    Looking good so far ! Everything is perfect . Good port and excellent graphics. Story is ok close as first one. Feels like Lara is truly allive and like watching a movie.

    Fall from great heights simulator. But seriously, this game has some great animations, great acting and great action. The graphics are also very impressive. The thing i did not very much enjoy was the cliffhanger ending. But now I'm hyped for the next game in this series. Hope it doesn't take too long.

    A mediocre game I guess?
    Visuals is a huge step from Tomb Raider 2013.
    Mechanics is also fluid.
    Implemented some elements from other tomb raider titles.

    However, it feels lacking something that I cannot really tell / explain.

    NOTE:
    Once you finished the game you will be left with an expression of "Is that it? I already finished the game? OK then."

    Ok, so Lara is a murdering, antiquity vandalising, endangered species killing, manipulative, sociopathic thief with an inhuman ability to survive frequent plunges into near freezing cold water. She single handedly causes more damage than the combined efforts of a small invasion force without once loosing control of her perfectly rendered hair. Aside from that, this is brilliant fun!

Crystal dynamics does an amazing job of bringing back Lara Croft almost perfectly and safely back into ours arms in the most surreal graphics unlike anything anywhere. The story cuts deep and the character are so well developed that it feels like her life is playing right in front of you. The gameplay is engaging and thrilling and at times leave youThis game is absolutely phenomenal.     If you liked 2013's Tomb Raider, you'll love this game. Rise of the Tomb Raider improves on its predecessor in almost every way, with better gameplay, better graphics, better sound design, better pacing and most importantly, more actual tombs to explore. Also, while it's not an open world game, you'll be able to explore the areas around you in a fairly free manner, unlike the previous gameIf you liked 2013's Tomb Raider, you'll love this game. Rise of the Tomb Raider improves on its predecessor in almost every way, with better gameplay, better graphics, better sound design, better pacing and most importantly, more actual tombs to explore. Also, while it's not an open world game, you'll be able to explore the areas around you in a fairly free manner, unlike the previous game which had an awfully linear design throughout. Naturally, with a more open structure comes a whole lot of side stuff. Completionists will have a field day with this game, as there are numerous collectibles, secrets and ruins to discover. Most of them are more filler than killer, though, and I personally don't feel the need to go looking for every single hidden cache or ancient artifact.

    The story's alright, I suppose. Nothing mind-blowing, but it's not bad either. It takes a lot of cues from Indiana Jones movies, particularly The Last Crusade. The voice acting is pretty good and the cutscenes are well done. The whole game looks gorgeous both in gameplay and during cutscenes, but you'll need a lot of horsepower if you want to crank all the settings up and get a stable 60fps.

    The PC port seems to have been made pretty well. There is a satisfying amount of options available and the overall optimisation is great, I haven't noticed any stuttering or weird drops in framerate. It's a demanding title, yes, but it's also one of the best looking games I've ever seen. I cannot say anything about the keyboard and mouse controls, since I've been using an Xbox controller to play this.

    Overall, it's a damn fine action/adventure game and in my opinion the best Lara Croft game to date. And all you awkward teen boys can stop worrying, Lara is still plenty hot even without her tight shorts and enormous breasts.    … Expand

    Again a bad PC port

    Everything is good about this game, yet there are few major bugs that i encountered during my yesterday's, first play-through on PC. 1) Major FPS drops, especially during the cut scenes 2) Game got stuck a couple of times, and i had to 'end-task' it Hopefully they fix it soon. Story line seems Ok, at least till that part that i've finished so far. - 7/10    Again a bad PC port

    The game looks great , graphics have greatly changed (for the better) Now about the story , for me personally it was intense , and it is good , AI is pretty weak , but from many. Now about optimization , it here is quite good , but could be better. My score 9 points

    This game is incredible. If you enjoyed the last one you'll enjoy this one without a doubt. I had expectations for the reboot and it blew me away, and high expectations for this one which was exceeded. Only gripes I had were some story elements (No spoiler, but important events happened at all too convenient times) and minor wonkiness with some controls. Graphics incredible, gameplayThis game is incredible. If you enjoyed the last one you'll enjoy this one without a doubt.     Amazing, if you liked 2013 tomb raider then don't hold back on this one, it makes the old one seem **** even though I loved it and it's a great port no problems for me so far

    similar to Tomb Raider Reborn, with new challenging levels, more accurate animation despite that Lara croft movement is still little bit slippery, Great level of detail, and texture quality is amazing, Lara croft is well perfected polygon, the story is little bit short, you can finish it within one week

    Great game overall and I had loads of fun with it. This being said, apart from technical improvements (graphics), it felt inferior in every away to the previous game, mainly in terms of plot, characters and overall feeling of progression / accomplishment. But this is purely subjective opinion and I still recommend this game.

    It has a nice story, though it's a bit over-used (protagonist with daddy issues). The acting in the cut scenes though is in a class of its own, and it's easy to see that a lot of time and effort went into it. The characters are acting not only with voice, but motion, emotion and gestures as well. The gameplay is a bit linear and the bow is effectively the most over powered weapon in theIt has a nice story, though it's a bit over-used (protagonist with daddy issues). Poison arrows can stealth kill 4-5 enemies at one go, and you get those very early in the game. You also get hold of some bomb arrows later in the game, which means that your selection of weapons are more or less down to 2; Bow or shotgun on close encounter. But that being said, the game offers some good entertainment and you actually feel like a tomb raider at times, when you're off into one of the optional tombs, trying to figure out what story lies behind it. All in all, a very worthwhile gaming experience, though not with that much replay value after you've played it the first time through.… Expand

    An INCREDIBLE game.
    The visuals are stunning, the gameplay is great, the way the in-game cut-scenes are integrated is wonderful.
    The story is pretty much just OK.

    I got this game for free with my new graphics card, but I DEFINITELY would've bought it anyway.

    Best graphics I've seen in a game to date! I have a GTX 970, intel i5 4690K, 16GB Ram, Windows 10. Runs perfect at 1080P, and I recommend to anyone and everyone who likes action adventure games.
    The use of in-engine cut-scenes reminds me of God of War 3 :)

    Can they make Lara Croft any sexier? Check!!! These graphics are amazing, the scenery is absolutely breathtaking and surreal, top that with amazing gameplay. Great game.

    If you're reading this, I have to state this!!! Because every people complaining about the optimization of the game actually forced the card way beyond it could handle. The game is greatly optimized, but entitled and spoiled people just set the graphics in max, because their ego-graphic-card that think can set all games to max settings.     Very high textures = 8GB VRAM (It was meant just for Titan X and 4k res)
    High textures = 4GB VRAM
    Medium textures = 2GB VRAM

    If you use more than you card could handle of course it would freeze a lot.
    And don't use SSAA anti-alias!! Use SMAA.

    Now you can forget the fear of this game not being optimized. When in fact is greatly optimized.
    The game is absolutely gorgeous, fun, great. I'm not reviewing just to repeat what other people said. I hope this instructions can help you to play the game and have a blast. :)    … Expand

    Great game. I realy enjoy it. Grapichs, sound and gameplay are awesome. The history is ok. But in the end a prefer the previous game: Tomb Raider - 2013.

Rise of the Tomb Raider makes it even better with better gameplay, better visuals, and a story that is just breathtaking. I love the massive environments to explore, the improved combat, and the mixture of platforming, combat, and stealth all blended into one great game. However, despite these improvements, I still have some complaints. The puzzles didn't really seem that challenging, and the combat can be a mess at some times. Also, i'm playing the PC version of the game; and compared to the Xbox One version of the game, the PC port is poorly done; having some FPS drops during cutscenes. However, despite some technical issues and minor annoyances, I enjoyed this game; it's not worth buying an Xbox One for, but it's still very good.

The port is alright, everyone saying it's excellent, it's not guys (looking at Mad Max, now that is a port) I have a GTX 970 and an i7 4790k @ 4,7Ghz and I get around 45-60 fps on High settingsFirs things first. If you have an AMD card I cannot tell you if it's gonna run well or not, if it does run badly I advise to turn off tesselation and have ambient occlusion on ON only as it is linked to the great Nvidia Gameworks which we all know and love so much. The frame dips are really heavy in snowy areas especially, but that does not take away from the great experience that this game is. There is more to do, more upgrades to find, more actual TOMBS in a TOMB Raider and a very well presented story. All in all the experience is better than the first one which is all you can hope for in a sequal… Expand

    Gorgeous Game just like the Game before. Nice graphics but still several performance issues. Can't say much since it's an must have (not must buy), get a friend to steam family share the Game with you and check google for an offline crack (revolt). Paying money for denuvo protected Games is basically the same as burning your money.
