    Dear Blizzard,

    I have played Warcraft 1, then 2, then 3, then 3 The Frozen Throne. I played this game for over 20 years. I played it competitively, I played it for fun with custom maps. I didn't want a 'new' Warcraft, because the old one was game-play perfection. That said, it was showing its age. For under $30, you've given me thousands of visual upgrades to buildings,    Dear Blizzard,

    I didn't want a 'new' Warcraft, because the old one was game-play perfection. That said, it was showing its age.

    For under $30, you've given me thousands of visual upgrades to buildings, landscapes, units and more.

    Thank you for not breaking the game's balance, pathing, and everything that made the original so good.

    I've been a beta tester. I must be honest - I disliked the experience. It was laggy, not responsive, and I didn't like the re-textures, especially the contrast seemed worse than the old version.

    But now reforged is out, and my games are smooth. Gone is the lag and the game feels responsive again, like it should.

    And the graphics are growing on me. After 17 years of looking at units a certain way, that influences you. Now since release date, I've been playing a few days, and I'm looking back at the old version (which was still installed on my kids PC), I can only now really appreciate how much this update was needed.

    As far as the campaign, I don't really care about it myself. I've played the campaign as a kid, I still remember the story. I'm excited that my 10 year old can now experience it. And even if we didn't get all the cutscene updates you promised, it's still an upgrade. My 10 year old can now experience the campaign as I did so many years ago.

    I'm hoping you reconsider the copyright ownership rules on custom games, and re-add a few features like commands, clans, and tournaments.

    If you take the emotions out of it, this game is even better than the original in many ways, and all those leaving 0 star reviews is a sure way Blizzard kills off investment in this game - which is a shame, because I love this game and I want it to succeed, I want new players in the game.    … Expand

    Blizzard is unfair to us - customers and fans. They advertised product THAT IS NOT what you buy. What you buy is sh*t 18 years after the premiere of the original it is unbeliveable. F*ck you blizzard.

    Bait and switch. Everything they *advertised* about the game that made me want to buy it was apparently cancelled and not implemented, with zero word from blizzard. This is the last straw, they have lost me as a customer until they have a complete overhaul of their management.

    This game is nothing but a very bad HD version of WC3 but charging $50 bucks Canadian they add nothing but take away everything it’s that simple
    I was very much looking forward to this game playing around 50-60 hours of the beta hoping they would change a lot come release but I was wrong.     this game is so underdeveloped its like a demo version of the game, it feels like a pre-alpha on release this is disgusting. absolutly deserves a 0/10 rating they cant even give a game to play on release.

    very disappointed with this delayed & overpriced mess, i just wanted to play a simple custom game like i used to with the classic version but i couldn't its awful what they did with this product, i've lost all faith in blizzard

    ive been a long time blizzard fan and this game is very disappointing. i would consider a refund but i feel that is pointless

    Not as advertised. The game did not include the ingame cutscenes, I am unable to connect to the ladder and tons of bugs that makes the game feel rushed.

    Reforged edition? No. Is a remaster, a bad remaster edition.

    - No new UI, No new mini map.
    - No new cut scenes.
    - Horrible optimization.
    - No custom maps.

    This game was massively downgraded and backtracked and sold to us for $30.00 (or $40.00 for its special edition) with it being the bare minimum we got and being a effortless cash grab. As of writing this, it is now February and they still haven't removed the fake and straight up false-advertised campaign trailer. This game is not worth your time and money.     Activision destroyed Blizzard completely. Remember folks: Never pre-order and never buy anything from those companies. Thanks for crushing our dreams and hopes. The Scourge is real and it's name is now Activision-Blizzard. Period.

    Original Warcraft 3 was a legendary game, one of the best games in PC history. I played hundreds of hours. However, this Reforged game is such a bore that I barely could tolerate an hour and a half. Then, enter Blizzard's hell-bent desire to dump on the fans. Over and over and over. To say that this was a "bait and switch" is the best I can come to describe it. Then add to the fact thatOriginal Warcraft 3 was a legendary game, one of the best games in PC history. I played hundreds of hours. However, this Reforged game is such a bore that I barely could tolerate an hour and a half. Then, enter Blizzard's hell-bent desire to dump on the fans.     I wonder if Activision Blizzard is gonna try to fix this so called "Reforged" Warcraft III (spoiler : probably not). For now I'd rather play Diablo Immortals. Too bad I don't have a phone.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
