    Well let's see.... launcher down for almost 2 days upon release so I can't play it. Launcher goes back online and the game is no longer available. A game I PAID for. 3 days after release date and no update from Rockstar except that the files are being REMOVED from the game.

    The graphics have become better.
    Minuses: Removed about 50 tracks from GTAVC and GTASA; Terrible character models; Removed fog in GTASA that added atmosphere and gave the illusion of a huge world; Old bugs are not fixed; New bugs have appeared; Unstable FPS; Terrible weather effects; All scripts are stupidly copied from the originals and the same old engine is responsible    Pros:

    If this is the quality for remaster editions of games, then I will not be buying any more of these types of games. These is a worser then the previous games. Everything is poorly done like a quick paint job. Was this RockStar's C team doing this game? The customers are not or NEVER should be the beta testers. Though the environmental graphics are amazing. I don't like the sky too much but that's just my opinion. I just wish Rockstar up-ed their game and release something that was worth the money.     I don't know what Rockstar was thinking when making this game. The game is in a terrible state, no changes have been made except for the graphics. The game mechanics haven't even changed. We are playing the same game that came out 20 years ago. Also, the rain effect in the game is a disaster. In short, the legendary series is ruined. Rockstar has done a really disastrous job after all these years.

    On its own this release doesn't deserve a zero. I'd say it's a little short of mediocre, but I've seen far worse in my time as a gamer. But there's no way I can forgive Take Two and Rockstar for the horrible way they've treated the community, for the fact that they've issued and are still issuing DMCAs to modders or for pulling the originals from online stores in order to steer people intoOn its own this release doesn't deserve a zero.     Three remasters and three unfinished and unpolished piles of product for 60$. The thing i like for the most is the map and fake interiors almost everywhere in the buildings, but that's a part of the graphics, you can't use them to mod the original SA. Other things as:

They even have some difference in a level of no detalization. Also characters tend to stay in some creepy poses. No ragdoll, alot of textures look like they've been just upscaled by AI, some are messed up. No collision in some places, there's a mix of Xbox/PS/mobile version cars(some cars have 3d engines,some don't) /icons/another stuff, suspensions and textures on some cars don't look good, decision on the wheels are weird, some songs are deleted, almost no new features (gps is fine, but it's not really needed because the maps are pretty small) Why? That's even not all flaws/bugs, whatever. Аnd optimisation SUCKS. That's not even a full UE4 port - RenderWare works as the main part of the game, and i think, if you would try fix all flaws and bugs to make it into a decent game, renderware will be dead from both mods and UE4. And it's already dying, fps drops drastically in some places. And all this cost 60$ after T2 banned all mods, rly? That's bold, T2    … Expand

People that did this "definitive" edition should never be allowed to get near a Video Game series more than 100 meters. There should be some kind of court law dedicated to them. There is no way, like i bet some 14 y.o with some coding experience could've made a better "Definitive" edition. There is no hope for anything to come from this company. The fact those "developers" pretend like they made a good job on twitter is even worse, people needs to get fired, seriously a lot of them. Because you pay those people to remaster a game and they make **** this. If i were the company i would ask them to pay me instead because they are literally able to stay at the **** office doing NOTHING but harm. I cannot even explain myself correctly about this thing without reaching the character limit. Do not buy this thing, i swear you'll get colon cancer or something after playing for 30 minutes. Your Girlfriend will breakup with you, your dad will disown you if he sees you playing this. Just for the love of god download an Emulator and play the PS2 rom, it's better. Even trying to write a review about this thing feels wrong. Because for me to be able to write a review, there should be something positive.     It's baffling how or why this package came out in the state that it's in.     The game's being review bombed for a ton of reasons - mostly ignorant nonsense - but it definitely has its issues. The modern aiming mechanics are bad, some of the weather effects are overemphasized, the soundtracks have obviously been altered due to licensing issues, and the game runs a bit jankily considering there's no reason for 20 year old games to run anything but flawlessly, even on a new engine.

    I wouldn't really recommend this. It's not the catastrophe the review bombing indicates, but it's definitely sub-par.    … Expand

    The only game in the trilogy that was playable. Only game in trilogy with checkpoints in the middle of missions, I liked that. The gameplay and story was good as always. The rest was horrible. The character models here horrible, bugs all the time, invincible bridge, not rendered mountain that you could fall through and a horrible invisible barrier that blocked the way for me in a aThe only game in the trilogy that was playable.     Rockstar dropped the ball on this remaster. The cars and other moving models look like plastic toys and the cities look like polished excrement. The contrast between the environment and the models is horrible and the list of bugs is long and obnoxious. Quality of life changes are the only redeeming part of this remaster that does no favours for fans or newcomers. Skip it until they either fix it or let the moders do their job.

    I cannot currently recommend Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition on the PC, and a lot has to happen until I do. The truth is that I've had a decent amount of fun with this remaster; part of it is based on nostalgia, and part of it is based on some ridiculous, unavoidable bugs that weren't as frequent as I'd feared. Given all of these issues and the abysmal performance of the three games on the PC, I'd stay away from the trilogy until several major updates have been released. Even then, this remaster may not be for everyone.

    Overall, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition was set up to be one of the best things for GTA fans and it failed to hit that mark. It will now be remembered as a failure to launch title but I am sure Rockstar will step in and continue to fix some items within their game world.
