Remnant II: The Forgotten Kingdom worked for me because it’s more than a rehash. Between the standalone story for the jungle realm of Yaesha and a good chunk of new booms and buffs for the more mechanically-inclined, this expansion is certainly full of good reasons to return to these realms.

While yet another return to Yaesha is slightly disappointing, everything else about The Forgotten Kingdom is a must-have for Remnant 2 players. The enemies, weapons, bosses, and the new Archetype are all up to the base game’s overall excellence. Especially at a very reasonable price, it’s easy to recommend The Forgotten Kingdom.

I never thought we'd return to a time when we got so much from a $10 DLC, but here we are. Not only does The Forgotten King deliver what fans have come to expect, but it's a terrific entry point for newcomers as well.

Remnant 2: The Forgotten Kingdom remains a worthy addition to the main game and a solid, if less exciting, successor to the Awakened King.

Remnant II: The Forgotten Kingdom is a solid entry into the Remnant franchise with fresh and unique ways to play thanks to the Invoker archetype and a host of new weapons, time and mods. Priced at USD $9.99, it’s worth picking up if you are a fan of the franchise.
