    Blizzard effectively murdered a 17yo game and replaced it with an unfinished steaming pile of **** constantly crashes and locks up even when using the original version which had no issues whatsoever, can't play custom games without threats of being permabanned, can't make custom games without all of your rights being stolen from you, just a major disappointment.     Laughable effort put into the update. Glitchy. Very few new features. Not only did they take something great and make it worse, they also took away the ability to just play the old game. Absolutely ruined a classic. Waited for this for a long time, couldn't be more disappointed.

    This was a free win... Blizzard turned it to a devestating lose. They removed LAN mode! Warcraft 3 is still our most played game on LAN's! Yes, we still do LAN Partys once in a while....

    You know it's bad when the people who got this upgrade for free wish they hadn't. Somehow Blizzard managed to make a regression in their remaster, and didn't deliver on their promises. Seems like little more than an easy cash-grab. Refunded the game after being unable to play more than 2 levels with out game breaking bugs.

    Tried to play the campaign, it crashed every time I started it. The main menu looks like absolute garbage. They destroyed classic to make people want this by forcing an update that even disables shadows in classic until you buy the reforged. They falsely advertised on BlizzCon about cinematics. The sounds are the same, so no improvement there. Models and icons are improved but that' ALL.Tried to play the campaign, it crashed every time I started it. The main menu looks like absolute garbage. They destroyed classic to make people want this by forcing an update that even disables shadows in classic until you buy the reforged. They falsely advertised on BlizzCon about cinematics. The sounds are the same, so no improvement there. Models and icons are improved but that' ALL. They removed ladder, so no more ranked. Its basically a glorified chat software. You can enjoy custom games, but remember that blizzard owns them now and they are actively banning for copyright infringement, which is **** because a custom map has no way to damage another company's image, this is just a limitation on creativity, creativity that we'll never have again when it comes to Blizzard. No apologies can fix this. What can fix this is if they refund the game to everyone, rollback changes, then try again.… Expand

    I grew up with this game and had an amassing experience in high-school (2003-2007). I preorder it last year and was ready to have some great matches with my friends and revisit the story..but guess what? It's full of bugs and misses a lot of old features. No new UI. No new cutscenes. Bugs bugs bugs.

    Blizzard, get your **** together and fix this mess!

With Activision-Blizzard forcing the Warcraft 3 community to update their original copies of Warcraft 3 to the new "Reforged" edition should they connect through the blizzard application.     I started my PC gaming journey with Warcraft:Orcs vs Humans and I've followed/played/obsessed over every Warcraft game since. I even currently play WoW. I am truly disheartened by the state of this "remastered" game. They managed not only to release a pathetic excuse for a game in this day and age, but they also managed to ruin classic Warcraft 3.it hurts.

    I was hoping for a good revision of the old Warcraft 3 in old Blizzard quality and was totally disappointed like most.
    Campaign often stopped with the defeat screen, the new 3d models are nice, but look rather bad in the dialog box or in the unit selection.

    This game is nothing short of an assassination of a blizzard classic and its 18 year old gaming community. Not only is this game complete trash but it also takes everything i loved about the old game and the 17+ years of player created content and destroys it. Blizzard no longer exists in my eyes and is actively destroying their fan base. RIP Warcraft 3, July 3, 2002 - January 28, 2020.

    Creating an account specifically for this review. Never ever in my life i had such an awful experience with the on launch. Folders doesn’t open, everything with connectivity lags, constant crashes. It’s just bad.

    I've never played the original and I can still feel that is not what was supposed to be. Also, false advertisement is bad and I'm pretty sure the policies on custom creations are illegal in a lot of countries and I hope they'll get sued.

    From the start menu to the optimisation it is bad. From cut scenes to interface it is terrible. And patch (26 Gb) to anyone who don't want it. Blizzard is dead.

    I downloaded the release knowing I won't be getting updated cinematics except for the intro. I am content with replaying the campaign to see some decent in-game cinematics. Voice acting was the first thing I noticed that was a miss, the tutorial narration was really cringe.. progressing further, I don't see any decent in-game cinematics... Wtf is going on here? The offline game in custom has disappeared. 5. Missing teams in the chat. 6. Lost custom campaigns. 7. The new grafon - vyrviglaz. 8. In some places (and too often), the new graphics are worse than the original 18 years ago. 9. New detailed models look monstrous with a cartoony low poly environment. 10. The battle is now much worse read, all pro-gamers unanimously refuse to play with the new grafon. 11. Completely killed custom (new licensing agreement and copyright). 12. Changed the legendary Russian localization to a much more crap, but with the Orc podcast. 13. There is no rework of the rollers promised at the announcement (the juice itself - the promise is still hanging on the purchase page). 14. The only new cc cutscene, Illidan’s fight with Arthas, looks worse than fan artwork. 15. There is no promised plot alteration. 16. You can no longer kill children. Even when in the story you are organizing a massacre of the undead, I must bypass them. 17. Removed the tube 3D backdrops in the menu and replaced it with a crap soulless 2D. 18. Shelter interface on a third of the screen. 19. The classic Warcraft 3 is removed from the store, its owners are now available only reform, but without new graphics. At the same time, you should still download all 30 gigs. 20. Procurement for donation skins in multiplayer. 21. In the original, for some unknown reason, removed some memetic phrases from the characters. For example, "Im wasted" by the dryad. 22. To change the hotkeys, you need to edit the text file in the game folder. And you are informed about this directly in the game settings and even carefully talked about the way. 23.     Blizzard ruined my 18 year old game totally. Warcraft 3 classic is now unplayable for me thanks to blizzard and the new reforged update. 0/10 horrible product, forcing classic players to update as well which only brings the problems of the new game to the old one and makes it unplayable.

    OK, I PLAYED WC3 WHEN I AS 7 IN 2005 loved the hell out of so this reforged stuff is 8 out 10 **** the rest is good the graphics are good the maps are beautiful but when is see the multiplayer **** I'm pissed mostly about how whatever you make in the game belongs to blizzard they are now a **** company, not the one I remember in my childhood. blizzard get your **** in order.

    i Though fallout 76 was bad when it was released. Blizzard: Hold my beer.. Reforged is the biggest pile of crap since fallout 76s release. ON TOP of this. you tarnish the orginal wc3 classic . Hope they never do another remaster with any games..

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
