    The above statement sums up everything. All they needed to do was re-skin WC3 and improve the optimization for battle.net. They promised more and delivered less. You would think that a company with decades of experience could do some basic project management and promise    "Warcraft III: Reforged isn't the game that was promised..."

You would think that a company with decades of experience could do some basic project management and promise only what they could deliver but clearly I am more professional than the execs at Activision. This release is basically investor deception with the intent to pad the Q4 2019 earnings of Blizzard. What is unfortunate is the damage they have done to the original game, which I have played since my childhood.

    Garbage. Utter garbage.Released unfinished. Performance issues and 30 client crashes from just completing the campaign.Delivered nothing they promised, full of bugs and crashes.

    This game does not deliver. It definitely ruined the old (classic) warcraft that I grew up to love. It's embarrassing that Blizzard released this game after delaying the release for a month. Blizzard should be ashamed!

    All they had to do was polish up some graphics and re-release this game for a quick buck (since they can't make any new games of any quality).     I'm really sick and tired of companies like blizzard wanting to save money by releasing unfinished products and relying on users who bought their game to report extremely serious bugs and errors. And even if they did releasing something not finished as ready it's extremely unethical, you could just sell it as beta until it gets to a stable state and no one would complain)

    Leaving that aside, everyone knows by now the problems this game has: not being the product that was promoted, having to start matches several times to be able to play (both offline campaign AND custom games), not having a ladder system, only remastering the intro video (seriously?) and basically deleting a lot of good features of the old game, wich by the way, you can't play anymore since this one replaced it. Oh, and blizzard owns any map you make now, wich probably means bye bye to any good custom map from now on, so that's pretty much dead now

    I really hope this game gets to a playable state soon, but even if it does I'm never buying a blizzard product again before it's release, not even a Warcraft IV (if it ever comes out), wich has been something that I wanted for years. I'l wait some months to see if what they are selling is playable

    Also, I'm surprised with the positive reviews of the "critic reviews" section. Did they got paid or something?    … Expand

    A complete scam and a slap to the face of us consumers. I've never seen such a poorly remastered product. It felt more like a warmed product than reforged... warmed and spoiled under the summer sun. Not only did they under-deliver what they promised (no enhanced cut scenes, poor graphics for a remaster, failed to update the interface, etc.) but also the game is full of bugs and completelyA complete scam and a slap to the face of us consumers.     Highest expectations! When the game was announced, pre-ordered, well and now:
    - Lying main menu
    - closing it old bnet - fewer functions in the new new bnet   old wc3 does not start at all anymore and all my funmaps do not work (except those from blizzard) - instant loose screen after the start of the 3rd mission - unfulfilled expectations regarding cutszenes / interface etc. - no    Highest expectations! When the game was announced, pre-ordered, well and now:

    Seriously? What are we paying for? The original W3 was already working on battlenet...

    This cannot be a "reforged" version, at best a "refurbished" version. No new cinematic, the graphism have just been upscale, no updated UI for 4K... Minimal effort, maximal cash.

    What a piece of ****, I refuse to waste a single dollar on this kind of a money grab. Wrecking the old WC3 games? Someone should go to jail for this. Not buying anything from Blizzard if this is how they treat their long-time customers and fans.

    I created an account here only to give a bad rate to this game. It’s based on false advertisement (campaign rework and alignment to actual lore, cinematic rework, to give some examples of promised stuff which never happened). Don’t waste your money with it!

    I feel like they robbed me like buy a secondhand car only to find they removed the engine on delivery. How can a company really feel that they can show you one thing and deliver something so different from what they promised and think that’s ok...... words can’t even describe how this company has basically robbed from its own fan base.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
