    I made a MetaCritic account just to post this. There were so many promises and yet they delivered on none of them. From a developer perspective, it looks and feels like they took every single shortcut in the book just to get the game out of the door.
    Blizzard has officially been taken over by the suits at Activision - The magic is gone.

    4+ hours of reformed cutscene are not to the quality that they show on the site to buy the game. Killed a good portion of the custom game scene. Game seems to run at a smooth 10 fps in higher resolutions. Random crashes are to be expected frequently. On launch missions auto failed. And is generally not made with the same love as the original WC3, which was also broken with the launch of4+ hours of reformed cutscene are not to the quality that they show on the site to buy the game.     Багов тоже много, особенно, лично меня, бесит с цветом игроков, к примеру: у моего противника здания могут иметь 2 цвета, а его войска вообще в 3-ий цвет перекрашены...
    Вообщем, я уже потерял веру в Blizzard :(    Радуют только модели, да и то не все. Лагов много, даже в меню игры, в меню игры, Карл!!! Как?

The new UI is likewise something I would expect from an indie dev making his first demo game. Blizzard spent years being known for their excellent polish. Smooth, intuitive and gorgeous UIs were somethingPaid $30 to receive a buggier, less accessible version of a game I have owned for 17 years. The graphics are, in my opinion, one of the ugliest things I have ever seen in my entire life. The new UI is likewise something I would expect from an indie dev making his first demo game. Blizzard spent years being known for their excellent polish. Smooth, intuitive and gorgeous UIs were something they were famous for. The Reforged UI is ugly, awkward, and looks like it was designed for a smartphone screen, or at least 800x600 resolution with its tiny buttons, tiny text, and massive chunks of wasted space.
    If the game were just ugly, I'd probably give it a 4 or a 5, but its horrid visuals are not the real problem.

    Blizzard, still mad about losing rights to Dota, changed their ToS to include that any custom maps users create belong to Blizzard. Nobody is going to put in the work to create a custom map if there's the possibility that their idea will be stolen from them, with no credit given to them at all. Many professional RTS players agree that WC3 isn't a particularly great RTS. WC3's outstanding success and popularity came from the custom map scene, which has been strangled to death before it could be reborn. I would occasionally play normal melee maps in the past, but I bought Reforged specifically to experience the revival of the custom map scene. I thought Blizzard would have learned from SC2 that their invasive ToS will drive away map makers, but evidently not.

    In summary, Warcraft 3 Reforged is a direct, and significant downgrade from the original game, and to rub salt in the wound, the original game is no longer available. One of my favorite games, that I have enjoyed since childhood and have never stopped loving, and would still play even up until last month, is now gone forever, and Blizzard expects me to pay them to access its mangled corpse. I sincerely hope they approve my refund request, and this will be the last time I ever support Blizzard.    … Expand

    - If you were somehow lucky enough to work on custom games, don't bother. Blizzard will take all credit for your work and not even credit your name.
    - This game, somehow, prevents the original Warcraft III from being playable, so you can't even go back to your original copy, it's been made virtually unplayable. If you install a fresh copy of Warcraft III, you have to make sure it's from the disc, as the game will automatically update if installed from the Battle.net app. After you install your copy of Warcraft III, you can never turn on Battle.net or it will attempt to update your copy of Warcraft III. The single player content for Warcraft III will be untouched and playable, but the online play is no longer possible as old Battle.net servers are gone, and the new servers require the Battle.net app.

    *Don't blame the development team, they likely knew the game was unfinished. Blame the corporate side of Blizzard for rushing the game out to make a last minute revenue gain in Q4 2019.*    … Expand

    There are so many bugs in this game it's almost unplayable. Just a few worth mentioning is the very low FPS rate, especially when in larger campaign battles.     The game is absolute trash. They destroyed a 17 year masterpiece in a matter of days. The promised better visuals, more voice lines and better cinematics ingame were all but promotional purposes only. What also makes it worse is the bad servers and the change in their EULA, which means all custom games you or anyone has made belongs to them.

    This is the first and only game I have ever returned in my life and it looks like I was lucky to get my money refunded.

    Warcraft 3 is one of my favourite games of all time.
    Remember when Blizzard used to release games when they were ready?

    Reforged is a forty dollar price tag for useless ugly graphical improvements. I say useless because visibility in actual gameplay is at an all time low. Recognizable icons used throughout Warcraft 3 and World of Warcraft are redone in a bad looking and confusing way. The models look much worse in motion, so don't be fooled by screenshots or up close renders.

    So what's left, without the graphical improvements? The original game made worse. Nothing of value was added to Reforged, but even more damning is the old features taken out. Ladders, clans, offline mode, custom campaigns. New connectivity issues and crashes that makes the game harder to play and enjoy. It sucks, please don't waste your money buying this crap.    … Expand

    One of the most disappointing days in a long time. I was promised so much more with this game and I knew I should not have trusted Blizzard. I did not pre-order it just saw that it could be purchased. I mean what could go wrong? Everything it seems...

    Ладно, не успели. Ладно, не очень получилась игра. Доработаете со временем. Зачем Blizzard надо было убирать классический Warcraft 3 и присоединять к новому сырому клиенту. Оставили бы 2 версии с возможностью выбора в лончере поставил бы 5, хотя бы за попытку сделать ремастер (пусть и неудачный), а так ставлю 0 за наплевательское отношение к пользователям.Ладно, не успели.     Into the game > Custom map > Create a room > Game name "Taiwan", it can't be opened, unless using "TW"... I buy this game just a respect for this "classic game", not a game company

    I am an avid mapmaker as well, and all the model sizes are off and no model shadows. now that "blizzard" can actively rip thru my maps and delete them for copyright material. I don't think I could in good conscience support the editor and 25gb download of a whale.    … Expand

    Das alte Spiel neu aufgesetzt allerdings in schlecht. Dafür 30 € zu verlangen ist eine Unverschämtheit. Nutzer in Europa können das Spiel innerhalb von 14 Tagen per Gesetz widerrufen. Dafür genügt eine E-Mail an den Blizzard support

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
