looks better than ever and features some of the most epic boss battles in the GOW trilogy. Though the story is the weakest of the three, it's still an epic adventure worth taking.

    I did not play the previous games, but I did like this game. It's not really those games that make you think, its those games make you escape from thinking, and focus on killings. Everything is good and well made in the game, but it may not be people who dislikes violence.

You play Kratos who is a former god of war after killing Ares the previous god of war in the first game. You were told by the gods to kill him in return for the ability to forget the moment where you went insane and killed your wife and daughter. Once you kill him you are named the new god of war but Zeus did not keep his word and now its your turn for revenge. The game starts out where you are climbing Mt. Olympus with the living trees where the first god you face is Posiden. At this moment i knew it was going to be a magical game because of the graphics and how the combat was so smooth. This is one of the best storyline based games and always provides a challenge with the Uncharted like riddles and many different types of enemies. The tie into the greek mythology is another reason why i love this game as you are dealing with things that you learned about. It kind of has that history aspect like Assassins Creed and Uncharted, both good storyline based games. Overall it is one of the best games on the ps3 and all i have to say is to xbox fans, its a shame your missing out.… Expand

    This game was epic. I love the fighting against the larger than life gods. Yes, it's a button smashing game, and can get repetitive, but its still fun as heck. One word can describe this game: EPIC.

    Excellent game. It has a very good story, great gameplay, it's challenging, and it exceeds expectations for a hack and slash game. The only problem I had with the game is so few boss fights. I thought the minotaur and Ares fights were great and after watching what the studio had to cut out of the game, I kinda feel that they wanted to add more but they didn't have the budget. :(

    I really enjoyed the whole trilogy. But this one was the best and more challenging. Cool puzzles and battles. To be honest I never liked Kratos and find it hard to accept his story. But it was nice at the end of the day. not bad at all.

If you're someone who likes to incorporate more strategy, then playing on a higher difficulty will make you happy. The story for this game is nothing short of epic as well. As for the gore and nudity, I'm not someone who will be swung either way by that stuff, I've been out of high school for over a decade, I don't automatically associate either of those things with coolness anymore.

    As a whole this is a great game. I had a lot of fun throughout playing this game. There was not a single dull moment throughout. This is a game that will clearly be seen as one of the better games throughout this generation, if not an all time great itself.    … Expand

    The graphics are very beautiful, like a pixar job. The history is interesting, but little infant for me. I don´t like this kind of gameplay (only fast hands, don´t think), but its efficient. If you liked Gow 1 and 2, its a great choice.

    God of War still with his maximum strength, the main character always strong releasing his fury on his enemies. The cinematographic scene were great, nice dialogue, epic music, giant bosses (literally), a perfect 10.

    let me start by saying this game is awsome having been a fan of the series since its inception i was excited to see what they could do with the ps3s power i was disappointed this game runs amazingly with some absolutly stunnig graphics. the story continues kratos journey of revenge and what fun it is killing gods has neverbeen so much fun a must buy for any ps3 owner

    My friend recommended this game for me a while ago but I am not into h&s game so I didnt play it until this summer. This game has one of the most epic and well-done boss designs, the one with the titan and the first stage with Zeus are my favorites.

Also this is my first god of war game, but at the time i am writing this review i have played all the games in the franchise, both psp and PS3.

    The graphics in this game are just phenomenal at the time this game was released in 2010. My sole reason to get the PS3 was to get this game after seeing some gameplay at E3 2009. The only other console game that looks just as impressive is Uncharted 2 Among thieves. Kratos is probably the most badass looking video game character ever lol.

    The story isn't as tight as the previous ones, especially God of War 2 which i think has the best story. It's pretty much a game where you are angry all the time and kill a lot of greek gods, which i have no problem with. I mean the fight with poseidon in the beginning just shocked me. So much adrenaline was pumping through my body when playing the first 30 mins. Also the sudden relationship that forms with kratos and pandora is somewhat weird. Also this game is shorter than the previous ones. An extra hour could have been used to form a tighter father daughter relationship with pandora, just saying. I wish there were more gods and demigods to fight to make the game atleast 1-2 hrs longer. My favourite was the hercules battles. DAMN that music was heart pounding.

    As mentioned before the music was both epic and eerie at times especially at hades underworld area.

    Gameplay is pretty much god of war, and i love the fact that each weapon associates a magic power and there is quick switching to other weapons with the d-pad. What i dont like is that only the cestus is different, and the other 3 weapons are pretty much similar when using them. The Bow is awesome and i just spamming the bow. I wish there were more weapons like in god of war 2

    All in all this is definitely an experience that you wont want to miss on the PS3. Its a game worthy of the gods lol.    … Expand

    I liked the story, although I felt shorter than the previous two, that if there was a lot more action.The battle against some gods felt very easy, even in hard mode is easy the moment, just need to protect yourself well from the blows. Something that looks very silly, was the ease of movement to get to meet the other gods of Olympus, compared with earlier took forever to get to meet a senior chief.
    The game looks great graphically, detailed scenarios are very beautiful I like the brightness of the scenarios. In the action scenes it shows exactly what was done by Santa Monica, killing any enemies all the blood left in the body of Kratos, as there is nothing remarkable graphics to criticize, and they did a great job.    … Expand

    God of War 3, is a amazing game, the history begins right at the end of God of War 2. The beginning of the game is spectacular and will not let a second of quiet, the battles with titans and others gods are very fun. The gameplay is the same a others god os war but with more movements. The story has more a surprise, is the epic conclusion the god of war saga. 100% recommended.

    An epic blood-fuelled (presumable) finale to the Kratos saga. The plot may be a little thin compared to previous installments - it's basically kill all the gods - but the gorgeous graphics and unequalled set pieces are a joy to behold.

    But despite God of War III being afraid of flying too close to the sun -lest those carefully crafted wings should melt- the journey is relentlessly exciting; a blistering spectacle told in blood and thunder. Truly epic, then. And I defy anyone to argue with the definition this time around.

    God of War 3 is fantastic, and has at least three scenes that are utterly magnificent. Design and gameplay-wise, it's absolutely stunning. The downside is that it doesn't have that clear cut perfection that its predecessor had; the polish shine that brilliantly lit up our eyes when we first enjoyed God of War 2.
