    This is the textbook definition of false advertising, and what makes it worse is that its still being false advertised 3 days after released..... 4 hours of reforged cinematics? more like 2 minutes and a stale fight scene AT THE END OF THE GAME. Everything else is the same RTS still camera shots as they were 15+ years ago.     The only good thing is that even something improved the graphics, although not as shown or expected. But that is not the problem if not the incomplete game and half that were delivered.

    Absolute bait and switch from what they showed at blizzcon. The HD/remastered cut scenes shown at blizzcon was just a gimmick to get people excited and pre order. So much has been gutted from W3 and we no longer have the option to play the original game. What is really sad is W3 is Blizzards flagship and its like they don't really care about the quality as long as they make the mighty dollar.

    Can't play it offline. A tonn of crashes, 2 games in 2 launchers(b.net and wc3). Launching a RoC campaign on Ref. Engine: Hero's attack type "Hero"(100%dmg vs almost all of def. types). Launching a RoC campaign on classic engine: Hero's attack type "Normal"(130%dmg vs "Normal" def. type, less than 100% vs almost all of other types) It makes me think that "magic" type of dmg doesn't existCan't play it offline.     Incredibly disappointing. It’s such a shame this was rushed and not done in-house. The game’s festered with bugs, and has this unfinished look and feel which is really not what you’d expect from a Blizzard game. As a huge WC3 fan, this is just sad.

    And along came Reforged.

    A good remaster should be such a flat improvement on the old game that it removes any desire to play the original for everyone but the most contratian of hardcore fans, much like the new Definitive Edition for Age of Empires II, which improves upon both the original and the HD Remaster in every single way, whilst retaining the essential spirit of the game.

    Reforged for Warcraft III does not do this. The new graphics look like they're lifted from a poorly made free to play Chinese mobile game, the QA is essentially non-existent and the EULA for the game is so cynical that I am sure it will remove any desire for new modders to work within it.

    It is a terrible game, worth all the disdain it has received, but to make things worse, it has made the original game worse. The original is tied to this new one, and many of the features the original had are completely gone to streamline it with this trainwreck. It is terrible.

    Whilst Age of Empires II Definitive Edition makes nobody want to play the original game because it is so good, Reforged makes nobody want to play the original game because it literally does not exist in the same state any more.    … Expand

    I think a lot expected a fresh new triple A title or something. it's not, 17    Still an enjoyable nostalgia trip to play this again with enhanced graphics. Sure i was a bit disappointed when blizzard gave us the news in December that this game wasn't going to be what they intended at first, but offered refunds. Partly the community didn't want that much changes and they listened to them.

There's not a SINGLE good answer. This new release REMOVED things rather than ADD some. It's utterly disgusting and shameless. I don't even have hopes for Reforged, I just want Blizzard to revert what they did to classic.

    If I have to point out 2 key details that really stood out in reforged and that were a such a turn-off I couldn't play the game for long:
    1) The character animations being locked at 20 fps. When the rest of the game runs at 144hz, it's such an eyesore it's unforgivable.
    2) While they redubbed some of the voice lines (good on them), sound effects weren't improved at all. It really makes them stand out even worse when the voice acting sounds modern and decent, but the sound effects are the same as it was back in 2002 and the audio is compressed.

    Both of those issues are completely noticeable in 20 seconds of playing the first mission of the campaign. How did this go through testing? What the heck happened blizzard?    … Expand

    WARCRAFT III is a 10/10 game for me, it is part of my childhood .

    I was a crazy fan of Blizzard, I own every Blizzard game collector's edition, but now The Reforged waked me up , it is a turning point for me as a Blizzard fan. I may not going to apply for refund.

    2. The quality standard of the game is absurdly low. It's like the QA team at Blizzard literally slept through all the obvious high priority bugs and devs let it slide. Including the performance! Yeesh!

    i play warcraft 3 ladder since 2003. this remake is really a disaster. i never saw such a buggy game. it's not possible to release something like this.

    While it's not "everything that was promised" ... It's not "new igc's and cutscenes"... But COME ON!!!?! It's STILL Warcraft 3... It's still the same game that basically started the genre... It's still the game that lead to MOBAs and so many other awesome custom modes... AND IT LOOKS better... It's integrated into bnet now, it's got better social features. Maybe slapping a $30 price tag onWhile it's not "everything that was promised" ... It's not "new igc's and cutscenes"... But COME ON!!!?! It's STILL Warcraft 3...     Current blizzard is an offence to itself. It once gave a great standard to gamedev of how every game could be. Clever and hard effort. Made with love.
    Now they gave a new word called "reforged", meaning "oh it's not remake, but it's more than just remaster...     You can't pay me to play this, and I can't even play the original warcraft 3 since blizzard forced this far inferior version to replace it. What little faith I had left in blizzard is gone.

    A good group of my friends have played the classic for years together and were very excited for Reforged... but it's a disgrace to the Warcraft name

    Between the Hong Kong debacle and this new fiasco of an unplayable release, no one should support this company until it gets it together. IF it even gets it together...

    Horrible game. Was not given what was promised. Blizzard had done it once again and I'm sad to say I am done with blizzard and blizzard games here on out

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
