    Das ist die Vorgeschichte zu Life is Strange 2.

    Ist größenteils traurig, aber am Ende denkt man sich, dass es ganz cool war dieses Spiel for Life is Strange 2 zu spielen, finde ich zumindest und ich habe mir bisher nur die kurze Beschreibung auf der Shopseite durchgelesen.

    Good little teaser for the Life is Strange sequel, although not as interesting as the first game.
    That's probably due to it being something that's already seen - with all the social, personal and emotional issues that the short game touched upon.

It is a simple self-contained episode that doesn't do as much but I feel that I still find myself loving it. I think the game while short is one of my favorite in the LiS Franchise. This one just fills me with such unexpected wonder. I love the ways the game displays the troubles of a kid who has to take care of his dad and how he copes with it with a wild imagination and trouble past behind him. It's free, so if you want, just play it and enjoy.… Expand

    Captain Spirit is a short little adventure. It's scope is very limited, but that doesnt stop it from deliviring a decent, nuanced and sympathetic look into a broken family, that has been struck by tragedy, from the eyes of a boy with a wide and rich imagination, which has helped him to cope with the family trauma.
    The small environment in which the game takes place is also well executed    Captain Spirit is a short little adventure. It's scope is very limited, but that doesnt stop it from deliviring a decent, nuanced and sympathetic look into a broken family, that has been struck by tragedy, from the eyes of a boy with a wide and rich imagination, which has helped him to cope with the family trauma.
    The small environment in which the game takes place is also well executed and feels like a real, lived in space, enhanced with the Dontnod's now signature, gorgeous stylized art style.

    It's just a shame that the already short story ends on a cliff hanger, because i dont have any intentions to play the, judging by the feedback that i've gotten, sub-par Life Is Strange 2.    … Expand

    For the awesome price of free, this is definitely a game worth checking out. It has heart. One thing I disliked are the puzzles which involve finding codes, because they make you pay attention, which contrasts tonally with what the protagonist is doing.

    This is a short game that gives you some background to one of the characters in chapter 2 of Life is Strange 2. Tbh it was boring as hell, the character did not catch my interest at all and all you do is go around playing with toys for 90 minutes.

    At least it's free.

    Compelling spin off of "Life Is Strange 2", in which a 9-year-old boy's Saturday afternoon flows between imaginary adventures, influenced by his sad memories, and the discovery of some facts related to his parents. (The smartphone's pin quest is nonsense anyway, but it's the game's only flaw).

    Un gioco free to play molto breve, completato in un paio di ore, ma che concentra tutte le caratteristiche e potenzialità di Life is Strange, introducendo inoltre i personaggi della seconda "saga" della serie (che non ho ancora giocato).
    AUDIO E GRAFICA: Colonna sonora piuttosto ridotta in quantità ma assolutamente non in qualità, essendo bellissima ed molto adatta al    ITALIAN:

    AUDIO E GRAFICA:
    Colonna sonora piuttosto ridotta in quantità ma assolutamente non in qualità, essendo bellissima ed molto adatta al contesto, come negli altri giochi della serie. Interessante l'opzione di non riprodurre le canzoni soggette a copyright (presumo per i creatori di contenuti).
    Il doppiaggio inoltre è sensazionale e i dialoghi sono sempre credibili.
    Anche graficamente è in linea con il resto della serie, molto curato e moderno, con grande espressività dei volti e ambienti senza oggetti ripetuti (cosa che secondo me rompe un po' la magia che si crea nei giochi story driven).
    Questo tipo di grafica e l'uso dell'Unreal Engine sono ormai una combinazione diffusissima ma bisogna ricordare che questa serie è stata tra i motivi della sua diffusione (soprattutto in questo genere).

    GAMEPLAY:
    Classico (o quasi) gameplay di Life is Strange e anche di molti giochi narrativi/esplorativi. Per ogni oggetto con cui potremo interagire potremo "chiedere" al protagonista un commento a riguardo e in alcuni casi effettuare un'azione. Mappatura dei tasti comodissima e intuitiva, per cui consiglio l'uso del controller, forse avrei preferito una maggiore differenza di velocità tra la camminata e la corsa, a tratti impercettibile.

    Il caposaldo di questa serie è la possibilità di effettuare azioni solo in determinate occasioni e la presenza di scelte da effettuare, presenti e relativamente importanti anche in questo gioco, anche se a volte sembrano più servire da tutorial per nuovi giocatori che ai fini della trama.

    Una piccola novità strettamente collegata ai nuovi personaggi e in particolare al protagonista è la possibilità di effettuare una "super-azione" sugli oggetti. Il protagonista infatti finge (o forse no?) di essere un supereroe e quindi alcune azioni andranno effettuate utilizzando i "superpoteri", a volte con ripercussioni rispetto alla stessa azione effettuata normalmente.

    STORIA:
    Ok le storie di Alex, Chloe e Rachel hanno cambiato la mia vita da videogiocatore (e forse non solo), ma anche questa nuova saga sembra presentarsi bene.

    La trama non è in realtà particolarmente rilevante in quanto, a parte che può subire variazioni a seconda delle risposte, bisognerà quasi solo completare alcuni obiettivi. Anche questa è una differenza rispetto alla serie classica, ma presumo sia dovuta alla natura breve del gioco che non permette una trama lineare e più elaborata.

    Il protagonista è un ragazzino con una grande immaginazione e passione per i supereroi, ereditata dalla madre che era una disegnatrice e anima della famiglia. Il padre è un ex giocatore di basket decaduto con problemi di alcolismo, che cerca di fare del proprio meglio ma finisce sempre per cadere in errore. Avremo inoltro solo modo di incontrare i vicini di casa, apparentemente molto gentili e affettuosi nei confronti del protagonista.

    La trama base di questo gioco è molto standard ma viene innalzata dalle fantasie di Chris e permette quindi di creare storie fantastiche, di cui quelle presenti in questo gioco spero siano solo un primo assaggio.

    Per concludere penso che sia un gioco in linea con la serie principale di Square Enix, per quello che dura ed essendo gratuito va giocato per forza, anche (e forse soprattutto) da chi non ha mai giocato a Life is Strange.
    Ricordo inoltre che è uscito PRIMA di Life is Strange 2 e quindi va giocato prima di questo, anche se non so in che modo le due trame siano collegate. Sull'ordine delle uscite Square Enix non sbaglia, basti pensare ai primi due capitoli in cui il prequel è uscito per secondo ed è stata una scelta perfetta.

    With it being free, short and basically serving as a prologue to Life is Strange 2, Captain Spirit is an endearing little story, sure to stay in your mind for a couple of days at the minimum. It's far from perfect or even all that interesting, but I glad i jumped into Chris' shoes for a couple of hours

    Coming off the amazing Life is Strange and Before the Storm, we now have a teaser of sorts getting us ready for Life is Strange 2 which recently released episode 3 of 5 so this game has been out over a year now and I must say it    Being a free game I should just be grateful and there's nothing to say to stop you getting this at all but doesn't mean I can't say anything negative about it.

    Coming off the amazing Life is Strange and Before the Storm, we now have a teaser of sorts getting us ready for Life is Strange 2 which recently released episode 3 of 5 so this game has been out over a year now and I must say it didn't do a good job getting me interested for season 2's release.

    The graphics have been much improved over the previous games but it's a far less interesting story and playing as a small 8-10 year old boy, his interactions with the world can be lost on the older generations (like me though I found it mildly entertaining) and those that don't have a hyper active imagination but I do get it's charm which I know some players will love.

    His family dynamic is both believable and tragic but the interesting dialogue options were few and far between and just not engaging enough and at the time, wanted them to be over just to progress the story and get back to the slightly mundane tasks this kid has set himself to relieve the boredom of the day. Shame he seems to offset some of that boredom on to me.

    You'll get about 2 hours out of this game which by the end, just didn't do it's job in getting me interested for Season 2 or anything involving this kids world, but being a big fan of the original series, it has massive shoes to fill and I feel that's not too much to ask and I'm not feeling it here but it is trying and going in it's own and new direction.

    I do recommend this but mainly because it's free and does follow the narrative choice based game I crave but even though this "teaser" is free, just wasn't enough.    … Expand

    This doesn’t really feel like a complete story; it ends on a cliffhanger, and really doesn’t feel like it has much of a resolution. It seems more like an ad for Life is Strange 2, which the end of the game promises that Chris will return in.

    The game is melancholic, with Chris making the best of his situation while his dad is an alcoholic mess who wants to care for Chris, but not so much that he doesn’t want to get drunk and angry at the world. The gameplay mostly consists of Chris wandering around the house and its immediate environment outside, solving some simple puzzles/tasks, while having a couple conversations/interactions with his dad.

    The whole thing is very light and very short, and doesn’t really have a whole lot of payoff.

    This isn’t really something I’d recommend to most people, but it sounds like it is going to tie into Life is Strange 2. If you were a fan of the first game, and are planning on getting the second, this might be worth checking out. Otherwise, I wouldn’t really suggest this to people – a lot of people would walk away feeling like it didn’t go anywhere/ended just as it was starting to get interesting.    … Expand

    DONTNOD Entertaiment Strikes again.
    It's not only a fascinating game, it's incredible.
    Put yourself in the shoes of a 10-year old kid called chris, that uses its imagination due to its recent mother death, in game, you control him, it's normal, but in the end, it's magical. Recomended, because, it's FREE!, so nothing bad its here.

    Favorite Thing: Yeah it's short but it's free and really well made.
    Least Favorite Thing: I would have liked to explorer the father-son relationship more.

    By finding extraordinary in completely ordinary situations (there are no supernatural elements in The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, and there are actually no real adventures either) Dontnod reminded me why I fell in love with the studio. [09/2018, p.54]

    A worthy (and free) successor to Life is Strange, and an intriguing teaser for the full sequel. Dontnod have improved on most accounts and look to draw in new fans with this prologue.
