OK, so many people say this is worse than San Andreas. Its not. If anything, its better. The only thing that makes SA better is the cheats. Kinda bad story line but WHO CARES?

This game practically tells the backstory of the events that take place in GTA III. If you've played GTA III before but not LCS, I'd definetely recommended. I plan to play GTA III right after this game, and I think this will give me a new perspective when playing the III again.

Despite his affection to his mother, Toni is one hell of a cruel man. He never loses his cool, he never backs down from any job, even if means the death of thousands of innocents. He might be the most coldblooded GTA protagonist.

This game is definetely a must play if you're a GTA series fan! It brings out so many cool details about all these mafias you hear in other GTA titles.

GTA Liberty City Stories - предыстория третьей части гта в которой идет больше упор в геймплей, а не в сюжет

I grew up with this genre and this one was good. The story was actually pretty impressive seeing that it was a prequel. It's cool. Not amazing like it's brethern. I'm not gonna go down on Rockstar

JUEGAZO! ni una pega le puedo encontrar, usaron la buena base de gta 3 para crear otro juegazo en la misma ciudad, excelentes gráficos, gran música, gran historia, misiones buenisimas, uno de los mejores gta

THE BEST INTRODUCTION OF SAGA GTA THERE UNTIL NOW!! I think, the GTA LCS much better than GTA III, of course. Mechanisms, graphics, and everything was better. This game is sensationally ADDICTIVE!

Her oynadığımda duygulanırım. Çok kaliteli bir oyun denemez fakat ben çok seviyorum. İçinde Godfather Style mafya atmosferi olan tek GTA oyunu.

Being a GTA game that wasn't in the main trilogy (GTA 3, San Andreas, Liberty City) i wasn't expecting much but the story, characters everything i can think of is great. No complains. Great game.

Great game. One of my favorite parts of gta. It needs a remake or remastered. But that's never going to happen.

out of all the GTA games released on PS2, this one and San Andreas are my favorites. LIBERTY is much more fun than GTA 3.

In this game I really miss the code to remove police and be able to make chaos

This game in my opinion is a very good game. They were careful about the whole 'coffee mod' cheat that was in GTA:SA, in LCT there's barely any sexual reference. Plus, there's a good 2 and a half days of gameplay. The graphics are nice, and the game runs smoothly.

It's cool to see the same streets from GTA 3 again. But the missions seem to be a bit weird. You have to do missions for your own mother and take pictures of guys in diapers....which is strange. There is some added cars to the Liberty City streets. The graphics are the same as always. For $20 its not bad though.

this is not a new G.T.A please dont give it a bad score because you think its a rehash of gta III it's here for people without a psp who want to extend there enjoyment of the origanal with new cars missions and bikes how cool is that and it costs so little.

This time around they made some improvements over the last time by including motorbikes, making slight improvements graphically, adding better controls for shooting and fighting, and using a better camera position for looking around by using the third person view instead of first person view, just like in GTA San Andreas. Your character can now climb as well, but he still can't swim.

With this small improvements GTA: Liberty City Stories is better than GTA III but still not nearly as good as GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas. If you own one of those games there's really no need to get GTA: Liberty City Stories as well, unless you want to collect the complete series like me.

The game is good enough for coming from a handheld port. The controls feel worse than I remember a lot of the PS2 original GTAs (targeting particularly doesn't always select the highest threats and throws the camera around a lot in combat). It can be dealt with, though. It's fun to revisit the setting from GTA III, even if it was the technically least impressive of the GTA PS2 trilogy (it pioneered its style, so it wasn't flawless). I love this game so much, its basically the better gta 3 with way more content and stuff to do. sadly there is still no aircrafts, but it still has lots of stuff to do like the slash tv on the big ship, pizza boy and punk noodles, races, and so much more. and the best part, the rival gangs aren't as bad as in gta 3. the ps2 version cut multiplayer and didn't add anything, but the controlsI love this game so much, its basically the better gta 3 with way more content and stuff to do. sadly there is still no aircrafts, but it still has lots of stuff to do like the slash tv on the big ship, pizza boy and punk noodles, races, and so much more. and the best part, the rival gangs aren't as bad as in gta 3. the ps2 version cut multiplayer and didn't add anything, but the controls are better than on psp. overall you should play this game its amazing. 8/10 Expand

With nothing added and multiplayer stripped completely, there’s no reason to buy this game if you’ve already played the original. Still, it nevertheless provides a unique, satisfying experience.
  2. A lack of flourish and invention, along with a tired set of on-foot mechanics, rob it of a higher mark - but too much stands in its favour not to recommend it.
  3. 90
It is a full-fledged GTA experience, and it is only $20 (even cheaper if you shop around), which means it's an incredibly good value for money at a time when the PS2 is absolutely starved for great new games. Don't buy it if you've played the PSP version, but if you haven't -- it's great.
