    this game has an story that is fun to follow with excellent written characters (basically 2 characters but better 2 great character then a million horrible ones, yeah elder scrolls I am calling you out) anyway the gameplay is very smooth mostly because you can rewind time when you die, which will happen a lot the combat is a little repetitive but it is okay. overall an amazing game

    A good looking and potentially fun game with two major flaws: 1. The camera angles are absolutely the worst I've ever seen in any game. Period. 90% of the time you die its because you couldn't see what you were doing because the camera angle didn't let you see the danger. 2. Only periodic saves.     An incredible game that simply doesn't put a foot wrong. Story, combat, puzzles, atmosphere, visuals etc are all perfectly realised and elegantly packaged. And the innovative 'rewind' gameplay mechanic not only works brilliantly, but also fits well with the story and doesn't feel at all gimmicky or tacked on. Provided you're not an impatient gamer, you should An incredible game that simply doesn't put a foot wrong.     Beautiful gfx, smooth intuitive gameplay, excellent sounds and a half decent story. I played the original game years ago on the Amiga when it was cutting edge so expected something a bit different and sands of time certainly delivers.     Excellent from the start to the end,should have been the game of the year.excellent combat system,jaw dropping graphics & a heroic Prince.never played anything like it.tired of FPS & pumping badguys full of lead,try this for a change.you'll never regret it.

The designers must have sat down with a few hundred tomes on Indian and near-East architecture to design the interiors and exteriors of the palace chambers. This title blurs the line b/n gaming and art. The story is also unusually compelling; manipulate time to correct a curse you unleashed yourself.     This game is damn near perfect . Jump around , slice and dice enemies , or maybe rewind time . It will make you wonder how you could pull off all those impossibly cool moves with just a push of a button . It just never gets old .

    This game is great, but apparently on the PC version you can't get any of the cool secrets like on the console versions. Plus, this game wasn't much of a challenge. All in all though, it's one of the better games that I've played recently.

    You just know a game's going to be good when the only two bad metacritic ratings are from people reviewing the wrong game. This game has intelligent gameplay and story. The wind-back-time system is perfect for games like this that rely on making dodgy jumps. There's one bit in the game where you can't use it and it makes you appreciate it so much more. It's magical and you really grow to like the characters. Just like Final Fantasy or Call of Juarez, this game's story actually stayed with me. Most games don't manage that. 10/10… Expand

    This game is one of the best games i have played this year it has a great fighting system and the environments are cool as hell and the best part about this game is the puzzle solving but it aint no lame puzzles its full interactive environments that are the puzzle. This game is the shiot and totally buyable.

    Outstanding game to say the least. I liked the puzzles, movement and action of this game. I look forward to playing all the rest of the PoP games now. Well done Ubisoft. Still a great game to play in 2011.

    A great game even by today's standards. There aren't many issues with the game. The combat is fun despite its lack of depth, but if you look at more modern games like Assassin's Creed, even PoP SoT does a much better job at making the action feel lively and fluent. This is well-done because cutscenes aren't too long and the story is told gradually to keep your interest. This game to the genre in 6th generation is what Batman Arkham Asylum is to 7th gen.     Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time stands out for almost ten years as one of the most entertaining and enjoyable games ever released to a game console, thanks to an amazing soundtrack, very good pacing, interesting story and gorgeous scenarios.

    I took only one issue with this game, and for me it was a pretty minor thing. The combat in this game can be a tad repetitive. Other than that, I found the story engaging, the puzzles challenging and fun, the levels well put together, and the characters were even well developed. Since the remake is nowhere near release, and it's been almost two years since the first and only trailer, I'm going to look back at the original.

    I played Prince of Persia The Sands of Time for the first time at the age of seventeen. That was three years ago. Even though it was 2019 and many more advanced games were out by that time, Prince of Persia managed to completely enthrall me.

    What I find superior and unique about the game are mainly these three things: Combat, parkour and time-bending mechanics. And most importantly how they are integrated into each other.

    Combat is relatively simple and can be mastered easily. You attack with a sword and a dagger which you can slow down time with, paralyze enemies or even rewind time if you've done something unwanted and want to try again. The dagger requires sands of time which can be obtained by sucking it from a downed enemy. If you don't manage to do it in time, the enemy will get reanimated. Acrobatic elements like overhead jumps and wall jumps are great to use and watch thanks to dynamic camera angles. The combat has many animations (attacks from different positions to enemies) which are making it look smoother.

    Parkour is unique in this game. It is so entertaining and challenging. I don't know about any other game with climbing that amusing. It is often incorporated into puzzles and as well as the combat it requires time-bending.

    Other minor things are great. Such as hidden upgrades. Health regaining system and foreshadowing visions at save points are interesting too.

    Art style and level design, also story and characters are excellent in this game.

    The Sands of Time is a perfect game in every way and there is so much space for mistakes to be made in the remake. For a game from 2003 it is still very unique and there aren't many games like it. SW Jedi Fallen Order is probably the most similar but unlike Prince of Persia it focuses more on combat rather than traversal.    … Expand

But this dosen't tarnish POP:SOT, it is still one the most brilliant games I've ever played.… Expand

    The very idea of what a good game must be. The controls and camera are perfect, waaay better than in the other games of the series though it is the most ancient. Graphics haven't aged much but the game doesn't support HD resolutions. The story is amazing too. Instant favorite.

    A true persian feeling , great environment and never forget the heart touching music. As a game it has everything that make you addicted of persian legends and arabian nights.

    This is one of the best action games i've played. Great story, great combat, great visuals. The game has some very nice sad and happy moments. If you haven't played it yet, go get it :)

    Revolutionary when it came out and an unexpectedly pleasant experience for me, who was not into action games. The movement, the mechanics, the storytelling and especially the locations were great and beyond what I expected. In most ways this has not been topped since.

If U R looking 4 some fighting game with some puzzles, than Pronce of Persia Warrior Within is just perfect for you... And if you wanna some puzzle game, than that one and Pronce of Persia The 2 Thrones are ideal 4 U. I like puzzles and some fighting so it's a very good game IMO.     There are bugs (sometimes you have to restart from the last checkpoint because of a bugged out rope; the dialog volume is often too low), the camera is really hard to control and there are weird angles which is annoying while platforming. During combat you often attack the wrong enemy (like you use special attack on a standing enemy instead of finishing one off). It works great on **** computers too because of that. I'm using the GOG version, I heard they fixed a few bugs. I'm not sure how widescreen works, maybe it stretches it, but I didn't see it unstretched, so I don't know. Story's great. It's a great game, you should play it, you should play the whole series. I played the other games when I was young and I loved them, that's why I decided to play this now, and I'll replay the other games after this too.… Expand

    The game that indirectly begun the Assassin's Creed series. SoT has some good combat, good parkour, and solid graphics and visuals to boot. The main issue, however, is the quite forgettable plot. However, most of the experience is great and shows the beginnings of some of the mechanics seen in the AC games.

    Pros: The puzzles and traps can be very challenging (sometimes maddening); one has to be really careful and thoughtful throughout the game. The combat is even more challenging; I became good at fighting the sand creatures only after finishing the entire game. Graphics are decent in perspective of the year during which the game was released. Music is great. The amazing reverse feature allows the Prince to go back in time, so if he dies or messes up, it is possible to undo his follies. Story-line is really awesome and keeps you hooked to the game, and so are the dialogues and taunts between the Prince and his companion, Farah. No wonder they made a Hollywood movie based on the game's story-line.

    Cons: One feature that I really hated was the camera view. It became really frustrating to manipulate the prince when the camera view changed; right became straight, left became backward, and so forth. This was especially bad during combat scenes. As a result, the Prince dies countless times. Also, it is not possible to save the game whenever you want, you must wait for the advent of time portals; however, these portals are sometimes separated too far apart. Thankfully if you die, the game will let you start a tad bit after the earlier portal, yet you frequently have to go through very difficult puzzles and traps repeatedly until you make it to the next portal. Next drawback is that the tutorial for the continuous jumping from one wall to the adjacent wall until the Prince reaches the top was not very helpful; I had to do a Google search to figure out how to do this. And finally, one gets the opportunity to go to "wonder chambers" to drink magical water and increase the Prince's overall health; however, it is easy to overlook the fact that his overall health has increased slightly after each visit. I realized what was going on toward the end of the game, when I did not have enough health to survive the Tower of Dawn combat scene. So I had to go back and start from the middle of the game to visit all those missed "wonder chambers."

    Conclusion: Despite its shortcomings, this game is very addictive and is a class of its own when it comes to puzzles, traps, story-line, and combat. Had the developers fixed the camera view issues during combat scenes, I would have given this game a 9.    … Expand

    Very fun game to play. The story simple and to the point. The time mechanic really well made. I finished it on one sitting!! However, the in game cutscenes for me were out of sync, meaning I would first hear the a couple lines of dialog and then the character would move his/her mouth. All in all a pretty unique experience...

    Las cosas hay que entenderlas dentro del momento en que se hicieron. Evidentemente el juego ahora es difícil de llevar si nunca lo habías jugado por que ha envejecido mucho, pero para su momento fue genial y tuvo mecánicas muy bien implementadas y originales.

    На тот момент игра на PC выглядела очень красиво. Но больше всего меня порадовала боевая система и паркур. На то время для меня это было в новинку. Да игры с паркуром были, но очень корявые. Здесь же всё, ну на тот момент мне казалось, что всё работало.
    Меня очень зацепил сюжет, эдакая восточная сказка. Жаль, что эта история в Warrior Within была спущена в унитаз.
    Но самое лучшее это атмосфера игры. Из неё просто не хотелось выходить, в отличии от того же сиквела в который напротив не хотелось возвращаться. Хотя в Warrior Within была своя фишка, но сейчас не об этом.
    Да при первом прохождении меня просто выбесил бой с "Песчаным королём", но при повторном прохождении я на нём даже не напрягся. И это вообще, я бы сказал, какая то особенность последних пяти частей Принца. Там где при первом прохождении разбивал мышь, при повторном трудностей даже не замечаешь.
    Подведу итог.
    Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time не только стала одной из моих любимых игр, но и положила начало целой игровой вселенной. Так же она показала на долгие годы вперёд как надо делать игры с паркуром.
    К сожалению сейчас эта серия находится в упадке. Как мне кажется из за самокопирования. Ну нельзя продавать людям долгие годы по сути одну и ту же игру, только с разными сюжетами. Как мне кажется Ubisoft надо было развивать идеи Prince of Persia 2008, но после неё авторы опять скопировали сами себя в Forgotten Sands и на этом всё закончилось. А жаль.
    Сейчас готовится к выходу Sands of Time Remake, первая часть серии на новом движке. Ну что, как говорится: Будем посмотреть!    … Expand

    Любимая игра детства, может даже первая полноценная одиночная компания которую я прошел.
    Самое крутое это сказочная восточная атмосфера, и конечно главная фишка игры - взаимодействие со временем, аналогов я больше не встречал.

    This game is awesome and the fact of playing it alongside Farah makes the game less lonely. I didn't like the sound effect very much, they're quite simple, but of course it wasn't a thing to stop me from playing it 4 times.

    Este juego revivió la historia del Príncipe contada desde una perspectiva mas leal a lo que el creador quiso demostrar con sus juegos originales y fue hecho en una época en la que Ubisoft era sinónimo de entretenimiento asegurado. Fue el primer juego de la franquicia en introducir modelos 3D y animaciones con moción de captura.

    It was my first pop game. I will play other games. It was a good introduction to the series. I liked it in general.
    1-) Combat: I like it. It's very smooth for the year. I especially enjoyed using the wall a lot. We can call it 'Cheese'. Using the knife to turn back time, slowing down, freezing the enemy is the main point of the game. well done.
    2-) Platforming: Not bad, sometimes    It was my first pop game. I will play other games. It was a good introduction to the series. I liked it in general.

    3-) Puzzles: Generally simple though. The moon puzzle confused me.
    4-) Desings: Level desing mostly has a linear straight progression. But some places have secrets. Places are good but usually the same. Atmosphere isn't bad. Music are ok. Enemy designs could have been more diverse. There could have been more boss fights. It added depth to the story.    … Expand

Aynı şekilde tırmanma mekanikleri de tekdüzelikten uzak. Tırmanmak, atlamak, sallanmak ve benzeri akrobatik hareketleri yapabilmek için birçok farklı tuşa basmanız gerekebiliyor.
    Sonuç olarak günümüz standartları için bile harika olan bir oyun olduğunu söyleyebilirim.

    An exciting and interesting game with fun gameplay, cool level design, and excellent platforming. The game is filled with the atmosphere of Eastern fairy tales, danger, secrets, mysticism, riddles, traps, and the coolest parkour of those times!
