This is a very entertaining game, story is very good and graphics are outstanding. the only think I would say was a down for this game is that you need to go back to missions complete 100% of the game because you don't have the necessary gear.

Unlike everyone else complaining about the story being linear though....what do they think Mass Effect, Black Ops, Dead Space, Doom, Uncharted, Halo, and almost every other game like this is? LINEAR!! It is a story based game because there is a story to tell! You don't get to choose how the story goes...you want that, go back to playing Knights of the Old Republic..

This game brought new twists into the game play while keeping it as similar as possible as the previous game so as not to confuse the hell out of everyone by having to remap entire control systems (looking DIRECTLY at you Assassin's Creed). Adding in the ability to craft ammo and grenades on the fly was extremely smart and made sense in the greater scheme.

Truly the only thing I ever dreaded were QTE's...which thankfully were eliminated for the most part unless you got careless and let a wolf or bear get on top of you. Otherwise, everything about this game is just solid from top to bottom.

Rewards are nice too...like all the interesting outfits that came with stat bonuses, and multiple types of weapons in each class to get and upgrade. Most people still focused on the bow, while I still loved my assault rifle oh so very much.

Overall, this is a great game you can definitely play many times to see how many ways you can beat the game, go for all the achievements, or be a completionist like me and try to get all treasures, relics, and story related items to 100% on the first go.

I know I played the 2013 reboot of Tomb Raider for months over and over, and I don't see this being any different.

Instead of taking risks Crystal Dynamics instead decided to further polish and perfect the formula from Tomb Raider (2013), with incredible graphics, great voice acting and polished gameplay the game definitely is definitely worth trying out. If you really enjoyed the first game you will like this game just as much if not more.

This game is very good. The main story is what we expect of a Tomb Raider. New mechanics, accessories, and equipment have added many possibilities to the gameplay.
DLCs are great and very well written.
New game modes have also enriched the game and keep several players active.

8.5/10. What an amazing improvement since the 2013 reboot. Honestly, this game makes the first entry look like a little project to greenlight something much bigger. And it is SO much bigger. Tons of guns to unlock, new movement or fighting mechanic introduced every few cutscenes, extended skill tree, and plethora of things to collect. The scope of the things to do in this game seems enormous. Of course, it has its downsides, as some of the collectibles and activities seemed rather unnecessary.
Let me tell you, one thing this game definitely stands out with is the environmental design. Every new area you enter is a treat to the eye, every landscape is colossal, dramatic, and has its own idea. Same goes for the tombs you can enter - while in the 2013 reboot every tomb looked sort of the same, this time, each time you encounter a tomb is an opportunity to gaze at the massive work done by the artists.
If you want to play any of the new Tomb Raiders, just skip the first one and play this, trust me.

    + beautifully designed landscapes
+ plenty of collectibles and things to do
+ more tombs with each having its own idea
+ characters and writing done better this time...

    - ...but the story is still a little bland...
    - ...and a bit dragged out in the middle
    - sometimes - too much collectibles
    - if you're an achievement hunter, good luck, there's an achievement for virtually every thing you can do in this game, not all of which are that fun, a total of 143.

I heard, Rise has a lot of shootouts and enemy killing during story but after finishing it I think it has a bit too much action for my taste and it's lacking more puzzles.
Also it has worse optimization for PC because I had a few random FPS drops sometimes during gameplay.

The funny thing is every place she explores seems to be on the brink of collapse for over a thousand years until she shows up and ropes up the right arrow and trashes the place. Lara's world is full of guns that require 5-10 bullets to kill a person, and she's always up for relaxing near a fireplace where she makes weapons and ammo out of deer skin and junk even while there's an urgent situation and a shortage of time. Combat in this game is better experienced in stealth mode, but no worries if your enemies catch sight of you and punch a few holes in your head--a few herbs will fix that right up. The puzzles are usually a good break from combat, but occasionally they feel contrived: want to burn that ice barrier? Your napalm arrows are useless, but kicking it with your feet will work!

Now for the story: it's good as games go, but sometimes the character twists feel contrived, and the B aspect is predictable and the story will be the same the second playthrough.

I don't know how to rate this game because I had no expectations. I've never played a Tomb Raider before. So, I'll go with the flow. 8/10 it is.

There is nothing really new here, which is ok, but it really feels to casual. Played it on the hardest difficulty Survival mode and it still was, except maybe a handful encounters, just easy.
To diminish the difficulty even more, almost all puzzles are in optional tombs, which can be solved in a few minutes. I remember the hunting for collectibles as more fun in the previous installation.

I would still recommend it, but don't expect a revolution. I hope they cut down on playing it safe for the next episode.

I do have some minor complaints, though: Extreme Survivor mode is extremely unforgiving, the first two levels where they TEACH YOU THE CONTROLS have ZERO save points. Missed that last jump? Enjoy starting back at the beginning, 15 minutes ago. Fortunately I got the hang of them pretty quickly, where the first level took me 5-7 tries, the second took me 3. I rarely missed jumps after that.

Also Laura seems to get hurt in nearly every cut scene... only to walk it off within 15 seconds. C'mon.

The crafting was fun, but pretty bare bones. Once you get the shotgun, none of the animals are even remotely challenging. To avoid being hit by the bear, the most dangerous animal, all you have to do is spam C and then shoot it repeatedly after it swings at you. Rinse and repeat.

My last minor quibble is the character Jonah. He was incredibly annoying, but fortunately he's only there for the first and last bits.

It also got to a point where, I don't know if it was a bug or not, but later on in the game it got very CPU heavy. CPU heavy to the point where the 'lowest' settings still made the game unplayable. Other than those core issues, the game is beautiful on High settings, I didn't push it for Ultra.

While getting side-tracked, lost, dying, completing tombs and doing side quest missions/challenges, I finished the game with around 87% done in 21.4 hours of Steam playtime. So it will definitely give you your monies worth and at a sale price of $11.99, kinda hard to beat that.

As a friendly tip, if you are an achievement hunter, I suggest you read and go through all the achievements. Because some of them require you to do them before you beat the game. Tomb Raider is one of those game series that I will always try to get 100% completion, I don't know why, it just feels good. I know for fact that I'll be hoping back into the game to get that 100% achievement. I personally can't wait to get "Shadow of the Tomb Raider" on sale and play that Tomb Raider next.

I'd just like to first say how much I love the voice actress of Lara, she does an incredible job of bringing her to life and honestly she's a big reason as to why I've enjoyed the last two games so much, she really does knock it out of the park and she's not alone, the voice work across the board was solid apart from Jonah who I personally didn't like. The story itself was also interestingI'd just like to first say how much I love the voice actress of Lara, she does an incredible job of bringing her to life and honestly she's a big reason as to why I've enjoyed the last two games so much, she really does knock it out of the park and she's not alone, the voice work across the board was solid apart from Jonah who I personally didn't like. The story itself was also interesting and kept me engaged and didn't hold the voice actors back at all.

One of the games other big strengths is the climbing/platforming, I really feel it does this better than Uncharted mainly due to how many tools Lara has at her disposable, it was nice to see Uncharted 4 build upon their system by "stealing" the porous wall mechanic from Tomb Raider, it's a little thing but it adds a lot, and Rise has lots of these little mechanics that keep the gameplay fresh throughout. I would say Uncharted 4 definitely edged out Rise when it came to gunplay though, especially AI which was particularly awful in Rise, I was only playing on normal difficulty so maybe it's better on higher difficulties, but the enemies would just stand there after a friend had been headshot with their hand in the air while I primed another arrow which was really silly. Another area I felt UC4 edged out Rise was "epic moments", these set pieces are often my favourite things about both series and Rise just didn't have any, it had some cool moments but nothing truly wow, the Definitive Edition definitely had its moments and I was waiting for Rise to have its all the way until the end but it never came.

My biggest annoyance personally was performance though, this is the first game where I really struggled to maintain 1080p/60fps without drops, having to drop to the medium preset with 16x AF and high detail being the only variance from the preset. The game started off great, no performance issues at all on very high settings but it got worse and worse as the game went on, especially any zone outside just tanked the frame rate on higher settings. And the weird thing about it was most of the time nothing was happening, it was just running through the world or even just panning the camera. I'm running a 3570k @ 4.3GHz, MSI GTX 970 4G heavily overclocked, 8GB DDR3, SSD on Windows 10, this machine runs Witcher 3 at 1080p/60 without a dropped frame on a mix of high/ultra so I really feel it's an optimisation issue more so than a lack of power on my part. I really didn't like having to dumb down the graphics but performance is always my priority, I just don't usually have to sacrifice so much to achieve it (I really missed having Purehair enabled which looked great compared to Hairworks IMO).

Also, while it's not an open world game, you'll be able to explore the areas around you in a fairly free manner, unlike the previous game which had an awfully linear design throughout. Naturally, with a more open structure comes a whole lot of side stuff. Completionists will have a field day with this game, as there are numerous collectibles, secrets and ruins to discover. Most of them are more filler than killer, though, and I personally don't feel the need to go looking for every single hidden cache or ancient artifact.

The story's alright, I suppose. Nothing mind-blowing, but it's not bad either. It takes a lot of cues from Indiana Jones movies, particularly The Last Crusade. The voice acting is pretty good and the cutscenes are well done. The whole game looks gorgeous both in gameplay and during cutscenes, but you'll need a lot of horsepower if you want to crank all the settings up and get a stable 60fps.

The PC port seems to have been made pretty well. There is a satisfying amount of options available and the overall optimisation is great, I haven't noticed any stuttering or weird drops in framerate. It's a demanding title, yes, but it's also one of the best looking games I've ever seen. I cannot say anything about the keyboard and mouse controls, since I've been using an Xbox controller to play this.

Overall, it's a damn fine action/adventure game and in my opinion the best Lara Croft game to date. And all you awkward teen boys can stop worrying, Lara is still plenty hot even without her tight shorts and enormous breasts.

Tomb Raider 2013 is one of my most favorite games ever.. Needless to say I was excited to play the sequel..
Unfortunately, they dropped the gritty tone of the original to chase uncharted….
Lara sets out to uncover a mystery her father was mocked for..
This game starts out in the Serbian mountains and the majority of the game keeps you in the snow covered mountains…
And of course there are bad guys after the same artifact you are..
    So youre not alone…
The tomb raider reboot introduced a crafting system which has been brought back, but this time feels much more in the background..
You can gather items and hunt animals for materials to craft bandages and upgrade your weapons…
But none of this is forced…
And much like the past game you upgrade your weapons at a campfire, which also acts as a fast travel point and a place for you to spend your skill points as you level up…
Rise of the tomb raider feels much more linear this time around..
The world doesn’t really feel as connected as the original…
Its for the most part a linear path that you traverse with climbing aces and ropes..
The game feels much more like assassins creed this time around because of this…
It gives uncharted 4 a run for its money with how much climbing you actually do here…
As well as the series as a whole during the few epic chase sequences qhich are easily some of my favorite moments in the entire game…
When you aren’t climbing there are a few openish sections you can explore but the mistake the original made is back as well with secrets being locked off until you progress further in the story to unlock the needed tool and come back...
This is a cheap tactic to prolong gameplay hours…
but more so its frustrating and ironically discourages exploration…
Why look around when 1 in 2 areas is going to tell me to come back later?
I might as well just ignore everything and run forward..
This is what I ended up doing..
Fortunately rise of the tomb raider is gorgeous, and traversing the parquor sections and solving environmental puzzles old fans will be happy to see returned outside of just being secrets is a great deal of fun…
And the 3rd person shooter combat feels decently nice, its not uncharted good, but its passable.. you have the option to stealth or shoot your way through most sections… you can also dodge attacks and counter….
The puzzle pieces are all here for this to be a masterpiece of a game…
except theyre missing the center piece… the one thing that makes all of this come together and work for uncharted in such a beautiful way…
    And that’s character…
Theres not a single well written character in this entire game…
    This includes lara…
The original this wasn’t so.. the game felt so real and you felt so vulnerable.. not only having to survive enemies but the environment.. I cared the entire way.. here however youre just a girl Nathan drake with 0 personality…
Which ultimately makes this feel like just a generic third person shooter experience…
There was no reason to stray away from the unique gritty adventure they had going on with tomb raider 2013, but they did and the feel of the game suffered for it
And Im not sure if this story was game of thrones inspired, but it felt pretty copy and paste making every turn so predictable, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing if again the characters had character, but they didn’t.. I wasn’t invested in the story at all…
The PS4 20 year celebration version also comes with all of the dlc…
Endurance which can be played either single or co op where youre tasked with surviving by eating food and gathering resources.. Very fun idea, but the challenges for the trophies wont unlock unless they are an active challenge, which if youre trophy hunting kills all reason to continue if there are no more trophy related challenges to do…
cold darkness which is a stealth zombie dlc where you have to infiltrate a research base for a chemical weapon
as well as Baba Yaga and Blood ties which ill be reviewing on their own as they are each about an hour long expansion with their own stories..
While I do wish the characters were better written in Rise of The Tomb Raider, I still feel is a quality experience, well worth your money if youre a fan of action adventure…
I Give Rise of The Tomb Raider..

Great game overall and I had loads of fun with it. This being said, apart from technical improvements (graphics), it felt inferior in every away to the previous game, mainly in terms of plot, characters and overall feeling of progression / accomplishment. But this is purely subjective opinion and I still recommend this game.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is a worthy follow up to the 2013 reboot. This sequel sees Lara setting off on another adventure to stop an evil organization from getting their hands on a powerful artifact. This is the Lara we have been waiting to see. She is stronger and more independent building off the experiences she had in the previous game. The sequel does a good job of expanding upon Lara's abilities and skills. You have your complement of weapons from the first game that can be upgraded finding salvage. You also can craft new weapons by finding weapon parts. There are plenty of collectibles and relics to find.

The most notable and appreciated addition to the game is the number of tombs. Crystal Dynamics have made good on the criticism of the lack of tombs in the 2013 game. These tombs are entirely optional though they do offer some unique new skills for Lara to use. The Tombs themselves are fairly straightforward and only offer a mild challenge. Many of the puzzles aren't particularly difficult which is a bit of a disappointment.

I also find myself wishing the game wasn't quite so linear. This is compounded by the fact that it seems like the devs felt it was necessary to put white paint on climbable surfaces. Fortunately there are challenges and side missions that can offer some deviation. The other thing I find irritating is that sometimes the map is sluggish to reload.

In terms of graphical fidelity Rise of the Tomb Raider is one of the best looking games on the market today. Nixxes once again shows that they are capable of making a competent PC port. In fact to call it a port isn't doing the game justice. There has been considerable effort made to make the PC version feel like a proper PC release. PC users can enjoy a variety of options like sun soft shadows, HBAO+, Purehair, and high resolution textures. It needs to be said that this game is very pretty and as such it can be quite demanding.

You will need at least 4gb of Vram to use Very High textures. The game also seems to be CPU intensive so folks with older i3's may find some difficulty. You will also want to make sure you have at least 8gb of ram. I run the game on a modest GTX 750 ti with 2gb of GDDR5 vram. I also run the game on an i5 with 8gb of total ram. Due to my vram I had to turn texture resolution down to medium. Prior to the latest patch I experienced some stuttering in certain areas. After the recent patch those instances haven't been as common. I run the game at 1050p so be mindful that it will be difficult to hit 60 fps at 1080 unless you have a high end GPU. Dropping your resolution to 900 or even 720p may yield a higher more consistent frame rate. Load times will also be a bit longer if your using a mechanical drive instead of a SSD. I highly recommend this game if you enjoyed the 2013 reboot. But be mindful of your system specs and that you may need to do a bit of tweaking to get an optimal experience.

Everything is good about this game, yet there are few major bugs that i encountered during my yesterday's, first play-through on PC. 1) Major FPS drops, especially during the cut scenes 2) Game got stuck a couple of times, and i had to 'end-task' it Hopefully they fix it soon. Story line seems Ok, at least till that part that i've finished so far. - 7/10

I love the massive environments to explore, the improved combat, and the mixture of platforming, combat, and stealth all blended into one great game. However, despite these improvements, I still have some complaints. The puzzles didn't really seem that challenging, and the combat can be a mess at some times. Also, i'm playing the PC version of the game; and compared to the Xbox One version of the game, the PC port is poorly done; having some FPS drops during cutscenes. However, despite some technical issues and minor annoyances, I enjoyed this game; it's not worth buying an Xbox One for, but it's still very good.

Anyway now that is out the way this game is an improvement on every aspect of the Tomb Raider that came out back in 2013 Lara looks stunning almost life like the cut scenes grab you and the bad guys want to make you dislike them from the moment you meet them.

The game also has hours of replay value if your a completionist like myself there is plenty of collectibles to find plenty of caches to search for plenty of monoliths to read and lots of lore the challenge tombs are there and are worth doing because they give you handy little bonuses i just feel as though there could of been a few more tombs to do throughout the game.

The puzzles are there to but mainly in the challenge tombs there is maybe one or two in the main story to complete and i feel there could have been a few more as puzzles for me is a huge plus in Tomb Raider.

I would certainly say go and get a copy of this game it is worth every penny you pay for it and the hours if fun you'll get from it.

Poison arrows can stealth kill 4-5 enemies at one go, and you get those very early in the game. You also get hold of some bomb arrows later in the game, which means that your selection of weapons are more or less down to 2; Bow or shotgun on close encounter. But that being said, the game offers some good entertainment and you actually feel like a tomb raider at times, when you're off into one of the optional tombs, trying to figure out what story lies behind it. All in all, a very worthwhile gaming experience, though not with that much replay value after you've played it the first time through. Expand

This is definitely an excellent game in terms of graphics and controls.
Some potential improvements I hope to see in the future:
--- Make the story nonlinear and let players' decision influence characters' fate.
--- Make more tombs, larger maps, longer games and smaller file size. Learn from Witcher 3.

It isn't really better than the first title and it doesn't really revolutionise anything from the last game but it's a solid entry. It's more of the same goodness that the previous title offered. If you liked the previous title, you will like this game, just don't expect much more.

There are many platforming segements that while visualing appealing are typically on rails and you have little choice in how to go about climbing things and almost no chance of failure. If the game has one pitfall it's this. The platforming is fairly easy.

The game is strongest in it's challenge tombs, which oddly despite the game being called "Tomb Raider" are not integral to the games completion or where the plot pulls you, but solving the tombs puzzles is always satisfying and usually involves a bit of thinking.

The cut-scenes, though frequent and on the longer side, never tend to bore the player, but rather immerse him in a great and exciting story. The content is extensive and there's plenty to see and do, though the puzzles do tend to get a bit repetitive towards the later stages.
The gameplay is solid, though some aspects could be improved. Especially the melee fighting comes out as a bit "clunky" at times. Furthermore, the collection of scrolls and scribblings, secret coin caches, relics and other such junk that you find lying around never really makes that big of a difference. Supplies and ammunition are plentiful, negating the need for frequent crafting, though you do need some special resources in order to craft certain utilities.
The gameplay isn't too linear due to the fact that there are many chances for side quests which bring some bonuses, but are not obligatory for normal progression. The down side is that the bonuses you unlock usually become available at a later stage of the game anyway, which means you'll only really benefit from them for a short amount of time. This does however ensure that new game mechanics, which become available throughout the game, bring a new twist, resulting in a better gameplay experience.
The game also tends to vary in its pace, which was a nice surprise for me. You have your usual stealth assassination parts, but there are also parts where a firefight is necessary in order to progress. You'll also be thrust into sudden action with events such as collapsing bridges or falling rocks, which seem to come out of nowhere while you are peacefully climbing your way through the game.
Overall the game is a great experience. It's main problems lie in gameplay mechanics and the usual lag and drop in FPS. 8/10

It is what a Tomb Raider game should be: linear levels, lots of exploration and non stop action keeping the essence of the first games of the saga released in PS1; with added features like the possibility to upgrade skills and weapons. I enjoyed it very much, and the variety of secondary missions makes you want to complete it 100% which extends the lifetime of the game. Totally recommended.

One drawback to visual quality is that there is a lot of aliasing and no sensible way to remove it, also distant landscape is sometimes not that good. Gameplay wise the game is good for the most part. It is a mix of everything - exploring, puzzles, action, arcade elements, combat, stealth, gathering materials. Especially those action-arcade elements when you are escaping from somewhere can be epic. Unfortunately devs tried to make the game too flashy, some crazy jumps or fighting 20 enemies at once is not really doing anything good for this game, it is only making it look cheap. Generally a good game with very impressive visuals, all the gameplay mechanics are also very good and well thought, but some things like those mentioned above are just ridiculous. Could be better with some adjustments, but game remains engaging and impressive for the most part and has many strong points, I would give it 8.5 if there was an option, but since there is no, very solid 8. - Some of the best platforming in this semi-open world third-person narrative-driven action-adventure genre. This is an awful name, but I'm including titles such as the Uncharted games, God of War (2018), The Last of Us, etc. In most of these games, climbing is simply something that has to be done and is largely difficult to fail. While the platforming in Rise of the Tomb Raider is still rather simple and difficulty to fail at, the number of different inputs and reflex-based QTEs make it more involved and overall a more engaging process.
    - Animal fights are interesting and bring an interesting direction for the series to expand in
    - Levels are generally well designed with gorgeous, believable visuals/layouts and multiple paths/hiding spots for the enemy encounters
    - Tombs are the best part of the game and actually offer fun, though not too challenging puzzles.
    - Lara feels a lot smoother to control and both combat/exploration are generally fun. Everything is smooth and flows well - I found it a great decision to not have regenerating health during battles on the higher difficulty modes - although this ends up being trivialized by how overpowered healing becomes with the right upgrades

    Cons:
    - The two more open areas actually detract from the narrative-driven nature of the game. Going around for all the collectibles is generally not fun - especially when there is so much ground to cover.
    - Too many meaningless checklists the game strings you along to doing
    - Although the game offers you more options in combat, it is never actually difficult enough to push you into using any of these new tools - such as the intriguing on-the-fly crafting that more or less never actually needs to be utilized
    - Too much hand holding when it comes to platforming and puzzles. Detective vision makes every puzzle boil down to interacting with all the highlighted objects
    - There are too many different types of collectibles and resources - crafting in this type of game should not be so tedious with having to constantly pick up so many different items off of the terrain. Although the addition of a few new resources would make sense, I find the use of a dozen (maybe more?) resources to be unnecessary and bogs the pace of the game down
    - The audio logs/letters slow down the pace of the game too much. Why not have them play while you go through the actual game such as in Bioshock? Seems pointless to sit there and read the entries when most of them are already voiced anyways
    - Story is a disaster. Countless plot holes and inconsistent characterization. The definite low point of this game for me. I found it difficult to care about anything that was happening. I cannot stress how forgettable and sometimes even bewilderingly bad the story was.

    Final Word:
Although Rise of the Tomb Raider improves upon its predecessor in a number of different ways, especially in the actual moment-to-moment gameplay, the crafting, exploration, and story have all undergone changes that are ultimately for the worse. In this sense, while Rise of the Tomb Raider certainly has taken many steps forward from the original, it is ultimately for the worse, albeit slightly.

    Final Score:
    7.9

Good for keeping your mind busy for couple hours. Do not expect too much. Very predictable story, same secrets with even same shiny effects, mediocre level designs, uninteresting story... So as I said, if you feel bad and you need distractions it is a good choice. If you don't, then spend your precious hours to more deserving title.

It doesn't take more than 15 minutes to find out that this game is much better than the prequel. Everything ranging from the graphics (which are incredibly high quality) to a new form of gaining experience that's based on exploration rather than only killing enemies really makes this sequel shine.

Rise maintained the look and feel of the original game and improved many features that gamers felt were underwhelming in the prequel. Sprinting is now available, making travelling long distances a lot less frustrating and removing the need to jump/strafe spam to travel faster.

Rise doesn't follow the story of its prequel (aside from the reintroduction of one other character, but that isn't a big deal), which means that you don't need to play the prequel to understand this game. For fans of Square Enix's action games, stealth elements were added to this sequel, meaning combat has been improved and is a bit more satisfying to play as you can play stealthily instead of aggressively if you so desire.

Unfortunately, some peeves I have are that the Poison and Explosive Arrows are overpowered (you'll know when you use them), and that a lot of features are unnecessary to beat the game or are unlocked at times when they are no longer useful. For example, the only reason why you explore the tombs is for the sake of beating them, not for the reward.

Overall, I feel I enjoyed the game quite a bit and am happy to maintain my rating of 8 for its rather lengthy story. Rise has improved from its prequel, although its puzzles are still a bit too easy. I didn't bother with the Expedition or Endurance modes, unless they were one of the extra gameplay DLCs ( reviewed below).

    BABA YAGA DLC
I like how this DLC was embedded into the main game, and was positioned rather early on in the story. It was actually quite challenging and had a nice story to it. I liked it quite a lot, so I'll give it a 8/10.

    COLD DARKNESS DLC
This is only accessible on the main menu. It's a little map with two main objectives to complete. I recommend playing it on as hard as possible, and try not to die. Overall, this DLC was rather short, didn't contribute to the story, and was only moderately challenging, so I can only give it a 7/10.

    BLOOD TIES DLC
This is an absolute treat, and completely redeems the game's lackluster puzzles for me. You explore Lara's estate in order to collect clues to crack the combinations to her father's safe as well as his secret vault. There is plenty of documents and relics all over the map, and it actually feels rewarding to find each one of them for the story. This DLC definitely gets a 10/10 out of me, as I always love having a mystery to solve.

If you're trying to get full completion for Croft Manor, as long as you make sure to search everywhere, you will pretty much have everything found prior to the final cutscene. After that cutscene passes, you should check the study at the beginning and the cellar and secret vault to collect the rest.

    LARA'S NIGHTMARE DLC
I thought this mode was kind of stale, but the eerie environment coupled with the difficulty of trying to aim on a controller made it somewhat challenging. The boss fight was incredibly underwhelming though. Overall, it was short, had no story, and didn't have a point to it, so I will give it a 6/10.

    A mediocre game I guess?
Visuals is a huge step from Tomb Raider 2013.
    Mechanics is also fluid.
Implemented some elements from other tomb raider titles.

However, it feels lacking something that I cannot really tell / explain.

    NOTE:
Once you finished the game you will be left with an expression of "Is that it? I already finished the game? OK then."

I did not like a couple of moments: you can kill the immortals without Greek fire (stupid and rejects the whole lor and records about them) and in the battle with Constantine, you can only kill him from behind with two strikes, although there is an opportunity to hit the frontal infinitely (the dumbest solution - it would be better to cancel it)

It pretty much follows the same recipe, same model, without much new, maybe that's why it's still good, because the muscle memory still reminds us of gameplay and so on.
