    This game not only takes a step backward when it was supposed to be a 'remaster,' it also forcefully replaces the original Warcraft III by merging the two together, tarnishing the original game with this incredibly buggy, unfinished, falsely advertise mess of a game. Warcraft III: Reforged is    Broken promises and a broken game, that is what Activision Blizzard is trying to sell you.

    Warcraft III: Reforged is proof that the Blizzard that was once revered as one of the best, most passionate video game developers is no longer. Now, we're left with a company who's only goal is to milk out as much money with as little effort as possible. This company has lost it's charm, it's goal, it's fanbase, and the respect of gamers everywhere.

    The game is not even trying, because if you don't like it, you CAN NOT get a refund.

As someone who grew up with Blizzard games, it is so gut wrenching to see what this once beloved company has turned in to.

    They tried to build hype by showing a whole new version of the infamous Arthas/Stratholme cut-scene in their trailer, only for that same cut-scene to be nowhere to be found in-game. None of the other cut-scenes were changed either, aside from the Arthas vs Illidan scene. The new UI they showcased is also not present, along with other changes that were promised, such as retconning the story slightly to be in more line with WoW's lore.

    Also plenty of bugs, because Activision Blizzard, a billion dollar corporation, is too cheap to spend any of the absurd amount of money they have to actually test their game properly.

    The biggest insult though, is that they ruined the original Warcraft 3 with this game, taking away features from the original, and shafting those who simply wanted to play the classic version of Warcraft 3.

    How can you care so little about your legacy, Blizzard? I get it, Daddy Activision and your shareholders are hungry and need to see more profits, but maybe.... just maybe, you could also earn profit (and respect) by actually making a good game! I know, shocking concept, right? Sure, you probably did make a killing from convincing us old fans of yours to purchase the game with your shady false advertising, but you have also made sure that many consumers like myself will not be spending another penny on your company. That is, until you can put aside your corporate greed and actually put time and effort into your future titles. I'm not even remotely excited for Diablo 4 at this point, especially if this is how you treat your legacy titles. No doubt that'll just be a cash grab too, right?

    I've been waiting for months for this to drop, simply because ever since they patched classic, heroes lose the ability to carry items in campaign mode. Now there's about 50 other problems to go along with it, because they MERGED my almost 20 year old game with this TRASH. Now I have to wait even LONGER for them to fix this. This is NOT the Blizzard I grew up with.

    I would love to leave a positive review for this game. But sadly since the update I am not even able to play the game. Can operate in the menu somewhat steadily only when I have set the resolution to 800x600. Every time i try to create the campaign i get an auto-defeat pop-up.     Having bought this as pre order being a huge fan and still a player of the original on my old laptop, horrified to see they have now made old psi for game obsolete, have falsely advertised a product by promising items during pre order and in release not delivering. Absolute waste of money for NO new promised gameplay or footage.     Terrible optimisation, they removed A LOT of features they promised back in 2018 and there are endless bugs. I never thought a game could get worse than Fallout 76 but here we are.

    This remaster of a masterpiece from nearly 20 years ago was a quick and easy way for Activision Blizzard to grab as much money possible from the WoW fanboys and ditch the true Warcraft 3 fans.

    Unbelievable betrayal of people that pay good money for this **** product. It’s unconscionable that refunding is almost unheard of and that you have to make such an effort and “win a lotto “ so to speak, to get one. I hope they go bankrupt someday soon for their greed.

They did remake of AoE 2 as a perfect sample of remaking.

    There is my Pro/Cons list:
    Pros
    - Models are kinda good (could be way better)
    - Hosting custom games on Blizz servers (it's also disadvantage, because they left this as only option), which can prevent some problems with port allowing etc.
    - Story is untouoched (I'm really not fan of WOW story line)
    Really don't know what more should I add here to be honest...

    Cons
    - Old GUI
    - No engine improvement (crappy FPS, worse then old game back in the days)
    - Locked hosting only to their servers
    - Ranks and profiles missing
    - Wierd feels of new menu (looks more like mobile game, not very smooth and intuitive)
    - Terrible animation due tu old 30Hz lock (really doesn't look good with the new models)
    - No remastered cutscenes as advertisement
    - No remastered Cinematic
    - Forced merge of classic and reforged (really should be two splitted comunities)
    - Still old game limitation such as unit locks etc. (due to merge of comunities to make balanced versus mode)
    - Buggy af (sometimes unplayable)
    - Radio silence instead of making statement about the future of the game
    - Banning reasonable angry fanbase
    - Making every custom game yours (Thats pretty much killing the moding comunity.. Ofc there will be generic TD etc., but nobody with really great idea is going to make it in WC3, because Blizzard will steal the idea and present it as own)

    So my verdict for now is 1/10. You just managed to to produce reskined cashgrab game and kill old good WC3 just in a single blow. I'm willing to change my review as soon as Blizzard your promises and fix the game.

    PS: BLIZZARD please! Make some statement, road map how to fix and save WC3 instead of banning angry fanbase. We have all rights to be angrry at you for what you did to our lovely game....

    They even managed to screw up the single player campaign! They changed dialogue (pasted "Hellscream" over "Grom", got rid of unit dialogue such as the Dryad's "I'm so wasted", etc), the UI doesn't feel at all updated, the ground texture is awful (no detail or depth), etc.

    Awful.

    Over are all the good old days and Warcaft got destroyed 100%... Yes, even the good old classic which is not playable anymore... what a big big big shame...

    First, update patch is completely broken. Doesn't even work (freezes at 65%, no "repair" option, undo option, etc). Then when I dig in, I find out I have to download all of Reforged? 24 gigs of wasted **** space when all I wanted was to just keep playing my classic game like I did with SC1.

    Way to go Blizzard. I don't have time to dl 24 gigs or the headache if the patcher is still broken. Probably never going to touch Legion TD again. Oh well, another one of now ~50 moves by the gaming industry that makes me no longer a gamer.    … Expand

Отдать свою культовую игру на разработку каким то аутсорсерам даже с опытом работы это просто позорище потому что это не только не уважение к своим фанат, но еще и не уважение к своему творению. И вот последствия данного решения. Графика для 2020 года просто позорище даже в хотсе лучше, модельки нарисованыМне кажется что в истории видео игр никогда не было такой халтуры как рефордж. И то что обещали разработчики почти не присутствует в игре. И близзард оправдывает это тем что фанаты сами не хотели ничего менять вот они и отказались от обещанных изменений, но на самом деле очевидно что близзард просто не успели ничего сделать потому что кое что они все таки переделали из того что было обещано. Например как миссия очищение Стратхольма и Кель'талас и они даже снизошли на то что бы переснять один синиматик и самое смешное что он стал выглядеть еще хуже чем в 2002 году, а когда близзард снимали такие синиматики что они выглядели даже лучше большинство фильмом в наше время. Все выше перечисленное это следствия вытекающие из одной большой проблемы игровой индустрии. В близзард почти не осталось в руководстве настоящих разработчиков только бизнесмены, а бизнесмен думает только об одном как потратить по меньше но при этом заработать по больше.… Expand

    this must border on criminal with what they’ve sold to us compared to what was promised. Their silence on it is deafening.     I have been a gamer for over 20 years,and bliz was my first love,my first game developer,my childhood was flooded with dreams about the games i was playing during the day but now now its like I've been given poison acid to drink,i am disappointed beyond words.

    An absolutely horrendous remaster. They're just milking the brand of the legendary Warcraft series.

    I would say , alright you screwed up with the bugs and so, but your pathetic Customer Services reaction to ban people, oh boy... You've just started a war against the Gaming Nation. Get ready!

    It actually ruined the classic version of the game , and it's not even playable , everything is laggy and broken , and most of features from classic are removed. I actually hope they fix it

    A massive disappointment. Laggy from the mains creen and looks often very goofy and sometimes arguably worse then the original. As someone who was looking foward to this release am very sad.

It had a bullet points styled outline of all the ways that this experience has been downgraded from: -Size (2GB --> 25GB) -Optimization(used to run on older computers....now ha ha) -Content changes(removal)    0, on the principle that this release has replaced an experience entirely with something less than the

    It is not perfect, but it is still very decent. I have played 4 campaigns on hard with no bugs. New graphic is awesome. Yes, it would be very nice to have those new cinematics and dynamic cutscenes, but the current ones are pretty decent aswell. Problem is with multiplayer, because there are not any ranked modes now, but that will be added in future patches i believe. So for now 7/10 andIt is not perfect, but it is still very decent.     False Advertising and breaking the original game even if you didn't purchase this **** "Remake".     fix your game! I can't believe they ruined this one so much. Dissapointed that the game is even worse than beta. Instant defeat out of nowhere while playing campaing mode, most models look weirdly realistic and plainly ugly

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
